Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Akane had finally arrived in sand, though she had no reason to going, she decided to make the journey anyways. Since the Inter village exam was going on, it gave her a chance to go somewhere else, outside of lightning country. She did not intend on entering in any of the exams, but she knew others from her own village might, making her more of a cheerleader in this stand point. She will of course cheer for her home team, she always had.

Akane was not only here to witness some of the ongoing exams, but she was here to meet new people. Kitsune always told her it was good to meet acquaintances after all, it could lead to business partners, and even friendships across country's. Akane was more into friendships, since she didn't, and probably would never run the business. She could possibly help in the future, but she was sure Kitsune and her daughters had it.

Either way, akane liked her style, it was easy to move in, and possibly distract enemies. She wore a bikini top, and shorts. Her feet were covered by boots, and on her wast hung two pouches, both full of ninja items. One of her pouches held an old watch, ever since it was put in her care, she hadn't let it out of her sight. Her outfit was not fit for the cold land of the lightning country, but over time she had gotten used to the cold. Here in the wind country, it was a drastic change for her, it was hot, and her clothing fit the heat better than where she came from.

Akane wondered through the Bazaar of Soon's Haven, she might not be the prepy type, but items such as cloths, jewelry, and makeup still caught her eyes. Akane was looking over each stall, until she stopped to take a closer look at some scarfs. These ones were not designed for cold places, so they were silk-like, and thin. She couldn't help but observe the many different patterns, also the prices seemed a little on the expensive side, despite the low quality material. Some looked like silk, but she could tell they were not the real thing. Akane had to hand it to them, they did make nice looking scarfs though.

[col]The bazaar in Soon's Haven could almost remind someone of Sunagakure... Bustling streets filled with various stalls, casinos, and restaurants, each with their own style and feeling. The people just as diverse as the place they dwell, and really the only difference being the sun. Since it isn't underground, of course. This was where one could find not only the young Yanjirou, but the rest of the Byakko clan as they made an appearance for the inter village exam. Most were not aware that Lord Akujin and Lady Yanshi had even had children, and out of the ones who knew their faces, likely just assumed they were there to do their job as shinobi, but in reality it was just a good way to get the kids out of the underground. Yanji, the older of the twins there today, was walking slightly ahead of his family to avoid drawing attention to himself. He didn't want to be know as the Byakko's child outside of the village as well, and did his best to blend with the crowd as he did in the lower levels of Suna.

At the time, there were many shinobi from all around the continent and beyond, all there for similar reasons, most for the exam. Some were there just to watch, as he and his family were, while others were simply visiting. This was the kind of atmosphere that the boy loved, so many strangers all gathered together to just live, no one really caring about your status unless you intend to buy. It may not leave much room to converse, but it leaves plenty of room to watch, and learn. Which is exactly what he was doing, and it didn't take too long for something, rather, someone to catch his eye.

A woman, or at least an individual that he could only assume to be a woman, was looking at scarves and various other items. The first thing he noticed, was her pale white skin contrasting with the dull colors and clothing of the rest of the bazaar, which stood out quite a bit. Although he couldn't deny her figure was attractive - even for a nine year old - the thing that really made him interested was the symbol she wore. The symbol of Kumogakure... Information he had read began to flood into his mind, and one of the first questions he had was, how could she possibly stay warm with those clothes on in that weather? According to many textbooks, Lightning Country is one of, if not the coldest country on the continent. So unless she purposely prepared lighter clothing for her trip to Wind Country, there had to be some other way to stay warm. Was there some technique they used so that they could keep maneuverability while still remaining warm? There was only one way to find out, and as usual, Yanji became far less timid when it came to acquiring knowledge.|

Like he normally did, Yanji wore his hood to cover the ears passed to him by blood, and tried his best to hide his katana's hilt beneath his jacket, and the rest behind him. He didn't want to accidentally intimidate a shinobi by wielding a weapon in front of them, after all. As he grew close, his golden eyes began to glow slightly at the thought of learning about someone from a far off land, and luckily for him, he likely wouldn't have to wait long to do so.

"Excuse me ma'am," He said as he gripped her skin and tugged slightly, the lack of clothing was a bit of a nuisance, "I see by your headband that you come from Kumogakure No Sato, do you mind if I ask you some questions? I am very interested in learning more about your village." With luck, the woman would be kind enough to co-operate with such a small, young child. He was even trying his best to put a cute face on, which was difficult with such a wide smile on his face. Hopefully the rest of his family wouldn't ruin his chances when they caught up...

In all honesty, Akane was enjoying the warm weather for a change, though it'd be quite the adjustment when she got back home. But she has never had a problem with the cold, she was born in it after all, and the warmth of Suna was just a brand new feeling to her. Well she has sat in front of a heater before, but she never expected it could get this hot outside.

This made Akane want to travel more, and explore suna, but she'd have to wait to get the full experience until after the exams. After all, she suspected most of these vendors were only set up because of the large crowd of people that had gathered. This crowd kinda made her anxious as well, weird, a ninja being anxious. It was just there were so many strangers, and more than half of them were not from her home.

Akane didn't know how Suna's, or stone's ninja's acted, she wasn't even sure if there was some sort of rift between the ninja. She never took much time with politics, and outside life after all. What if the citizens didn't like ninja from other villages, and what if they took hostility? She wasn't sure, but it was always best to expect anything. Then again, she always over thought things, she was probably just making herself paranoid, and thats the reason why she rarely got involved with anything.

As akane looked through the stall of scarfs, she as in deep thought, like usual. Thats one thing that probably never change about her. Though her train of thought broke as she sensed someone approach her from behind. Before the child got close she turned so her side was towards the individual that was close, but she only turned enough so she could watch from the corner of her eye. To her surprise it was just a child, a boy who grabbed her skin and tugged. It was probably bad to let her guard down, but she didn't think that a child could do her much harm, even if he tried.

Akane turned fully towards the boy, right after he tugged on her, she gave him a large grin, and leaned down a little. He had some questions for her, and she couldn't help but find joy in hearing a child's curiosity. She did question his attire in this heat, but maybe he was cold blooded? "Hello there, I don't mind answering questions for a curious mind." She explained. He seemed young, maybe he was a new gennin, or still an academy student. Or maybe he was just a normal citizen, but she'd probably find out soon enough.

"But before that, my name is Shinrya Akane, may I ask your name? Akane asked in return, maybe he didn't want a name, but she wanted his. He'd probably give it to her anyways, at least thats what she would expect.

Yanjirou would wait until Akane was finished introducing herself before he started speaking, "Curious? I think I prefer inquisitive.." The boy said with a small smile, taking another step forward to avoid any, "what did you say?"s "My name is Byakko Yanjirou." This introduction was given with a formal bow, and once he was upright once more, he would examine the girl once more, just to make sure the question he would ask was the one he had originally. He had no problem giving a foreigner his surname, as they likely wouldn't realize how important it was within Sunagakure.

"So, my first question is more of a personal one I suppose: Do you dress like that in lightning country as well? It may not sound serious, but it's important for my follow up question." He would pause for a moment, allowing her to give any reaction she wants before he continued, "If you do, then is there some technique you use to stay warm? Do you harness the power of the fire element to heat yourself? Or perhaps vapor to produce a warm mist? I find it hard to believe that someone so scantily dressed in such a cold country without being at least a little be uncomfortable." His desire for knowledge prevented Yanji from noticing that he might be coming off as rude by so bluntly saying that this woman was scantily clad, but it mattered not to him, so long as he got his answers anyways. If she walked away, he may have to visualize the entire conversation to learn what went wrong.

Once his questions were answered, if he didn't offend her too much, he would continue asking other questions that he had about Kumogakure, "For my second set of questions, what is the country itself like? Laws, culture, wildlife, I want to know everything you know about your own country and village. I do plan on visiting myself - in the future of course - but it doesn't hurt to be prepared before going." He explained, his eyes continuing to glow brighter the more curious he became.

"And on the subject of culture, is there more than one religion? I am aware of the worship of Shinbatsu, but I am also aware that there are countries which allow multiple gods to be worshiped without punishment." Even more questions began popping into his head as he continued asking, an almost endless amount, and the boy still had yet to realize how many he'd already asked. But that didn't matter to him, "Ah yes, what secret techniques are you aware of? Or even languages or texts that are kept hidden from foreigners? Tell me only what you are able, I wouldn't want such a nice woman to be imprisoned, or killed, or anything." The simple fact that she was entertaining the boy made him start to like her. Not many people would stick with him for this long into his interrogation, usually feeling like their privacy was being invaded by the cat-eared boy. Thankfully, with his last comment, he realized how many questions he had already asked.

"My apologies, by the way, I tend to get ahead of myself when people agree to answer my questions." The young Byakko grinned, allowing Akane a break if she needed it.
