Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Continued from here.

She bowed to the head monk in quiet gratitude as he took away the body to prepare, allowing her a window of time to go home. Yume changed into an all black dress and called her manager for a favour. That favour would probably take a bit of time though.

Thankful that the monk did not question the appearance of the dead demon child or worse, refuse the ceremony, Yume returned to the temple to see the coffin had lit up on fire for the cremation. This boy had no family to attend to a wake or a funeral except for her. At same time, he had been on this earth for far too long.

As the fire died down and the ashes and bones were all that was left, Yume smoothed down her dress to sit properly. With a plain, undecorated urn by her side and chopsticks in her hand, the teenage girl shortly bowed in thanks once again to the presiding monk, before beginning to pick out the ashy bones. Her expression was blank, hiding whatever true emotions that laid underneath.

Click, clack. One by one, the bone pieces fell into the urn.

It seemed like such a nice day to be out, Etsuko had no excuse of why she was out and about, she had no business, and nothing more but the night life to look forward too. While she was walking, it gave her time to think, her time she has spent in this village has been great. So much better than the little make shift camp that she had spent months before. She always had the choice of going home to her parents, but she was too stubborn and thick headed for that. Mostly it was her father she couldn't stand, she was sure he wouldn't want to see her anyways.

Etsuko's thoughts were full of puzzles, well more like scenarios that probably wont happen. It wasn't that she liked planning ahead, she just did it anyways, the brain of a nara was usually like that. She was thinking of future patients she might have, or maybe a sudden mission she might get sent away on. Anything could happen at anytime. What if someone challenged her to a sudden drinking contest? Nah that wouldn't happen at this moment, but bizarre things did happen in the ninja world.

Today Etsuko decided to dress up nicely, she planned on hitting up a few bars later, she was sure someone would buy her a few drinks, maybe a meal. If she planned it right, she could have this whole night for free, without a dime spent. She did this every other few weeks maybe, whenever she could get away from night shifts. She was still on call though, but her tolerance to alcohol was very high, some could say she only drank it for the taste and not the effects.

As Etsuko was planning her night, she seemed to have wondered way off course, though that was no problem. Though a sound peeked her interest, thumps of bones being dropped into a urn. Though she wasn't sure what exactly that sound was, but like any girl in a horror movie, she went to investigate. She spotted Yume, a girl she had met once before. She was in all black, and holding a urn, most likely morning the dead. Any person would leave her be, but Etsuko's curiosity, and lack of empathy, drew her closer. "Hey there, Teen idol." She stated with a wave as she approached. "What are you up to at this hour? Burring the dead?" She questioned, though it was obvious it was someone who was cremated.

Clack.

Yume froze in place after the bone fragment rattled carelessly into the urn. She stared ahead at the ashy remains before turning to look at the newcomer. Her eyes glistened, but no more tears fell. Ah, Etsuko. The med-nin from the Forest of Death, wasn't she? The girl smiled back albeit weakly and turned back to continue picking out the bones to place into the urn.

"It's my brother," she replied uncharacteristically quiet. The last bone of the head fell into the urn, which then meant that she had to collect the ashes. Not a sight one would think to see a happy-go-lucky idol doing.

Picking up with urn, she stood and faced the green haired woman. Her voice slowly came back lighthearted and almost cheery, as if she wasn't just completing the cremation ceremony. "You're dressed nicely today, Etsuko-san. Heading out to a party?" she smiled. "What are you doing at a place like this?

There was no way he is staying at her house for thirty-five days, sorry, she thought while tightening her grip on the urn. She would kill time with Etsuko until the discreet earpiece beeped for a specific, incoming call.

Silence.

Beep.

"Oh, excuse me..." Yume interrupted before Etsuko could reply, turning away and pressing onto her earpiece. Her other arm clung tightly to the urn against her stomach. A faint male voice buzzed from the earpiece incoherently. Yume said nothing in response, for the call ended immediately after. Turning back to the green haired woman, the idol smiled weakly and began walking past her and out of the room. "Have a good night, Etsuko-san. I have to go."

A small distance in the back of the temple was an area of stones. They weren't just any stones - they were gravestones. Yume scanned the darkness for one particular pink haired figure, approaching straight for him when she did.

"Jun."

He turned around to the sound of her voice. She smiled, placing the urn of ashes on the unmarked gravestone.

"Thank you."
