Daine the messenger bird's journey northward was chilling, to say the least. The bird almost froze to death on several occasions and managed to escape his appointment with death only by the good fortune of finding travelers who had built warm fires. On the fifth day he arrived at the edge of the Cloud village and dropped his message on the ground. The message read:
Ninpocho Chronicles
Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.
Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.
Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.
The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Kane was watching the gates and saw someone come and drop a letter in the front of the gates. He picked up the letter and read it to himself. I thought that the war killed them all off besides the mercenaries. That must have been one of them.
He pocketed the letter and would take it to the Raikage later. If he remembered....

Whoever was behind these letters must have been persistent as they had sent a second wave of letters out. The following letter arrived outside the Cloud village thanks to the work of a carrier bird by the name of Dai, a distant relative of the previous messenger bird Daine. This second letter read:
His travels included running into a letter. The messenger seemed to be rich, Anatsu needed money. Seemed like something terrible had happened to the Konohagakure that chased him out. As for now, Anatsu would handle his business and make way for the promise of profit. The letter was intercepted and the Uchiha began his planning.

Some people were normal. Some people sent courier pigeons when they wanted to send a message. Those who were wealthier sent a telegram. The especially well to do sent human messengers. Some people weren't so normal. Some people sent elephants as messenger animals. Some people went further still and wrote the message upon the elephant using washable paint.
The following message was written on an elephant that had made its way towards the outer limits of the Hidden Cloud Village. The elephant attracted the attention of merchants waiting their turn to enter the village and of passing children alike. Whoever sent an elephant as a message might not have been normal, but no one could doubt that an elephant would be sure to attract attention.

Senka was on gate duty when, of all things... an elephant approached. She had never seen an animal quite like that, and as it walked towards the gate, coming closer with each slow step, she glimpsed discolored streaks on its sides. As quickly as she could, the stitched-up girl walked down the stairs to get on ground level and approached the animal cautiously, as it came to a stop before the gates, trumpeting to nobody in particular while showing off what appeared to be a message on one of its sides.
She was unsure what to make of the message, but the mention of the village hidden in the leaf was certainly something of concern. She quickly took a snapshot of the situation and decided that she would write the message out for Kurogane later, as she unhesitatingly walked up to the elephant with no fear in her steps, and performed the Destroy Presence Jutsu on its side, removing the paint without a trace. With this, she gave the animal a piece of her lunch bread and shooed it away.
