Physical Description:
Kanmaru is an extremely healthy, athletic boy who stands at 4’2 (130 cm)and weighs an impressive 90 pounds (42 kg). His skin is a pale, sandy color and extremely rough to the point where it feels like a mix between sandpaper and rocks. Being athletic, his muscles are very toned as he is very lean despite his muscular size. Kanmaru’s face is very sharp looking due to his low percentage of body-fat and his eyes are a scarlet red. His eyebrows and hair, which is cut short and only allowed to grow to ear-length, are both light pink. Because of his background. Kanmaru has deep, straight scars all over his back and upper body.
Mental Description:
Kanmaru suffers from psychological tunnel vision. Everything he does is for his one goal, strength. Although, strength isn’t really Kanmaru’s goal. His subconscious is so clouded with darkness and anger that it prevents him from thinking about his true goal, death. Kanmaru, at his essence, wants to die. He wants to die so badly, but he’s a coward. He cannot kill himself, so he’s convinced himself that what he truly wants is strength. His false journey for strength has led him to sacrifice any and everything for power, even if it meant his humanity at a young age. Because of this, he’s a very antisocial guy. He will use anything that will make him stronger and will fight any strong opponent that comes his way even if he way outclassed which is an obvious display of his tendency to be reckless. His false notion for strength is always driven by his innate desire to die. His innate desire for his life to end. As a consequence, Kanmaru has no morals. If switching sides increases his chances of fighting a strong opponent, and he subconsciously knows that his chance of death is high, he will change sides without hesitation.
History:
Kanmuri was the first successful birth of two ordinary civilians from the Hidden Cloud. Despite both parents being children of shinobi, Kanmuri’s parents were just talentless and their lack of passion for being ninja forced them to live an ordinary life-an ordinary life that they were happy with. However, their ordinary life was always full of trials. Trials that would lead them unordinary decision. Those unorthodox decisions would have dire consequences.
Upon Kanmuri’s parents falling in love and marrying, the two instantly tried to conceive children. However, Kanmuri’s mother was plagued with miscarriages. Despite this, the pair never lost hope. Their love for each other was all they needed, or so they thought. Although the pair was convinced that love was all they needed, they never stopped trying to conceive a child. Because of this, the miscarriages never ended. In fact, they would continue for 7 years straight.
After those seven years of continuously, consecutive miscarriages, the pair began to worry. Questions began to flood their head. Would they ever be able to have a child? Was something wrong with one of them? Would their relationship hold? As their doubts began to surface, Kanmuri’s father decided that his wife should be checked and possibly healed by the best medical ninja at the time in the Hidden Cloud. Upon reaching the clinic, Kanmuri’s mother was examined and diagnosed. She would never be able to have a child. Plain and simple, there was nothing that could be done and just like that, the hopes of Kanmuri’s parents were instantly crushed and shattered like glass hitting the floor. The child they wanted would never come. They would never be proud of someone they could call their own. There would be no graduation celebrations. Nothing awaited them, but an empty house. No child could make that better-at least no child that had their flesh and blood.
A mysterious man would see the unfortunate pair leave the clinic and walk his way towards them. He stopped them in their tracks and told them all of their problem without prior knowledge. Kanmuri’s parents were astonished to say the least. This scary, mysterious man had approached them and told them everything they were struggling with. To top it off, the man said that their problem would be solved by ingesting one pill prior to a conception attempt. Kanmuri’s parents had no reason to feel doubt. Their dreams were previously crushed, but a miracle seemed to present itself. There was no harm in trying. There was nothing that could make matters worse…
Everything turned out fine. Nine months from that day, Kanmuri was born. Upon conception, Kanmuri’s parents didn’t name him right away. They wanted to deeply think about their son’s name and something that had meaning. This son was special to them, besides the fact that his eyes were red and his hair was pink-attributes that neither parents had-this was their son. This was someone they could call their own. The pair set off on a journey of inspiration. Although considered a wasteland, the pair was drawn the the Sand village. They had a gut feeling that they would find inspiration there. Inspiration that would lead them to making the right decision.
Now, Kanmuri’s parents had no idea how to navigate the sand village. They lacked so much knowledge that they were lost in the desert for quite some time. Luckily, their food supply was holding strong, but for some reason, they were not making it to the Sand Village. They wandered and wandered and wandered until eventually they wandered too far. Having gone to the outskirts of the Sand Village, Kanmuri’s parents were unknowingly disturbing the territory of a beast. A beast that they’d never see coming.
After a few hours of traveling on the outskirts of town, the sand began to tremble vigorously. Then from behind a sandworm would cut through the gut of Kanmuri’s mother while simultaneously slicing through Kanmuri’s father. The pair died instantly leaving the unnamed child alone to cry in the heat.
A few hours passed and somehow, Kanmuri was still alive and crying. This child had caught the attention of the Kyoujoron clan due to its tenacity and they decided to take it to their clan in the Sand village. For all intents and purposes, the Kyoujoron had no intention to train Kanmuri, in fact, they hated him. Upon seeing him, he was name Kanmuri which means peerless, however, he was named this because the Kyoujoron could tell that there was no place for him in their clan. He had the red eyes of the Uchiha, but not sharingan. He was an outcast and had no home-no one who could relate to him. Thus, he was named Kanmuri.
Kanmuri was trained by the Kyoujoron from since he could walk. The elders wanted to show how special the Kyoujoron’s training methods were and how no normal human could handle them. Their test subject was Kanmuri. Kanmuri was pushed to his limits going days without food and doing harder training routines than the Kyoujoron usually did. The elders hated him as he unknowingly embarrassed them. He wasn’t as strong as the other clan members his age, but he wouldn’t die like the other clan members. He’d always survive. Death always ran away from him.
It was obvious that despite Kanmuri not having the Kyoujoron genetics, that he could barely withstand their training methods. His body showing evidence as his skin became extremely rough and tattered as his not Kyoujoron body could not always bear the stress that was hauled onto Kanmuri. More times than not, his body would seemingly deeply split, but in a few days, his body would be healed. The scars were deep and evident, but all pain would be gone. There was something extremely off with Kanmuri and the Kjoujoron elders knew it. Because of this, they tortured him.
After the age of four, the Kyoujoron elders enacted a plan to torture and eventually kill Kanmuri. They’d increase his workload by three-fold. Kanmuri couldn’t take it. His body continuously tore apart, and his bones screamed as they fractured and broke. His skin tore like wet paper, and the agony he’d feel was something out of this world. However, he was always able to somehow muster up the strength to finish-even if it wasn’t by his will. His body refused to drop dead like he wanted to. Because of that, he suffered in agony for the next four years of his life always hoping that one day his body wouldn’t heal and he’d just drop dead never to awaken again.
