Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Today was finally the day after what seemed like an eternity away from the Hospital for her. It was also today that the shinobi that were interested in joining the field would be able to showcase their skills to one of the veteran medics in all of Wind Country and the current head of the Byakko Clan: Lady Yanshi. Yes, it had been a long time since she had last stepped into these pristine grounds of the Hospital and she was beyond rusty compared to her husband who was fighting in the World Martial Arts Tournament and making their clan and their village proud. However as always, there was a tendency of bright eyed and bushy tailed individuals to enter into their field and then randomly disappear within a few months due to a multitude of reasons, but mainly they just vanished without a trace. It was due to this reason that the head of one of the most prestigious clans in all of Sand was going to be sitting in a conference room inside of the Hospital in non-medical garbs eager to meet the potential new recruits instead of being at home watching her children growing up ever so quickly; it was by this point in her life that Kyushiko and Yanjirou were both likely close to being young adults and eventually going off on their own to make their own history, families, and memories.

Nevertheless, there had been posters, letters, and word of mouth for the past month or so that the medical branch was inviting any shinobi interested in the branch to meet with one of the shinobi of the branch and potentially be given an examination and accepted into the branch. The key word was potentially as there had been people who were excited to join the branch because they failed to show the examiners that they were ready for the tasks that would be thrown on their shoulders or they simply accidentally killed patients and were now scarred for life or spending some quality time with the ANBU. See, there had been some shinobi who seemed eager and likely would have made great medics, but they had a tendency to be too rough on the patients, which was easy to notice, and they either made them uncomfortable or killed them. In any case, those were both major no-nos.

When the interested parties would arrive to the main entrance of the Hospital, they would be acknowledged by the receptionist with a smile and wave. If they approached her, they would be asked what they needed today and would be escorted to the conference room if they informed her of their interest in the medical branch. When they arrived in the conference room, they would notice huge whiteboards on all the pristine walls and a rectangular table that housed swivel, yes swivel, chairs with nice cushioning on them. In the room as well, you had the generic trash and recycling bins. When the interested parties were seated, the receptionist would tell them that Lady Yanshi would be with them shortly. However, if they did not approach her or acknowledge her, she would simply keep her smile on her face but carefully be monitoring them to ensure that they weren't getting into areas of the hospital that they certainly did not need to be in and calling security if they did. After all, this was a hospital and there were rules to follow even if it had been blown up numerous times in the past and damaged in a variety of ways.

The question that one would have to ask themselves however was this: Who would actually show up?

  • Welcome to the MiT thread. Let's have fun and enjoy yourselves as we make you all MiTs.
  • I do not know how many people will be joining us, but let's try to keep the thread going. I am anticipating one or two posts a week from myself when everyone else has posted.
  • Play your character as they are meant to be played. Do not mold them to the situation as that is no fun.
  • I will serve as the moderator of this thread so do not godmod. If you godmod, it will not be good or fun for anyone.
  • Image is just to make the post more lively.

Akazukin was heading to the hospital for a different reason than most times. Normally she only comes here to visit her friend Hakuren whom always seems to end up in here. Hakuren had chronic anemia it it flares up form time to time and normally at inconvenient moments. She never comes due to her own injures for she was quite the healer and can normally fix herself rather nicely. Today however she was her to participate in an exam to allow her into the medical branch. Yesterday she received a letter inviting her, which she was a little impressed that they knew to send the letter to the casino. Akazukin has mental issues and normally sleeps in some uncommon areas such as the Devil's Lair.

Akazukin never considered joining the medical field before for she already was a proficient healer in her book. What would the medical feild have to offer her? She was debating joining the anbu so that she could learn their secret arts, but the branch as a whole was not exactly he cup of tea. She may be a hunter, but she hunts animals not humans. For the longest time she simply staid in the main branch due to lack of decision. She was on the fence and this letter she received finally got her to actually pick a side.

Akazukin walks into the the hospital and up to the receptions desk showing her the invitation. Akazukin was then escorted to what appears to be a conference room of some sort. For no apparent reason she takes a seat closest to the door. Akazukin had to wonder if she was going to be the only one participating in this little event or will there be more. Either way she was sure she would pass with her temporal powers.

In one swing he put his coat on his back and slipped his arms through the sleeves before leaving. He was just that little bit excited, not in an way that he was afraid of what was to come today, but since he knew what he was doing would get him closer to his goal. That was if he succeded, but that was not his concern, in his mind he should be pretty good prepared for becomming a so called trainee. They surely wouldn't ask him to perform operations that would require special ninjutsu techniques, that's wh it was called Medic In Training. So yes he was pretty confident, even if he kept thinking about it. Becoming a Medic, huh? I suppose that is a good start. The far to sweet, girlish voice in the back of his head interrupted his thoughts. That said, he still didn't knew what she wanted from him and asking her would just make her shut up, not that he minded, but he wouldn't find out her goal that way. He was a doctor with a demon inside him, but that as not the actual bad part, it was it corrupted his body and chakra. If he had been someone else, he might've apreciated the strength he was getting from it, but having a chakra that could scare others away and even make them feel sick inside was not the greatest. Maybe there was a way to seal the thing to only make it appear when he wanted to, but he had no time for asking or thinking about the girl or demon or whatever she was, he had already arrived at the hospital and was ready to enter.

Inside he straight up went for the reception to not waste any time and tell them he was here for the exam. They brought him to the meeting room where he was to wait. Fine by him, he could wait, there was just one thing in the room already grabbing his attention, well someone rather and it was even someone he just got to know recently. He looked towards the woman who the last time had been summoning large amounts crystals sitting now next to where he had entered. He himself sat down a few seats away, greeting her with an, "Why hello, what a surprise, I didn't expect us to meet so soon again."

Jiro looked at the invitation in his hand, still unable to believe that he had gotten into the Medical Exam. It seemed his reputation had proceeded him and his plan had worked. The blonde thought it would be beneficial to his own plans in the long run. Not many people knew, but the Chigokai had his own agenda, something that not even the Kitsune he so religiously followed knew about. As he made his way to the hospital, blue eyes scanned the clean, white area. He shivered slightly and winced, flashbacks of what had happened when he had woken up after trying to escape Akkuma filled his mind, forcing him to shake those thoughts out of his head.

He had been foolish to think he could escape the fox, but that was not what he wanted to think about in that moment. He handed his letter to the kunoichi at the front desk and waited as she gave him the directions to the conference room. Once she handed him the letter back, he smirked and giggled. Wandering through the labyrinth that was the hospital, he found the room he thought he was supposed to be in. Well, it was the room that seemed to house only one other participant. Jiro looked at the woman he was familiar with. He sat next to her, spinning in the swivel chair with a giggle. "Wheee..." he said, before stopping the spinning so he was facing her. "You got invited to this too?" he asked her.

To most people, being in a room with someone who they had rejected not too long ago would be a bit intimidating, but Jiro was not most people. And he may have been more in need of a room in the asylum instead of a spot as a med-nin, but he seemed to be doing fine left to his own devices. Or at least the devices given to him by Akkuma in order to better himself. A small giggle escaped him again as he spun around in the swivel chair again. "I liked hunting with you, Aka-Chan..." he finally admitted, mid-spin.

But another presence soon caught his attention. His chair stopped spinning as he felt the flow of the stranger's blood. He tensed slightly as he stopped the chair, looking at the other carefully. The person across from him and Akazukin was a male and there was something about his blood that drew him. He giggled as he looked him over and rocked back and forth on his chair. "When did you get here?" he asked, biting his lip and running a hand through his own blonde hair.

It was only a short time before all the participants that were participating in this meeting would make their arrival to the designated location in the Hospital and be seated in their respective chairs. Each one of them summoned for various reasons and definitely not due to the fact that the majority of them knew Miroku Akkuma since there was no knowledge available for anyone at the Hospital to know that unless they were blabbermouths when they were there and told their life stories to the nurses and doctors that were doing their checkups or what not. No, they each had been summoned because they had caught the interest of someone in the medical branch or simply had shown promise in some way to other shinobi in the village that decided to drop their name to the Hospital. What exactly would the three of them have to endure to possibly be offered the title of a Medic in Training? It was honestly anyone's guess, but if Lady Yanshi of the prestigious Byakko Clan was controlling the situation, it would be fair and challenging to put it mildly especially since her husband was the same way.

It was only a minute or two after the last of the trio entered that Shou-Shou, otherwise know as Byakko Yanshi Shouken, entered the room closing the door behind her and smiling at the three of them with a wave. Her golden feline-like eyes would look at each of them individually as she nodded at each of them. In all honesty, she would look at the blonde haired boy who was playing in his chair by spinning and she wanted to smack him upside the head, but she knew that she needed to wait until they were a part of the cult branch before she could really get on their butts about things like this. For now, she left it go as she crossed her arms in front of her chest and tilted her head at each of them.

"Let's begin with introductions. I am Byakko Yanshi Shouken otherwise known as Lady Yanshi in the village and I am the head of the Byakko Clan and married to one of the medical chiefs of the branch, Byakko Kyuji, who is away at the tournament in Tea to make our village proud" she would explain to the three of them as she nodded again before closing her eyes momentarily to allow herself a moment to take a deep breath in and let it out. She used to be one of the individuals who did some of the introductions and examinations for the medical branch, but since having a family, she was rusty to put it mildly. In any case though, she would have to gut through it as she reopened her eyes with a smile resurfacing on her face as she said: "Tell me who you are, your age, and why you want to become a shinobi in our medical branch."

Akazukin rolls her eyes as Jiro spins around in the chair like a little kid, “Yes I was invited here as well.” She never would have guessed Jiro would be interested in the medical branch. For some reason she always pictured him as more of an Anbu type. Akazukin gives a small giggle at Jiro’s next statement as she remember the event he spoke of. “Hunting WITH me or hunting ME?” She stressed certain words in her statement to make her meaning clear. The little outing they had in the desert was definitely a night to remember.

Akazukin was a little surprised to see Tatara walking in through the doorway, “Well what do we have here? Another one that has wandered into my crystal forest.” Tatara caught Akazukin feeling homesick. However unlike Jiro, his visit to the forest was quite short lived. “I thought you were already a medic.” She could have sworn he mentioned being a doctor.

Soon there instructor arrives and she was a bit breathtaking in more than one way. She was from quite a famous clan with in the village of sand. Her name carried some considerable weight, which leads Akazukin to believe this exam was a serious matter. Akazukin almost wanted to slap Jiro for horse playing. The woman asks them three questions with one of them being something she would prefer to keep secret. “My name is Inugami Akazukin and I believe my powers can well contribute to the medical field.” Akazukin then takes out a piece of paper and writes something on it being sure no one was looking over her shoulder. She then folds the paper in half and then half again. She gets up from her seat and hands the woman the piece of paper. “As for my age.” If the woman opens the note she word see the word thirty, but not for long. Shortly after being viewed the ink would leap off the paper an transform into a bird.

Tatara kept his usual smile at the womans remark, he completely ignored Jiro while he did so, that person was nobody he particularly wanted to make firends with as the first impression was something he put a lot of worth into. The blonde male didn't seem to have the most self control or really cared that much about being here, so the white robed young man hoped he'd just fail. Even if there was the case that he was confident about this, in Medicine self control was necessary. Anyways, he didn't lie, she just expected the wrong thing, so he had better cleared it up for her. "Well, you see, I might aswell be one of the best non-ninja doctors out there, but I still have yet to get into all of this stuff here. I am confident I will be able to get through ofcourse, but I just haven't had the chance yet." Again he held back in asking about her reation to the other guy, or he probably would have called him a stray dog.

When their instructor entered, or what he expected to be one, his attention solely focused on her. She had hair similiar to his own, which seemed to be explained by her heritage. Byakko, huh? He couldn't say he had met one of those before, but he had heard about them, especially about the medic chief the woman spoke of, again, despite not meeting him. Information was key afterall. He also knew said chief was out of the country, a topic he had thought about when he hard about it, mostly on the question why a medic was the one fighting, surely there would be a lot of work left piled up here, no? In any way, she was a good looking woman, but Tatara as always was more interested in anatomy, if one were to cut her up, woud there be differences in the make up of their bodies? Or were the ears just decoration? Questions over questions, he probably thought to much again. So since Akazukin seemed to be done with her fancy introduction, he thought it was his turn. "My name is Yamasaki Tatara, 21 and I am already a very knowedgable doctor. I have learned all across the continent before I came to Suna. My goal is to raise the living conditions for as many people as possible, save lifes and focus my mind on the future for everybody."

"Too late, too late... D;"

She knew where she had to be, she knew how late she had to be at the lessons, but her overly-long sleeping mother had failed to give her the note of invitation for the MiT class. Even when she woke and remembered it, the wily woman just had to play little tricks with her daughter before she gave the letter some five minutes before the lessons were about to start. In blind panic, Misaki had snatched the letter out of her mother's hands who was still reading it out aloud in slow pace. Grabbing the rice ball of a fellow priest, who yelled as he shook his fist, she ran through the streets of the Diamond District, up the building and jumping from building to building to take the shortest route possible. Eating along the road, she moved form the Diamond District towards the Medical Facility as fast as her young legs could possibly carry her.

She barged through the entrance, failing to introduce herself at the reception and state her reasons for visiting. and dashed through the hallways of the first floor much to the nurses' displeasure. She slid out of one hall into the other, opened the door towards the stairs as she didn't want to wait for the elevator, ran up the stairs until she reached the right floor, exited the stairs and dashed once more through the hallways until she ran straight into a doctor. The man was large and bulky, moving not in the slightest as the kid ran into him and bumped back into the floor. Confused, she looked up at the giant, light reflecting in his glasses. Misaki stood back up, dusted off her white and red priestess hakama, and bowed to apologise. The man nodded and chuckled softly as he mentioned he was fine.

"You'll find class at the end of the hallway"

Having thanked the doctor, Misaki sprinted the last couple of meters, stopping short in front of the door. Catching her breath, she made sure she looked presentable by dusting off her clothes off once more and brushing back her hair. Knocking on the door, she peeked in briefly before stepping inside and bowed apologetically to the people who were already there. She hoped no one would ask why she was late, as explaining that her mother had forgotten about the letter and then played games with her about it was not quite what she felt like sharing as she doubted those not of the clan would not really appreciate the explanation.

"Sorry for being late. Can I still join the lessons?"
