Name: Kamizuki Izuru
Age: 10
Physical Description:
Lacking the necessary outside activity, Izuru himself has unnatural pale skin and slim body shape for the children of his age. He is a kid that you would rarely notice in a group of children, due to his average height of 137 cm and slim build weighting 32 kg. The only thing that would be noticeable, is his spiky hair that he doesn't seem to be able to tame. Having given up on remotely going for any hairstyle except for what he calls the "stalagmit-look", he hides his hair in a hoodie most of the time.
Mental Description:
The hoodie doesn't just hide his horrible hair, but also his ability to perceive information with his five sense. It allows him to block out most of the information and eases his brain into focusing his perception only to his line of sight.
Izuru posseses an unnormal amount of curiosity. This curiosity even overshadows his common sense and social norm. If something really peaks his interest, may it be socially accepted or not, he will try to gain the knowledge in any way possible. He is impaired to any kind of empathy or remorse in front of the satisfaction of knowledge.
Aside from his hunger for knowledge, he is rather timid and awkward child. Not fully understanding social cues leads him into a lot of funny and unique conversations.
History:
Shinobi's are the villages pride and glory; military might and security. In the hierachy of the Shinobi world those with power will be respected. And on top of that pyramid of power, presides various clans with exceptional ability that bestowed an impeccable status over them. To maintain this status a certain competition between generation is necessary. The weak will be filtered out and be destined to take over the clan's minor businesses as a branch family. The strong keeps striving for higher power and the benefits that comes with it. This tradition uphold since the founding of the shinobi era. This tradition influences not only the shinobi world, but also ordinary people, businesses, services and entertainment.
The household of Kamizuki was one of those ordinary family that has adapted to this form of hierachy. Izuru's father, Koreyoshi, being the 4th son of the head of the merchant clan was, due to lack of passion for trade and travel, arranged to be taking over a library and book store in the corner of the village and to live out the rest of his life and be exempt from any family ties.
Since the library and book store already had a housekeeper that organized every detail, Izuru's father spent his days being drunk. Until one day he vanished into thin air without a word or trace. Even though it was bizarre, but not unheard of. The gossip was that either a rival family decided to vent their anger on the now unimportant son or that the rightful sucessor of the family decided to get rid of the families disgrace and potential competitor, to strengthen his position within the family.
15 years have passed without a conclusion of the disappearance of Koreyoshi. It was a chilly night when the story took a turn. The loyal housekeeper from 15 years ago was about to close the library for the night when a woman and man stumbled into the library, crashing into the wooden floor. The man was visibly injured, bleeding all over the place. Still in shock the housekeeper finally realized that the injured man was the owner of this place 15 years ago. Koreyoshi has returned.
Later that same night the head of the main family, Izuru's grandfather Kiyotomo, came over to find out what happened to his son the past 15 years. The very next day all information of Koreyoshi eventful return had been sealed off. The official statement from the family was, that Koreyoshi was sent off to tend to some business for the past 15 years outside the country. The woman that he brought back was his newly-wed wife Kasumi that he had met during his trip. Only a handful people in the family really knew what had happened that day. Rumors started to spread, but Koreyoshi and Kasumi started to spend their ordinary days in the library.
Soon Kasumi became pregnant and gave birth to Izuru. The joy that Izuru brought into their stale everyday life was immeasurable. Especially teaching him how to walk, how to talk and how to read sparked immense happiness to the parent. All they ever wished for their son, is to be happy and lead an ordinary life. Not having to go through hardship and harm was bliss in their eyes. However, people around them started to realize that something was odd with that kid. At first it was just normal imitating like every small child would do, then it was speech followed by constant questioning. Every day that passed the question of Izuru were getting more and more complex. By the age of 6 he could articulate like an adult. This behavior lead to different reactions. Some praised him as a child prodigy, some looked at him with tainted eyes like he was some kind of a monster. Either way made it nearly impossible for him to find friends of the same age, so he spent most of his time holed up in his families library, reading. The stories of shinobi's especially intrigued him.
By the age of ten he decided to enroll in the ninja academy to find out more of the world he had read and fantasized so much about. After several fights with his parents that didn't like this dangerous idea one bit, they yielded and decided it was time to let their child go. At the entrance to the academy his father handed him an ancient-looking book with the title "Tenman" and urged him to carry it with him at all times. After opening the book, the obvious confusion could be seen on Izuru's face. The book was empty.
"You will find out soon enough, what's written in there"
After those words that didn't make any sense at the given time, he started his first step into the shinobi world.
[OoC: Origin story complete. I can't believe Ninpocho is still here after over 10 years. Sadly i can't revive my old character from the old forums. Glad to be back though.]
