Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

[spoilername="Area Information"]The Palace of the Glorious Immortal<i></i>
h02LVhM.jpg

Home to the Daimyō and his family, the Palace is a grand structure with great statures erected in the Daimyō's honor. Heavily guarded by the Daimyō's private military force known as the Sovereign, guests are often allowed to visit or stay however there is a wing that is excluded from all tours and visitor's rights known as The Fire Wing. This would be the personal resting area of the Daimyō and his children, no outside guests are permitted.

Daimyō Ishii Shirō
Daimyō

Born into this position of power once held by his father, Daimyō Ishii Shirō is the third of his family's direct line to fill this seat. The position of Daimyō being a station of ultimate power and authority, it is often given to the eldest son of the former Daimyō except in a case where there is no heir apparent and the Daimyō is then determined by the previous Daimyō when his health begins to fail. Daimyō Ishii Shirō's grandfather Ishii Rao took over position of Daimyō fifty five years ago, the Soka family had held onto this position for nearly ten generations prior. He was willed the position much to the surprise and chagrin of his heir apparent, a woman named Soka Ai. Soka Ai was a well-loved darling of Sora, betrothed to Ishii Rao before she backed out the last minute. Some believe that the late Daimyō Soka Gon hoped that passing the mantle of power over to her former fiance would bring her back into his arms. Ai, however believed that her former husband to be falsified the will and was directly responsible for her father's death. There was never any proof of this matter, but considering all things it was a likely truth.

The present Daimyō Ishii Shirō is known to be a stern yet brilliant man. He has two sons, Ishii Shouki - a bastard he reared as a young man with a woman named Fuu who has been documented as a whore in history books and a legitimate son Ishii Susumu, heir apparent. His wife died during childbirth of their daughter Sango. Shouki, their oldest has always demonstrated great fighting skill as well as a reverence for the God that they all share and has spent his youth training his body and honing his skills to be the perfect killer. He is quite mad, but most men with his skill-set share this trait. His younger brother and heir apparent is considered to be the gentlest among them, a scholar more than a warrior he has spent his days locked away in the various libraries of the world learning all he can. He is presently located in Tea Country. The daughter, rather unloved for her part in the death of her mother has had a rather unfortunate life. Locked from public sight for the most part, some believe her to be deformed while others whisper the possibility of abuse. All that is known for certain is that the Daimyō plans to marry her off in the near future to solidify an alliance with possibly Otogakure.

Over the past few decades the Diamyo has been building a personal army capable of strange and terrible things. Little is truly known about the Sovereign just yet but it is said that his eldest son will be acting as the general.|

Ishii Shouki
Cabal Member
Sovereign General

Bastard son of the Diamyo and an Oracle named Fuu, he would never rule Wind Country despite his successes in battle. Favored in many ways by the Diamyo, Shouki had a noticeable blood-lust from early childhood that his father fostered over the years. He was raised primarily by his father, his mother was an academic and her part in the creation of this future monster was not her choice. A devout Jashinist, Shouki only grew in power as he brought glory to his god. He is the general of the Sovereign army but he is also a member of a treasure-seeking group called The Cabal. Their part in the incursion of Sunagakure might have been Akio's idea, but he was the one that ensured his father would 'support' their efforts. Many of the Cabal's activities over the past few years might have been the cabal's personal choice to be involved in, however many of those choices were strongly influenced by Shouki's father.

It is said that Shouki got his brilliant mind from his mother and his cruelty from his father.

Shouki has no known people that he particularly cares about besides a woman he rescued several years ago from a brothel. The relationship was purely physical between him and her of course, but there was a fleeting sense of sentiment. He would miss her scratches. How she pulled his hair. How she... Well, some things cannot be said in front of polite company. But he would miss all those things. His mother is simply a genetic donor as far as he is concerned, he has no respect for her but he also holds no disdain for the fact that she did not raise him. Her lifestyle and choices did not suit his very peculiar needs. His father has gained Shouki's begrudged respect, his half-brother and sister are actually a point of contention for Shouki as he considers himself the rightful heir to the Diamyo position.[/col]

Ishii Sango

Youngest child of Ishii Shirō, she killed her mother during childbirth making her a murderer the day she was born. Beautiful like her Hyuuga mother, she is often left locked away in the palace. A painful reminder of the one thing that made the Diamyo human. Engaged to a powerful shaman in Otogakure that she has not yet met, she awaits her fate with anticipation and fear. Her father and brother are both cruel, heartless men and the atrocities she has seen and suffered over the years plague her dreams. While she fears sharing a life with a man she has never met, she looks forward to escaping this hell.|
7QWdGZu.jpg

Ishii Susumu
Heir Apparent

First born legitimate son of the Diamyo. He is considered quiet and bookish in comparison to his better known, older sibling. Susumu has a distaste for battle and prefers the life of a scholar, complicit in the dealings of his father he has never intervened nor expressed any interest either way. Educated in the best schools, taught to fight by the greatest of masters; he is presently in Tea Country studying in their libraries. His ambitions are not yet known.[/col][/spoilername]

Music

The palace was a grand structure that could be seen from afar. Any question about whether or not they were traveling in the right direction could easily be subdued if they only looked ahead, in the distant haze it could be seen for miles. The building itself would be in excellent repair, the standard of the ruling family would flap proudly in the cool early morning breeze. There would be a shuffle of people, mostly merchants and the occasional guard traversing the curved threshold and the iron portcullis. The main entrance was flanked with a pair of guards wearing the drab regalia reminiscent of an era where perhaps swords play was a gentleman's sport. The air would have a distinct sweet scent of honeysuckle and peonies as well as the nearby salty sea. The crash of waves was too far away to hear but the mind sometimes plays tricks and the same soothing, rhythmic sound of crashing waves could be heard from even far away. The estate sat on a precipice overlooking these mighty waters, the shear cliffs to the back and harbor below.

There was no way that they could be completely certain that the girl was in here. They had no way of knowing who or what was waiting for them inside the walls of this fortress but it was safe to assume that there would be a militia-like force awaiting them inside this palace. Considerations would have to be made, there is only three of them and they would be up against a veritable army.

What to do?

The day was giving way to night as the small band approached their target. In the distance, with the moon beginning to rise behind its walls and towers, lay the fortress in which their target hid. As they'd projected, they'd arrived during the early evening of Wednesday. They would only have a few days to prepare before following through with their mission. Takeyashi would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous for his first mission in the lead, but there was a kind of excitement mixed into it all as well. This was an odd feeling, for sure. As the group approached the building from the west, Takeyashi signaled for them to pause and group up. When everyone was gathered, he began to speak. "I've been thinking about how we're going to do this on the way here, and I think I've got a pretty good plan for how the next few days are going to play out." Rummaging in his belt pouch, the young man pulled out a container with a few dozen small round pills in it. He opened up the container, and began counting out pills. "The way I figure, we're not going to have much time to rest. We're limited on time, and there's a lot of intelligence that we still need to get. Sleeping is going to be a luxury we can't afford for right now." Having counted them out properly, Takeyashi handed out a few pills to all of his teammates. "These are soldier pills. They're filled with stimulants and nutrients, and should keep us energized and alert for a few days. Once one wears off, you're going to need to take another in order to stay energized. Don't take them again until the effects have worn off, otherwise it's going to really mess with your chakra system."

They were a dangerous tool, to be sure. Soldier Pills could keep a shinobi fighting for three days and nights, but the effects afterwards could be disastrous. Takeyashi had thought this through, and if they all took the pills now they would have until Saturday evening until the effects wore off. If they could kidnap their target before then, and make their way out of there fast enough, they might be able to pull this off properly. They'd get even more time if they held off on eating the pills until later in the evening, when they were all sufficiently tired. Either way, they'd have to be careful with this. Looking to each of his teammates, Takeyashi would continue. "Furthermore, we're all going to need to be able to stay in constant communication throughout this mission. Alerting others to dangers or abnormalities that we find is crucial." And with that, Takeyashi pulled out a few headsets that he'd brought with him. He figured he might need to bring a few spares, just in case. After handing them out to everyone, he began to put his on. "Make sure you're set to the right frequency, and be careful when speaking. We don't want to reveal our presence at the wrong moment." Now that they had the basics down, he would wait for a moment before continuing into the actual team deployment. He'd been surveying the land a bit, and he had an idea of how he wanted this first night to play out.

"Alright, here's what I'm thinking. I'm going to take the eastern wall. I have quite a few stealth techniques, so getting there from the southern wall should be no problem. 'Watcher' you should inhabit one of your animals, probably the crow, and survey the courtyard inside the castle. We need to get a proper lay of the land, and see where we need to focus our attention on from here." He would check to see if 'Watcher' had any objections or questions before continuing. "Yuko, you should take 'Watcher's' body with you and survey the land to the north. It looks like there's more desert that way, so you'll have more material to work with. See if you can find out anything useful in the northwest tower." He was confident that Yuko had the skills necessary to infiltrate that section of the castle. Turning to Naoki, he began to give her instructions. "Naoki, I want you to survey the southern walls. See if you can find anything noteworthy about the southwest tower. It looks like it leads up a bit higher then the other towers, so perhaps it's a bedroom of sorts. Furthermore, you'll be close to me if anything happens — I can come back you up if necessary." Takeyashi knew how nervous Naoki was, and he wanted to make sure that she felt more secured in the mission. If she felt she had backup close by, perhaps she wouldn't feel as nervous? "Unless anyone has any questions, let's head out. We're burning time, and we need to get as much intel as we can. If you know any stealth-based techniques, I would recommend using them now."

Assuming everyone was good, Takeyashi would begin heading down to the southern wall. Indicating to Naoki to travel with him down that direction, the Spiderling would accompany her until they had to separate to their respective sections. Once they got close enough, he would perform a couple of jutsu to aid him in his sneaking. Firstly, the Concealed Steps Jutsu would allow his movements to become quiet and unheard, perfect for sneaking around unnoticed. Secondly, he would cast the Active Camo Jutsu, in order to mask his appearance with his surroundings. It wasn't a perfect concealment, as it would flicker and shift as he moved. However, if he stood still the technique should allow him to camouflage with his surroundings properly. Approaching the southeastern wall, the Spiderling began to crawl up onto the stone wall using all eight of his appendages — two legs and six arms. It was monstrous to look at, but hopefully no one would be seeing him anyways. That was the whole point, after all. He made his way east along the wall, until it bent to the north with the sea below him. He would survey as much as he could, while trying to remain undetected.

[ooc: Here's the rundown. Gave everyone soldier pills to keep them energized. Everyone should now have headsets to communicate. Suggested that: Watcher surveys K4, K10, and K13 as a crow; Yuko tries to survey K18, K17, and K16 from the northern wall; Naoki tries to survey K2 and K9 from the southern wall. Note, these are only suggestions, and each player can decide what they want to do. Takeyashi is surveying K11 and K12 from the eastern wall, and has Concealed Steps and Active Camo activated. Let's have some fun, everyone!]

The Hachiashi was right for time was of the essence and they would likely have to put off sleep for a will. Not too much of a problem for Hakuren considering her body goes into a sleep like state when she casts her possession jutsu normally. Though her body may feel rested when she returns, her body will be drained of chakra along the way. Fortunately her body has adapted to her constant possessions and replenishes her reserves to sustain the jutsu. However it is likely she will be using many jutsu in this mission along the way, so chakra is still an issue.

Takeyashi hand out a headset and a soldier pill to everyone in the group. Hakuren pockets the pill but does not take the headset with a shake of a head. She taps her mask which would cause him to hear someone entering the frequency of his headset. Her mask is a certified anbu mask which naturally comes with a build in headset.

Takeyashi orders her to possess the crow and survey the court yard and she agrees, but she will not do it in the way he expects. With what she has planned there will be no body for the Sunaku to guard. With a few hand seals her becomes far more mask detailed and her robes seems to become a part of her body. Her arm and leg shift into like that of an animals and the mask was clearly a face of a fox. Her robes transforms into lush black fur and her mask was now her actual face. Six tails from for out of her backside. Each tail contains a large some of chakra and they were used to sustain her current form, however she could sacrifice a tail to restore her chakra reserves. “Yuko, be a deer a keep an eye on the animals while I survey the courtyard.”

Hakuren then possess the crow, but in her current form it is not just her spirit that enters the bird, but her entire body. The possessed avian then takes to the skies and surveys the courtyard bellow. Not wanting to be noticed she casts an Active Camo jutsu to masks the sounds of her before coming down for a closer look. Hakuren will attempt to land on the roof of the building on the other side if she can reach it.

[OOC: Jutsu used: Name of the Rose rank 3 (Which last 6 rounds thanks to Element Aura), Body Mind Switch rank 1 with special action and Active Camo rank 1. Also what's our movement speed? I like to try to land on K9.]

Soldier pills... I hate these things. Yuko thought as they got closer and Spider-kun gave them out to everyone. He would wait to use them until absolutely necessary. He wasn't feeling tired yet and he hoped to not use them until absolutely necessary. he put them safely inside of his robes for now until the time came he needed to take them. He took the next thing being handed out and put it on his head, headsets. Yuko hadn't thought of bringing his from home. He didn't really know much about the mission so he came slightly unprepared unfortunately. Once they got close enough they started talking strategy and it seemed Spider-kun seemed to know how he wanted to go about it. It was smart and it didn't waste time so Yuko agreed. They definitely needed more information before they stormed the place, well maybe not stormed, but infiltrated and captured their target. The one named watched fused her body with the crow through a technique Yuko hadn't seen before. That didn't surprise the genin as there were many jutsu he didn't know still especially bloodlines or people with superior abilities. Yuko looked at her animals and said "ok... how about this? He flew through handsigns and created a cage of harden sand around the animals so they wouldn't run off on their own and all the Watcher had to do was contact him and he would release them. He put himself and the animals on a cloud of sand and moved toward the position Spider-kun and mentioned, keeping a safe distance away from the mansion and moving behind bigger sand piles to keep his presence unknown.

Once he got closer to the section he was suppose to be surveying, he would deactivate the sand clouds that he was riding and leave the animals in their cage hidden behind sand. Hopefully they knew well enough to keep quiet. He would move quickly but stealthily to the wall making sure no one was watching him when he moved. Instead of climbing up there himself and possibly getting caught he used the Crystal eye no jutsu {master rank} out of sand and moved it higher in elevation so he could see into the tower of coordinates K-18 through the window. Once he saw what was in there he would move the eye on the outside of the structure to K-17 to get a view through that vantage point, always keeping in mind of any guards that could be posted anywhere. He kept the volume on his headset low but still able to hear if any of the others had any chatter. Hopefully no guards would see his crystal eye or him as he hided near the structure using sand to cover his body so he couldn't be seen by the naked eye. There were positives in being able to use his Sand manipulation in anywhere in the desert. If anyone did see him or the eye, would have to be dealt with quickly. Hopefully though they would think it was just a mirage. And hopefully there weren't any Hyuuga Guards. If so... they were all screwed.

(OOC: used Crystal eye Master rank to view the castle indirectly and discretely. Using Sand Manipulation to create the cage for the animals and keep them hidden as well as for myself as I lay on the ground hiding beneath sand :D)

A small castle overlooks the mighty stretch of sea. A gatehouse and keep stand atop a low bluff, but the walls are built to the water’s edge. On the water's edge another low tower guards a boat basin where keelboats are moored. The keep seemed old but well cared for, new timbers and shingles suggest that repairs are continually being done. The front gate was closed.

The Eastern Wall:

The Eastern wall runs along the water's edge. A single chain dips into the rough grey waters preventing rogue boats from drifting off but there is no gate there preventing one from swimming inside if they chose. However, little is known about the aquatic life that lives in the great sea, while Wind Country is a large land space with much of its border on the waters many of the people here turn inward to the lands rather than outward to the unknown and dangerous sea. The spider's hands would grip the walls but it would not be without the aid of chakra or his sticky webbing to do so, the castle walls are for the most part flat, while small bits of natural stone just out ever so slightly, it is not enough to provide a stable hand hold. The first floor had a single barred window that was curtained off, the veil was not entirely opaque so he would see shadows of what might be there. High backed chairs, several of them. He would hear the clatter of what sounded like metal and porcelain as well as the humming chatter of those inside. It sounded like household banter, the usual social pleasantries of the day and nothing more. The second floor of this tower would appear deserted. Pale pink curtains would obscure his view, but there was a mild floral scent that seemed to waft from this space. The lights were out and the room was dark, the windows were barred. Above this was a flat area, pointed roof. The grey slate shingles would prove slick underfoot and threaten to slice his hand when he attempted to grab hold. As he peered around the side, where the wall pointed to the north he would see a keelboat moored, a long, heavy rusted chain lingering just beneath the river's surface. There was a light on in the ship, someone or a couple of someone's were in the cabin. There shadows made them appear larger than they actually were, their mugs enormous as they brought them to their bearded faces.

The Roof of K-9 (Bow Wow)

A globe of earth would surround the menagerie the ANBU had brought with her. Darkness would overtake the light the moon provided. The earths would churn and boil as a cloud of sand would lift Yuko from the ground and carry him off, but not before a wall of shifting earth was raised before him and he made his way around the castle.

The girl would take flight and on blackened wings she would fly up into the cold night. She would be waiting on the roof by the time the spider had climbed to the top. Perched on the edge of the shingled roof, the angle steep she would see the inside of the eastern wall and how it jutted out into the water, forming a good-sized basin that could hold a couple of keelboats, but at this time only one bobbed gently in the bay. There was a wide gap in the southeast wall that provided access to the sea, although it was blocked by a heavy chain. A twenty-foot tall bluff of rock and earth separated the landing and a nearby tower from which the rest of the castle grounds. To the north, a wide stream flowed out of a cave mouth into the boat basin. An heavy iron grate blocked access to the stream.

((OC: Before an Admin scolds me, I am going with the flight of a bird thing until told otherwise. I am not sure what the other jutsus are that were referenced here beyond Yamanaka things regarding the multi-tailed creature so me going with this has nothing to do with me consenting or otherwise but I am not going to delay the thread over a review that is irrelevant to the story because I want them to enjoy themselves here.))
((OC: As for movement speed, I would normally say 30 feet unless you use a dash action in place of your main action, have a ki point, etc. but since this is not a DnD just a "logical distance" I suppose))

Northeast Tower K 18 & 19

The man was one with the earth and he would not be seen, however the movement of earth would catch the eye of one of the guards. At first it would seem as if it was a trick of the mind, the darkness does that to a lot of people. Still, it was something that would get someone thinking, perhaps a bit paranoid when they are on watch in the dead of night. Armed with a rifle (yes, a rifle) a lanky young man who seemed a bit too tall considering his proportions and a wild mop of hair that took on an emo swoop as he brushed through the dark tresses with a gloved hand. He chewed on the fag clenched between his yellowed teeth and let out a grunt of annoyance as he spied the terrain in front of him.

The guard would not see the sandy globe that rolled and glided up to the first window. Barred but not so much that it would prevent entry as the eye wobbled past a pair of heavy curtains. It would see a plain dormitory featuring six bunk beds and a small wooden table and chairs, as well as two large laundry tubs and several baskets full of dirty clothes and linens. There would be three people inside, all of them awake and none of them would take notice of the glob of earth that had come to spy on them. Their hands appeared red and raw and they were scrubbing what appeared to be laundry. The door behind them was heavy and appeared to be reinforced with metallic bars. The trio was in rags, they appeared emaciated and unwell. (17)

Once the eye rolled away and entered the second room, Yuko little eye would spy... a kitchen. Two large hearths on the north wall of this room hold kettles full of simmering stew. Washbasins and worktables with old, battered crockery stand in the middle of the room. Sacks, casks, and barrels are piled along the southern wall, and cheeses and smoked fish hang from the ceiling. There would be four men and a woman working in here. They appeared to be in better condition than the other three in the next room. They appeared well nourished and healthy but they too wore rags, although if one could affix value or quality to the rags, these rags were nicer by far. There was no curtain here, rather they were parted to allow the moon to shine in and perhaps to relieve some of the heat being generated from the meal they were cooking. The bars did nothing to prevent the eye's curious gaze.

Surveying the fortress from this side, Takeyashi seemed to be getting some very promising leads. Two, in particular, caught his eye. The first was the room on the second floor of the tower, with pink curtains and a faint floral aroma wafting down from inside. They didn't know much about their target besides rumors and hearsay — it was very possible that this was her bedroom. It would make sense from a strategic standpoint: hide the girl you want to keep hidden as isolated from attack as possible, which in this case was most likely to come from land. Keeping Sango in the corner of the castle farthest from the most likely direction of danger and closest to an escape route via sea if need be made a lot of sense to the young man. He figured this would be a good place to start looking, hopefully being the correct room in which she would reside. The only problem, however, was getting in — the window was barred off, and the only other entrance was from within the castle itself.

Crawling up the side of the tower, aided by chakra, the spiderling reached one hand up to his headset. He knew that keeping the team updated about what each person was doing was incredibly important, so he intended to lead by example. Once he'd pressed down on the transmission button, the young man spoke quietly and clearly. "Mitsuyo reporting in. I have a possible lead on the target's location. Second floor, south-west tower. Over." Takeyashi had arrived at the edge of the window, assured that his team had been properly updated on his location. Now he just had to get a look inside without alerting anyone to his presence, which was much easier said than done. Fortunately, the young man had an idea. Positioning himself just below the window, the young man placed his finger on the edge of the stone wall's surface. From his one finger, a small wooden square peg no more than a few millimeters wide would emerge and burrow its way through the stone. His goal was to cut a very small hole in the wall, which would hopefully not disturbed anyone who might be inside. He needed only a small opening, just enough to slip a small deposit of sand material into. If the wooden peg got stuck on anything, Takeyashi would pore a little chakra into the cement around the hole being opened up — this would allow him to loosen the sand in the concrete material, hopefully permitting the peg to continue its forward thrust. Takeyashi wasn't nearly as skilled with the sand element as Yuko, but he had enough skill for it to come in handy.

Assuming his plan worked, and he'd managed to create a very small hole in the wall without disturbing anyone, the young man would proceed with the second part of his plan. Like Yuko, Takeyashi was a proponent of the Crystal Eye technique. Collecting a small amount of the sand from the wall around him, Takeyashi would coalesce the material together with some chakra to form a visual link with the floating eyeball. It was a handy technique, useful for peering around corners and into rooms you couldn't, physically, access yourself. Crushing the eyeball in his hand, the small orb was scattered into dust and directed by Takeyashi to flow into the room through the small hole he'd made. He would use the eyeball to peer into the room, and hopefully discover some more secrets as to the location of their Target, Sango. He just hoped he wasn't about to get caught with this little stunt.

The bird flies down from the tower into a bush bellow within the courtyard. Hakuren in her chakra form leaves the body of the pet and hides in the brush as he listens to a report from the group leader. At this point Hakuren was down to five tails and she could tell the transformation took a bit of chakra in itself. It was time to restore some of her chakra. She bits down one of her tail rips it from her body and devours the chakra it contained.

Hakuren looks towards the tower she was just perched on. If she recalled right that was the south-west tower. What few people realize is that Hakuren abilities are only the surface of a Yamanaka’s power. There are others in her family that are much more worthy of praise. Roku her brother uses his abilities to possess the very elements and making them into a golem, but he doesn’t change the elements appearance. The campfire remains a campfire and a rock remains a rock. Hakuren could never do that for if she possessed a golem it would have to take the shape of an animal. Fire into a phoenix and stone into a leopard; these were her attempts of mimicking Roku. Ai her sister doesn’t even target anything with her jutsu, she just expels her soul from her body and wanders about in spirit form. She uses the fact that a Yamanaka soul cannot instantly return to the body upon a missed attempt to her advantage. Hakuren does not have the courage to try this for she is afraid of not being able to come back and be forever lost in the ether.

With a heavy sigh she will have to face her fears and use her sister’s technique. Even in her chakra form if the jutsu fails to possess a target her soul is forced to wander before returning to its body. With no target Hakuren expels her soul from her body. She must admit it fell weird just being a wandering soul. However time was of the essence for soon her spirit will be drawn back to her body. Her incorporeal spirit walks throw the walls and she should be invisible to all. Her spirit floats upwards to the second floor. She looks around the room that Takeyashi thought was the targets room. She quickly looks around the darken room and hopes to spy what she is looking for. If does not do so it time she will find and an invisible force pull her out of the room and back to her body.

[Actions: Hides, Ends Body Mind Switch, Sacrifices a round of chakra armor to restore some chakra, recast Body Mind Switch with no target and wanders around in spirit form.]

Everyone inexplicably disappeared. Perhaps the primitive faceless shinobi fell off a roof or she was chasing her menagerie of critters as they had gotten themselves loose, but 'faceless' was nowhere to be seen. Samejima inexplicably wandered off, as did Yuko. Then there was only one. Mitsuyo would try to communicate with his allies but there would be airway silence, only the static noise of a headset seeking a signal. He was in no position to call out for them, he would give away his own location as he precariously hung from the side of the tower. His chakra creating an unseen but certainly felt seal between himself and the cold, uneven stone wall. He would press his finger against the stone wall, a small wooden peg would press against the stone but it would splinter rather than burrow through the solid stone. The gritty mortar would also pose substantial resistance, however the mortar would give way and a dull grating sound would be heard. It would seem louder to the Genin than it actually was, when seeking silence even the sounds of air entering and leaving one's lungs would seem advantageous.

His chakra would continue to push through the resilient adhesive. Eventually the drill would fail to dig any further, leaving merely a groove in the surface of the window ledge. It was not necessary to make it all the way through however, the windows were merely barred but he could smell the air from the living space. There was no glass parting him, only bars and a veil. The groove was enough to bypass the curtain without disturbing, but only barely as the curtain rested on the inner stony ledge. He deposited a sand material into this groove and with his ability to manipulate this element Takeyashi would manipulate the diminutive tendril of earth and a bobbing, rolling sandy eye would be forged with his chakra and his intent.

The eye would see a well-appointed room with a canopy bed and large mirrors. The carpets were thick and the linens luxurious, while the darkness did not allow him the ability to discern a palate it appeared to be something feminine. The brocade cloth and various embroidered decorative elements suggested a feminine resident. However, there were things that appeared out of place as well. A chest with the lid left ajar, inside appeared to be items more commonly found in a hardware store. The exact contents difficult to discern in the dark but the dull glimmer of metal gave away the edging of what appeared to be a chain neatly coiled into place. That would not be the only strange finding in this room of course, the floor had marks on it, these marks were for the most part covered up by the carpeting but the very fringe of something perhaps decorative but primitively drawn could be seen peering from the edge. Finally, on the nightstand there was a knife... because what girl does not go to bed without having a knife on her nightstand? The knife oddly enough was somewhat 'pretty' if some would think a knife embossed with a floral design on the blade and a leather grip with fuzzy trim was a normal bedroom item for a girl to have.

Of course, the room was occupied. In the center of the bed there was a sleeping woman, her identity difficult to discern with the limitations of the crystal eye but she had long dark hair and she was sleeping soundly. Her rhythmic respirations unaltered by the wandering curiosities of the eye.

Mitsuyo Takeyashi -- are you here?

It has been 7 days and you are the only one left. Last post by Yuko was Fri Oct 21, 2016 1:04 am so he has not posted in some time. Will give you a few more days before I close the thread due to lack of activity/interest.

[ooc: A thousand apologies for the tardiness of this post. Won't let it happen again.]

He was in. Or, rather, his eye was. The small sphere would be his scouting tool, allowing him to see everything he might need within. During this phase of the mission, he was more concerned with gathering enough information than he was with actually capturing his target. With this kind of mission, you could never be too careful in taking your time. You didn't want to rush in, and possibly screw up the whole thing. Slow, deliberate actions were the bread and butter of this sort of engagement. Staying firmly connected to the wall, facing away from any prying eyes or wandering gazes, the young man directed his constructed eye to move about the room. Sticking to the shadows and slinking from behind one object to another, he would slowly make his way around the room. The first thing he wanted to check on was the sleeping girl — if he could identify her as Sango, then this whole mission was almost over. He commanded his crystal eye to make its way towards the woman's face, which would hopefully be more visible, despite the darkness, if he got closer.

As he acted, a thought came into his mind. He hadn't heard any feedback from his teammates. He was concerned, but he couldn't give out another transmission or else he'd risk blowing his own cover. It had been several minutes now, and none of his teammates had responded to his earlier transmission. Had they been captured? Was he about to be found out? He didn't hear any alarms, which he assumed would have sounded if they'd been taken prisoner. For the moment, he'd have to assume that the mission was still underway and that his teammates were doing everything in their power to remain hidden or otherwise gather intelligence. Still, if he didn't get word from them soon he was going to have to proceed on his own. For now, he would just stick to gathering info.

After having checked to see if he could identify the woman in the room, the young man set to work with his eye uncovering the other parts of the room's mystery. The markings on the floor, he assumed, could potentially be markings for a Jashinist ritual. The knife, as well, was rather suspicious. Taking a closer look at both, the young man hoped that he would be able to gain more insight as to who it was sleeping in that bed and whether he was in for a struggle. The last item, in this room, that was bothering him was the chest. He could see the gleam of the metal chain from where he was, but was there anything else in the chest? Something distinctive, and identifiable. At this point, any information would be appreciated.

Finally, he shifted the eye's attention towards the door. Smushing it again into a stream of sand, the young shinobi directed the particles underneath the door frame. Reforming the eye on the other side of the door, the young man wanted to see who it was that was downstairs. As far as he could see, that door was the only true way in or out of this room. Before he tried to make his way in — assuming it really was Sango in their — he wanted to make sure that he wouldn't be disturbed by anyone else within the tower. Were there guards checking up on her every few minutes? Was it even Sango in that bed? He needed to get a sense of why, if there were people having normal conversations downstairs, this girl was by herself, sleeping, in a room with barred windows. The whole situation just felt wrong, almost as if she were a prisoner of sorts. The whole vibe seemed off the young man, almost as if this were a set-up. This is why he scouted before acting. He would be sure of himself before he even attempted to enter the room.

The bedroom, less those occasional oddities seemed rather ordinary. There was in fact a woman asleep in the bed, she appeared young, likely a teenager. She had pale skin and long dark tresses with a blunt bang. She was clutching a teddy bear and she appeared to be having a pleasant dream considering the expression on her face. She was talking in her sleep, however this jutsu sent a sandy eye, not a sandy ear to scout the area so whatever she muttered would be lost to him. Albeit, it was the ramblings of a slumbering person so unlikely important but to a scout you never know. Positive identification of his target would be impossible, she was not wearing a gaudy necklace that said SANGO in scrolling cursive out of wire nor was there a plaque over her bed that stated who she was and her present relationship with the Daimyo. There would be a closet in the room, the door was closed as well as a door leading into the hall. One was distinctively different from the other because there was a sliver of light that could be seen beneath the later to indicate that there was an illuminated space beyond.

What the eye saw beyond was a man, a single man sitting in a rather uncomfortable looking chair. He was whittling a small pierce of wood with a fine, short knife. It would appear that he was making a figurine of some sort, perhaps he would be a talented artist in another life but he did not appear to be much of an artist in this life. Atop his head was a fiery plume of hair and he had a series of piercing that lined his earlobe as well as a pair that pierced his cheeks. He was massive in size and the legs of the chair seemed to bow beneath his weight. His feet were propped up on a bannister and he seemed content to whittle for the time being. Perhaps this was guard duty, some guy sitting at the top of the stairs watching the door of a room. When he finished his project, it was a rough representation of the Kazekage he would lob it over the bannister and allow it to fall a story below. There were several others down there as well if the eye bobbed and rolled over to the very edge to see. That was his last block of wood and it would seem that the sentinel was not content to twiddle his thumbs, but he did so all the same... for a moment before he let out an obvious sigh and stood up from the chair. He was at least seven feet in height and there was a giant blade of approximately the same length resting against the wall.

He seemed frustrated. Perhaps even annoyed as he paced on the top step. This did not last for long as it would appear from the changing expression on his face that he had a revelation and with whatever thought he had in mind he would turn around and enter the girl's room. He tip-toed through the room with rather exaggerated movements and made his way to the chest in her room that he gingerly picked up but despite his greatest efforts there was still the sound of something shifting from within. The minor noise was like thunder crashing in comparison to the silence. The girl would seem to stir but she would not wake, rather toss in the bed. Her hand would slap at the nightstand and come upon the small bladed weapon and without looking she would fling it across the room. It would miss the man sneaking in and very quickly out of her room with the box in hand and rather sail out of the window, ripping not only through the curtain but nearly cutting into the unfortunate voyeur lurking just outside.

With enviable speed the sentinel would make his way back outside of the room, the large chest on his lap he would start to rifle through the contents.

"Mother Suna, that was close..." The young man muttered under his breath to himself, relieved that the knife had not buried itself into his skin as it was flung through the air. That wasn't some lucky shot, but was instead the mark of a trained knife thrower. While he hadn't been able to identifier her through just her features alone like he'd hoped, he'd certainly gotten some rather convincing evidence. What was more, the presence of the guard outside her door meant that she was rather important — normal people weren't guarded while they slept. All of the evidence seemed to point towards this sleeping girl being Sango. However, it wasn't enough for the young man to believe it was her. He had to know it. He would have to get a little craftier if he meant to prove it was her. That guard, however, posed a threat. It had just been demonstrated to the young man that the guard was capable of coming into the room at any time. He couldn't have him barging in at the wrong moment, only to find a shinobi standing over the girl he was guarding! The young spiderling would need a disguise. Fortunately, a rather fitting idea came to mind. Gathering his chakra, Takeyashi planned to use one of the most basic shinobi skills to his advantage — he would transform himself into a normal household spider. Small and not very noticeable, the little creature would scurry its way into the room without even pausing at the now redundant window bars. He would climb along the walls and then the ceiling, finally making his way over towards where the girl was sleeping. Now, to make sure of her identity.

Once he'd gotten close enough to the young girl, Spider-yashi would prepare another jutsu. The trickiest part about it, however, was casting his jutsu while maintaining his transformation. Spiders can't perform handseals, but by channelling his jutsu through the gloves he wielded he'd be able to use jutsus without the need of his hands. A thin, but very sharp, needle began to form in front of the little spider. It had been formed out of one of the many poisons the young man carried with him, Heaven's Touch. With this, he pricked the sleeping girl with the venomous needle, delivering the fast acting poison into her system immediately. She would soon stop moving, even making subconscious actions like her earlier knife throwing very difficult. He couldn't have this girl, who had obviously been trained in combat, reacting if she realized what it was he was about to do. Once he was sure the venom had properly taken effect on his victim, he moved to the final stages of his operation. A technique he'd learned that was used to extract information from enemies, Spider-yashi planned to use this technique to draw out the truth from this woman. He had to channel this technique, as well, through his weapon, but the result would be the same. Soon, he would be able to prove, definitively, whether she was his target. With the technique active, Spider-yashi spoke quietly to the sleeping woman. "Quietly now, tell me your name. Tell me why there's a guard at your door." He figured that the effects of the jutsu would be strong enough to procure answers from this girl, even if she was deep in sleep. This was a technique used by the ANBU to extract information from their targets — a little girl shouldn't be able to withstand the influences of this technique.

As for the guard outside, Spider-yashi was always on guard to see if he would enter the room again. Thankfully, if he did, all he'd have to do is scurry slightly out of sight. It wasn't like a little spider was going to draw any attention. He'd stopped casting his Crystal Eye jutsu a little while ago, as he didn't really need to know what was inside of that chest. He didn't care about what the guard had been interested in, so long as the girl that laid before him was the target he'd been assigned to kidnap. Nothing else mattered right now. And so, Spider-yashi would wait for the girl's answers, or potentially lack thereof. It was possible she was too deep into sleep for his questions, at which point he'd need to wake her up and try again. He hoped he wouldn't need to find a way to wake her up without her making noise — that sounded like an entirely more difficult problem altogether.

[edit: Due to technicalities in the way Transformation works with non-humans, I had to specify that my techniques were being done without the use of handseals.]

The itsy bitsy spider crept in between the bars, its weapons either spider sized, a part of the transformation or still full sized and the burden of the tiny arachnid that did scurry across the cool stone floor. It made its way to the canopy bed. The linens thick and heavy underfoot as the spider ascended what would be like a mountain to Takeyashi. Victorious atop this domestic plateau the spider's journey would continue over the rolling hills of linens that sometimes shifted with the movements of a lethargic giant just beneath. Eventually he would find his way to the precipice and gaze down on the sleeping titan beneath. Passively equipped with gloves that somehow bypassed the need to make handseals, Takeyashi drew his chakra into his hands and a small needle-like appendage shot forth. The needle barely more than a hair's breadth was imbued with a toxic substance that thinly coated the projectile's surface. The senbon pierced her skin and a slight pallor would overcome her. She did not rouse but rather remained asleep in her nice, soft bed

"Quietly now, tell me your name. Tell me why there's a guard at your door."

A surge of pain would be felt in her head as a gentle voice invaded her dreams. Groggy and bleary-eyed she would sit upright in her bed, the pain waking her from her drug-induced slumber. "Sango," she replied to nobody in particular as she looked about the room. The poison was still a heavy burden, she felt drunk and heavy but the pounding pain within the confines of her skull had roused her. The room was unlit less the faint glow from her window through fragile curtains that left a streak of light on her floor. Shadows loomed, large and long shading the linens, baubles and tapestries. It was then that her eyes spied something missing. Her chest was gone.

"AAaaaaaaiiiiiiieeeee!"<i></i>

She let out a terrible sound, you would have thought she saw a weapon-wielding spider in her bed. She did not, but she did notice a missing chest in her room. 'Shouki!" She shouted with a shrill voice and clenched fist as she tossed her covers aside, likely also flinging Spider-Yashi across the room unless he latched onto something for safety. She was a young girl. likely late teens and early twenties with long dark hair and pearly white eyes. If she was a prisoner, she was in excellent condition and well cared for considering her satin nightclothes and luxurious bedding. Her bare feet slapped the stony floor as she yanked the door outside of her room open and bright, blinding light spilled in.

THIS IS MINE!" She whined as she stormed out the door and the heavy wooden door closed behind her.. There would be the sounds of rustling and the clank of metal, if the spider had somehow followed her he would see the young girl attempting to rip the box from the giant's hands.

"Good morning sunshine," the massive red-head would reply with a smirk but he would not relinquish his grip on the box. The girls fingers curled around the edges of the box and she gave it a yank, grunting with exertion. "Pretty sure this is mine," Shouki taunted as he lifted the box over her head with the girl still attached. Her feet left the floor. "This box is not something for a wittle princess," his condescending words followed by a low chuckle.

"Give it back, it is miiine!" She let go of the box and her feet hit the floor. "I am telling dad!" She threatened as she attempted to march past him.

He slid his arm in her path. "Uh... Uh... Ha!" He sang as he pushed her back. She would simply try to duck beneath and march on past but he would grab her by the collar and drag her backwards up the three stairs she had descended with a single outstretched arm. "I weaken all men for hours each day. I show you strange visions while you are away. I take you by night, by day take you back. None suffer to have me, but do from my lack." She screamed and clawed at his arm but he did not seem to care or even notice as his second hand wrapped around her neck as he pulled the girl closer. His face came uncomfortably close to hers as he stared into her eyes. "Sleep. I can make you sleep the easy way or the hard way you pompous little spoiled bitch." He growled as he relinquished his grip and she gasped for air on the ground.

If any of this was seen by the spider, it would matter not as the door was opened by the guard. His massive looming shadow would momentarily blanket the room as he appeared to be prepared to kick the girl back into the room but then thought better of it and simply pushed her inside before he slammed the door behind her. Her precious chest tossed in behind her. The clattered and the lid fell open and some of the contents spilled onto the floor. It was not filled with the various oddities a young girl would collect. Heavy fetters, chains, a long iron poker, among a variety of other curiosities.

Through the door you could hear the man complaining on the other side. "Leave no bruises, how un-Jashin. She is not some delicate angel and would be better with a bit of wear. Wedding cannot come fast enough, tired of this babysitting job."

The girl was muttering to herself something unintelligible as she sorted through the contents of her chest, having a tantrum for herself as she flung what had spilled out back inside. "I HATE YOU!" She shouted through the door as she slammed the lid closed and dragged the box to its intended corner of her room. "Stop ruining my life!" She stomped her feet on the ground and threw herself onto her bed. She screamed twice into her pillow in frustration before she rolled over and glared at the ceiling. "I am bored Shouki. I HATE YOU AND I AM BORED!"

She would receive no answer, it would appear that her guard was rather content listening to her tantrum. He was whistling an off-key rendition of camptown races.

Spider-yashi let out a soft gasp when the woman revealed her name. Sango. Her physical profile met the description they were given, her name matched up, and she had a guard outside of her room. There was no more doubt in the young man's mind. This was his target. His little inwardly celebration would have to wait for a moment, however, as the young girl seemed to be waking up from her comatose. While the young man would have assumed that she would have felt a bit of the pain from the needle piercing her skin, he had expected the poison he'd administered to her to prevent this sort of movement. As she tossed her covers off of her, however, it became very clear to the itsy bitsy ninja spider that that wasn't the case. He hung onto the covers for dear life as the sheets of fabric were launched off of the bed and onto the floor — it was a bumpy ride, but he'd survive. Paying attention to the words being spoken just out in the hallway, the young man collected himself and began to re-navigate through the room. Now that he'd properly identified his target, he needed to get a move on capturing her. A few ideas were beginning to take shape in his mind, but he still needed to see what would happen within the next few minutes.

As the speaking and shouting continued, Spider-yashi positioned himself behind the bed-frame. Just enough out of sight to not be noticeable, but he'd still get a front row view of the events that were to play out. As the door opened up and the young girl was thrown inside along with the mysterious chest, Spider-yashi awaited his moment with deadly patience. Watching the tantrum from the girl erupt as the door was closed, Spider-yashi knew that this was the moment he'd been waiting for. He'd been tossing ideas around in his head about how he'd go about with the kidnapping, and he knew he'd have to settle on something. The problem was, none of the plans he'd had up until now seemed like they'd work. Normally, you could just knock out a target and carry them with you — Sango, however, was a Jashinist. She was trained in combat, and wouldn't be overcome with force so easily. Barring brute force, poison was the next best method. And yet, she seemed to have shown a strong resilience to his poisons. It was entirely possible that she'd been trained to resist such poisons, which would make his job infinitely more difficult. To make things worse, he wouldn't be able to know if she was immune to his standard poisons until he tried administering them to her again. Only this time, she wasn't asleep. He would only get one shot, and if she was indeed immune then his cover could be blown instantly. If he was going to gamble on this idea, he wanted to be tip the odds into his favor as much as possible.

To be able to resist a poison, you have to build up a tolerance to it. To do that, you need to be exposed to it often. It was entirely possible that Sango had been exposed to the standard types of poisons before, and had thus gained an immunity. However, Spider-yashi had another secret poison up his sleeve — poison made using the spider mucus his kekkei genkai allowed him to produce. Due to its rarity, there was a very low chance that the girl would have any sort of immunity to it. If Spider-yashi could just land a hit using his venom, it was fair to say that this mission would be over. He was out of options at this point, so he would have to put all of his faith into this little trick working out.

He waited until Sango had turned her back to him — he wanted to do everything in his power to assure that this plan would work out. Like he'd done before, Spider-yashi channeled his chakra through the gloves that he wielded, as he was unable to make normal handseals in this form. Using the venom he was able to produce naturally through his spider mucus, the young man would form the toxin into a long and thin needle designed for the delivery of toxins into the victim's body. He just needed a hit, and the poison would do the rest for him — Spider-yashi's poison had the unique effect of causing some severe hallucinations. An odd chemical compound, this poison would have the effect of inducing a rather odd state for anyone whom it affected. Visions and colors, shapes moving in their field of view, and a rather deep sense of wonder would render almost any victim almost completely immobile. Easy to influence, and easy to manipulate, people who were affected by this toxin were almost as good as asleep. Spider-yashi's plan was to wait for poison to affect Sango, which should only take a few moments for the poison to begin spreading through her bloodstream, then knock her out and escape with her. Hopefully she would be quiet through out the whole process, but just in case the young man was prepared to undo his transformation and silence her if needed. If she started making any signs of noise while the poison was spreading, she'd soon find a ball of cloth shoved into her mouth to silence her cries. He didn't want the guard to come and rescue her, after all.

She did not see him coming as she screamed Shouki's name into a pillow, announcing again her hatred of her guardian. On the other side of the door the shadows revealed through that thin sliver of light that the guardian has not left, he continued to whistle camptown races. His indifference simply another source of annoyance for the young heiress. A thin needle-like thread of poison pierced her in the back of the neck. Even if the poison had a hallucinogenic effect coupled with the detriment to one's health, it certainly did not render one unconscious or incapacitated. She would feel a searing pain at the point of insertion and reach behind her to withdraw the thin needle that had embedded itself into her flesh. She felt woozy, everything was blurry but she would see flashes of color and the shadow of shapes. She raised her hand to her forehead, her skin felt cool. "I do not feel so good..."[/b] Sango complained.

"Heh, I was not born yesterday. I know all about the shiv," Shouki called back.

"Not a shiv!" Sango whined as she saw something white and fluffy hop into her frame of vision. A pair of tall fuzzy ears sat on top of a white furry head with a pair of large blue eyes. The rabbit was standing on its hind legs and was wearing a bowtie with a rather obnoxiously colored red and yellow waistcoat and dress shirt. That, however, was not the most curious thing about this sight, rather it was the monocle he was wearing the the paws that were more like human hands with opposable thumbs that held a pocket watch that seemed almost comical in size considering the anthropomorphic rabbit being smaller than a hobbit still. "What are you doing sending midgets dressed up into my bedroom again!" She accused after the curiosity of the sight ceased. Yes, again.
Spider-yashi would only see a young girl having a conversation with her pillow.

"Midgets? The hell you babbling about," Shouki replied as a tapping sound was heard only once.

"You're late," the unseen or heard rabbit announced to its only audience.

"For what?" Sango would reply, being the only thing that Takeyashi would hear.

"A very important date!"

"I need to get Shouki. Shouki!" She would yell loud enough to rouse anyone who might have turned in.

"No time to say hello or good-bye. You're late! You're late!"

"Shouki!" She repeated in an even shriller voice. "Get your freaky friend out of my room or I am telling dad!"

There was a disgruntled sound on the other side of that door. The knob would rattle before it would turn and with a single inward swinging motion the door would open and light would fill the room. He would see Sango on her hands and knees in the middle of the bed, with an accusing glare at one of her frilly decorative pillows. She would reach under another one of her pillows and recover a small blade that appeared similar to the one she launched out of her room not long ago. She let out a scream and started to violently stab the pillow in front of her. "This is what I think of your weird midget friends Shouki!" Feathers flew in every direction, but she did not see feather but rather blood. She did not hear the tearing of fabric but rather the unfortunate imaginary rabbit's screams and she murdered him in cold blood.

"You lost it," Shouki laughed. "Not sure how a freak like you is gonna keep a guy like Kageoni happy, maybe he likes the crazy broads." He approached the bed, he was armed with his giant weapon. He would lean over the infuriated girl and whisper something into her ear. "You break it when you name it, what am I?" She swatted at Shouki, her hand leaving a welt on the side of his face in the shape of her hand. Her other invested in a more dangerous attack as she attempted to plunge her short blade into his gut. He caught her wrist before her attack broke his flesh. There was no tenderness in his words as he gave her the answer, "Silence." He forced her hand around and caused the girl to stab herself in the leg. She let out a howl of pain and started to cry. "Stop breaking it you spoiled little bitch," he snarled as he backhanded her hard enough to knock her clear across the room. He did not bother picking her up from where she landed, rather he turned around in a huff and returned to his chair just outside the door. This time the door was left open a crack but he was more interested in the titty magazine he had brought with him.

Pro: Sango is now unconscious and incapacitated.
Con: She is pretty injured.

There were also additional considerations such as the fact that her windows were barred and the door, now open was guarded. Even unconscious and incapacitated, the real puzzle was getting her out.

If he decided to stop her conversation or tantrum, be it with an attempt to subdue her or otherwise, simply state where and what could be here might end up differently. However, it would appear that Shouki did some of your work for you.

It seemed that Takeyashi's plan had gone pretty well. He'd hoped to not involve the guard again, but things had seemed to work out for the best. While Spider-yashi waited patiently behind the bed frame, the guard had managed to incapacitate Sango perfectly for him. The spider merely waited until the guard had gone back outside, and then began the final stages of the mission. He still didn't know what had happened to his other teammates, but the mission's success demanded that he proceed anyways. When the dust had settled for a moment, Spider-yashi knew it was finally time to act. Dispelling his transformation, the young man was mere feet away from his target. Takeyashi had positioned himself just behind the door, so his presence shouldn't be detected by the guard. The only thing he had to do before he could escape would be to stop the bleeding on Sango's leg. He didn't want her bleeding out on him and dying.

He would use the mucus that he naturally made using his chakra to bind the wound together. Like the old practice of using super strong adhesives to bind together a wound, Takeyashi used his spider mucus to hold the wound together. Quietly spreading enough of the mucus directly into the wound to stop the bleeding, Takeyashi should have been able to stop the bleeding without making a sound. And now that he was sure his target wasn't about to die on him, Takeyashi formed what he thought would be his last handseals of the mission: in one fell swoop, the young shinobi had transformed himself and the unconscious girl into a small crow. The crow was small enough to fit through the bars of the window, which would make his escape all the easier. He didn't even bother to conceal his sounds now, because he'd already be out the window and well away from the castle before the guard realized what had just happened.

Stretching his avian wings, Takeyashi took off from the floor towards the window perch. Landing on the ledge, then walking through the bars, Takeyashi jumped off the ledge and took to the skies. He took off to the south, away from the castle and yet not towards the village either. He didn't want them connecting any dots, after all. As he flew, the young man tried to spy if any of his comrades were still around — he knew they would be fine, but he still worried for them. They may have to make their way back on their own, despite the danger. The mission had to be completed, whether or not Takeyashi had to do it alone.

And Takeyashi kidnapped the Daimyo's daughter. He would not hear the bells the next warning. He would not hear the commotion being caused by her guardian who allowed her to escape. The overturned bed. The trunk ripped apart. The linens strewn across the room. The closet door ripped off its hinges. Sango would remain unconscious for the next three hours, no more and no less. It would not be enough time to make it back to Sunagakure, but it would appear that he was almost done.
