Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Character's Mental Description:
Akujin seeks attention and, learning from his childhood, will often cause havoc or agony to others in order to obtain it. That’s not to say that he would, for example, commit a serious crime, more so he might sabotage a friendship or romantic interest with the idea that negative attention is better. This does not cloud his mind when it comes to work, however. He is a perfectionist and strives to outshine his peers in most opportunities that he gets. He has a general distrust for authority, but respects those who are stronger than him as long as that gap is maintained. He’ll hold a grudge and usually won’t settle it without a fight.

Multiple Personality Application: N/A

Character History:
~Prologue~

Amakusa Ryuu ro Kaminari is sure to be the next shogun. It’s clear as day, really. An army that size? Better start proclaiming your allegiances now. It’s said that he’s a good man who pays his men good money. Though, whether that was true or just a rumor spread by amorous members of his private army are neither here nor there. In any case, it was a rumor that passed through the delicate ears of Asame Kiki. But that’s not why she wanted to spend so much time with him. It was love. His name was Suji Otoko. He was a general in Amakusa’s army and he was perfect. He would frequently come and go as his work kept him stationed some hours away. Every moment they spent apart, sweet Kiki pined over her lover. A few months after they had met, something wonderful happened. She was with child. She couldn’t wait to inform Otoko of the great news, but she kept it to herself so that she could surprise him with her belly.

Soon enough, Otoko returned to see his love and was indeed quite surprised by the sight of her no longer petite midsection. Kiki cried as she exclaimed with joy about the wondrous future they would have as a happy family. She quickly quieted herself when she saw that her love was not sharing in her jubilee. With a stern face, Otoko informed Kiki that his time here was done and he was returning home. After all, he had a wife and children that were eagerly awaiting his return.

Desperate, Kiki tried to track him down by asking any passing soldier about her lost lover, but no one that passed through had ever heard of a general by the name of Suji Otoko. Her friends told her that they had heard of salacious ronin that traveled about preying on pretty young women. They had decided amongst themselves that this was what must have happened. Kiki was devastated. Her family did not yet know about her affair and the baby growing inside of her, but if they found out, they would surely shame her. She cursed the name of Suji Otoko and it made her even angrier because she didn’t truly even know the name of the man who had used her. He only ran away because he didn’t want to be a father. It was this child’s fault. She cursed the child inside of her. A demon that ended her love. She only needed to be rid of it and then her love would come back. She procured poisons that would rid her body of this foul thing but they did not work. Again she tried but nothing had happened. She began to feel ill herself; this was not fair! She did not deserve the cruel punishment of this demon.

It was not long after that the child was born. Kiki refused to hold her newborn child. When asked what the name of the babe would be, she answered flatly, “Akujin.”
~Childhood~
A few years later, Akujin’s mother had fallen into step with a new man. Imora Kabu. He was a farmer by trade and did well enough for himself. Kabu had a son the age of Akujin by the name of Bito. His wife had passed away the previous year. Bito was, of course, treated much better than Akujin as were the several siblings that came from the pairing of Kabu and Kiki. Kiki was given the name Imora by her marriage to Kabu, but Akujin was not as well received into the new family. No, instead he was given the name Hourou, wanderer, for his father, a wandering loser. The years drug on with little anything remarkable happening, until one day, when Akujin was around the age of 12 years and was being struck upon the face by the more favored brother, Bito. In a reckless attempt to escape, Akujin made dove into the kitchen. His hands quickly found a knife and, shaking it violently at Bito, he began to hear a voice. It was faint. “Fight.” Bito approached slowly. “Fight back.” The son of Kabu, displayed his tapioca pearls of teeth, his eyes something of true darkness. Akujin wasn’t going to do anything. Bito practically owned him. His hand reached out to take the knife from his weak brother. “FIGHT!” The voice that was so faint before had begun screaming so loudly that his mind began to tremble. Afraid and unsure of what to do, he let the voice guide his action and he thrust forward with all the force his small frame could muster.

Darkness.

Akujin awoke, dazed. His head hurt. His everything hurt, but his head really hurt. He was lying on the kitchen floor. He tried to slowly pick himself up and his chest was met with a heavy foot. The air rushed from his lungs and his eyes started to bulge from their sockets. The owner of the foot was his step father, Kabu. Kabu had watched the whole event from start to finish and had intervened with a swift punch to the face. The knife missed Bito completely. He would not allow Akujin to hurt his perfect child. Akujin was hurled across the room before being thrown through the doorway. He was even less welcome here than before.

Akujin lay in the dirt, blood on his face for what felt like forever. He thought of how if he had been stronger, he would have killed Kabu. He would have kicked around Bito, and shamed his mother for letting these people treat him so poorly. But he was not strong. He was weak. He didn’t even draw blood from his accursed brother. He would have to put that behind him, at least for now. He needed a place to sleep and to eat. He wandered towards town, hoping for something better. He found a shelter for wayward youth.

It only took four months of getting the crap kicked out of him before he started learning to fight back. The other kids were in all different shapes, sizes, and ages, but they all fought each other just the same. They would do it at night, when the headmaster was asleep. The older boys who were supposed to police the younger ones had instead organized a makeshift fight club for the younglings and would place bets on who would win. One night, after the usual beatings and bets had finished and everyone was asleep, shadowy figures appeared, seemingly from nowhere. Several of the boys, Akujin included, were gagged, blindfolded, and bound. They were violently thrown onto what felt like a wagon before some kind of thick covering was placed on top of them. None of them seem to remember what happened after that, but they all awoke in newish beds the following morning. Where were they?
~Kamgakure Shinobi Academy; Age 13-14~
There were rumors circulating that children from all over Kamgakure were disappearing and no one was quite sure where they had gone. There theories were bountiful, sex traffic, child labor, prisoners of the molemen. There was even a conspiracy that the Kamagakure Government was abducting the children to use as experiments and/or future soldiers. Most citizens subscribed to the theory of molemen. The demand for exterminators skyrocketed as parents became more frightful.

Coincidentally, several children with no memory of how they had arrived there found themselves in the dormitories of the Kamgakure Shinobi Academy. Perhaps the molemen were hiding them there. Whatever the case, this is where young Hourou Akujin found himself to be. And he would continue finding himself to be here for an undisclosed amount of time totally not against his will. While here, he learned the principles of the shinobi life. The morals with which all lawful ninja hold themselves to. There was some other stuff too, but honestly, who remembers grade school?
~Growing as a Genin; Age 14-16~
Proving himself to have at least some small amount of competence, Akujin was awarded the official shinobi title of Genin. Akujin spent two years as a Genin ninja and during this time, he was put on a team with two other Genin. Their names were Mitsuya Combi and Kamaki Mochi. Akujin straggled behind them a lot. They weren’t particularly great ninjas, Akujin was just even less great. Concerned that one of his fledgling genin might not cut it in the real shinobi world, the much older shinobi assigned to Akujin’s squad spent some time with him in an attempt to uncover potentially useful information in regards to training. Nothing of note came up until Aku told the story of when he almost murdered his brother. Hearing voices? Doing what they told him to do? Kumo has enough of that going on already and certainly didn’t need anymore. The civil war had just ended so Cloud wasn’t hurting for bodies anymore. However, just for kicks, the wiser shinobi decided to test the young genin’s potential. He unsheathed his sword and tossed it to him. Told him he had to do something pretty bad ass if he didn’t wanna get the boot. And something bad ass, he did, in fact, do.

As soon as Akujin picked up that sword, his demeanor completely changed. He looked wiser, more experienced. He didn’t speak, but his actions spoke volumes. He took his stance and faced his teacher. Quizzically, the older shinobi arched an eyebrow and slowly unsheathed a second sword. He motioned for the boy to advance and the boy complied. The boy dodged blows with quick rolls and parried his teachers weaker strikes. He moved clumsily, like the flesh struggled to follow the mind. The two exchanged a few more blows before the teacher called an end to the bout. Beginning to have an understanding of what might be going on, he sent Akujin away to a colleague for tests to be run.

The results were bittersweet. Akujin had some fancy blood in him that connected him to his ancestors, a long line of samurai who, through the very blood that they share with him, could speak to him, guide his path and at times, his body. This could prove to be a tremendous gift and advantage that could assist young Akujin in his quest for strength. But, this blood that linked him to his ancestors also linked him to a father that had given him his cursed childhood. He was a bastard and most of the ancestors that could communicate with him refused, their pride not to be lost on a spawn without a proper name. There were some, though, that were glad to help the young one. Some of them, too, had been scorned as bastards, and through Akujin, they could seek some small revenge.

With the help of his teacher, his team, and his few estranged ancestors, Hourou Akujin advanced himself to the level of Chunin.

~Looking into the Past, Chunin; Age:16-20~
Kumogakure was in an unwell place. The great hero Takaki Masao had traded his life to bring the ongoing turmoil of the Kingslayers to an end. His death brought a confliction of sadness and rejoice. Fortunately, the village of clouds was no stranger to the unexpected death of a hero or leader. As the feelings of uncertainty revolving around the Kingslayers departed the minds and hearts of the citizens of Kumo, they were quickly replaced with apprehension regarding the influx of Water citizens and stone shinobi. Some people claimed to have lost jobs on account of the new residents being willing to work for lower wages, but overall this was not a common experience. Many of the water citizens were forced to live in less than reputable areas as the government of Kumogakure could only afford to give so much assistance.

As time progressed, Akujin’s ability as a swordsman grew. Occasionally aided by the few ancestral spirits that would talk to him, the path of progress was quick and impressive. He continued to perform missions with his Genin teammates, Mitsuya and Kamaki, but now they were mostly unsupervised. When not performing official duties, Akujin was rarely with his teammates, instead choosing to keep the company of the old inhabitants of Mist. His upbringing had been in a home without much money so he could relate to the financial situation Kumo’s newest occupants.

During his time as a Chunin, Akujin began making attempts to discover the identity of his biological father. Through meditation and the gifts of his blood, he was able to interact with his ancestors and, although they were not very eager to speak to bastard son, did inform him that they were unaware of who his father was. Perhaps he was also a bastard or maybe even that there were no relatives close in relation to Akujin’s father that were deceased. Whatever the case was, he was going to need more help on his search. The available military records were also not much assistance without any real names to use. He decided to pay a visit to his dear sweet mother Kiki.

He hadn’t been to the farm in five years. Originally he had plans to come back and kick the snot out of his step father and brother, but as he grew older, his attentions were drawn elsewhere. He knocked on the door and was greeted by his awful step brother Bito. “Uhh, are you here for my dad, Kabu?” “No,” Akujin replied sternly, “I’m here to speak to his wife, Kiki.” The ugly mug of Bito twisted and contorted as he stared at Akujin. This was his thinking face. “Do I know you, dude? You look real familiar.” He was beginning to get annoyed but did his best not to let it show. He didn’t come here for confrontation although he was starting to wonder if it would be an impossible task to avoid it all together. “That’s because I am. Now, please, tell Kiki she has-” “Aw shit! It’s Akujin! Haha, DAD! AKUJIN IS BACK!” The door slammed in Aku’s face. His eyebrow twitched.

The door reopened. “You ain’t welcome round here, boy. Now go-on-get fore you find yourself on the ground again.” Kabu cracked his knuckles to punctualize the end of his promise. The shinobi are taught to practice self control and to step away from overwhelming emotions that could cloud the judgement. Luckily, Akujin wasn’t wearing his work clothes. “I ain’t here to see no dirty turnip farmers. I’m here to ask Kiki some questions. She can come out here or I can go in there.” His hand slapped into place on the scabbard of his katana, copying the dramatic effect of physical punctualization. Kabu replied, unfaltered, “WELLLL NOW, You think you can buy a sword and tell people to do whatever you want? Yer mother don’t wanna see your sorry hide. Now be smart and LEAVE!” His arm extended towards Akujin, pointer finger fulfilling its vocation aimed in the general direction of his estranged step-son’s forehead. There was a quick flash of steel and Akujin was roughly two meters further back than he originally was. The sword clicked back into place. Kabu’s face showed confusion and then, amusement. “HAH! Ya cant even use that thing, can you?!” Before the second utterance of laughter could be expelled from his ugly lungs, the pointer finger of Imora Kabu fell from his hand. The cut was so clean, it would have impressed the finest surgeons of Kumogakure. Kabu’s face again shifted to confusion and then, horror. Before he could wrap his mind around what had happened, his stomach was met with a swift kick. He doubled over, arms clutching his midsection but his face was caught in the hand of Akujin. “Where is Kiki? I’ll take a finger for any answer from you that I don’t like.” “D-d-dead! She’s dead! I swear it! S-she got sick a year ago and died! She’s buried at the cemetary down the road! Please, don’t hurt me!” It didn’t feel as good hurting the man who beat on him as a child now that there was such a difference in their strength. “Better not be lying, old man. I’ll be back for more fingers if you are.” Kabu rushed quickly into his home and shut the door. Akujin could see Bito staring, dumbstruck at what had just occurred. A short trip to the cemetery confirmed what the turnip farmer had told him. Another dead end.

Putting his goal of vengeance on the backburner for a while, Akujin returned his focus to his training. Through more meditation he was able to communicate with a distant relative that was willing to inhabit his sword. Initially uneasy about the relationship, Akujin was promised that the sword would be much stronger than any old blade he could find. The relationship was forged and the soul of his untraceable ancestor, Nanjirou Sukato now resided in his blade. With hard training and the help of Sukato, Akujin was able to pass all of the requirements for advancing to the next level, Jounin.

You don't actually pick abilities right now, nor do they get exchanged during OCR. They something you have to pick in your dojo once your OCR is complete and require a 100wc roleplay each to activate :) (but no yen bought thankfully)

After Kagetsu Yuii brought some history discrepancies to my attention, I made a few small changes.

As time progressed, Akujin’s ability as a swordsman grew. Occasionally aided by the few ancestral spirits that would talk to him, the path of progress was quick and impressive. He continued to perform missions with his Genin teammates, Mitsuya and Kamaki, but now they were mostly unsupervised. When not performing official duties, Akujin was rarely with his teammates, instead choosing to keep the company of the inhabitants of the less-than-reputable neighborhoods.

With hard training and the help of Sukato, Akujin would be able to pass all of the requirements for advancing to the next level, Jounin.

As you can see, they don't quite match up. Mastery points are the bigger issue since you have no extra ASP from anything so you're going to have to lose 18 points worth. For the jutsu costs I can just remove the extra yen needed if you're good with that :)

My apologies, I misunderstood the conversion of points and stat distribution. Someone on discord was kind enough to explain it to me. So, if my new understanding is correct, the following is my updated jutsu list and stats. (I was trying to pour stats into the jutsu mastery, before.)

: Cost: (1x450yen=450)
transformation

D: Cost: (5x1200yen=6000) Mastery points: (3x8= 24)
Cross Rip*

Spirit Lantern*
combination transformation

C: Cost: (4x3250yen=13000) Mastery points: (3x10=30)
Blade Trai*
Shadow Dance
Explosive Touch*
Blast Wave*

B: Cost: (2x7500yen=15000) Mastery points: (2x12=24)
Atomic Blast*
Volatile Fireworks*

A: Cost: (2x12500yen=25000) Mastery points: (2x15=30)
Zantetsuken*
Devastating Aura*

*Signifies Jutsu is Mastered
the difference was taking away mastery for shadow dance(10pts) and shadow play(8pts)
and, since i mistaking put points from stats into those jutsu, my stats should reflect as being 18 points higher as follows:

stats:
PL: 2052
Agility: 340+2=342
Stamina: 340
Ninjutsu: 340
Genjutsu: 340
Taijutsu: 340+10=350
Chakra Control: 334+6=340
OOC Rank: A

Sorry for the mistakes I keep making! I hope I got it right this time!
