Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Uri had been called upon for a mission close to home, and while there may have been a ton of other shinobi capable of performing this job, Uri was the only one with the knowledge to try and combat something this dangerous. When he had first heard the rumors of what was going on, bearing witness to the child coming to the hospital ruins over and over again pleading for help, the chuunin knew instantly what the problem was; although he desperately hoped he was wrong. This wasn't a matter that normal shinobi means could handle. Illusion and trickery was above this entity. No matter how hard you tried to stare, you would never see it, not if it didn't want you too, and by that point it was already too late.

The selection of these children was concerning, but the issue at hand was the being responsible. While Uri did take the normal precautions of surveillance and clone tracking to watch the kids, he knew, deep down in his stomach that this was indeed the same being he had encountered all those years ago. Whether or not its unusual patterns had brought it to Sunagakure or if it had followed Uri, he didn't know, but as one of the only people who knew of it he felt responsible for aiding in its abolishment. The chuunin was in the shadows, overseeing one of the children, the one that had vanished for a period of time, and was browsing through one of his numerous travel journals. In a small village on the outskirts of Bear Country he had encountered a man who was plagued by such similar occurrences, running about, chasing after seemingly pointless notes. By the end of his visit, the man had been lost to the abyss to never be heard from again.

The whole time he had made an effort to assist this person, looked up as much lore as he could, but to no avail, despite there being knowledge of this creature, no one had a clue in how to repel it. After much research, Uri had come to a few theories, but had never a chance to test them. The seals placed onto his hands were linked to the fabric of existence and in such a fashion could be used to control this being as well. Sealing techniques had become a specialty of Uri's over the last decade and he hoped that he would be able to trap this thing, or at least seal it out of the village.

While plans were nice, he wasn't prepared for what happened next. The child he had been shadowing was taken from his view. One moment he was there, still acting skittish, and the next gone into the ether with no more than a shrill squeak of a boy not yet a teenager. Rarely would this creature act with its actions being watched. Uri had prepared for such an event. With the reports of these kids reaching the government, all of the kids had been sent for check-ups. While many didn't go so well, Uri took the time to be there for each of them in disguise as an intern. During that time, he marked all three boys with seals. The sigils on his palms glowed and suddenly the vanished boy dropped back into existence in a flash of light. The brightness proceeded like a flare and in the illumination was a dark figure revealed. A faceless person with no defining features, in all black clothing. There was a brief moment Uri could feel it staring at him before it vanished again into nothingness.

His seal had worked. Luckily. Now he at least had a method of stopping it from grabbing children and it would hopefully deter it for even a brief period of time. One step at a time. No children would be taken while Uri was there.
