Character Physical Description:
Mittsuami is nothing short of your classic pirate. Her beaded and braided dark brown hair flows past her shoulders, and her green eyes are soft with a warm edge to them. Her skin is sunkissed from her days in the hot sun, and her clothes are layered much like that of a gypsy. Often found in leather and torn clothes, the 5'7" slender woman is easy to spot in a crowd. Her jewelry is all golden, with large hoop earrings, bangles, and rings galore. Someone who enjoys dousing herself in the finer things in life. However, despite the feminine glow the jewels give her, it's taken away by her many tattoos, including on on her face, just under her left eye. Her hands, arms, back, legs, torso, and back of her neck all have ink markings that symbolize various things in her life: like pillaging villages!
Character Behavioral Description:
A stubborn and somewhat hot headed woman, Mittsuami is known to have a bit of a sharp tongue, and snap a little too often. Her temper boils, and it is rarely seen as her having a soft side. With seemingly little to no sympathy, the woman does her job without much of a bat of an eye, and seems to enjoy it. Many may cry 'sadism' on her behalf, but the twisted behaviors are not unknown to her and the many members of her crew. Greed, of course, also comes into play. The starvation for gold and many other materialistic things brings them to their knees, and often to battle as well.
Character History:
Ami grew up on a boat with her father. Born to a gypsy stowaway, and taken in after her violent suicide below deck, the young woman would be known as the Captain's Daughter. Never being forced to uptake the casual wearing of dresses and other girly things that didn't tickle her fancy, the young child grew up known how to work a ship. She lowered masts instead of ballet, and cleaned swords instead of flirting with boys. The young woman, however, was uneducated. Incapable of reading, with no education above the simplicity of the street-smarts from the boat, Mittsuami appeared to be totally happy without formal training.
As she grew older, the crew members, along with her father, would tap into her well-known ninja abilities. Showing her the ropes of mastering jutsu and quick fighting techniques until she too wet on various missions into villages, stealing and torturing the people of the land there. They were merciless and seemed to even find the slightest bit of joy in it.
And even then, the years would pass, until the tempered woman would rise above the crew. She would be left to mourn the death of her father, and take the duty of being captain among herself (having to throw a few overboard for threatening her). It was on that day, age 20, Mittsuami became captain of the Burakparu in the honor of her father's name.
However, the ship, as it sailed the seven sands, would become a bit too cocky. Challenging the military village, Sunagakure, the crew, nearing 100, broke through the gates of Suna--or, that was the plan. They were not prepared for the strange set up of the entrance of the village, and the crew was easily slaughtered and outnumbered by the ANBU of the village, who took them down easily. Mittsuami captured with a threat of execution on her head for her crimes--but rather, the Steward, a man named Takahashi Sousuke, found a more suited punishment. Sentencing Mittsuami to twenty years of serving in the military of his village--no leave to be granted by anyone but himself.
