Her skin is soft and smooth with the use of various herbal medicines that maintains her youthful beauty. She wears very little make up; a little lip stick and eye shadow. She has a nice hourglass figure with nothing excessively large or thin. She wears what looks to be a nurse uniform with a white lotus embroidered on the right side. Hakuren is often seen with her twin sister who is almost identical except her hair is pink.
Character's Mental Description: Both Hakuren and her twin sister Aroe are proud of there accomplishments. They have worked hard to get this far it the medical field. they enjoy there work at the spa using there talents in the medical field in not only healing but relaxing ways. A shinobi life is full of stress with one not even knowing for certain if they will come back from a mission alive. Such built up tension is unhealthy and as med-nin under the General Practice Division they seek to treat these tensions before they turn into something major.
Character History: Due to the fact Hakuren and Aroe never inherited the Yamanaka talent they were constantly picked on be the other kids in the clan. However instead of descending into misery they were determined to rise above it. They will make a name for themselves, but that doesn't mean the bullying did not have any negative effects on them. No the constant teasing and hitting from the older kids made them timid. They will strive to prove there worth as long as it did not mean they had to fight. So while the other academy students played, they studied day and night. Among the three field they could go down the answer was obvious. To most of the students dismay the MiT exam was a written one with a couple of essay questions at the end.
There MiT years was mostly spent in the hospital as receptionist, which is not nearly as easy as it sounds. It's more then just sitting behind a desk all day. Its all paperwork. Organizing appointments, medical histories, patient logs, doctor notes, research documents. A knowledge of medical therms was a must and medical field plenty of acronyms know like DVT (deep vein thrombosis). They learn quickly that this was primarily what the medical field was. Half of a doctor job was practicing there field of expertise and the other half was paperwork. On their off hours they spent their time observing a superior member at work while taking detail notes.
Finally after a couple of years they were ready for their medical exam. They expected to do something in the hospital, instead they were lead outside the village to a location the was hit by a mud slide from the weeks of rain they have been having. In short they were to do field work. They had to find and rescue survivors in the heavy rain, get them to the medical tent and treat them with far less resources then what they would have at the hospital. They had to learn to make do with you got. Guys got a broken leg and you don't have a splint, find to pieces of wood, rip off your sleeve and make one. It was the most grueling experience they ever done and will complain about paperwork ever again. When they passed they chose to stay in the hospital.

Despite Hakuren and Aroe not inheriting the Yamanaka abilities, as kids they were still taught key skills that were taught to every other member of the clan. Their parents thought they would at least learn something and they did. The knowledge they would learn here would later help them in their career goals in the future. One of the few skills they took a knack too was senbon wielding. Most Yamanaka use flower stems as senbon, which allows the to poison their opponent. However the clan was not satisfied with simply poisoning for there is so much more potential for such a simple weapon. A senbon is a key tool in acupuncture; with certain knowledge you can paralyze your opponent. For years they had to study the chakra system and memorize each pressure point in the human body.
Hakuren and Aroe can still remember sitting in a room full of kids around their own age. One of the older members of the clan would draw a chart on the human chakra system onto the chalkboard. With a pointer the teacher would strike a point it the chakra system, look at Haruken with a very stern look and ask her with a firm voice, "Haruken! Name this point." Haruken swore he only calls on her because he knows she doesn't know the answer.
Nervously Hakuren would stand up and give her best guess. "Keimon the gate of joy, sir" With the teachers frown she instantly knew she was wrong.
"That is incorrect. I suggest you study hard tonight for there will be a quiz at the end of this week." Hakuren gives a shy nod and sits down. The teacher would then look at Hakuren's twin sister Aroe. Aroe was far better at remembering these things. It just seemed unfair to Hukaren. "Aroe can you give us the correct answer?"
With a big smile Aroe stands up and proclaims, "That is Kaimon the gate of Opening. It is the first of the eight inner gates." And of coarse she was right for she was always right.
"That is correct Aroe excellent job." The teacher would then praise her and she would sit down. "Hukaren why can you be more like your sister here?" Hakuren was jealous this came so easily for her but thankfully Aroe always helps her study after class. Eventually Hakuren knew the subject as well as Aroe did which definitely helped in the exams.
It was not until the Med-nin in training years that they realize that acupuncture had healing qualities. Hakuren found a medical text book on massage therapy, "Hey look we can divert chakra to focus on a injury to make it heal quicker with the stuff we learned from the clan. We can recover a person that had their chakra points blocked and even stimulate pleasure rather than pain." Also they realized they did not need weapons to do any of this. All they require were there hands to preform what is called acupressure. They then begin looking at more books on the subject and for some time they studied and practiced several forms of massages; on each other of coarse. This thus became their first specialty, which allowed them to apply for the Med-nin exam. once they became an official med-nin they did more detailed studies an even decide to put specialty into practice. Hakuren and Aroe would make a job out of there specialty by preforming acupressure on other shinobi. Soon the two of them got the own offices in the hospital as massage therapists. But they will need more practice if the what to master the art form.
