Re: Invitation, Insurrection, Investigation and Other Words that Start with "In" [Requesting Katsuo, Kotori, Takashi's N
The outcome from one half of the duo wasn't entirely surprising. He would nod to the female as she wished to excuse herself. She was young, this game was hard, it did not surprise him if she didn't have the stomach or the energy for it right now. Who it should worry, would be the land she was an ambassador for. Whoever she ultimately was, she seemed to be in a spot that her country was grooming her for something more and right now she just did not seem prepared. Maybe in time, and hopefully this experience would provide her with some growth.
He would then turn his eyes to the other representative of leaf who requested the missing boy. Even though Katsuo reaffirmed what he had stated earlier, he felt the need to once more state it.
"Boy never made it past me. Broke a bunch of his bones attempting it and scampered off into the desert. If he is still alive, then that is probably more credit than I would give him."
He would shrug. Ultimately he'd be interested in knowing how Ikari would view those comments. Would he be concerned about the boy's safety, would he be displeased that he got away and was still on the run, would he ultimately not care because there was a higher chance the boy would die on his own out in the wilderness. Whatever went through the mind of the Leaf rep, it would be of interest to him as he was trying to draw a better idea of who they were working with. That said, however, it really didn't matter. The boy was not the primary reason for this chat.
"Exploring the land... surviving the land is probably more appropriate. If you happen to find him out there, he is all yours to take back."
Kid is probably in Cloud by now. The little idiot.
With the attendant to the Kazekage going after Kotori and Katsuo himself pushing the agenda back to the Lunar Festival, he would return to being quiet and just observing. If a time appeared for him to make another move, he would take it. Until then, this wasn't his show.
