Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kenshin decided to host a special class. Normally, he was the go to taijutsu instructor but there seemed to be a demand for genjutsu. Unknown to many in Leaf, Kenshin was an expert Genjutsu user. He often used this to his advantage in combat confusing the enemy with his punches and using genjutsu his special way.

Today he booked a class in the academy itself. He put on the notice board the class number and the topic which was genjutsu. He would wait at the front of the class. ON the board would be his name and a simple diagram of the chakra system. Kenshin stood there in his black training outfit and his military vest. His silver eyes would lock with those who entered and he would nod in affirmation. His short silver hair would be shining in the sunlight that streamed through the window.

AFter everyone would enter, Kenshin would speak.

"Right so the name is Yuu Kesnhin. I am the main branch sennin. Please introduce yourself." Kenshin would say as he looked around the class. He eyes would lock with the student who was talking to show that he was paying attention.

Asuka ran along the hallway of the Academy, apparently the main branch Sennin was going to be giving a class today! How exciting was that?! She could not wait to start, truly an honor to be taught by a Shinobi of such rank. She wondered what they would get to learn? Probably some fancy form of Taijutsu. Or some new standard Ninjutsu! Some survival tactics, or maybe it would be stamina exercises to be more fit, run faster and further. Man, so many thoughts came into her mind but she wouldn't know until she got there.

Asuka quickly opened the door to the classroom and walked in front of the teacher, he seemed intimidating but so coooool! "Asuka reporting for class!" She said bowing her head in respect. Today would be a better day than yesterday. "I hope you can teach me lots of stuff!" Asuka took her site in one of the front desks, her feet dangling in front of her. This was so exciting and Kenshin-sensei was sooo cooool!

It made only sense that a residential studious individual like herself would often keep tabs of the notices that were posted at the academy, as learning was something that she didn’t find a hassle at all. As long as it would help her progress towards her goals, she was welcome to anything that would present her benefit. Genjutsu wasn’t a subject that she particularly had deep interest in however that was due to her lack of knowledge of it, she knew the barebones that it focused on what was illusionary but other than that everything else about it was completely shrouded in mysteries.

And so when the time for the lesson had arrived, Hanako would find herself be one of the first few entering into the classroom. She was feeling a bit chirpy, perhaps exhilarated at the chance that she had the possibility of learning something new however soon enough as she came to realise that she would have to learn It with others her age, confrontational issues caused unease to well up within her stomach. To combat this, she made sure to place her small self in a placement that wouldn’t receive much attention such as a corner, quietly awaiting there with an attentive gaze on not only the teacher but also other students whom were a bit too close for comfort.

Once the teacher whom announced himself to be known as “Yuu Kenshin” had asked for a name, the small girl would dive into the pockets of her mid-length black trousers to procure forth a large set of blank paper and a stone chalk one could find lying on any grassy terrain. With eloquent gestures, the blonde child seemed to write her name in hiragana before holding it out towards the teacher showcasing the words that were written upon it. ‘ さわだ はなこ (Sawada Hanako)

Oh back to school.

His hands were stuffed into the pockets of his black pants, and his white robe like shirt matched the snowy color of his hair as he walked up towards the academy. Darasu's eyes scanned the hallways but saw no familiar faces right away, and he continued onward in silence. This class that he had heard about through the grape vine was something that he was very much so looking forward to, as the concept of genjutsu had always fascinated and captivated him. To be able to alter ones own reality and disrupt the perception of those around him? Marvelous!
As usual his bokken was strapped to his right hip and bounced back and forth as he walked until he came upon the room that had been posted and peered into the door. The legendary sennin with silver hair stood at the front of the room, and Darasu walked in slowly returned the nodding gesture as he entered. He had never met this man before, nor seen him in action but of course there were stories of the man's feats all through out the gossip of shinobis.

The Haku heir found a seat that was somewhere in the middle of the rows and waited until it was his turn to speak. He stood up, looked around the room and finally finished his gaze on the sennin known as Yuu Kenshin. Darasu spoke clearly with confidence, he was going to nail this class. "I am Darasu." and gave a slight bowing nod to the room before returning to his seat.

Riku took off sprinting through the hallway of the academy with a blanket wrapped around his shoulders, a torn up piece of paper that once was his class schedule in one hand, a half filled tea cup in the other. His pants still soaked from his time in the water, he left a small water trail in his wake.

“How can I be late again?!” He exclaimed.

Once he finally reached the classroom he was designated, with a grin he threw open the door and walked into the classroom, looking around the room at the students within. Some of them seemed familiar, Riku thought, as he turned towards the teacher.

“Hideki Riku,” Riku said happily, throwing a hand up in cheer, “Reporting for duty!”

He realised too late that the hand he threw up was the one containing his tea from the last class, it flew upwards and landed upon his arm. The abnormally warm tea burning his arm, to which Riku had to lament with a yelp. He looked down at his arm with a groan, crudely wrapping the torn piece of paper around it in some hope that it would count as a bandage. He then looked back at the room with a awkward smile,

“I’ll just sit down.”

Riku jogged towards one of the seats, collapsing beside a student. His light brown robes were loose on his chest, the wrappings having come apart during the run to the classroom. His neck and back were covered by a soft brown blanket, he wasn’t entirely sure if he was supposed to return the blanket after use. His soaked pants continued to drip distractingly onto his sandaled foot, a fact Riku tried to cover up by staring towards the teacher. He probably didn't look appropriate for class, however he suspected that the teachers shouldn't have classes so early in the day to begin with.

Kenshin would look around at the student. 4 students total. Not a bad turn out. One was almost too late. Still it mattered little.

"Right. So this is a basics class but I have some questions for you. Each one of you give me your answer to the following questions. A few sentences at most will do. Some of these will have the same answer.

Number 1: What is Genjutsu and which of the 5 senses can it affect at the same time?

Number 2: How is Genjutsu typically administered to an enemy and what are the advantages and disadvantages of this?

Number 3: In combat, what are the dis advantages and advantages of using genjutsu?

Number 4: What is an example of a genjutsu and what sense does it affect?

So, raise your hands and we will go in order of hands raised. What do you think?"

Kenshin asked his eyes still piercing the students. This was the basics. genjutsu was a little more complex than ninjutsu and taijutsu. It required more information and finesse.

Asuka listened closely to Kesnshin, so they were supposed to each give answers to his questions, 4 in total. Well, it was easy enough. Asuka has been studying her Genjutsu since her Tutor with Takeshi, even mastered some of them. Asuka raised her hand, once it seemed it was okay to start she stood up and thought for a bit, not wanting to embarrassed herself. "One: Genjutsu, falls under Yin release. Technique that manipulates the targets chakra, particularly one of the senses making the target see, hear or even feel something that isn't real. As stated before it targets the mind, ears, eyes and sense of touch. Nailed one.

Asuka thought for a moment about this, in her case a simple stare would be enough but the usual method were beyond her... although she could figure it out. "Two: Genjutsu are administered by manipulating the chakra system in the particular area your targeting, some use sound, other's use movement, other's trick the mind into seeing something that's not real. Advantages are multiple, the target's guard is concentrated on something else making it a lot easier to hit, hitting the mind would make the target lose morale or even conciousness if it's strong enough. Fear is usually what the mind Genjutsu goes for." She smiled, feeling confident on her knowledge. "Disadvantages, well... that I can't answer properly." She laughed nervously, scratching the back of my head. "My guess would be that it costs Chakra to cast and even more to mantain the Genjutsu."

"For the third question, well it makes the target vulnerable. Confusing a Shinobis senses is one of the best tactics one can pull since the target wouldn't be able to react accordingly to certain situations." Asuka sighed. "Although if the target was trained against Genjutsu it would be easy to break out of it which only means loss of Chakra for the user. Some can even turn the Genjutsu against the user." That was true... for her at least.

"Lastly: Deaf, as the name states it makes the target unable to hear. Making it easier to use stealth and attack. It affects hearing!"

With that, Asuka sat back down with a smile on her face, it made her happy that she actually knew how to answer the questions correctly... at least that's what she thought. Either way, if Kenshin was kind enough to correct where she's wrong then she would be very grateful. She loved being told that she was wrong, with evidence that made sense, it just made her smarter!

Riku stood dumbfounded at the questions posed by the teacher, how was he supposed to know all this?! He glanced between the fellows of his class, a drip of cold sweat beginning to form on his forehead. Just as he made a move to raise his hand and attempt to guess the answers, the student he’s never seen before rose up.

The girl began to announce all the answers to Riku’s amazement, a wide smirk growing on his face as she talked. Riku may not of been an expert of the inner mechanics of jutsu like this teacher wanted, but he did know one thing a good shinobi always should, take a chance when it’s offered. He quickly reached into his robes and pulled out a frayed quill, it must’ve been wrecked from his previous lesson. He took what he could get, taking out a small container of ink that had thankfully remained sealed during his dip.

By the time he had readied his equipment, the girl had already finished saying the majority of the first question, so he pieced together the few sentences, writing them on the makeshift bandage on his arm. He gave an accomplished grin as he finished the last parts of the girls rambling answers. He then rose, throwing his hand up while keeping his answer written arm levelled in his view.

“I can answer them.” Riku exclaimed, beginning to read off his arm.

“One! Genjutsu … “ Riku said, trying to read his writing, “It manipulates targets in particular the … s-sight, the … vision, ears, touch and … hearing. It’s confusing … to them, I mean.”

Not a good start, Riku admitted to himself, looking at his blurred answers. He didn’t seem to have much skill in writing on bandages. With an internal sigh, he continued, he can’t stop now.

“Two! Genjutsu targets the … system into seeing not … real things, it makes them confused … which helps hit them, making them … morale loose. It has no bad side cause … wait, no.” Riku stopped, noticing it’d wrote two conflicting answers, what had the girl said … “It maintains … a lot of chakra.”

Riku shook his head with a grin, rubbing his forehead.

“Sorry, sir! Just … having trouble explaining, scared of audiences.” Riku said with a shrug.

“Third! It makes them … vul-ern-a … ball. It is … best tactic, cause can’t … re-act to stuff.” Riku explained, “Gen-ju-su … Genjutsu! Genjutsu can be turned to you, which is bad.”

Riku gave a small smile at that, he’d decided to adlib a bit, it probably didn’t look good now anyway.

“Lastl- Fourth! De … ef … de-af! Makes you … no good hear,” Riku said, “Easy to … st-eath .. st-eal-th. It … affecting hears … ears? Ears.”

He gave a small smile to the teacher with a shrug, collapsing back into his chair before glancing around the classroom, the awkward feeling making him feel the wet dripping from his pants again, hearing the soft drops of water on the floor.

(OOC: Sorry for the long response time, was waiting for the others, assumed we were going in order!)

Kenshin would look at each student as they spoke.

"Asuka you seem well versed in Genjutsu. The only answer you partly skipped is true. Genjutsu is very much like ninjutsu in the fact he costs us more chakra than taijutsu. If the opponent knows genjutsu as well and is aware of the jutsu you use, they can counter it as you mentioned. Thank you very much for your answer!" Kenshin would smile at the student.

His attention would turn to Riku who answered which was generous.

"It is ok Riku. I don't expect any knowledge of genjutsu before the class. Asuka did a good job giving the basics. I see hat you took notes." Kenshin was still smiling. "At least you answered and tried!"

He would turn to the board and point to the chakra system.

"Yes the point of genjutsu is using your chakra to confuse your opponent or disrupt them in some way. Deaf is a good basic genjutsu. As you progress you will be able to do many things to your opponents like forcing them to fight their worst nightmare or binding them in place. If you can control the enemy's senses you are at an advantage. Now, most genjutsu does require some level of eye contact. This means that if you KNOW you are facing a genjutsu user you can hopefully avert your eyes. As you can see" he point to the chakra system in the eyes. "The eyes are very close to the chakra system in the brain and offer a direct route to changing the chakra system to benefit you. Now for practice, take these stones."

Kenshin would pull out some chakra stones. They were light blue in color.

"Place these on your forehead. I want you to focus your chakra into them. This will see if you are able to focus your chakra near your eyes which is needed of most genjutsu. You may start when ready." Kenshin would explain as he passed them out.

Asuka smiled once she was given praise for her answer. That made her realize all her studying outside of the academy payed off. Just then she started hearing Riku speak, the look on her face could only be described as annoyance. This kid copied her answers, and not in a very good way. She kept glaring at him while he spoke, thinking on different ways she could disturb him, throw a paper at him, use a fire jutsu to burn his hair, or use genjutsu to make him deaf. Making it pointless for him to be in this class. But apparently the teacher caught on to that. Anyhow, Asuka continued listening. "Anytime Kenshin Sensei!" She spoke with a bright smile on her face. "Love to HONESTLY, answer any questions you give me."

She did take a mental note about the parts she had gotten wrong, she loved class for that specific reason. Being corrected. Studying outside of class, coming to a class for that subject and being corrected if she has anything wrong. Now this is what life was about. Asuka smiled, finally Kenshin gave them their next task.

He took out a few stones and layed them in front of both his students, one each. He explained the task, and to be honest... it wasn't that hard. Being an Uchiha her unique bloodline pretty much required for her to pulsate chakra into her eyes to activate her Sharingan. It was a given and it came naturally to her, but she still wanted to see if she would be able to focus it on her forehead, not her eyes. Maybe it wasn't so different, but in the end she would have to try.

Asuka took the stone and placed it on her forehead, at first it was cold but it quickly warmed up and it didn't feel that bad. She closed her eyes and breathed in deeply, feeling her chakra move through her body as it was a river flow. A river flow she could control. She imagined creating a new pathway for the river. A pathway that lead from her forehead, of course she had to place obstacles so it didn't flow in large quantities. And that was what happened, she could feel her chakra flowing to the rock. In this instance she had succeded. Asuka opened her eyes, today was definetely a good day. A smile plastered on her face as she looked towards her teacher. "I can feel my Chakra in the correct place." She giggled, proud of herself. "I hope I did it right!"

Genjutsu needs you to focus chakra into your forehead. That thought confused Riku as he stared at his light blue rock. In curiosity he bit it before rubbing his jaw, it was a stone alright. He glanced at the class to the other student, she was already talking about succeeding. Was he just bad at this or did she just have the answer sheet somewhere?

“Fine,” Riku said, staring down his rock, “This’ll be easy.”

He considered the writing on the chalkboard with a touch of confusion, how the hell was he supposed to channel chakra into his forehead? The last teacher made him use chakra to walk on water, would he be able to float on the water by his nose at the end? He planted the rock on his forehead for a few moments, closing his eyes and grunting as he tried to channel chakra to his forehead. As he stood there feeling like an idiot, he started to consider if it was a bit like a chakra headbutt. To test the thesis, Riku held the stone to his forehead with both hands before trying to headbutt it with what he assumed was a feeling of chakra.

“Ouch …” Riku groaned, rubbing his forehead.

His rock was either a dud or broken, Riku knew it. He smacked the rock on the table with a few thuds to see if he could fix whatever was wrong with it. After a few good smacks, Riku glared down the rock again before placing it on his forehead to reinitiate the idiot stance, frequented among students everywhere. With a groan, he tried focusing his chakra on his forehead again. As he sat there for a few moments, his attention entirely on the rock and his forehead, he felt a faint feeling …

Riku headbutted the rock again.

“Stupid rock,” Riku lamented, “Curse you and the quarry you came from!”

In annoyance, Riku started whacking the rock on the table with a few loud thuds before biting down on it again. He wasn’t entirely sure what he intended to achieve, but beating the rock into the table was a decent stress relief, it might even fix it and it’s apparent brokenness. He gnawed on the rock for a few moments in annoyance before planting the rock on the table again.

“My rocks broken,” Riku declared, “I want a new one!”

Kenshin would watch the students. Asuka had little issue and soon the stone was glowing. Kenshin would nod towards her.

Riku, on the other hand was causing a scene as the other students were not even trying. Kesnhin would look at the lot of them.

Darasu and Sawada Hanako you are excused from class since you are not trying. Try again another time." Kenshin would say directly at the students who would leave momentarily. "As for you Riku, please do not bang the stones or gnaw them. We will use a... less slobbery stone this time. Here." Kenshin would replace Riku's stone with a new one. Kenshin would pick up one of his own.

"Place it to your head like this." Kenshin would demonstrate. "Now close your eyes and focus inward. Try to feel your chakra inside of you. We all have it. Now imagine your chakra is watter. You can control where it flow. For taijutsu we channel to fists. Focus that feeling of chakra to your forehead. You are in control and you can do this. Us the diagram. There is a natural way for the chakra to flow right there. Deep breath now. Nd another And another. Feel the chakra flow. Allow it to flow directly into the stone." Kenshin's own stone would glow a bright blue.

Kenshin would look over to Asuka.

"Since you appear to have some training in this, do you have any additional comments to help young Riku here? How did you learn such control?" Kenshin would ask as put the stone down from his forehead.

Asuka smiled once more she had done it. She felt a little bit bad for the other two students but if they were not going to pay attention to Kenshin then it was the right call to kick them out of the class. She just hoped nothing like that happened to her, it certainly seemed embarassing. She couldn't help but giggle once Riku's stone broke. At least he was trying and that's what mattered, she was sure she would get it eventually if he kept training with it. Maybe he would ask her to give him some pointers and if that happened she would.

Asuka looked at Kenshin, she did have to think about it for a little while before she stood up. "Well, I just think of my chakra system as a river." She started explaining, trying to remember what she had actually done... or more like... finding an explanation for it. "I close my eyes and picture it flow, then I try and open a canal to somewhere I want, letting it flow freely. Never trying to force it. What i find helpful is that, just open the obstacles and let the Chakra flow. Don't try to force it through your forehead." She sounded a bit laid back saying all this but it was what worked for her. Was it the same for everyone or did it depend on the person? "I hope my explanation was enough Kenshin-Sensei. And I learned it from all my teachers with plenty of training."

Riku stared down his new rock, listening to the instructions with a glazed over expression. He was supposed to make a river go into his forehead and it makes the rock glow. These people must be kidding. He gripped the rock in his hand, the two had made it glow by pouring chakra into it, it’s how it works. Riku gave a grin as he gripped the rock, he figured out how to do it.

“Alright, river … inner peace or something,” Riku said, gripping the rock, “Nice and easy!”

He placed the rock on his forehead, holding it in place with both his hands. He then closed his eyes and began to focus on the rock, now at this point, he suspected some of the students would’ve fallen for this river prank they’re setting up. Riku wasn’t having it. He may not of been able to channel chakra to his forehead, but he was able to channel it to his hands, he’d never of passed ninjutsu otherwise.

“Keep focused … keep focused.” Riku said in mantra, trying to play the act.

With that, Riku began channelling his chakra into the stone through his fingers, making sure to stutter the stream to make it appear as if he was struggling. He opened his eyes before giving a wide grin.

“Hey, look! I made it glow!” He said with a chuckle.

He placed the rock on the table with a slam, proud that he had done ‘what they asked’. He couldn’t believe he didn’t think of it sooner.

Kenshin would watch carefully. He would nod towards Asuka. Yes it was a good explanation. Kenshin would focus his attention to Riku. He would watch the stone glow but Kesnhin would notice something. In a flash his hand was around Riku's wrist that was holding stone.

"Did you know that when you channel chakra into certian parts of your body it causes a slight change to the blood flow in that area? When you channel into your hands, you can watch the pulse in the wrist." he rubbed his thumb against Riku's wrist "You will have to graduate first if you want to pull a fast one on me. A for Effort but that is not the purpose of the class. However you bring up an interesting topic. It is a philosophy of being a shinobi which you will all have to decide for yourself".

Kenshin would turn around and head to the front of the class again.

"Honesty is both a blessing and curse within our workforce. We shinobi must be honest when we can but we live on secrets and lies. Even our basic power like genjutsu is all about deception. For example, I am unique in the sense that I can cast genjutsu through my punches and physical contact. I deceive my enemies thinking that the only thing they need to worry about is surviving my punches. This is not the case as my genjutsu can do as I have said bind or ravage the eyes and mind. However in other aspects of my life as a shinobi I must be brutally honest. Teach all of you I must give you a realistic worldview. We are at peace but that may change at any moment. All it takes is one wrong move and you are in the middle of a war. When reporting to my superior, I must be honest. So knowing when to lie and when not to is an important shinobi skill. Lying to me here only decreases your chance of surviving out there when you are away form me and this place. I cannot be everywhere. Please think carefully the next time i ask you do something. I do not ask you to do things for fun. One day your life may be on the line and a genjutsu may be the only thing saving you from death. It has saved my life before and i hope it saves yours." Kenshin would relax his stance a little.

"Now, students, a more interesting challenge." Kenshin would pick up a few of the stones and begin juggiling them with one hand.

"Extend your chakra. Try to hit one of these stones with a genjutsu. If you don't know any genjutsu they still react to chakra. You will be successful when it lights up. First Asuka. Riku then you next. Begin when you are ready."

Asuka listened to his words closely, she wanted to ask him one detail about the Shinobi life, about the rules. But anyhow, first came the task. She wondered if it would be okay to cast a genjutsu with any means necessary, in this case she was going to. Work smart not hard it what she usually says. With a smile she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, once opened again the glow of the Sharingan replaced her usual eye color. She stared at one stone for a few seconds before casting her audial Genjutsu "deaf" on one of the stones in the air, her eyes never leaving it. Of course the stone shined, casting Genjutsu for her was quite easy thanks to her bloodline the only problem was that she needed to have a line of sight with the target, but in the needed it did proof useful. Once that was over she deactivated her sharingan and sighed.

"Sir." She started looking at her desk before taking the courage and looking back up. "They say a Shinobi that doesn't follow the rules is trash. But... I want to believe that isn't necesarilly true. I..." She stopped trying to find the correct words. "I don't want to believe that rules are absolute... I... I prefer failing a mission over losing someone I care about. But... I don't want to be called trash for it. What's the correct answer to that?"

Riku listened to the speech with a bored face, having lost interest once the mention of honesty began. His deceit had been caught out, so he needed to develop his skill in chakra more, prevent things like that from being noticed again. He returned from his thoughts to see the instructor attempting to make them focus chakra at range now. This seemed far more practical then rivers and foreheads, and thankfully, Riku knew some genjutsu. By the time he’d prepped to use the genjutsu, deaf, on the stone he had noticed the girl already completed it. With a smirk of satisfaction, he made the stone glow from range, relaxing back into his chair with satisfaction. It was easier focusing chakra on a goal that made sense anyway.

His attention turned towards the girl after his own success, she was going on about whether we were meant to follow rules always, what type of question was that? Riku had to grin at the concept, apparently these people had far different opinions on the world then himself.

“If you follow every rule that someone gives you,” Riku interrupted with a smirk, “It means you’re a puppet.”

Kenshin watched both students do this task with apparent ease. Good they knew a few things even if they could not vocalize it. What was interesting was that this was turning into an ethics class. That was not the point of the class. Still it was related in a way. Kenshin would listen to both students and look at both in turn. He was be silent for a minute carefully choosing his words.

"Rules are in place to try to protect the village. Here at the academy these rules are in place to protect yourself both now and in the future. What you learn here will be not only tested in future exams, it will be tested everyone time you are dealing with another shinobi. Sometimes that will be for your life. It is why I strive to while you are here to teach you as much as I can." Kenshin would pause here for a moment.

"However, Asuka you are right to a certain extent. Indeed being a shinobi is about serving the country you were raised in. Sometimes that is saving the life of your comrade over a certain mission. It may distress you or please you to know that if we were attacked right now I would give my life to defend this village, this Hokage, and you in a heatbeat. I would do so while taking out at many enemies as I could. This is my job and my passion to defend those who cannot and to protect leaf and the Hokage. And this is another part as to what it means to be a shinobi; to decide how it is best for you to serve your village. For some, that is the healing arts. For some ANBU espionage and assassination. For we of the main branch we keep the peace at home. We teach the next generation. We protect the Hokage. Regardless, your number one job as far as I am concerned is to live your truth for the betterment of others." Kenshin would again pause here.

"This is, however, not an ethics class. You two did well with this task. Now is something I try to do in each lesson. Do you have any direct questions for me about genjutsu or the mainbranch?" Kenshin would ask his eyes switching between the two of them.

Asuka smiled when Kenshin answered her question, he was right. It all came down to what you actually believed in. In this case she was glad Kenshin was who he was. It made her feel safe and gave her someone to look up to. Someone she could aspire to be. "Always liked the saying, friends before duty." She giggled looking at the time, oh god she was going to be late.

Asuka stood up from her seat and shaked her head. "Don't have any more questions Kenshin-sensei." She walked up to the front and bowed her head in respect to this great man. "Thank you very much for the class, I hope you can teach me more awesome stuff soon! Besides learning I quite enjoyed it. Especially with the stones." She bowed a bit lower. "Really sorry for leaving like this, got... someone important I have to meet. Again, thank you very much." She turned and started walking backwards towards the door, never leaving her bowed state, she opened and left closing it behind her. After that, she took on a sprint.

Riku had taken to constantly blinking his eyes, attempting to keep himself awake through the lecture. By the time it had finished, the girl had decided to rush out, why hadn’t he thought of that? He looked towards the teacher with a smile before looking about the room. He was the last one, and he also had some work he wanted to get done.

“Well,” Riku said, standing up, “It’s been a pleasure … whatever your name was!”

He gave a small bow before sprinting off towards the exit, throwing the door open and flying off to the academy entrance, his classes for the day over.
