Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

After years of studying "The Vulgar Variant of Ancient Kumogakurian", Arashi found herself at a stand still. She was fluent with the language, to the point where she could hold a perfectly normal conversation, but that wasn't enough. Through her studies, she learned there was two different variants to this language she obsessed over for so long. Up until this point, she had been spending her time practicing the Vulgar Variant, which was pretty much Ancient Kumogakurian slang in her opinion. Fortunately for her, this was hopefully about to change. Arashi figured this was the best thing she could do; ask the Raikage directly, as required by law, to learn "The Classical Variant of Ancient Kumogakurian".

Today's morning was anything but normal. The sun had never rose, dark clouds filled the air, a strong wind blew throughout the village, and the day seemed gloom to say the least. Regardless, Arashi was woke and ready, to go on about her business. Her father, even though it was a waste of time, was already out in the fields tending to the farm. Maybe he hoped to go ahead and clean things up a bit before things got out of hand? Arashi didn't know, but after breakfast with her mother, she washed her plate and went on with her day.

"To think today would be so gloomy." She thought, as she quickly made her way to the Raikage's tower. Just a mere ten feet before entering the building, all hell broke loose and it began to rain heavily. A little wet, she walked into the building and was immediately greeted by a receptionist, who informed her that if she wanted an audience with the Raikage, on such a short notice, she would have to wait patiently. Nodding, she waited for what seemed like a life time, but was truthfully only about two hours. But there she was, waiting patiently to be called before the Raikage.

Unfortunately, a bit like the doctors, people seemed to always need to be waiting for the Raikage. Especially when they hadn't booked an appointment. Though Akira didn't really mind, it wasn't something he was worried about, the only issue came if people themselves became bothered by it.

So finally, after ending one of his meetings, just when he thought he was free to go do some training, he was notified of the shinobi named Sairasu waiting to speak with him. Letting the receptionist know through their comms that he was ready to see her now, he wondered if he'd ever get out.

Still, work was work, and until it was done it'd linger.

She was shown up to his office and let in. Akira stood as she entered and looking at her his eye was then drawn to the weather. He hadn't noticed that it'd gotten this bad. Though she'd been waiting for a couple of hours by this point so at least she wasn't dripping anymore, if she had he would have offered her a towel.

Gesturing to a small group of chairs around a rather unusual looking black stone coffee table which had foreign carvings in it, he would take a seat as she did. The table had been one he'd purchased in Stone, in their under-city location which had many things which attracted Akira. He enjoyed the old stories they had in books and had bought several and donated those to the library so that Cloudies would have access to them, he had bought this table because it had carved into it a scene from one of these stories.

It was beautiful, and the style so completely different from what he was used to he couldn't help but purchase it. One of the down sides to it though was that it seemed to drain small amounts of chakra.

Good afternoon Sairasu. How can I be of service today?

Hours had indeed past since she first arrived, but that didn't detour her in the least bit. In fact, it had given her plenty of time to think about what she wanted to gain from this small request, as well as other minuscule things that just so happened to pop into her head. However, before she knew it, she was being escorted to the Raikage's office. Quietly, she walked in an orderly fashion and once she was there, she walked in without a moments hesitation. She didn't know the Raikage very well, or many shinobi within the village, but she felt comfortable around just about anyone.

The man before her; Akira Saito. He was a shinobi, a leader, a ruler, and many more things. Though, to her, he was plain ol "Akira Saito", her fellow shinobi and village comrade. He just happened to hold a position, far superior than anyone else within the village, and for everything he had done for the village, he had earned the respect that she was about to show. "Good afternoon to you as well, Raikage-Sama. And thank you for seeing me on such short notice." She stated, before quickly following up. "I mean no disrespect, but the name 'Sairasu' is associated with a douche bag. I'd prefer if you called me by my given name, Arashi. Though, ultimately it is up to you." Said Arashi, as kindly as she possibly could before having a seat and glancing around the room.

If Akira bothered to look, he'd see what seemed to be a small, but quick, jolt of lighting jumping about within her eyes. He could probably look into files about her, if he wanted, that would basically tell him everything about her; including the fact that she was a member of the Santaru Clan. Which could then also explain the peculiar weather today. "That tables weird....." She thought to herself, with somewhat of an odd feeling about it that made her hesitant to touch it. "Sooooo its not only ugly, but it's also weird...." She thought. It wasn't her taste in furniture, but then again, Arashi didn't give a crap about furniture. She cared more about learning and training, than she did really anything else.

It wasn't quite the manner of speaking that Akira was used to, but it didn't concern him that much either.

He nodded accepting her request as he replied.

Of course Arashi, my apologies.

He relaxed in his chair for a moment before he then asked the obvious question.

So what can I do to help? He assumed that there was a request for him involved somewhere for her to visit him, there usually was, and he was fairly busy.

[OOC: sorry for the short reply, didn't really know what else to do. I understand the reason for the delay.]

"Well, perhaps I should just cut to the chase and ask." She said, before stopping to think about what she was about to ask him. Learning the classic language was something special and unordinary, even for you're average everyday scholar within the village. For him to allow her to learn this language would be a blessing, and a curse. Just knowing this language was held within a high regard, so it wasn't permitted to just anyone and, she was "just someone". "Over the past decade, I have studied the vulgar variant of ancient kumo." She stated, before briefly stopping. By this point, the Raikage probably already knew exactly what she was about to ask. But that wasn't going to stop her from asking him./

"With my mastery over that variant, I have decided that it would be in my best interest to move forward and learn the classical variant." Again, she stated a fact without actually asking him the most important question. Maybe he was annoyed at this point, but once again after a brief moment, she began to speak. This time, actually answering his question and asking for his permission. "That being said, in order to learn the classical variant, I need you're permission. So.... May I have your permission to learn it and documentation stating that i'm allowed to learn the classical variant?"

And that was that. It would be up to the Raikage himself to decided what she would do next. Asking permission was never her thing. She'd rather ask for forgiveness, though this situation didn't allow for that. And if he said no, she'd probably try to weasel her away around the 'special requirements'. She'd probably find no luck in doing so, but she was going to try anyway. After all, the only other thing she had to do was go on missions, make money, and possibly instigate arguments between others.
