Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Name: Kagetsu Miyako
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Sex: Female
Rank: Genin
General Description: While not particularly imposing in stature there are few who can say that Miyako is easily ignored when she doesn't want to be. She's a small thing even for her age but with skin that's almost snow white, hair that's not only raven black but nearly as long as she is tall and eyes a unique shade of bright yellow it's natural she stand out just a bit. If her natural appearance didn't demand your attention then her eccentric style of dress is practically screaming for it. Her usual outfit stands out as something not fitting the style of the Cloud much less the Lightning Country as a whole, a frilly and eccentric design called 'gothic lolita'. Her usual ensemble consists of a one piece with a trailing skirt, a button up jacket with frilled cuffs, fingerless gloves, stockings and fur trimmed boots with almost every article of clothing absolutely covered in red ribbons of every conceivable size ranging from the tiny ones adorning her lapel to the two massive ones used to keep her hair in two long tail braids. She ties it altogether with touches of make-up; faint pink blush on her cheeks, pale red lipstick and dark, rose red finger nails. Even among her less than traditional wardrobe the inclusion of an black silk eye patch with a red rose decal -- on a girl with two perfectly working eyes -- is odder still.

As expected of one who bares the name Kagetsu, Miyako is quite the haughty individual. Towards her clan she is, at least in her mind, the epitome of what a dignified, high standing woman of Kumogakure should be. She practices all the proper manners and etiquette, humbling herself before her elders though showing off enough cleverness and sharp wit to prove that she's not just a subservient underling with no motivation to gain power. More outstanding than her cleverness is her pure intellect, standing out among her family and peers as someone with a quick witted bear trap of a mind. Along with her behavior and intellect is a degree of mundane talents, namely singing and string instruments. This perfect attitude of a young lady transmutes into something far less present in public among more common folks. She comes off as smug, flippant and overall arrogant in her approach. It's clear as day she's taken an elitist stance towards the rest of her village's shinobi. Whether she's just teasing or downright hurtful in her intentions is hard to say and often up to the person she's tormenting in question. She does have a playful nature to her, teasing and poking at the expense of others but there's an underlying sadism not unlike a cat who has a little too much fun playing with it's food. She's quick to brush off most insults or counter arguments as either being weak or not worth acknowledging but the mention of her adopted status is one of the few triggers she has to elicit genuine rage. She's vindictive by nature, taking any slight personally and bidding her time to get back at the transgressor whenever it's most opportune to. Her calculating nature means this is often a very unpleasant experience.

History: The circumstances of Miyako's birth and who her parents ever were will likely remain a mystery for her the rest of her life. They were certainly not native to Kumogakure or perhaps even the country itself. Nobody, especially Miyako herself, have ever bothered to look much more into it. What is known is that a young man of the Kagetsu clan happened upon two bodies high up in the mountains, not too terribly far from the village. The man and woman had clearly died of exposure, their clothes clearly not meant for such weather and some of what little they had to wear wrapped around the baby clutched between them whom still clung to a ragged, pale faced china doll.

The child was brought back to the village and managed to survive what exposure she'd endured by some miracle. Once it was assured that the child wouldn't die the debate within the clan began. Some didn't think anything of the child, considering it a waste of their efforts and a bad mark on their reputation to take in a random, foreign stray simply because one of their own had found her. Some questioned whether it was wise to keep her in the village at all; the identity of the parents was unknown and it could be just as likely she was a child of nobodies as much as she could be from a family of some import. The argument that won out at the end of the day was that of the pragmatic. If the child was raised for a few years and proved to have no talent and thus no place within the Kagetsu then she could simply be dropped off as the orphan she was and let the village's civilians deal with her. If they found her to be something of value then she'd be an unexpected gift to greater their glory.

Their patience proved fruitful. Raised by the very man who'd found her and his wife and given the name Miyako [ beautiful night ] after her dark black hair, she grew up with the same strict tutelage of her peers and was found to be uniquely talented. Even before showing potential as a shinobi she proved to be an unusually bright child, often thinking at a level a year or two above someone her age. The fruits of their labor truly blossomed when they discovered that she was in possession of a kekkai genkai that was rare in the Lightning Country, much less the village: the shadow weaving techniques of the Fire Country's Nara clan.

The moment her potential was acknowledged there was no more barrier between herself and the clan. The thick tension between herself and her elders vanished the moment she showed promise and from then on she was seen as nothing more than another honorable child of the Kagetsu. The pressure she had never fully understood vanished and in comparison to the strict code and expectations of the clan it was a relief. Of course the more comfortable the grew the more she stepped out of her little bubble. She became more filled with life and energy, growing her own passions instead of simply doing what the clan wished of her at every moment just to gain their approval.

It was shortly before her introduction to the academy that her rather unusual fashion sense came to be. The old, slightly cracked pale skinned doll she'd been found with had never left her side for long and much of her adoration for it came from it's strange little outfit. It was far from traditional but with pleading from her parents who'd come to think of her as their own child they buckled before long and hired some of the villages tailors to help put together some outfits according to her very specific desires.

Like any good Kagetsu the academy was more of a formality than anything. The greater struggle during her school time wasn't the lessons but the people. She'd grown so accustomed to her clan that that blatant lack of talent, sense or manners some of these children had put her on edge. Any time she brought it up with her clan only led to conversations that began to bolster her growing elitism. By the end of the year she'd made no friends and was glad for it, scoring some of the highest marks of her class and lacking any humility in this fact. With her graduation only recently come to pass she hopes to prove herself an equal to her clansmen and superior to everyone else out in the field proper.
