There were more than a few things that Sabaku needed to take care of since his recent arrival back in Stone, but time was not of the essence and he could afford a quick pit stop. They say that the battles of legendary foes echo through time and if you listen closely enough, you can almost sense the past battle itself. Sabaku had caught wind of his own Superior, Amaya, going toe to toe with a foreigner from cloud. If he recalled correctly, he to was a superior among the people of cloud. What he wouldn't give to witness such a spectacle. Alas all he could do was visit the blood and sweat stained grounds that were the coliseum in which that great battle was fought.
Sabaku slowly walked out into the grounds, centered within the confines of the building. Rows of seats line the inner walls of this magnicificant monument. He could only guess as to how loud it could be with a full house. Taking a deep breath and admiring the surroundings, Sabaku couldn't help but appreciate this place for what it was. A place for those of friendship or even rivalries, to test their meddle against one another. It was all in good sport and usually nobody was seriously injured. Kneeling down for a moment, he took the dirt into his hands and rubbed his fingers with it. He could almost sense the power resonating from this place, the echoes of power in time. Great amounts of chakra condensed into a singular location, seeming to have a lasting effect on the area. Sabaku would linger a moment and see what became of this day.

With his soot-covered cheeks flushed red by the exfoliating steam, Jomei seemed both exhausted and cheerful in the face of his friend of sorts, and took note of his activities, seemingly wasting the day away there.
It would seem that the future leaders of Iwagakure had set their sights on testing one another which was great considering monthly evaluations were cutting close to overdue. How Amaya came to know of such a fated meeting was up in the air. Perhaps she could smell a good battle brewing, perhaps she kept close tabs on Lightening which led her here, or perhaps it was fate. The how was not important in comparison to the why. She needed to be there. She would need to know the skills and capabilities of her members and what better way was there to truely grasp their individual skill and potential. Amaya found a seat next to a well dressed pink haired friend. Surely she did not know Amaya would be there as this was completely impromptu. Amaya would run her fingers through her dark curls and ruffle them a bit. Her emerald green eyes challenging the integrity of their skills but in a good way that expressed her curiosity. Her smile was faint in nature as usual her face revealed no clues as to what she was thinking or feeling but there she sat poised. Amaya would lean back with her arms folded and with one leg crossing the other.
With Jomei's kind words of "encouragement" and his placement within the stands, the fight was on! If what Jomei said was true, it could be possible that a great deal of the anbu could be watching this bout... Seeing as there were no other potential threats on the battlefield, Sabaku could focus entirely on this bandaged anbu. He shuffled his feet and ignored everything else except this girl... Sabaku's training would surely pay off in this match. Releasing the inner workings of the mystical powers that the Goddess had bestowed upon her Warrior of Light, he could feel his body becoming lighter, faster, unpredictable. The energy surged throughout his body, and the visual que of his eyes roared to life, emanating a luminous glow.
