Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

There was a dive bar in the city of Kurosawa that Kaori ducked into. The outside of the bar looked dank and decrepit while the inside of the bar looked the exact opposite. The bar had a modern feel to it; too modern. Hookahs lined the walls of the establishment in the well-light rooms, booths, and bar. The entirety of the bar was managed by scantily clad women wearing clothes that leave very little to the imagination. Regardless of that fact, they seemed to really enjoy their jobs. They'd greet customers as they entered and bade farewell to those that left. They'd sit with their patrons to drink with them or hold a conversation with them while they ate; all with a radiant smile upon their faces. Even with all of this, the main thing that attracted Kaori to this hole-in-the-wall was the picture of the microphone drawn in neon lights.

Kaori entered the building with two extremely busty, extremely attentive women; a blonde and a girl with purple hair (most likely dyed). Kaori waved to the two and walked passed them, making her way to the bar, ordering a couple shots and several pints of sake. She swiftly received 3 shots and enough sake to satisfy 2 people. She quickly downed the shots and grabbed the sake set and made her way to the karaoke section. This place seemed to have been ignored for the most part. Plumes of smoke bellowed in the restaurant with people puffing on the hookahs. They were mainly older business men and business women taking hits from the long-pipes, causing their own little slice of heaven to smell like their choice of flavored tobacco.

Upon reaching the corner where the karaoke machine resided, Kaori sat in front of the screen and flicked through the book until she found the song she wanted. She typed in the number of the song and pressed play. Picking up the microphone, she cleared her throat, turned the microphone on and began to sing.

The song was short and sweet. Her years of practice paid off as her voice rang through the bar like an angelic melody. This caused everyone in the bar to stop what they were doing to put all eyes on Kaori. Kaori wanted to be a singer ever since her younger days when she heard Yume sing. During those times, she was given a boom-box from Yume and she was forced to hide the piece of technology as that was considered taboo in her family; thanks to the influence of the demon residing in the Dragon Statue. Any singing other than ceremonial songs were also forbidden by the demon's edict.

After the song came to it's conclusion, the usual clammering within the bar stood-still for a brief moment. Smiling and nodding at the swift performance, she sat back down in her seat at the Karaoke corner before pouring herself sake and start to drink. Her cheeks were painted red as the alcohol began to take a firm grasp upon her.

Kurosawa was filled with people from all walks of life, much to the dismay of Sunuke as his slight fear of being caught and apprehended (despite apparently being pardoned) was still prevalent in his mind. Ducking and diving out of commercial districts and hiding amongst crows as his spiritual guide floated above him to point him in directions of safety. Konoha was still a bother to him after all these years, but maybe the pardon Yuii was given for him would help him relax.

May I can finally relax… he thought to himself as he looked around, before realising he wanted to find the least open space. Maybe one of the alleyways would have something here to relax… like a drink.

” Come on, Sunuke” he called out to the sky where his ghost was. ”We’ll go for a drink somewhere!” His pace hastened through the crowd as he realised he called to a basically invisible companion who hardly anyone would be able to see. It would just seem like he was calling out to himself. Better get going from the current situation before he drew any more attention to himself.

The walk was swift, as was his eyes that were darting back and forth as he looked for somewhere to dive into, even if it was a dive or some other bad establishment. He didn’t feel all that safe in a town where he couldn’t really draw a weapon in a world where people could cast fireballs from their mouths, or paralyze people with just their eyes. The less chance someone would do that in the open the better…

He ended up finding a run down, sort of ugly house that badly needed repair in the front. It juxtaposed the grand and magnificence that the Tea Country liked to show off, especially with the large arena. He figured that no one that was anyone would be there, and since he was nobody then he could be in there and not be seen by anybody.

He peeked inside, to find that the inside was actually more illustrious than the outside seemed to make it. The patrons seemed to be attended and adored by women with clothes that didn’t leave much to the imagination. Maybe this was a mistake, especially when Yuii had warned him many years ago about these places when he was younger and much more naïve… But the lawful didn’t usually stay in these places, and thus the lawless could hide undetected.

He brushed past the women in their clothes, making a no thank you with his hands to turn away any women who would want to assist him here. Instead he made quick movement to the bar. A drink to steady the hand from all the nerves of being out in the open would help.

The sound of music from one corner, as the Nanjirou peeked in he could see a fairly young woman with odd hair singing a solemn and moody song. Seemed like an odd chance for a karaoke, but at the same time he had heard stranger and darker songs sang in such places.

He would order from the bar the usual drink that most people seemed to drink in these kinds of places. Sake wasn’t the nicest tasting drink, and though he preferred drinks of a more herbal variety it was more important to blend in than to stand out. Of course that would be a little more difficult with the white robe garnished with a sword at his side and another weapon of some sort on the other side.

He would thank the bar staff before heading to try and find a table that was either a). empty and / or b). not full of people who would want to try and take care of him for money or other non-spiritual goods. Seemed like the only place that was either one was the one where the girl who had performed karaoke was. It was worth a shot after all.

He would walk over to the woman, sake set in hand, before bowing politely.

”Excuse me,” he started with, his accent a mix of Fire and Lightning country. ”Would you mind if I sat here? All the other seats seem full or rather… preoccupied with services. Is that okay?” He would only sit if she agreed, otherwise he would just simply return to the bar and stand around like the loner he was.

It had been only a few days after he had awoken in a room filled with only darkness, apparently having been someones house. Who had a house without a door anyway? The answer nor the question interesting Naikishin as he walked. Having cleaned up a bit, he would find himself in Tea country somehow. He could have swore he didn't take a wrong turn at Albuquerque. His weapon could be anywhere. It could be here in this City. It could still be in Sunagakure. Hell, it could even be back in Kirigakure.

He wandered through the city for a couple hours, until he walked up to what seemed to be some dump of a bar. At least, that's how the outside of it seemed. As he walked in after the annoyance of not being able to find his weapon so far got to be enough for him for the moment. As he stepped in he noticed a couple of things. The first was how the inside of the bar was quite the opposite how it seemed from the outside, but it could still be better. The second thing he noticed was he had apparently walked in when someone had decided to sing a song. The third thing, and actually most boring thing to him, was the bar was managed by women wearing very little clothing. At this point, he just hoped the alcohol was good. Walking up to bar, he'd quickly make his order. "A bottle of whatever's your strongest." He'd say, before looking around with his one good eye. His other eye staying shut considering it was still damaged and low on his priority list. His left arm and right leg were both still injured but also seemed to be around the position as his eye on his priority list. He would turn his attention as soon as he was being called by the woman who had taken his order. Noticing that she winked at him, paying the woman, he'd take the bottle that had been given to him and walk in the direction of where he had heard the woman sing as it was really the only place that wasn't too occupied.

Bumping into people as he walked by sure had given him some sour looks, especially with those trying to hit on the staff at the bar. Some even had some words to give him as he walked away but he didn't much care about them. He would notice a younger woman sitting and drinking with a man standing there, presumably talking to her. He'd sit in a seat within a couple feet of the two, hearing the man asking the woman if something was okay. "Seems like a wonderful time to drink, don't you two think?" He'd ask the two, before taking the cap off the bottle and took a quick swig of it and swallowed, feeling the burn of it as it had been a while since he had anything alcoholic. Stifling a couple coughs, he didn't expect the drink to be that strong though he didn't dislike it at all.

Kaori finished the song and quickly put one of the saucers filled with sake up to her lips and downed it. Her ancestors would roll in their grave if they saw her like this, or even drinking sake the way she did, but she was trying to cut loose; something she sorely needed due to the last several years being filled with heart-break and work. This was probably the first time she had, to herself, with any means of leisure or relaxation. She wasn't quite old enough to drink, but what's one year between friends? Kaori placed the saucer upon the table that she was at and filled it back up with the dinky bottle that it came in; only 150 mL of the stuff. It was then that a cute guy made his way to her. Her face was a light dash of pink as she was very clearly a little tipsy. He asked if he could sit there and she nodded her head and scooted a bit to the side.

She eyeballed the man for a brief moment. She wasn't sure if it was the alcohol doing it, but his accent sounded funny. "Your accent sounds funny, but you're cute so it's whatever," she said as she placed the microphone down in front of him and dropped the several hundred page paper brochure down upon his lap. It was as if she was telling him 'It's Your Turn'. She looked at him with a foxy grin across her face. "The name is Kaori. Who are you?" she asked as she held out her right hand to the man. Kaori turned and looked to all the other women, who seemed to work here as 'escorts' or 'juicy girls', working the rich men and trying to hustle them for money or drinks.

"Yeah, those girls -- don't worry about those girls. They'll just drain your wallet. Ignore those girls," she said before hiccuping. "Or am I confusing that for other bars? I don't know," she said as she turned the page of the brochure for the man named Sunuke. "Oh! That one's a good one!" she said as she pointed at one of the songs. She paused for a moment and noticed a silver-haired man standing there. She's trying to go back, through her memories, on whether or not he was standing there at the same time. "How..." she said with a slight pause.

"How long have you been standing there?" she asked. Apparently he was standing there the whole time she was pampering Sunuke and giving him all the attention. "Oops, sorry about that," she said before bursting out laughing. "It's been a while since I drank last. Have a seat, please. My name is Kaori. Oh! If you see this weird puppet guy, don't say my name around him. He's being kind of a butthole and holding my name over his head until he behaves is one way I can get the little crap to behave," she said as she looked around, hoping the one named Maru didn't actually walk in when she was introducing herself to Sunuke and Naikishin.

Kaori raised a hand and shouted. "Gimme something STRONG" she said with a rasp in her voice upon reaching the word 'strong'. With that, the women shouted out the acceptance and quickly brought over a bottle with green liquid in it. Upon the bottle, there was a picture of a fairy. Kaori blinked for a moment and just stared at it. The words 'Green Fairy' was written upon it. "Oh... Um.. Thanks," she said as her excitement drained out of her and was now replaced with bewilderment.

She eyeballed the bottle. "Any of you guys ever hear about this drink? It's green so I'm kinda afraid of it."

'Speak of the devil, and the devil will appear.’

Suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere Maru crashed through the front window of the bar instead of using the entrance that stood wide open just after Kaori spoke of some of the puppet guy. Maru rolled then knocked over a table before getting to his feet. “And he stuck the landing!” He said… only when he made his dynamic entry somehow he lost his head. So he was just standing there headless for a moment, until chakra threads connected to his missing head that had been resting in the broken glass. His head seemingly floated for a bit until it attached to his body unit on the wrong side, then quickly spun to around the right way to look Kaori in the eyes. “Oh! Hey gurrrl!” He exclaimed, brushing of broken glass from his shoulder before he struts over to where Kaori sat.

Clearly this was the puppet guy that she wanted to behave for some reason, unless there was some other puppet guy around as wild as he was. Since being in Tea Country he's gotten into a lot of stuff, looting, kidnapping, attacking the hokage, and stealing one of a kind jewelry which was something he did pretty often. Right now, his stomach was loaded with stolen jewelry, so much that every time he moved someone could hear the shifting of jewels like he was a walking treasure chest. As he stopped between both the mysterious man and Kaori, he removed his English ballroom mask then bowed. “Oh, Maru Princess Of Heart, Protector Of Love. At your service.” Maru said, before looking over at the stage. He pointed at it wondering if anyone could get up there, if this was some Karaoke thing he could get up there and sing because why not. “Aye anyone gonna get up there?”

Seemed like the younger woman didn’t seem to mind as she nodded and scooted across along the table. Sunuke would instead take another side, allowing her to scoot back into her original position that she was in. He didn’t want to cramp her space or style by sitting near an older man, but the other girls in the bar didn’t seem to mind what age would come there way.

She would place the brochure in front of the man, before he realised what this place seemed to have, and a clientele that they catered to. Karaoke was what he had heard it to be called, not that he really knew about it due to living in Kami no Rai for the longest time. Technology had developed around him and he had been oblivious to it by living in a normal village. But… singing… really?

It’s always a wonderful time to have a drink in Tea Country, whatever the weather,” Sunuke would remark top the man who called out from a table next to them.

”O-oh right! A name!” he said before his horror of having to sing was replaced y having to reveal an identity. Giving away who he was could alert the wrong kind of people. Better play it safe in front of this woman.

”My name is,” he looked around a little bit to try and find objects to help him choose a name. Hyōisuranpu…suke.” Always put the suke at the end, makes it seem more believable. ”It’s a... regional name from upstate Lightning Country.”

Delightfully Devilish, Sunuke, the Nanjirou thought to himself as he listened to woman give her name and rant about the other girls in the bar.

”It’s nice to meet you, Kaori,” he said before she grabbed the other man near them. ”And it’s nice to meet you too… er…” The man in question was tall, silvery hair, and seemingly with a damaged or lost eye considering he has it closed. ”Like I said.. Hyōisuranpu…suke.” He had to remember that last part or it would seem off.

”Puppet guy…?” Sunuke asked as the girl called for more drinks, and suddenly desire was replaced with reluctance from the drink she received. ”Like… someone who uses finger puppets? Or the weapon kind of puppets… with the weird traps and designs?”

And not a moment after the glass shattered and the head of a man rolled from the window and around the floor, before calling out that he had landed successfully. It was almost as if fate had brought Kaori’s words, and Maru’s actions together in some weird Murphy’s Law.

”Do you always have a way of summoning the wrong people at the right time?” he joked to Kaori as he figured this was who she meant. It wasn’t often that people could lose their head without having some kind of weird power, plus the strings and the floating body parts kind of gave it away.

”I was still looking, so you can go ahead Princess of Heart-san.” The more he could put off Karaoke the better his day could get, but maybe this interaction from Kaori and Maru could make this country a lot more interesting.

Drinking, what a way to dull the pain. Not what the white haired man preferred to do, but it was something. He'd heard the girl tell the other man that his accent sounded funny but since he was cute, she'd go with it. Introducing herself as Kaori and then talking about the other girls in the bar. He'd take another couple of drinks from the bottle he had until he had heard her ask him how long he had been there. She'd soon apologize about it before bursting out laughing. The girl explained herself and spoke about some puppet guy who was holding her name over his head. She'd just blink for a moment before she continued. The man would take a moment to actually look at the man and the girl that were going to apparently be his drinking buddies for the time being. The girl had soon shouted to get something strong before soon getting scared about the color of her drink.

Though out of nowhere, someone had decided to crash through the front window instead of using the door. Noticing some people leave quickly after such a poorly executed entrance wasn't shocking, and Naikishin didn't care for how the... thing decided to enter as he noticed it didn't have a head for a moment before noticing some strings had attached its head after a moment. The thing that made such a poor entrance and first impression on him had walked towards the three and removed his mask before calling itself Maru 'Princess of heart, protector of love'. Essentially ignoring the thing as it asked if anyone was going to get onto the stage a group of women who had just enough to drink to not care quickly made their way onto the stage before some type of music that started to play that he immediately didn't care for.

The three would start dancing and singing as the music played. He'd hear the guy say that his name was Hyoisuranpusuke, though it seemed a bit fishy for him. "The name's Naikishin, it's nice to meet you two." He'd say before taking a drink of his drink. "I'm sure you'll be fine after that drink, though you might just not remember anything for the rest of the night after you drink it ." He'd say.

It never failed. She couldn't go too long without talking about the annoying puppet without him quickly on her coat-tails. A parasite or some other bug was less clingy and less obnoxious. The ladies that managed the bar, as well as every other faceless patron, stopped what they were doing and turned to look at the source of the loud crashing noise. "What are, fuwakin' stupid!" one of the older gentlemen, being tended-to by a group of beautiful, scantily-clad bunny-girls said, shouting to Maru. Kaori simply shook her head and placed a hand upon her forehead. "That's the idiot I was talking about," she said to the group of 2 men that took their seat near Kaori. She scooted back to where she was after the man addressing himself as 'chair-desk-lamp-spill-asshole' denied her her request to have him sit next to her.

She smiled at 'chair-desk-lamp-spill-asshole' and nodded her head. A look of confusion was apparent through the thinly-veiled smile she put on. "Mind if I call you 'Ranpu' for short?" she asked. There was no-way she was going to remember all of that. 'Ranpu' was ten-times easier to remember and say. When he said he came from up-state Lightning Country, Kaori's eyes perked up for a moment and her interest was piqued. "Go on. Please tell me more!" she said with earnest enthusiasm. She wanted to go there one-day and hoped that Yomi would take her there after she gets around to bringing her back. Currently, Yomi is resting at the inn that she had made accommodations for prior to meeting the gloriously fabulous puppet.

After Maru's entrance a group of the girls walked out with janitorial equipment and started to clean up Maru's aftermath. While he thought the entrance was cool and cute, the people at the bar didn't think that way. The older woman started to write up an invoice before pressing a finger onto her temples to take a screenshot of Maru's face. After she finished writing up the invoice, another woman walked by, grabbed the invoice and tapped Maru's shoulders, serving him with a 300,000 Yen invoice. It wasn't a normal window he smashed, it must've been some kind of foreign material that was used. "You better pay up, chump! Or we're going to kick you right out!" the busty bunny-girl shouted out with her anger causing her breasts to jiggle with each of her jerky motions.

Kaori turned her head back towards 'chair-desk-lamp-spill-asshole' and smiled. A cute guy was talking to her and she started to get flustered, though she refused to show it. "Ignore him. He has mechanical parts and isn't human on the outside," she said, pantamiming the act of gears turning with her fingertips. "Don't remind me. He's smitten with me for some god-awful reason. He doesn't even have the hormones, so I don't know why he likes me so much," she said as she turned her head to cough. Her breasts jiggled a bit as her chest pulsated for a moment from the cough. Perhaps that was the reason.

Maru ended up speaking once again as Kaori wiggled her finger at him and then to the busty bunny-girl trying to get his attention. "What did I say about being a good dog?" she asked. He didn't seem to dislike the entire notion that she is treating him like a lowly pet; actually he probably enjoys it and gets off to it. It was then that a group of women went up on the stage, storming it like a new battlefield had emerged, and started doing this silly dance. It was hypnotic but it wasn't quite her taste. She only had eyes on one woman and she was busy sleeping in the inn.

The silver-haired man addressed himself as Naikishin. At least this guy's parents didn't hate him. "Nice to meet you, Naikishin," she said as she turned and gave him a big, bright smile. He, too, was cute in his own right. He wasn't loud nor did he seem to speak much. The strong and silent types were the kind that Kaori liked as well as the well-journeyed, rugged, handsome types. She felt like she was experiencing quite a lot of fanservice at the moment; and then there was Maru. Kaori stood up and reached over to the bottle that Naikishin had and slammed it down, licking her lips and slamming the bottle on the table. She took a deep breath in, feeling the burning of the alcohol flowing into her gut. She felt it's entire journey through her throat, into her stomach, through her liver and kidneys, and even into her intestines. That was some POTENT stuff. After the big swig, she slid it back over to Naikishin and her tipsy feeling turned into drunk.

Her face grew a bright red blush and she started to hiccup. "Well, if 'Robo-bitch' is going to be hanging around *hic* might as well find the little annoying shit *hic* a song to sing! *hic*" she shouted out; obviously that was the alcohol starting to influence her. She reached over to the karaoke book and flipped through the song list and grabbed her mic and tossed it over at maru. "Hey, 'Robo-bitch'. *hic* How about this? If you *hic* behave, pay your *hic* bill, and sing all the songs I *hic* want you to sing, and I'll *hic* show you my..." she said as her head started to spin a bit, causing her to put a hand up to her head.

She turned to Naikishin and then eyeballed that bottle that she took a swig out of. "Damn! You weren't kidding! That stuff is STRONG!!" she said before turning to look towards Maru. "My name... *hic*"

He strolled over closer to his beloved Kaori, holding both hands together the puppet master swayed from side to side, seemingly not offended by being called or treated as a pet. Nor did he take offense to being called mechanical, in a weird kind of way he kinda liked her tough personality despite her being mostly hostile towards him. “Awwe common pumpkin pie. You know you're the most hottest gurl I've seen. You're irresistible.” he said swaying, despite all the talk about his entrance. Although he looked at his entrance as dynamic, some people didn't see it that way. In all actuality some people even called him stupid for doing it, flicking broken glass out of his hair he gave a goofy smile, giving Kaori a slight shrug. “But I have been being good. I mean, it was better than my first option which was to Supernova the entrance and say…” he gestured his hand to himself, then striked a fierce pose with one hand on his hip. “THE PRINCESS OF HEART HAS ENTERED.” He said before quickly snapped his head around to the woman who tapped him with a death glare. “Fat,Old, Ugly people need to get….. ♥~Oooooooh My bad.”He changed his tune when he saw how attractive the woman was despite being angry.

The angry.. Stripper? Escort? Gave Maru a bill for his dynamic entrance was gonna cost him 300,000 yen, which was a ridiculous amount of money for a window that could easily be broken. He gave the woman a sharp stare as if he didn't believe the window cost that much. "Does this come with a lap dance or something? Because 300,000 yen seems a bit much for one window. I mean this isn't even a high class place.”Attractive or not he wasn't about to open his stomach then give out his money that he worked hard for with his honest living of being a thief. It's not that he didn't have it, it just felt like he was being cheated. He looked over at Kaori again who who seemingly took a huge swig out of a weird looking bottle, it was a shame that he couldn't drink since his body was artificial.. He missed being able to drink poison mostly, dreams wrath being his favorite because it triggered a chemical that allows you to be afraid. It was sweet being scared.

After Kaori took a large gulp out of her drink, she looked a little tipsy. She gave him a new name of Robo-Bitch too which made him chuckle.“Neee HeeHee! So what you're saying is that if I pay this high ass bill, behave, and sing whatever you want you're gonna throw your “ Robo-Bitch “ a bone, right?” He chuckled, deciding that he was up for it. What Maru saw as him being in love, most people would see as him being really thirsty since he would literally do anything that Kaori would tell him to do regardless of what it was. Without an argument he lifted his shirt to open up his hallowed out stomach to pull out a small bag of yen then tossed it at the bunny woman, of course while his stomach was open some could see jewelry, rings, gems, and gold filled the inside of his puppet body like a treasure chest from the waist down before closing the hatch to his stomach.

He grabbed the mic then strolled over to the stage, hopping onto it before spinning around then happily announced. “Howdy! Its Maru, Princess of Heart Protector of Love and I got a song picked out by my future Ex Wife……. ♥~Sugar~♥!” He said gesturing the mic at Kaori, then blew her a quick kiss before his song played and he proceeded to sing to it.

A resounding SLAP could be heard throughout the bar causing everyone to fall into a hush. The sound was more of a 'THUD' or a 'TING' sound as the woman held her wrist and started to blow air on her now-hot and pulsating palm. She didn't take too kindly to the 'stripper' idea that the puppet mentioned. She was here to be a hostess, not grind her rear on any man for money. The women here did other, less lewd things in order to get money from their male patrons. The woman shouted to the back, "Bring Koko out here!" she said before gnashing her teeth at the awful puppet. "You want a lapdance, you'll get your lapdance, you fucking pig!"

Thundrous footsteps could be heard as the one named 'Koko' walked into the bar. She smelled of vanilla and the one that slapped the puppet's face pointed at Maru. With the excitement of a teenaged girl, the monster named 'Koko' ran over to him leaving quakes with each heavy step. It was then that 'Koko' started to give him a lapdance, whether Maru wanted it or not.

Kaori burst out in laughter, not only because of the thundrous slap but also because of the stupid display she just witnessed. Maru had enough nerve to ask for her name even if he behaved. Kaori dismissively waved him off as the wire-haired 'maiden' started to grind into Maru -- fully clothed, of course! She looked ecstatic with performing this on Maru, even straddling the guy and placed her hands upon his face. She said in a booming voice, "Oh my! You are HA-A-ANDSOME! I could eat you up!" she said as she continued, what she believed, would be pleasurable to Maru. Even if Maru didn't enjoy this, she certain found enjoyment.

"Seems like you have a new friend!" Kaori shouted out, hiccuping loudly afterward. After a while, the one named 'Koko' got up and blew a kiss at Maru. Her breath reeked of garlic and onions before she waved at him and returned to the back, skipping like a little teenaged girl in love. It was then that Maru had the bright idea to sing the song that Kaori had picked for him and started to sing it. She watched a bit, hearing him go 'bah' over-and-over again. After his song finished, Kaori heard a buzzing in her ear. She didn't applaud Maru's song. She held a hand up to speak into the headset with a series of 'uh huh' and 'yup' before finishing it off with "Alright, I'll be right there!" she said before sucking in another hiccup.

She stood up and smiled to Sunuke and Naikishin. "Sorry to cut this short, but I gotta go right now. We should meet up again later and tell-tales! *hic* Who knows, we could go on an *hic* adventure or something! Sounds good?" she asked with as much excitement as she could muster through her inebriation. She turned to look towards Maru and hiccuped once more. "I'll tell you my name later. I got something to do. Toodles," she said, waving at him in a flirtatious manner before running out of the bar.

Well that was quick. It seemed like the show was already running over, and the more that the Nanjirou was sitting around the more he was likely to be caught. And not only that now that attention was drawn to one of the guests that knew Kaori the more it seemed like he was going to be recognised.

”Ah well that was a good short piece of entertainment,” the Nanjirou said, before realising the time was the time to get the hell out of dodge. ”I’ll be taking my leave now, but I wish you the best in your adventures.” The Nanjirou would get up, bow to his fellow tablemates, and then rush out the window that was recently smashed by Maru. From there he would escape out of the streets and out towards the insanity that was the city they were in.

He was beginning to feel his age creeping up on him, as he realised that he was getting on in his times. The adventures of Nanjirou Sunuke and Kagetsu Yuii were just stories now, and that they both had to realise that the world has grown around them. But maybe it was time to finally move on from being as shinobi, especially if he wasn’t really being chased anymore. What was the actual point if there was no danger?

And that would be that. Sunuke would leave to find new work elsewhere. Maybe he would become the greatest sashimi chef in the world, or a travelling teacher. Or would he grow up alone and die without recognition? But it seemed like the age of the samurai died as soon as Leaf ended it. It was probably time that this Nanjirou laid down his sword to become something else. Or maybe he would just continue on, whatever.
