Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Okibi watched from the shelter of the village gate as the Diamond Maelstrom stormed its way through the far south. The traveling storm was a good distance away from the gate at the moment, which proved perfect for what Okibi wanted to do. She held a small paper lantern in one of her hands, and a candle in the other - the pink prosthetic that Sousuke had put together for her a few weeks ago. She looked down and brought the candle up to her nose for a sniff. Strands of stark white hair escaped the loose braid that Chiyoko had put it into - that scenario had been rather tense and painful for Okibi. Chiyoko had never touched her, but the fear that she might accidentally brush her back had nearly put Okibi into tears. But shed wanted her hair back and out of her face, and she didnt know how to braid hair, so she'd braved her way through it.

Perhaps, slowly, she was getting better . . . but there was something she had to do before she could really begin healing.

She had to say goodbye.

The scent of the candle - that of rain and trees and grass and sun - imitated though it was, brought red tinted tears to the edges of her eyes. It reminded her of Seven. He'd raised her in the wild, and so it was the scent of the wild that best suited his memory. When she'd walked by the candle store just a few days prior, her nose had immediately zeroed in on the lone candle sitting behind some of its more fragrant and eye pleasing cousins. It wasnt very large, only a few inches tall and about an inch around, and its color was considerably unpleasing to look at; a mixture of browns and greens that looked something like mossy mud. But to Okibi it was beautiful, and it would play a part in the only way she knew how to say goodbye to her lifelong partner and friend . . . for the first, and last time.

Okibi brought the candle and held it against her chest as she looked back out into the distance, waiting. She wanted to get things under way, but she wasnt about to go out there alone. Even though she only planned to climb to the top of Barnyx's skull, she was much too cowardly still to risk it. The last time she'd left the village . . . she hadnt returned for more than a year, and she'd lost her other half. So she waited for a friend, her best friend, to meet her. She'd sent him a request with the details about where and when to meet her, and she only hoped he would be willing to accompany her outside on her heavy hearted task.

It had been a dreary couple of weeks, but somehow they had not managed to give into despair.

The sound of old metal chains clinking into gears and lifting heavy iron rang throughout the cave in the wee hours of the morning. A dim moon hung up in the cavern sky, and its pale light was just as fitting for the mood.
The blond was wearing an actual suit despite the oddity of it; or at least on a color scale. He was known for wearing the occasional get up when he was going shopping or meeting with a rare acquaintance, but for the most part he strode about in a tee-shirt, pants, sandals, and a beat up old lab coat. Today he wore a black sweater vest over a grey long-sleeve button down shirt. His legs were equipped with black colored cloth slacks and his feet covered with actual leather colored the same. Over his shoulders that covered up most of his body was a large black trench coat that had a hood on the back to protect his flesh from the wind outside should the need arise. His hands were covered in dark cloth gloves to complete his dark assemble of mourning. The only piece of clothing that was a different color scale all together was the blue bow-tie that laced around his neck. It was done with a large silk ribbon that hung down limply towards his sweater vest with two strands stretching just a little further down.

Tama’s index and thumb were using a bit of his vest to clean a lens of his glasses as he thought about the good old companion they were saying goodbye to. He couldn’t even come close to the sadness that Okibi would be holding in her heart for this, but saying goodbye was a hard thing for him as well.
He enjoyed the company of the large canine and his opinions on the surrounding world that the scientist had a great respect for. He was also responsible for helping Tama get through his dark times along with the previously purple haired kunoichi and meant as just as much to him as she did. It was nearly impossible to think of the Wild Child without her faithful friend.

The elevator came to a sudden stop that jarred the blonde from his thoughts. The rusty metal door opened up to reveal the large shelf of rock that lead up to the wrought-iron gates that had defended the cave dwellers from the harsh realities outside. Carefully Tama stepped out of the box and made a quiet approach to the girl with shock-white hair holding onto a little box and a candle.
His feet stopped beside her and looked up at the gate as he raised a gentle hand up to touch her left shoulder to let Okibi know he had arrived.
The scientist had gotten a lot better about not touching her while coming up behind her. He had learned that it was best to let her peripherals catch the sight of his golden locks, that were now starting to grow away from his head ever so slowly, before reaching out to catch her attention physically. It hurt him a little to see his best friend come to this but he, also understood so well that she still needed a lot of time to heal.
It wasn’t too long ago that he had been in the same sort of condition where his mind would often block out the world around him and any touch or sound that came from another person spooked him. After his mother died all he could do for nearly two weeks was sit in center of his lab/home and stare off into the darkness with only the blackest of thoughts going through his head. Even after Okibi had discovered him after a month of sequestering himself he had continued to do this.

Eventually she broke him of it, and eventually he would help her regain at least a piece of her lost self; he at least owed her and Seven that much for saving his soul.
I’m ready when you are,”

Okibi smelled him before she saw him; male musk, chemicals and genius, as well as an underlying scent that was all his own. It was a comforting smell that offered her solace in the storm of her raging emotions. She jumped only slightly when one of his large hands landed gently on her shoulder, and she fought the instinctive urges to shy away from his touch. Even after the few months that'd passed since she'd been back, and although her body was well on its way to a full recovery, it was still hard to stomach any sort of touch from a human. Animals and machines she could handle, and do a degree women she was familiar with, but the touch of men still made her cringe internally. But she had to fight those urges because if she never got over her fears, then she would never get better. And more than anything, she wanted to get better.

And so, with a courage that she had to delve down deep for, Okibi moved the paper lantern to her right hand and brought her left one - the one made of flesh and blood - up to cover the warmth of Tama's hand with her chilled palm. She squeezed it softly with shaking affection and then brought it down from her shoulder, holding on for just a moment before letting go. She knew Tama would understand; as much as she would have liked to hold onto his hand for support, she just couldn't handle touching him for that long, even though he'd come to be someone of great importance to her. That she had managed holding his hand for even that long was a feat in itself.

She looked at him then, turning towards him to take in his attire. She started with his head; his golden hair was really starting to gain some length (she wondered if he planned on cutting it?). His clothes were different than what she was used to, not the run of the mill pants and shirts he usually wore under his ratty old lab coat, but a well put together ensemble of finely tailored garments. The only bit of color he wore, the bow tie at his neck, caught her attention. Her mouth almost curved up into a smile at the sight of it.

"You look nice Tami." She complimented softly. There was a smile in her voice and in her eyes, even if it didnt show on the rest of her face. She'd decided to dress up just a bit as well, wearing a loose fitting long sleeved dress the color of wine with black leggings under it. She still wasnt confident enough to wear clothes that showed her scars, and besides which, at this time of the night/morning the desert could be unbearably cold. Despite this, however, her feet were still bare.

Without another word, Okibi started towards the large gates that protected the entrance to their village with a resolution in her step. As they neared it, one of the guards worked a device that opened the wrought iron sentinels and it eased open just enough for them to get through. Okibi slipped out first and waited for Tama to join her before continuing on, trekking around the great girth of Barnyx's skull. She made her way towards its back, where its spine met sand. The sloped edges of the bone might prove a little difficult for her to climb, but she would get to the top if it was the last thing she did. She focused what little chakra she had into her feet and left hand, and slowly started to make her way up the bones of the deceased sand worm.

At one point, she slipped, losing control of her chakra. She'd caught herself only because of the hold her left hand had on one of the joints in the worms spine. Before Tama could help her, and she knew he was going to try, she forced herself up and resumed climbing, her measly chakra stores back under control.

By the time she made it to the top she was thoroughly winded and her stores were completely depleted. She was going to have to get back down later the hard way. Okibi took deep breaths and gradually caught her breath; then she walked to the edge of the skull and looked up at the dark sky. It was still very early in the morning - the sun wouldnt be rising for a few hours yet - and because the maelstrom was so far off right now they had a perfect view of the stars in the sky. They danced, and twinkled, beckoning her to release the lantern she had in her hands, as though they wanted to welcome Seven into their midst. Would Seven become a star up there if she did this she wondered. Probably not, but it was a nice thought.

Looking down at her hands, Okibi turned the lantern over and placed the candle in its metal wire holster. She then reached into the pocket of her dress and pulled out a lighter she'd borrowed from Judori. She lit the candle with her shaking left hand - it shook because of both the cold and the emotions in her chest. Once the wick was lit, Okibi put the lighter away and just held the lantern for a minute, letting it fill with hot air.

"You were my friend and my protector; my brother and my father; my guiding light when I didnt know which way to go. My heart will always ache with your loss, and I will never forget you. May you rest in peace. Said Okibi, using the language she'd been raised on, that of the beasts. The words came out in quiet growls and yips that Tama wouldnt be able to understand, but that was ok. What she said was for Seven and Seven alone.

"I will miss you my friend . . ." She finished, reverting to human speech. Okibi then waited for Tama in case he wanted to say anything for her departed pack mate. When he finished, she would lift the lantern and slowly let it go, watching as it floated into the dark sky. "Goodbye." She whispered, her voice catching in her throat.

The emotions that made her hand shake started to spread through the rest of her body, until she was absolutely wrought with quakes. Her legs gave out of her and she eased herself to her knees. She took a few deep breaths, closing her eyes tightly against the red tears that wanted to flow over. She would not cry; Seven would not want her to cry. That would be unacceptable.

If she couldnt cry, then perhaps she could lament him in another way.

Without warning, Okibi threw her head back and let loose the saddest, most heartbreaking howl ever heard. Perhaps it was strange hearing such an animalistic sound come from a human, but to her, it was only natural. She sang out her sadness in the language of her fallen comrade, baying woefully at the moon and the stars.

This would continue for nearly five minutes before Okibi slowly quieted and lowered her head.

Tama understood more than she could probably ever fathom. It was the curse of being a genius, to be able to understand so much, but be unable to show it without being extra eccentric about it.

The cold of her palm against his glove passed through the cloth, and his hand turned palm up to grasp at her gasping hand a little to give some of his warmth to it. Dressed as she was he knew she was still cold due to the time of day but Okibi wouldn’t have it any other way. When she released him the blonde graciously removed his scent away from her immediate presence and watched with his bi-colored eyes as she nodded towards the guard who used the crystal device to cause the mammoth gates to ajar enough for the two shinobi to walk out.
A gust of fresh air that was all its own when compared to the moldy cool air that belonged to the stone contours of their home rushed in past the scientist’s face, and he breathed it in deep. The cool tastes of the world above kindle both an excitement and caused a calm cool to rush through him. He hadn’t stepped outside once since his last ordeal with the Chains of Oblivion had taken his battered body all across the Maelstrom to gather the destructive pieces of that weapon. Even most hardened shinobi would balk at the idea of entering the Wind Country again after going through what he did, but for Tama, surviving as long as he did on pure chakra was a small source of pride; instead of being defeated by the swirling bladed winds above he proved himself stronger.

The white hair of Okibi blew up a little as she was the first to enter the tunnel leading up and out, and Tama followed faithfully behind as the guards closed the gates behind them until they returned. Even if they were going to be on the surface for just a minute the rules stayed firm that the gates remained sealed unless the Sunans were immediately passing through. It had something to do with a certain oxygen pressure that the cave had that would pop of too much outside air forced its way in to mix with the air created by the mold. It would cause a massive drop in the oxygen levels and likely create a panic amongst the people so they stayed closed as much as possible.

The climb up wasn’t anything to sneeze at, but for someone who had perfect control over their chakra it was rather easy. The scientist followed close behind the struggling girl and wanted to help but knew better of it. He wanted to encourage the stubbornness of the Wild Child that struggled and slipped as she used every last bit of her strength to complete what she had set out to do. If he went about trying to help bring her up to the entrance it wouldn’t have held as near a great importance to her as it would proving to the lost Seven that even in this state she was strong enough to say goodbye on her terms.
His concerns doubled, though, when they finally reached the dark golden sands and she was panting with exhaustion. He tried to step forward to help her with the candle but that stubbornness shined through once again as she removed a lighter and lit the flame herself.
After a second the scent raised up into Tama nostrils and he breathed it in deep. They were familiar smells for him as well, even if he couldn’t catch the same deepness that an Inuzuka could. They reminded him of a time so long ago when he and his mothered walked the lands above to seek a permanent home. They had tried to cut their lot with nature but found that even then they couldn’t find peace as a certain man constantly hounded their steps.

Okibi then began to speak in the language of beasts, saying the most important of what she had to say in private. As she did this Tama looked up into the beautiful night sky and felt his heart elevate a little to see such beauty on such a bitter-sweet occasion. When he language returned to the common tongue he felt that it was his turn to say a few things. Reaching into his trench coat the blonde pulled out a little hand-held leather bound book that was tied together with a little golden ribbon that was sewed into the spine of the leather. He untied the ribbon and flipped it open to where a little book mark was,
‘Uiuimus, mori, sed quod habitat in tenebris praesertim contra nitimur corde omnis homo est animal, et arbor. Ad hoc tendunt ad esse hominis, sed retro ire et non intellexerunt quod ex vobis est centrum mundi justo.’
’Ad ea semper spiritus in hoc neque in futuro amet.’ Chapter seven, verse thrity-two, The Will of The White.”

Tama closed the book and placed it back into his coat before reaching up to pull the little blue ribbon from around his neck and held it up with his right hand. He focused a little of his chakra into the palm of his hand and changed its natured to lean towards the air and caused a little gust to send the ribbon up into the air to swirl around the little lantern and send them both up into the night sky; they sent their messages up to Seven in their own little ways.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and...bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant…” He said before Okibi dropped to the ground in the surging emotions of her lost. He turned to look at her a little concerned before she erupted into a howl that hit him deep inside of his soul. Water began to well up into the corners of his eyes as he turned to look back up into the night sky to watch the candle and ribbon swirl away into the darkness. When she had finally finished the blonde kneeled down beside her. He kept himself from throwing a hug around her shoulders, though it was a tough feat, and simply remained quiet until she was ready.

'We live, we die, but most importantly we strive to fight the darkness that dwells in the heart of every man, beast, and tree. To strive towards this is to be human, but to step back and realize that your not the center of the world is to be godly.
The spirit shall always return to those it loves in this time or the next.' - Spoken in Latin, the Ryuu's native language.

Although her baying stopped, the pain in her chest did not lessen. Okibi crossed her arms over her chest and gripped at it with her hands, trying to stave off the hurt. She didnt know letting go of his spirit would hurt so much . . . she truly felt like a part of her was dying inside.

And yet, at the same time, she felt something else being renewed, and the more time she spent kneeling there in the moonlight, the more she felt that pain in her chest lessen. It didnt go away completely, and she didnt think that it ever would, but now at least she felt like she could finally start moving forward.

Sniffing loudly, Okibi turned and leaned over, having sensed Tama sit down next to her. She laid her forehead softly against his shoulder and just sat like that for a few minutes, breathing deeply of his scent. She was very grateful that he'd done this with her tonight. She wouldnt have had the courage to either venture outside the gates, or to let go of Seven, if she hadnt had her friend at her side. "Thank you for coming out here with me Tami." She said softly, rubbing her forehead against him in a doglike show of affection. If was funny, but she didnt feel scared doing that, touching him just then, and she wondered why. Perhaps it was because she was the one who initiated the touching.

She sat that way for just a few moments longer before she pulled away and looked up into Tama's bicolored eyes. She smiled at him - actually smiled - and she felt something come to life inside of her. It was new, and weak, but it fueled the slight upturning of her lips that she hadn't been able to force for months. It felt good to smile again.

"Lets get back inside before Sogay sends out a search party for us." She said with just the smallest laugh. It was only a half joke too - she feared that if they stayed out there too long Sousuke really would let loose the hounds and send out search teams to find them. She supposed she couldn't blame him for being so cautious; the last time she'd been away for too long, it had turned into an entire year.

Okibi grunted as she tried to get up on her own, her legs shaking like leaves as she stood up. When she got to her full height, her head swam and she saw stars for a moment before she went toppling over, right into Tama. It didnt occur to Okibi for the moment that she was touching a male using most of her body; she felt way too dizzy to care just then. She closed her eyes tightly and rubbed at her forehead with her mechanical arm.

"Augh. I . . . I guess I really did use up all my chakra just climbing up here." She turned her face and smiled grimly up at Tama. "Sorry Tami. I should be okay in a few minutes. Maybe."

The scientist’s silence was deep as he simply waited there for her to finish on her own terms. The cold air swirled around them and during that moment he wished she wasn’t having problems with certain scents so he could place his jacket over her shoulders to keep Okibi warm, but she surprised him instead by actually leaning against his shoulder.
For a moment he just froze, unsure what to do until he felt the gentle nuzzle of her cheek against the shoulder. His body relaxed once again before he lifted an arm to drape lightly across her shoulders to pull her in a little closer to try and let some of his natural heat keep her warm in the cold air; he was cold, Tama knew she had to be at least a little.

Anytime, Wild Child,” he said in a somewhat playful voice to try and lift the mood a little as he responded to his nickname with her own…he was pretty sure she could say ‘Tama’ now, she just chose to continue to add that little ‘I’ at the end of it. It wasn’t that he minded at all either, as no one had ever paused for a second to give him one before or since the crazy girl came into his life.
Happily he held her there as the winds began to blow a little stronger, giving the two ample warning that the Maelstrom was coming back to make its stay at the Maw for the next few hours. The blade-like winds always decided to hang around Suna for the hours of six-nine in the morning and it was nearing the sixth hour of the day. Off in the distance the first cracks of light began to brighten the blurry horizon letting them also know that the night would face away to be replaced by a large ball of explosive gas. Probably sensing it was time he felt Okibi pull away from him and smiled.

That smile literally made Tama’s year. Forget destroying an entire bandit tribe, (on accident too), stopping his spontaneous aging, learning new powers that made him nearly unstoppable as a shinobi, the dozens of inventions that had given him a bit to live comfortably on…no…this girl’s smile was the highlight of this year because he thought he’d never see it again.
Or at least a horde of robotic creatures,” Tama joked back at Okibi, chuckling at the truth she spoke. It also brought up another slight paranoia of the Steward finding him and his daughter up on the surface but he squashed it down believing Sousuke to still have a far more sense of rationality than most fathers did.

Then a quick series of events would happen that would just totally throw Tama off completely. Okibi would go to stand up but instead of being able to hold herself up the weak muscles still quite unused to being used so much buckled and threw the shock-white haired girl into the scientist which of course knocked him off his feet and onto his back.
His eyes opened up as he rubbed the back of his head a little to feel that the very light weight that was somewhat holding him down. He looked to see that it Okibi who’s fallen position left her somewhat straddling his stomach.
Now normally most guys his age, (cause in all reality he was Okibi’s age despite his appearance), would probably be all like, “awww yeah,” but for Tama who had an extreme fear of women felt his heart jump straight into his throat. His entire body shook once for a second and he closed his eyes to calm himself a little. It was just Okibi, your best friend, he told himself over and over again trying to squash down the images of a furiously death tornado that his imagination kept telling him she had the power for. She was, after all, the original walking hurricane.

What snapped his fear of the fact that she was a female pinning him was her mention of her chakra. It was like a trigger for the scientist, when he heard the word Chakra or Coil he instantly reverted back to his normal ultra genius self and would attempt instantly to solve the problem; since no one knew as much about chakra and the coils they inhabited like he did. His eyes popped back open and he stopped shaking immediately and instead gave her a “what did you just say” look.
C-chakra you say?” he stuttered a little as his body returned to normal, “That’s a little odd. You should have at least recovered enough chakra from our time up here that you should at least have the strength to stand…sounds like your muscles aren’t the only thing that have become atrophied…”

A look of deep thought crossed Tama’s face he placed his right hand on his chin and closed his eyes so he could think. Normally something like this would absolutely cripple a shinobi unless they worked hard at molding chakra for the next ten years and even then they’d only have a fraction of what they had. Fortunately for Okibi, her best friend was a chakra coil specialist who had long ago figured out a technique for reviving the chakra coil faster. He had to do it himself to get his artificial chakra coil to start up.
His eyes shot opened and a smile crossed his face as he sat up rather quickly and said,
Then I’ll just have to help you recover your chakra! We’ll start once we get back into the village by heading to my new house, which I doubt you’ve seen, and we’ll…begin by focusing…”

A deep smell hit his sense that he had never noticed before, the smell of a female who care deeply for him. Little did he realize at that moment that with Okibi so close to him the chakra that lined the surface of his skin had managed to accidentally steal away a bit of her remaining chakra and initiated the Inuzuka sensory function for just a few seconds since her chakra was weak and the coil couldn’t take a full sample.
For the first time in his life he fully understood how it was when they said that dogs and the Inuzuka saw the world with their nose. His nose which could of caught the hundreds of other scents out there in the open desert caught just Okibi’s and it relaxed him despite the fact that she was one with the killer gender.
His face turned a deep red after he caught her smell and found his face close enough to hers to make it a cute awkward scene between two close friends. He wanted to say something, anything really, but he couldn’t even get his brain to think straight until the Inuzuka olfactory powers faded away.

The fuzziness in her head didnt seem to want to go away. She rubbed her temples, she took deep breaths, but the dizzy sensation just wouldnt go away. At one point, she just had to put her head down, so she did; on top of Tama's chest. She didnt realize just what their position looked like, she sprawled on top of him like a well used blanket, her hands splayed on his chest from when she tried to catch herself. Nope, she didnt realize for a second how compromising such a position could be between friends; nor did she realize the kind of effect it was having on her dear Tama.

The young man's stuttering caught her attention and Okibi trie to tune in to what he was saying. As the throbbing in her head was finally starting to dissipate, she found it a little easier to make sense of his words. In the end, she thought it sounded like he was spouting a diluted version of his sciencey talk. There werent any big words, but his voice had taken on that certain tone it only did when he was in that special place in his head.

Finally, her head was clear again and she looked up once more, and immediately her eyes widened with realization. She was laying on top of Tama! Her friend! Her wide red and pink eyes blinked furiously as she tried to process that information. She was touching a male, much more than she normally allowed or even attempted, and yet . . . she felt no fear. Okibi looked off to the side as she thought about that. Usually her initial reaction to being touched was to jump and/or jerk away. She'd been trying to get those urges under control recently, but she didnt think she'd come so far that she could lie down on top of someone and not freak the hell out.

So why wasnt she panicing?

Okibi looked back at Tama, who seemed to be lost in thought for the moment. Maybe it was just because it was him, and not somebody else. He was her closest friend after all; theyd been through some pretty funky things together. Even then, when she needed someone to support her when she said goodbye to her deceased companion, he'd gone with her readily and without question. Yeah . . . maybe it was just because it was Tama she was lying on. The thought brought a slight twitch to her lips and she put her head back down and took a whiff of Tama's shirt and vest. It used to be she didnt find his scent anything special, and in fact she used to think it was a bit weird, but who would have guessed that it would bring her such comfort now? Without realizing it, Okibi relaxed against her friend and just nearly closed her eyes when suddenly . . .

Tama's arm snaked around her waist and he brought them sailing up into a sitting position. Okibi's eyes blinked wide again in surprise and she bunched his vest up in her hands. He started to ramble something about helping her recover her chakra and taking her to his new house but the only thing she could think about was how close they suddenly were. His face was only a scant few inches from hers. Was it just her, or was her face suddenly heating up. Okibi reached up with her flesh arm and patted her cheeks as Tama's words trailed off. She didnt notice his sudden intense silence, being too caught up with the reactions in her own body. Was she actually blushing? How in the world was that possible? The Old Okibi certainly never blushed, and while she wasnt anywhere near being like her old self again, Okibi still didnt think the redenning of the cheeks would come so easily to her. Why now? Why with Tama?

Her gaze drifted upward again, but she didnt pull up her head this time. She watched Tama watch her through her pale lashes, blinking furiously. His face was red too; she wondered if hers was as bad as that? Tentatively, Okibi took a sniff and noticed that his scent had changed just the smallest bit; he was as flustered as she was.

Okibi cleared her throat and tried to look away again, unable to bear the sudden awkwardness she felt. It was such a strange, and new sensation. "Tha-that sounds like a good idea. But um . . . uh." Her eyes glanced this way and that before they decided to fixate on the bow Tama wore around his neck. Her hands inched up and started to nervously fiddle with it. "I dont think I can get down by myself . . ." And she looked up at him again through her eyelashes, trying not to look desperate but just a little imploring. She was already in his embrace, would it be so much worse if she let him help her down?

Nah, she didnt believe that would be so.

Um…yeah, yeah I believe I can help you with that. Don’t need you s-slipping down the gulch and hurting yourself.” Just as Okibi had a hard time looking Tama in his bi-colored eyes, the scientist was having a hell of a time trying to notice anything but the girl that was sitting on his lap.

Boy those rocks sure looked rockier than normal. Perhaps a build up from the sand? Yeah, probably that, yeah.

Without trying to focus too hard on it the youth gathered his legs under him and moved his arms so that he could simply lift Okibi’s body up into his arms. She was light as a feather to him with the sole exception of her arm which in all reality didn’t add very much more weight to her frame. It was really a work a genius but he seriously couldn’t find his brain enough to focus on that. No, all that was rummaging through the blonde’s mind was how close she had been to his face and how she smelled. He couldn’t smell it now no matter how hard he tried but for the few seconds that he had claimed the same nostril power as the Wild Child he had breathed in a smell he would never be able to forget.

Focusing a light layer of chakra on his feet Tama slowly walked back into the Maw and did a little hop at the edge to slide down the tunnel on the chakra of his feet rather than make the walk unnecessarily long and smoother than the constant shifts and bumps she would feel from him walking down hill.
When they reached the gate he moved the arm that was tucked under her legs to knock on the gate a couple of times. A little metal bar slid open to reveal a murder hole to which a pair of eyes occupied. A rasping voice that was obviously being faked scrawled out into the air,
What…is your favorite color…
….sky blue…” he said with narrowed eyes burning a glare into the guard’s. This nut job would just happen to be on duty when he was living out possibly the most awkward moment of his entire life – and he had streaked through a small village once.
What…is the sub-capital of the Hosikata Islands?

Tama punched the gate where the guard’s face would be and heard the sound of the man falling to the ground with a surprised yelp; the blonde’s attack did shake the giant gates a little after all. Before long the crack revealed itself for the young man to walk on through to the other side carrying the white-haired girl with him. Despite the swollen eye the guy was snickering the entire time Tama walked by and towards the metal lift.

Freaking Mondays.
