Name: Ikeda, Shiori
Age: Eight
Gender: Male
Sex: Male
Rank: Academy Student
General Description: Shiori is small boy, typically smaller than other children his age. He often sits hunched over, making himself look even smaller. His dark hair is currently somewhat short and it looks like it was cut messily. His eyes are grey. His skin is pale and burns easily in sunlight. He's a skinny kid, with not much muscle or fat. His clothes are worn and obvious hand-me-downs. They are a couple sizes too large for him. There are more than a couple of holes here and there. Shiori is very twitchy and scares very easily. He very rarely speaks without prompting. He doesn't think much of himself. He cries. Shiori loves to daydream and often makes up stories to tell to himself. In his stories, he often features as the main character, typically a hero with many people that love him. His writing has some patterns to it that might typically be associated with girls.
History: Shiori was the eighth boy born to his family. His father Hachirou was a farmer, as his family had been for generations. His mother, Kasumi, was born to nobility but forsook her family out of love for Hachirou. Shiori was born prematurely and was a sickly baby. Many times it seemed as if he would die, however his mother refused to give up on him. His earliest memories are of his mother's smile as she told him fantastical stories. Shiori remembers that his mother seemed very sad a lot of the time. He always tried to find things that would make her happy. When he was five, he fell very ill, and it took him nearly a year to fully recover. His mother stayed by his side. During this time, she taught him to write. When Shiori was seven, his mother died giving birth to a daughter. Shiori was devastated by her loss and couldn't bear to be around the little sibling that he'd previously been so excited to have. His older brothers were often mean to him. Without his mother, he lacked any protection from their cruelty. His father was a very busy man and could spare no time for his weakest son. In a kinder world, his father might've hesitated to accept the offer of money in exchange for his son, however the world was not kind. Hachirou sold his son to the life of a shinobi.
