Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

RP for all the things: [For all abilities and AEs]
It was your typical, sun-less day within the underground prison that was called Sunagakure No Sato. They were a village that took their name a bit too literally, in the mind of the young Warrior-Priest, being hidden in the sand did not mean they had to be hidden from the sun as well. He craved the feeling of the warm rays upon his flesh, but would have to travel many miles to even feel that without also feeling the sharp sands of the Maelstrom peel away at his flesh.

While Kagai had been gifted with an above-natural healing ability since birth, most minor cuts, scratches and bruises healing within moments of being issued, he would not be able to survive such a thing without protection, which would defeat the purpose of going up in the first place, and so he remained down here, imprisoned, waiting for the chance to leave on a long mission outside of the villages borders. In the mean time, the young warrior-priest would bide his time by preparing his body, scalping it and perfecting it to become the best that it could be for Lord Kojin, the Bringer of Fire.

It had been almost 3 years since that faithful day when he got lost out in the maelstrom and was guided back to safety by the golden light of Kojin, and it has been equally as long since he has dedicated his life in service to the deity, knowing in his heart and mind that Kojin was the true savior of the world. He spoke to Kagai, how he did not know, but he could always hear the voice of Kojin within his mind, whispering to him tales of the past when he walked the planet in physical form, telling him stories of his loyal Seraphim, guiding him to books and various scrolls that would further prove his existence to the young Kagai, further indoctrinating his young mind.

As young Kagai grew, he would come to find out a good many things about himself and the way his body seemed to work. The advanced healing was a boon he figured out pretty quickly, as it was a little boys prerogative to play rough with his friends and what not, obtaining a good many scrapes and bruises. This wasn't a big deal, seeing as his parents were both Medical Shinobi, and they were the first to see how quickly he seemed to heal after injury, and even sicknesses that would normally have a child laid up in bed for a week or two, Kagai would be up and about within a few days at most.

Going through the academy, there were also some rather interesting things he, his parents and teachers would grow to discover about the boy. Unconsciously, sometimes anyways, when he would begin to mold his chakra for whatever purpose, his body would become illuminated within a golden aura that seemed to lap at the air like flames dancing in the wind. While not a rare occurrence, it gave some insight into the boys possible future of being heavy on chakra-based techniques, which made his parents even happier as Med-Nins did require a large pool of chakra to be effective. But, there was a slight hitch, because Med-Nin also required to have precise control over their chakra, and Kagai could barely control himself half the time, let alone his chakra.

While control over his chakra and temper was low on his scale, there was one thing he could control with almost masterful precision even from a young age. As was expected, when Kagai tested to see what his natural chakra affinity was, it was fire. This came to no surprise to anyone that knew him well enough what so ever. When he was taught his first, very basic Fire Ninjutsu to compliment and practice the use of his natural element, he showcased an ability to shape and mold the fire in ways that would take normal shinobi years of affinity training to do. The flames seemed to bend to his will, and he enjoyed every moment of it.

That was another thing about Kagai. He was almost obsessed with Fire even at this age, wanting to learn all about it, learn every Fire-based Ninjutsu he could and when he was allowed to learn another, he would practice it until he nearly passed out, which lead to him mastering these jutsu rather quickly. The backyard of his family home would be riddled with scorch marks and burns from his obsessive training, much to the annoyance of his parents.

On top of all of this, Kagai was showing promise as a hand-to-hand specialist. He had never taken to any sort of weaponry, even the basics such as swords, daggers or even the various types of projectiles. Whenever a sparring session was erected, he would opt to fight with either his bare hands or a pair of gloves, nothing more. There was a darkness in him, however, that would further seem to steer him away from the profession his parents wished him to have, and that was the apparent 'rage' he would fall under at the sight of blood.

It was more common for people to become sickened at the sight of blood, or perhaps even be afraid of it to a point, but there were some cases of people, when in the midst of battle, would become taken by an almost berserker-like rage at the sight of blood, either their own or the other persons. These type of people were hardly seen in the back with the med-nins, these were the individuals in the front lines, enjoying the battle, coating themselves in blood to both sate their craving and strike fear into their opponents. This was shown in Kagai when one of the students had managed to strike him accidentally across the face with a Bokken, causing a bit of blood to trickle from his lip. Once Kagai had seen it, a wicked grin had come over his face and he charged the young man with demonic fury, tackling him to the ground and punching him in the face multiple times before he was pulled off by his instructors, laughing sinisterly until he had calmed down, and apologized to the boy, knowing that it was an accident.

Despite all the signs to the contrary, his parents still had hope that he'd be a Medic, or at the very least a Combat Medic, and thus had took it upon themselves to teach him, outside of the academy, the workings of the human body. The desired effect was to prepare him for Medical Schooling after graduating from the academy, but the only thing they were succeeding in doing was teaching Kagai where to strike more efficiently, pressure points to exploit, natural weaknesses in the human frame that would allow him to snap bones with minimal effort or cause temporary, maybe even permanent, paralysis if done right. While this was the last thing on his mind at the time, he would certainly come to appreciate it later on.

When it almost came time to graduate from the academy, one of Kagai's instructors, whom was also a gifted fire-user by the name of Ayaka, would pass on to him a bit of knowledge that she had acquired around his age. Taking him under her wing, she would inform him that not only were there diverse and numerous Taijutsu Styles one could learn, there were also many different Chakra styles, which acted in a similar way that fighting styles did. Just as Taijutsu Styles were used to teach a person more efficient ways of utilizing their body in combat, this would teach Kagai how to utilize his fire more efficiently, and with his sloppy control, he'd need every bit of efficiency he could get, if not for his sake, for the sake of those around him.

It was theorized that the erratic nature of Kagai's chakra seemed to be the reason he had trouble controlling it most of the time, that while his chakra was just a bit more "raw power" than his body was able to fully handle, and while most times he'd only mean to release a certain amount, it would gush out from him and either cause the technique he was attempting to do to just fail completely, or become unpredictable and dangerous even to him. But, over trial and error, Kagai had learned to anticipate this and use it to his advantage, using this to 'beef' up the jutsu instead of cause it to fail or become unpredictable. Doing this seemed to increase the strength of the jutsu, making it a bigger version of its normal self.

When Kagai had become a Chuunin, he would be allowed the knowledge of what his superiors referred to as Advanced Elements, basically what happens when one combines two 'basic' chakra natures, example being Fire and Pure Chakra. The end result in such a combination seemed to erase the actual flame of fire, leaving only the invisible heat, which would be deadly if not prepared for. There appeared to be other such combinations as Kagai would look into it, finding out that there was an advanced element for each possible combination of basic elemental affinities for Fire, and Kagai would task himself to learning each and every one he could to fuel his obsession for the flame. "Scorch" as it was called, that being the combination of Fire and Pure Chakra, would be the first on his list.

It was a long and tedious process, one of the toughest things Kagai had ever had to do. With someone with such a lack of control as it was, trying not only to balance the amount of chakra, but also mold each so that they seamlessly blend into each other seemed damn-near impossible to the young ANBU, but he was thick-headed, stubborn and determined, which would cause him to pass out many a-times in the training grounds of the Academy, having moved out from his parents house upon graduation and having chosen ANBU over Medic, much to their disappointment.

Eventually, after a long while, he would manage to do it, not only successfully learning to mold "Scorch" Chakra, but also "Kinetic" Chakra by mixing his Fire with Wind, which was somewhat similar to Scorch, as it was an invisible force, but seemed more based upon movement.
