Naohiro stands at 4’2” inches tall and weighs in at 73 lbs. The boy has a large clump of messy white hair and green eyes, the colour of his eyes is often hidden however behind contact lenses and other costumes. The boy has a lithe frame from his time trying to perform aerial circus stunts, with only minor muscles that are hidden beneath his clothing.
The young boys attire often changes day by day as his tastes differ. He often prefers to go for brighter coloured clothing when standing infront of an audience or when he intends to do a show but when with friends the boy has at times been known to stick with only basic robes and refineries.
Mental Description:
Naohiro is a rebellious sort with a strong personality. The street performing child keeps to a smiling face in most moments of his day, his desire to always stand out being no small part to the boys smile. While rebellious to anything above him, Naohiro tends to be friendlier and more open to those close to him.
When not dealing with people one on one, Naohiro will almost always stick to his vibrant attitude that he attained from his life performing. He dislikes the idea of losing value in the eyes of the crowd and gets quickly distracted in his attempts to appease the crowd.
History:
Born as the only child, Naohiro was the son of a circus leader and an herbal medicine seller. The young boy lived a life on the roads, journeying with his family to each new circus spot. At a young age, Naohiro had to develop his charm, while too young for the circus, the boy found use helping his mother sell herbal medicine nearby the circus grounds.
It wasn’t until the age of 6 that Naohiro could finally join the circus proper as his father has. The boy was a natural in many aspects, being able to leap and bound through hoops like a professional, while picking up on his fathers’ talents as an organiser. It seemed almost certain the young boy would eventually take his father’s place in the circus once he was of age. It was as perfect a life as Naohiro could ask for, the young boy loving the eyes of the audience on his every move when he performed. The perfect life didn’t last long however, as eventually Naohiro watched as his mother was arrested by the town’s local guards. It turned out that the medicinal herbs sold were illegal in the land, and when his father got mad and attempted to intervene, in a somewhat violent manner, he too was arrested.
The removal of his father left the circus in disarray, and with its collapse, the 8-year-old Naohiro journeyed towards Cloud itself. If he was going to be alone for some time, he might as well see some sights he thought. After the boy got into the village, namely by hiding within a barrel of fish, he got to work attempting to find a way to survive. The boy’s talents led him to become a street performer, leaping about and performing wild tricks to the audience in return for small amounts of yen. With the yen he gathered from performing, and a supplement more he attained by stealing from unfocused pedestrians; Naohiro managed to rent a room in one of the local inns.
While this style of life kept Naohiro alive and healthy, he wasn’t thriving. So, when he reached the age of 10, the young boy decided to sign up for the shinobi academy. He felt the life of a shinobi would be enough to fill the hole that was missing from his time in the circus.
Bloodline Application: Applying for Temporal Strider core ability
The young boy wasn’t entirely sure why it manifested, and what exactly it was, but at the age 8 Naohiro began to manifest attributes of a temporal strider. The first realisation was when he began noticing things happening before they occurred, the young boy walking into more then a few doors in confusion while also at times not even noticing things for minutes before his eyes caught on. At first, he thought it was some form of disease, that his reactions were getting shot. This fear felt like reality, as the boy would at times practice on the road, performing tricks that used to be mundane to him, before slamming into the pavement. He couldn’t react to things right, everything was too fast or too slow and he couldn’t make sense of any of it.
This fear almost led the grinning performer to a depression spiral, finding frustration in the idea that he may lose on his favourite talents. Passing by it, the boy needed to take his anger out with something, and the answer was music. The boy found a broken guitar in a dumpster during his journey to Cloud, and after weeks of trying he managed to repair the broken strings and begin playing. As he suspected, his affliction affected even this, his music playing crudely and horribly off tune. He pressed on regardless however, and eventually something different happened. As the boy continued to try and attune to the music, he linked to something new. The perceptions of time that slowed and sped, he could change it, it just took a tug. It time, but by the time Naohiro had reached Cloud itself, he had not managed to cure the affliction, but thrive with it.
As he practiced, moving on from just music to his actual performances, he began to work with his newfound abilities. Being able to reverse the minor injuries he took, rejuvenating them as if they had never occurred. Looping things forward, actions he had already done occurring seconds to minutes later. What he thought had been a curse was a blessing, as the young boys performances only got better and better as the crowds tried to understand how Naohiro could do this. It was only upon his own research did he finally learn the name, temporal strider.
By the time Naohiro had reached the academy, he may of only been a novice at what he could do, but he felt as if he could take on the world anyway.
