Name: Kaede
Age: 8
Race: Earthborne Elemental
Gender: Male
Sex: Male
Rank: Academy Student
General Description: Kaede stands at a height at five feet and five inches, which is both remarkable yet not. His brown-skinned physique is one of a trained shinobi, even if he hasn’t completed his training. The boy's shoulders are somewhat broad and well-defined, causing his torso to form an athletic ‘V’ shape as his waist is slimmer. His arms and legs are slightly thick, his musculature balanced from an even, professionally created training regime. A rather handsome young boy, his diamond-shaped visage is crafted of high cheekbones, a slightly thick nose, and a strong, sharply defined jaw that leads to an equally built, thougjh chin. His rather dark lips are somewhat thick, firm, and shapely. Glowing teal strips lie upon his right side: going from his cheek down to his neck, fading into his skin at his collarbone. He has short, dark brown hair, the sides and back shaved low while the top is a little longer and poofy.
A peaceful individual, Kaede nearly breezes through life with a nonchalance that could only be gained from the earth itself. Much like it, he's quite resolute and firm, determined to not allow anyone knock him over while somehow keeping a generally peaceful demeanor. While many would think that this makes him a frequent day-dreamer, that couldn't be farther from the truth; in fact, he's never day-dreamed once in his life, perpetually down to Earth and fully aware of things happening about him.
However, even his calm has a limit. Able to be slowly weathered down, his anger, while rare, is terrifying to behold, even if he is nothing more than an Academy Student. He lashes out at anything an everything, even those he calls friends, having been shoved temporarily into a one-track mentality. He becomes as much as a force of destruction as he possibly can, until he exhausts himself or he runs out of things to destroy.
History: An experiment gone wrong yet incredibly right, Kaede was once nothing but a pile of lifeless dirt underneath a maple tree in the forest. It was from there that Ken Ruiychi, a lonesome Dark Sage only looking for companionship in some form, extracted the earth's essence and took it back home, along with a few hundred pounds of dirt, rock, and minerals, having unearthed the tree entirely. The slightly crazed man worked using the essence for nearly the rest of his life, growing madder and madder in his unhealthy drive to make new life. It took fifty years before the sounds of a crying baby pierced his dark home.
Though far younger and more human than he meant the creature to be, it was alive. Kicking, screaming, and flailing as if it had been borne like any other child in the world. At first, the thing looked merely like a collection of rocks taken a humanoid form, but as the years passed and the two became closer, Kaede (named after the maple tree) began to look more and more like his creator, until he was nothing but a younger version.
Since the moment he could comprehend words, he knew what he was, and how he was so different from the other children in Kumogakure. Yet, he didn't resent Ken at all for it; on the contrary, it made him love the old Sage even more, and their bond as father and son strengthened until, naturally, Ken felt it was time for Kaede began learning to fight for himself and for his village.
