The tread through the desert had been eventful, to say the least. Despite still lacking answers to much of her questions she was content with the knowledge that a village was within sights. If there was anything that could calm her nerves from being out on her own, it was that she had a purpose here. There was something she had to get done, and that was to find any sign of relation. Though she had no idea how she was going to get started with that quest –she practically knew no one, having visited her relatives on rare occasions and even then, rarely did she bother much with them. They liked to talk shop quite a lot and it was the kind of talk she didn’t like getting involved with, because it meant persuasions towards career paths she’d long forgotten about considering.
It was a sad thought, still, that she didn’t even bother to strengthen familial bonds. In a time such as this, all she really could turn to was family. Although becoming a shinobi had it’s advantages with her current situation, she thought that if she’d gone and accepted her heirdom then perhaps she wouldn’t be worrying about how to find them.
Well if her village truly was no more…
Youko tried not to think of the implications. Tried not to think of the village to be at an end, to be honest. It was still a pretty fresh wound to have seen her whole life, almost quite literally, get swept up by the wind like a broom sweeping dust out the door. It was swiftly gone, disappearing into a million different fragments in the air.
She followed the general direction to where her previous companion had gone, finding the large stone gate soon enough. Her eyes trailed up the structure, marveling at the handiwork. It was certainly an entrance to a village. She took a step in and waited, balancing her weight on the front and back of her feet. Agitated and excited at the same time. For all she knew, this could be the starting point of a whole new life for her.
She tried not to think about giant sand monsters coming in and eating that this time.
