Age: 17
Physical Description: Standing at 5'9" and weighing 165 lbs Hideo is average in height with a relatively muscular physique. Unequal length blue black hair covers his head, with the front about eyebrow length and tapering toward the back to about neck length. Large dull blue eyes gaze confidently out from behind a baseball cap. He has an average, somewhat forgettable face which seems to always have a soft, confident expression which is often described as 'cocky' or 'punchable'. A well built athletes physique is accompanied by the light tanned skin of outdoor activity, of note are his large calves, shoulders and back - hinting at the fact his body is trained heavily to throw. For attire he is almost always seen wearing black and blue baseball cap, multicolor hooded varsity jacket with a button up collared white shirt and black undershirt and a pair of black sweat pants with red spike less cleats. Perhaps most striking of Hideo's attire is that his right forearm is heavily wrapped with athletic tape as well as a few of his fingers and thumb.
Mental Description: Hideo is confident, quiet and passionate - he enjoys more then anything challenging his own limits, oft to a fault. Unlike most with his confident nature he rarely speaks unless spoken to, seemingly preferring his own company or a small group of two or three over large groups. Deeply passionate about his interests Hideo devotes himself entirely to his hobbies and interests, at the cost of anything else he will pursue these passions - this gives him the air of a foolish youth, more interesting in trivial things then responsibilities. Furthermore, his interest is almost always something physical - giving him the reputation as a 'muscle brain' or 'meat head'. These claims aren't entirely unfounded, for while Hideo excels physically he isn't particularly intelligent and will often get distracted or disinterested if things get a bit too academic. His passions also stretch to people, should someone manage to become his close friend it isn't an exaggeration to say Hideo would drop anything to help them, even if it put himself in danger. This isn't to say Hideo is a paragon of justice or friendship, he is simply deeply loyal.
History: The Iwamura family began it's history in Tea Country - small time tea merchants Hideo's grandfather owns a small patch of land and employees a number of workers making small, high end batch tea of various kinds every season, often doing single batch specialty tea. When Hideo's father turned twenty he left Tea Country with his wife and immigrated to Fire Country and settled themselves in Konohagakure, starting a small tea import store and selling their family tea. Hideo was raised well by his parents, however as he got older they grew to fear his growing rambunctious nature and that it would draw him into the life of a Shinobi and so they sent him to live with grandfather in Tea Country when he turned eight. Quickly Hideo found his true passion in life - baseball, a few local children were playing it in town and quickly Hideo took to it. Realizing the young boys passion Hideo's grandfather enrolled him into a local boarding school famed for it's baseball team. Hideo proved an incredible pitcher and over the next seven years Hideo lead his various teams to four Tea Country championships. However the small countries baseball was quickly growing to be not enough for Hideo, and at sixteen he asked his parents to allow him to return to Konohagakure. Quickly Hideo tried to join a local baseball team but found that none wanted to take a risk on an unknown pitcher from a small country not known for their baseball talent. Left without an outlet for his passions Hideo decided to try his hands at becoming a Ninja and enrolled at the next semester into the Konoha Academy. While he is old for an Academy Student Hideo seems not to mind, just happy to find a new passion to pursue.
