Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Izayoi Aoi - Suna Student

Name: Izayoi Aoi - Family Name Given Name

Age: 13

Gender: Female

Appearance: Her dark, granite eyes shine brightly against her pale skin, except when her bangs shield them from the artificial illumination in the subterranean Sunagakure. She stands at 4'6" and 80 lbs, her slender frame striking a remarkable balance between skeletal and flabby. Her garb consists of the traditional Miko attire, including red hakama, white haori, tabi and watari, and a red-white candy-cane striped ribbon holding her long, black hair in a ponytail. Around her neck is a medallion engraved with the Sentama Legacy's symbol. (Writer's note: this looks like an ouroboros wrapped around a yin-yang symbol)

Personality: In stark contrast to other students, Aoi is silent, stoic, and well in control of her emotions if she has any at all. Her time spent as a Miko for a Sunagakure Shinto shrine has enabled her to restrain the inherited Sentama Outrage as well, and as such she is not as hostile or volatile as other descendants of First Man Sentama Akumaru. In fact, she tends to be peaceful to a fault, often displaying pacifism and mercy when none is deserved.

History:
The Sentama Legacy -- Long ago, before even the founding of Sunagakure by the First Men and the One King, a berserker outcast by the name Sentama Akumaru made a deal with a powerful oni called Zansatsu. The first Sentama needed to contain his infamous Outrage so that he could rejoin his nomadic clan on better terms, and Zansatsu needed to bind himself to human flesh in order to achieve apotheosis. Thus, Akumaru submitted himself to demonic possession, granting both what they desired at the time.

One night, Zansatsu had taken control of Akumaru while he was resting with his wife. The possessed man awoke to the sight of himself strangling his wife with his bare hands, unable to wrench control of his own body from the demon within. His next victims were his children, whom he ate. Then the rest of his brethren were slain, mutilated well beyond the end of their mortality.

Finally, and wandering priestess happened to stumble upon the carnage. As she staggered amidst the bloody devastation, the figure of Akumaru--whose soul had been broken--wrestled her to the ground and proceeded to have his way with her. Knowing very well that the man was not responsible for his own actions, the priestess struggled to pray for Akumaru's freedom. Her words were heeded, as Akumaru's spirit was mended and Zansatsu's form purged itself from Akumaru's mouth in the form of a tentacled parasite.

His Outrage empowered with hatred for the demon and her duty to serve humanity called upon, Akumaru and the priestess battled Zansatsu for ten days straight before the writhing mass swore his revenge and fled deep underground. Although the battle had been won and the man had regained control of his own humanity, it was too late. The demon had already obtained godhood, the man had already lost his clan, and the priestess was already with child.

The pair trudged throughout the world, in search of a new home for their unexpected family to live. Then, one night, the One King found the duo, starved and exhausted from their trek. He offered them food, drink. and rest in exchange for their company, and they gladly accepted with gratitude. After they had recounted their horrific tale, the One King stood up and offered them a new life under his rule.

And such were the beginnings of the Sentama Legacy.

Left for Dead -- Many generations have passed since then, and the Sentama clan is now scarce and scattered across the world. Akumaru's infamous Outrage had been inherited by most of his lineage, and of those who did, most could not control their inheritance and met swift deaths at the hands of powerful, yet skilled shinobi. One branch of the the family was quite fortunate, to say the least, to not have the Outrage for five generations. They lived in peace and unity with the rest of the community, even wedding into the Izayoi clan in Sunagakure.

However, when Aoi was born, that good fortune came to an end. The girl would constantly throw tantrums, breaking objects, and beating on her family with her tiny fists. Such was the Outrage's potency on her.

One night, her older brother got tired of her unjustified anger, picked her up and hurled her down the stairs, breaking several bones in her body. Realizing too late what he had done, the boy attempted to hide his cruelty by carrying her unconscious body outside their home and deep within the subterranean city, abandoning her at an abandoned Shinto shrine before returning home.

Miko in Training -- When her parents had discovered the boy's treachery, they set out in search for their daughter, only to find her missing from the Shinto shrine. In contrast to her previous misfortune of inheriting the Outrage, fortune smiled upon her when a Shinto priest had returned to the shrine to collect ancient documents. He and the Miko maidens healed her to the best of their abilities and adopted her into their family.

She was raised as a Miko maiden, serving the gods just as her mentors did. And although her outrage made it difficult to live by the peaceful Shinto principles, in time she learned to control it.

A Legacy Inherited -- At the age of thirteen, her old family visited the shrine in search of peace for their lost daughter. They had left an offering upon one of the altars: a medallion with the Sentama clan symbol on it. When Aoi put her hand on it, memories of Akumaru's life flooded her vision as she collapsed: his deal, his possession, his carnage, his struggle, his meeting with the One King, and all before and after. She knew it all, as though it were her own memories.

After racing to the head priest and telling him about what she had seen, he told her about the Sentama Legacy and suggested that she herself was destined to fend off Zansatsu once more. Determined to make her ancestors proud and uphold her duty to serve and protect humanity, Aoi enrolled herself in the Grand Halls of Learning to become a shinobi.
