Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Basic Information
Name: Inuzuka Naoya
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 170lbs
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Rank: Jounin
Description: Naoya has short, spiky brown-black hair and amber brown eyes. After leaving Leaf City, he stopped wearing his headband and wore bandages on his face instead. For clothing, he stuck to a black shirt under a blue coat with fur lining the hood, black pants and black shoes. His teeth are pointed like those of his companion, a light brown-orange bear named Kasui. He wears face paint on his cheeks like the rest of the Inuzuka clan and has claws rather than average human nails.
History: Age 11, Naoya started to learn the ninja arts. He'd been born into a long-existing Inuzuka clan rooted in the fire country. As a student in Leaf City, he was exposed to all kinds of different jutsu, but he was horrible at using Genjutsu, and typically didn't see through many of them either. On another downside, he wasn't the best at Ninjutsu either. His jutsu would work, but they weren't as powerful as they could be. As the boy grew older, his fingernails became what looked like claws, and most of his Taijutsu would leave an opponent with cuts where they were hit. Gradually, these became stronger and more useful, along with his unnaturally lengthy teeth. No one made fun of him for these features, but he didn't really understand why he was that way. The day that Naoya graduated and became a Genin, he was overwhelmed by the congratulations and all of the people around him, so he took a walk in a patch of woods just outside of the city. He took a short nap under a tree, with patches of sun warming his face through the leaves. When he woke up, there was a small, light brown colored bear cub staring him in the face with its eyes wide. Naoya shot up, and the bear jumped back about as fast as one the boy could blink. When he looked around, he didn't see any other cubs, or any bears at all for that matter. He felt safe, and going home was all he really had left to do. The entire way back to the city, the tiny bear cub followed him, sneaking from tree to tree as if it wouldn't be noticed. Finally Naoya stopped and waited for it to approach him. 'It must be alone..' Something in the look it gave him confirmed his thoughts. 'Couldn't hurt to take care of it..at least for a little while.' Spreading his arms wide, the cub almost immediately jumped up into them and nuzzled Naoya's chin. "I'll call you Kasui, eh?" He carried that cub home, and it didn't leave his side.

Age 15, Naoya and Kasui were absolutely inseparable, and were the perfect team for the city to send on jobs. Their ability to communicate was beyond what Naoya could have with any person. Since taking Kasui home, he distanced from the rest of his family; most members of the Inuzuka clan make such a bond with a canine companion, but Naoya was different. His was with a bear. While in their home playing together, the two bumped into almost everything possible. At one point, Naoya thought that he was going to hit a wall, but instead he went through it. Wood and dust scattered across the floor, and the boy sat on the ground in a room he had never been in before. There was a shrine in it, with candles scattered around. Symbols made from something the color of blood were on the floor, walls, and various books and scrolls throughout. When he read into some of the books in the room, Naoya learned about Jashin. A God that acknowledged aggression, bloodshed, and complete chaos at every opportunity. Rituals performed with blood to worship Jashin, and the effects they had on the participants. At first, he was disgusted, thinking of the fact that he was standing in blood. Then, he was in complete awe at the idea that his parents were a part of such a faith, in all of its cruelty. Sensing his confusion, Kasui stood close to him for comfort. Naoya managed to get as much reading as he could to try reassuring himself that there was something good that came from Jashinism, something they could have been getting from it to help others, rather than hurt them. However, he found something different- better, even. With such intense faith, those that follow Jashin are said to be granted immortality, able to withstand mortal injuries and conquer any that may face them. Thinking of the limitations he faced with jutsu other than his Taijutsu, the boy considered immortality heavily as both a good and bad thing, but in the end the desire to live took control of his opinion. The moment his parents returned home, he explained the hole in the wall, and expressed his desire to become a part of the cult that they'd involved themselves with. It didn't take long for them to accept his request, and start teaching him the ways of Jashinism. Soon he would have to prepare for his Chuunin exam.

Age 16, Naoya was sent into the woods for his Chuunin exam. He had Kasui with him, who had grown to be fairly sized standing next to him, and even bigger on two legs. The exam was a mission, to track down and recover various rogues in the woods, and bring them back to the city. The rogue shinobi would be strong, so the idea was that only someone at the Chuunin level would be able to capture them. The target assigned to Naoya and Kasui was a female, who was skilled with projectile weapons. They were given her old headband, and used the scent to find her general location. Once they had her, Naoya used his Beast Clone technique to transform Kasui into a clone of himself. They positioned themselves on either side of a tent they had narrowed her down to. With a signal, they simultaneously used their Gatsuuga, tearing into each side. Stopping themselves on the ground, Kasui was quick to evade a giant shuriken thrown from a nearby tree. Within the tent, she had left some of her clothes to throw off anyone hunting her. 'Kasui!' With a look, from Naoya, the two were back on the offensive. They used their Gatsuuga multiple more times, only managing to make small hits on her, as she did with them. After long enough, both parties were exhausted. Kasui was unable to get back up and fight, so Naoya stood in front of him to protect him. The rogue woman pulled out a scroll to summon more weapons, or use a jutsu, and Naoya would be unable to drag Kasui out of harms way in his current state. He remembered his training with his parents, the couple short weeks of learning the basics of Jashinism.

Naoya learned everything from his mother. She had been practicing Jashinism since she was young, and introduced his father to the religion when they began their relationship. "Naoya, the basic necessity when you worship Jashin, is to pray. All of the rituals we perform are backed by prayer, and true devotion to our God's will. I'll teach you some of the prayers, then we can move into rituals." She took a necklace with a symbol pendant from her neck and handed it over the the boy. For a member of a chaotic cult, she was pretty understanding when introducing her son to everything. He had to assure her that he was fully faithful to Jashin, and that he did want bloodshed. She told him that she wouldn't continue to teach him unless he proved that he was worthy of Jashin's blessings. Those blessings wouldn't be given out to just anyone, only those that could prove themselves. In the time he had between then and his exam, Naoya spent almost all of it studying the religion and memorizing the prayers he'd been taught.

Looking at the woman, he could tell this was her last chance effort to take him down. He had a few sprained spots, a broken rib, and he was exhausted beyond anything he'd ever experienced. As prepared to release her sealed weapons, Naoya gripped his pendant and said a prayer to Jashin, asking for strength. When the barrage of weapons was released, Naoya grabbed his companion, and got the two out of harm's way. He'd felt a surge of blood and energy, and all the physical ailments that had effected him before were gone. The rogue was on the ground gasping for air, while waving a hand up for surrender. At this point, Naoya had no interest in capturing her. He'd experienced his God's blessing, and he didn't plan on being a disappointment. He pulled out his small, retractable spear, and took the woman's life. Immediately after, he prayed to Jashin; the kill was for his God, a sacrifice of sorts. After disposing of the body, he returned to the city with Kasui across his back. He told his proctor that her body was lost in an explosion, but they had managed to defeat her. The fact that the two returned alive was enough to prove to them that he was worthy of his new rank. The killing didn't stop then, however. Naoya left the city on various rampages, taking life after life for the sake of Jashin. The blessing he received was more than worth the price, and his parents were especially proud of his actions. Kasui was cooperative no matter what, because their bond was always going to be the most important thing.

Age 18, Naoya was sent on a mission to assassinate another rogue that proved to be a threat to the city. There were no catches, just to kill the target without drawing more attention to the city. He was happy to oblige, with the reward of being promoted to Jounin if he returned successful. Kasui was large enough that Naoya could ride on his back, and the two were more powerful than ever. The two tracked him down to the river, and engaged him on the side next to the water. The battle raged, as he countered their Taijutsu with Wind Ninjutsu. They used a barrage of quick attacks until finally Naoya was able to cut into the man's skin himself. The enemy's blood was on the boy's finger, and at this point Kasui knew to run off to the side until he was needed again. With a quick prayer, Naoya ingested the blood. "You're mine now." From all of his kills, he had received multiple blessings from the dark lord himself, and acquired a new curse to use on his enemies. Using his own blood, he created a giant symbol of Jashinism to stand in, and started stabbing himself in his arms and legs. With feelings of joy and power rushing through him, he watched his victim fall. The curse he used had linked the two, so whatever damage Naoya did to himself was done to his enemy, although Jashin's blessings made Naoya capable of taking each blow. Thrusting the spear into his own chest, he finished the man off. After dumping it into the river, he returned to the city with his bear to receive his promotion. The killing wouldn't end there. Naoya planned to take his faith above and beyond what he had seen and experienced.

Age 19, the bond between the boy and his bear started to crumble as he made plans to go against his city. Naoya left Leaf City in search of thrill and excitement, and was forced to leave Kasui in Fire Country for his own safety.

Bloodline: Inuzuka
It is said that the Inuzuka are descendants from from canine themselves in ages long past, though this may simply be a legend sprouted within the clan's days as nomads. The Inuzuka is a clan originating in the Land of Fire, dating back before the formation of any shinobi villages as a nomadic clan that lived in the wilderness together with their canine companions. Though some of the more primitive like qualities and habitats of the clan have been substituted for a more humane lifestyle, the clan itself has never separated, or even weakened it's bonds with their canine kin, and view their canine's as family members, even as close as siblings rather than simple pets. Few possess such strong attachment and loyalty that can compare to the bond of an Inuzuka and their counterpart, and fewer still can stand to this perfect combination in battle.

Canine Companion - Passive
Perhaps the most distinguishable aspect of the Inuzuka clan is the fact that they seem to have an unbreakable bond with a companion that is far more than your average pet. Their companion is is bonded so close to the Inuzuka, and the Inuzuka to it that the two could be said to be two halves of a whole, or even share a soul. Whichever the case, the Inuzuka and their pet are inseparable, and can perfectly understand and communicate with each other even through the most complex words/barks, to the simplest body gestures..

---

Loyalty to the Pack - Passive
There is little stronger than the kinship felt between a canine and it's pack, and so too does this apply to the incredibly deep loyalty an Inuzuka feel's with their companions. During time's of danger, the Inuzuka are prone to experiencing incredible surges of adrenaline that seem to give them super-human capabilities for a short moment, enough to protect harm from befalling their companion.

Rank 1: If their pet takes damage equal to 30% of it's max Hp during a round, the Inuzuka gains +1 Secondaries for a full round. If the Inuzuka takes damage equal to 30% of their max Hp during a round, the pet gains +1 Secondaries for a full round.

---

Wolf Visage - Passive
Just as their canine companion seems to be far more than your average pet, seeming to possess human-level intelligence, so too does the Inuzuka seem to lean towards a more Animalistic instinct, possessing razor sharp claws in place of frail nails, and sharp canine teeth, as well as a more beast-like personality.

Air Dynamic Marking - Pet Jutsu
Though both the Inuzuka and their companion possess a sharpen sense of smell, this creative technique seems to take advantage of their sense by the canine spraying and "Marking" a target with urine, allowing them to track them far more clearly than even by sight. The Urine itself, however, possesses a slightly acidic quality that can sting on contact, but even so it is an amusing to witness a canine perform this technique. How they manage such a feat in the middle of an acrobatic maneuver is unknown to even those with shinobi dexterity, however.

Rank 1: Urinates upon a unfortunate target, dealing 250 Damage.
Rank 2: Urinates upon a unfortunate target, dealing 500 Damage.
