Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Physical Description: Yuu is a young lanky boy standing at 4'9" inches and weighed 105 lbs. with a tan skin, dark blue eyes, dark indigo messy hair, and a heart-shaped head. Due to his liking of being casual, he tends to wear a black and blue hoodie vest, black T-shirt, aqua wristbands, denim blue shorts, and navy blue sandals. When he became a Genin, he still kept his outfit from his Academy Student days except he now sported a forehead protector on his left arm near his shoulder.

Personality: Being a boy who just recently stepped into the shinobi world, he's an impatient, but courageous and kind boy to everyone who wanted to help and protect everyone to any criminals who set foot in his life. Despite mischievous, he is not the type to break the rules and often chase anyone who did. Yet, due to his one-track mind, he tends to not think beforehand in any situation, which caused him to get in trouble no matter what. Not only that, his short temper often triggered not only by someone hurting his friends and family but to anyone who looked down on his dreams due to his personality. Despite all of his faults, Yuu is not the type to give up on becoming a ninja.

History:

Before AS:

While all of the children have special talents, Yuu stands out the most due to his dislike of being special. Living every day helping his family, doing chores, and playing with his friends and his siblings, he was somehow a run of the mill kid in the Cloud Village. However, one day when he was out playing with his younger brother and sister, a missing-nin appeared and made his siblings hostage.

Angry, Yuu tried to fight him, but due to his age, he was easily swatted away and about to be killed, but a ninja managed to save him along with his siblings. Despite his brother and sister are safe, Yuu now felt weak due to his lack of power in saving his siblings. But with his savior's suggestion on attending a ninja academy, his decision on becoming a ninja was finalized as he wanted not to become a superhero, but a ninja who can protect his family from danger.

Academy Student:

After he entered Aurora Eruditio Academy at the age of 9, he spent a year studying there to achieve his dream of becoming a ninja of the Lightning Country. Although it was uneventful through Yuu's eyes, he managed to meet some interesting people and learned some unique elements of every jutsu. He once met an Academy Student like him who sparred with him, which he lost and an instructor who tends to call him "Punctual-kun", much to his annoyance. As he continued studying, he learned a few jutsus and obtained some weapons for his fighting style.

After he participated in a few classes, he was then chosen to take a Genin Exam by Mochizuki Tama and despite the bumps he encountered during the exam, he managed to pass it with flying colors, which allowed him to leave his days of the Academy and finally fulfill his dream of becoming a ninja that can protect his loved ones from danger.

Genin:

Now fulfilling his dream as a shinobi, Yuu began taking missions and training to not only trained himself to be strong against any adversaries, but to fulfill his wish to protect his family, friends, and the village as a hero. However, as he prepared for his new role as a Genin, his life changed as a strange insect stabbed him with its proboscis in his back and inject a strange substance in him during his self-training one day. He survived the encounter thanks to his former proctor, Tama, but the attack changed him completely as a parasite began to grow inside him. As he learned how to get used on living with the parasite (which he named him "Yuri"), his reputation as a shinobi became known thanks to Yuri's appearance, namely in the underground scene as the bandits and thugs began to grow wary to this new fledgling shinobi. He eventually began to be involved in Yuri's past as during in his excursion into the mountains, he stumbled across an abandoned laboratory.

Chuunin:

Now at the age of 13, Yuu began to set his eyes on teaching Academy Students on what he learned for the past few years. He also continued his work as a shinobi with Yuri as the criminals began to plan on their downfall of the "Blue-Eyed Demons".

The Spider Half of Kashino Yuu

Name: Yuri

Gender: Male (Originally Genderless)

Split Personality Type: Spider-type Parasite

General Appearance:
In Yuu's mind, Yuri originally took a shape of a giant blue spider similar to his own body, but without the proboscis on his mouth. But later, he changed his appearance with a same appearance of Yuu, but with darker blue and messier hair and shrunken black eyes. When Yuri possessed Yuu however, his eyes became darker blue with cat-like slitted pupils.

How it happened:

During his self-training one day, Yuu was attacked by a strange spider-like insect, which it quickly stabbed its proboscis in his back and inject a strange substance in him before Tama destroyed it. But this caused Yuu to felt a sharp pain on his whole body before he fell unconscious, forcing Tama to send him to the hospital. But when he woke up in the hospital a few hours later, his pain not only disappeared but the memories of the insect stabbing him disappeared, leaving him to wonder why he was in the hospital in the first place.

But as two weeks have passed, Yuu not only experienced frequent headaches every day, but he experienced a sudden increase in both of his reaction time and kinetic vision, allowing him to learn faster and able to catch anything fast, confusing the young Genin as it progresses despite these advantages. During a solo mission, however, when he was pinned down by some bandits, Yuu suddenly acted like a cold psychopath for a moment as he used Genjutsu to capture them and about to kill them before he snapped out of it. After the mission, he ultimately decided to go back to the hospital to figure out what was really happening to him.

But as he was heading to the hospital, Yuu suddenly heard a voice inside his head, revealing his lost memories from before, but also the insect's true goals before he gone unconscious out of pain. As he recovered, Yuri was born as unknown to him, Yuu was still inside him resisting his mental temptations.

Mental Description: When he was a spider parasite, Yuri was originally an emotionless personality like all of his kind who longed for a body like them. But after he gained intelligence and learning that Yuu managed to gain control and his mental temptations, he became a serious, but curious being at how he resisted and his job as a shinobi. Being a foil to Yuu's impatient attitude with a one-track mind, Yuri tends to wait and see what was happening instead of acting and always make several solutions before deciding on what he thought best. While his wish of having a host came true, his curiosity for Yuu made him stay inside his mind and talk to him while he's unconscious about his life. Because of this, he can only possess him when he wanted to look around in his new surroundings or when his host is in danger. However, he dislikes being called out by Yuu as he felt it was irritating him. This is the same as most of Yuu's battles since he thought they are his host's battles, not his unless he is in danger of dying.

But along with his protective nature to his host due to consequences when he dies, he later started to share Yuu's urge to help and protect his friends and family. When it comes to battles, however, he often acts like his opponents are his prey and often use Ninja Wires and Genjutsu to bind and trap them as a spider would.

How their personalities work: Due to his parasitic species' effects on their brain, Yuri can only contact Yuu whenever they were about to switch or when Yuu is unconscious as when either of them is awake, either of them can only say the current personality's name and nothing else.

As Yuu and Yuri talked while the former's body is unconscious, his mind took the shape of his own bedroom with the ceiling covered in spider webs and the window closed shut. To switch, Yuri often covered Yuu or himself with a spider web in his mind, allowing the one who was covered in web possess the body. As for when the switch occurred, Yuu will feel a sharp pain in his head as he loses control of his arms and leg, which he can able to interact with Yuri in his head for a few seconds before he goes into an unconscious state, completing the switch.

Chakra Retainer - Passive (2 points)
An Attuned ninja has almost complete control over their own chakra flow, and through hard training they learn how to retain it within themselves and when forcefully taken away, sends a powerful backlash to those foes.
Effect: Effects which deal damage to or offensively remove CP from the user's CP pool have their effectiveness reduced by 20%. This is considered Damage Reduction

One-Handed Seals - Passive (2 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
A ninja who is properly Chakra Attuned is able to produce the correct amounts of chakra even with an incomplete seal. With extreme practice and their natural talent for manipulating chakra, they can learn the ability previously thought to be exclusive to a bloodline clan.
Effect: The user is able to perform all Jutsu handseals with one hand.

Conservation - Passive (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
Through repeated use and training with the lower level techniques, the attuned ninja learns the best ways to manipulate their chakra in order to produce the desired effects. They are able to cast weaker jutsu for a much smaller cost than an average ninja would.
Effect: -15% Ninjutsu cost.

Empower - Dependent Special Move (2 points)
A Chakra Attuned ninja can learn, instead of conserving chakra, to pump more into a jutsu to increase the power output. Unlike overcharge, which is wild and uncontrolled, the Chakra Attuned ninja is able to place specific measured amounts into their jutsu.
Effect: By increasing the chakra cost for a jutsu by +10%, they can increase the damage by +5%. This move only works on offensive jutsu and may stack up to three times on a single jutsu. All CP reduction buffs to a jutsu effected by this are nulled.

Strike the Spirit - Dependent Special Move (3 points)
Those who have a powerful connection with chakra themselves have an intimate knowledge of how to disrupt that connection in others. By specially molding a jutsu, the Attuned ninja is able to cause it to blast away an enemy’s chakra instead of their health.
Effect: Once per round, the user may have a Ninjutsu deal Chakra damage. The chosen jutsu only deal 80% Damage, and receives no buffs at all.

Spirit Boost - Boost (1 point) (x2)
Restriction- Can be purchased twice
A Chakra Attuned ninja's prowess with Ninjutsu is not to be underestimated. Their skill with it is unparalleled, and is not limited to any one specific element.
Effect: +5% Ninjutsu damage.

Energy Boost - Boost (1 point) (x2)
Restriction- Can be purchased three times
A Chakra Attuned ninja tends to have slightly more chakra to work with than the average, being that they tend to work with it more often than others.
Effect: +2 to CP modifier.

Recharge - Passive (2 point)
Chakra Attuned ninja are very efficient at storing their chakra, up to the point where it flows into them easily from all around. They can restore their own chakra as effortlessly as breathing.
Effect: User regains 2% CP per round.

Chakra Vacuum - Jutsu (1 point, 1 point per rank up) (Rank Up)
Restriction- A-Rank and up
A fearsome technique that can only be used by those with an absolute mastery over chakra molding, such as the Chakra Attuned. The Chakra Vacuum is just that, a technique which sucks chakra out of everything nearby and pulls it into the user. This attack is strongest when there are multiple targets surrounding the caster, so that they can feed off of all of them at once. Once this jutsu is activated, the user cannot move at all, needing to maintain total concentration--if the user moves, the jutsu will be disrupted.
Rank 1: Absorbs 1000 chakra from up to 3 targets every round. Lasts a maximum of 3 rounds.
Rank 2: Absorbs 1500 chakra from up to 3 targets every round. Lasts a maximum of 4 rounds.

Name of Jutsu: Flash Ball

CRPJ's Effect: Focusing on Yuu's palm, he creates a simple sphere of electricity. Function-wise, he only used it as a wide-ranged flashlight and to show off his Lightning Ninjutsu mastery. It is possible to create 2-3 spheres at the same time.

Yuu groaned at this as his younger sister continued to cry. He would be annoyed by this, but he wouldn't mind. However, the main problem he was worrying about right now that her crying might disturb the neighbors considering that it was already nighttime and he was supposed to be in bed by now. Also as a big brother, he can't ignore his sister's help as she lost her cat plush that he gave her as a birthday gift. He bought it by chance, so he knew he has little chance to replace it. Thankfully, she remembered the last place she remembered with her plush toy, which was in their backyard.

"Calm down! It's okay! We're here!" He shouted in an attempt to calm his sister down. "Is this where you last seen Mr. Nyaki, Kei-chan?" His younger sister, Keiko nodded in confirmation and said, "Yes, I'm worried since he didn't like the dark. And I don't like the dark, too..." She was right about the darkness enveloped through their backyard. But with everyone in his neighborhood asleep and the fact he was also sleepy, he can't stay in there for so long just to look for his sister's cat plush with a candle. However, he did have something to help them find it quickly, namely a new Jutsu he made up by himself as he created some handseals and focused his chakra on his palm of his hand. To his sister's surprise, it created a sphere of blue electricity as he threw it through his backyard to shine the area.

"Wow, I never knew you can make a ball like that!" Yuu became relieved when he saw his sister's smile as her worries faded, now happy that he made her happy once more. Just then, he noticed something on the ground as the ball slowly moved near the fence and when he approached it, he realized it was his sister's cat plush as he picked it up and gave it to Keiko as he reassured her that her cat plush was still okay

Reason why it cannot be used in battle: Due to Yuu's lack of knowledge of concentrating lightning-based chakra to his palm of his hand similar to Chidori, the ball of electricity he produced was weak, that one physical contact on any person or object will disperse and leave a small harmless shock to their skin. Also, if he creates more than 3 spheres, they will quickly disperse than it's usual 3 minutes.

Specialized Ability:
The Spider Huntsman - Spider Contract Passive
Spiders are hunters by nature, while some carefully spin their webs on the corner of a wall others seek their prey from the shadows. Spiders are excellent hiders and so are their honored summoners.

Effect:
- The user gains +2 Stealth, and have a 10% chance of entering stealth every time they do an action (this stacks with Active Camo).

Tangled Webs - Spider Independent Special Move
Webbing has a variety of uses, it can be used to climb, to hide and to trap. Spiders are masters of their web and because of this they provide a number of tactical advantages.

Effect: Once per round the user can place a web trap for 1 AP and 1% Max Cp; this is a Hidden Action. Web traps are placed with one of the following trigger conditions;
  • The Web Trap will trigger when the user is hit by an attack, targeting the one who attacked them. This setting will not trigger the same round it was armed.
  • The Web Trap will trigger one, two or three rounds later from the time it was cast (user's choice upon creating it), targeting an enemy of the user's choice (also chosen upon arming).
  • The Web Trap will trigger when the user no longer maintains it, targeting a random target. The maintain cost for web traps armed this way is 50 Cp per second during a round.
And upon creation, the user chooses one of the following effects it will have once it activates;
  • Binds the target at -5 penalty to hit. Physical bind that breaks on attack, or until a round has passed.
  • Causes 1 AP of suppression. Suppression caused by the web can exceed the cap of 2 AP suppression in a given round.
  • Stick to the victim's hands, causing a -1 accuracy to any attack that requires handseals. This debuff can be removed if the victim is struck with an A rank ninjutsu.
  • Deal 500 physical (considered taijutsu) damage on an opponent. If this damages a creation or a clone, the creation of clone would be automatically dispersed (the exception being those created with Dark Sage's Corrupted Energy)
Note:
- Once a web 'goes off', the web is destroyed, regardless of success.
- There is no limit to how many webs can be out at a given time.
- There is no limit to how many times a user can be effected by a web in a given round or a given battle.
- Once triggered, the web trap 'attacks' using either Ranged, Ninjutsu, or Melee Accuracy. If created while the user was in stealth, this will be a sneak attack.
- Web Traps that are triggered target things in stealth normally without performing a Blind Shot check. If the user is in stealth when a Web Trap is triggered, they will not be removed from stealth.
- This does not differentiate between friend or foe but the summon and the summoner are immune to the web traps. Web Traps may target creations and clones.
- Any time an AoE Fire attack is performed, one Web Trap is destroyed. An AOE is defined as an attack that targets multiple targets simultaneously (including ninjutsu spread). Additionally 'Fire' is defined as anything that uses 'Fire' ninjutsu as a part of its base element.

Venomtouch - Spider Contract Senjutsu
With a leaping bound the spider attempts to pin a target to the ground and then pierce their victim's tender flesh with their often times poison-laced fangs.

Effect: The spider bites an enemy target at with a +3 bonus to the attack, dealing 1000 damage that cannot partially hit (so all partial hits are considered to be full hits). The victim is inflicted with a Lingering Poison that does one of the following things;
  • Disorients the victim, causing them to have a 15% chance to attack a random target.
  • Slows the victim's perception, causing them to suffer a -1 accuracy and evasion penalty.
  • Thins the victim's blood so that their bleeding level increases by one rank each round until the bleed level is Rank 5 (this bleeding cannot be healed and persists even after the poison is no longer active). Cannot cause a target to bleed beyond Rank 5.
  • Cloud's the victim's judgement, reducing the opponent's genjutsu save as well as their genjutsu checks by -2.
Cost: 2.75 Ap and 2200 Cp

Note:
- Jutsu subtype is chosen when the contract creature is designed; determining its accuracy and damage type.
- The poison of this jutsu is a Lingering Injury Poison, and lasts 3 rounds.
- Only one effect can be applied to a target at a time. Once a poison has be dispersed, a new (or same) one may be applied once again.
- Subsequent attacks do not refresh the poison that is on the target. If a target is already under the effects of this poison when they are attacked, this attack does 2000 damage instead, ignores DR and cannot be auto-dodged.

Name: Sakushi
Description: Sakushi is a giant spider standing at 2'08" inches and weighs 33 lbs with body consists of a head and abdomen. Her head has a yellow coloring on the top while her bottom half is light purple as well as two long pedipalps connected from the underside of it that serves as her forelegs. For her eyes, she has two large, blue large eyes with black pupils that are facing forward and four, smaller, simple eyes on its forehead. Her body has yellow fur with light purple fur on its back with three thick, yellow stripes running up from its rear and blue fur located under her abdomen with four tufts of fur sprout from it and grow upward.

Unusually, Sakushi has four legs instead of her brethren's eight legs, which they are connected to her head. Her lower half of them has yellow fur that forms a bell-shape over her blue conical feet.
Personality: As a long-time guardian of Yattsu, Sakushi is very protective of her home and her assigned summoner, especially to Yattsu’s successors. This also applies to her children due to her maternal instincts and Yuri, who she treated him as a child until his departure to complete his directive to find a human host. However, she can be critical of humans, believing them to be weaker than humans because of their complex nature. Because of this, her relationship with Yuu has gone off into a rocky start due to her initial distrust regarding his skills and abilities and his humanity, thinking that he was not worthy of Dr. Yattsu’s immortality. But upon witnessing Yuu’s selflessness to aid Yuri and his surprising friendship to her children, she slowly opened up to him not only as her master and summoner but as a true successor of Dr. Yattsu.

Sakushi is also dedicated to her directive to guide and protect Yuu and Yuri from any danger and enemies they made. However, she often comes off as strict and protective to both of her masters and her children such as scolding for their reckless actions and what she feels to be a wasted summon in non-fatal battles. Even her criticisms were very blunt regarding their skills and power. Unfortunately, this was always the source of Sakushi and Yuu’s quarrels from time to time. Despite this, she is very patient when it comes to orders and because of her growing loyalty to them, she will wait for Yuu or Yuri’s next orders even in a desperate situation.

Despite her near-human sentience, she sometimes falls into her spider instincts whenever her hatchlings or her summoner are in danger or encountering suspicious or dangerous strangers. Because of this, she has to rely on her summoner to keep her in check.

History: Sakushi was originally one of the spiders assigned to a human named Dr. Yattsu Shonsuu as part of his deal with Koutaigou. Under Koutaigou’s orders, she guarded Dr. Yattsu during his research trips due to his weak body. Because of this, he often experimented on Sakushi as part of her duty, granting her electrical abilities that allowed her to defend him from intruders. This allowed her to befriend Omoto as they often supported each other during their duties as guardians of the lab. And during Dr. Yattsu's final days, she witnessed the birth of the mind spider parasite named Yuri as his proud creation and attempt to achieve immortality with his wish that she will protect it until the time has come.

After Yattsu passed away, Sakushi continued to guard the lab for many years as well protecting the parasite from harm such as Arashi's hunger for it and the intruders who dared to trespass her territory. But several years later, Yuri left the lab to find a host, which Sakushi remained at the lab with Omoto to continue her directive. This eventually gave her birth to two spider hatchlings, Sukochi and Suchi, who inherit the electrical skills that she gained from her master's experiments. Upon she learned this, Sakushi took care of them and trained them to become guardians to Yattsu's successors like her.

Then, 11 years later, she finally met Yuri's new host and successor, Kashino Yuu, who inherit Yattsu's lab and the knowledge that her original master left behind. Despite her suspicions to the young boy, she regardless named him as Yattsu's successor and her new summoner.
Other info: Due to her planned Hive Mind ability, her hatchlings, Sukoshi and Suchi will join her in modded battles.

Name: Sukochi
Description: Sukochi is a small yellow spider that weighs about 5 lbs. and has a height of .5 inches tall. He has an oval body with tufts of yellow fur sticking out and four legs tipped with blue conical feet. He also has four eyes with one pair of blue eyes have black pupils that are set apart by an inch while another is simple blue eyes that situated on the top of his other pair, resembling much of eyebrows. His mandibles are pointed downwards and resembles some tufts of hair, which he can spits out yellow webs.
Personality: Initially, Sukochi mostly dependant on his mother and Omoto during his training as the next guardian and summon for the future successor of his mother's creator. Though after they run-in with Arashi, he started to grow fearless in front of his enemies. Yet despite he still has episodes of fear, he always tried his best of Yuu, Yuri, and Suchi's sake. He is also dedicated and loyal of his position as a guardian and summon as he tried not to tarnish his pact just for the other spiders and his new masters, which he has no problems with cooperation with other spiders.

While being shy to others that Yuu deemed as allies, he is also curious about them and the world outside of Dr. Yattsu's lab. Though regarding them and the decisions he makes, he often grew hesitated if he could do this action or not. He can also be easily discouraged whenever he faces something that he feels he's not strong enough to beat, not to mention he often doubts his abilities because of his height and power as a Spider. Though, it takes Yuu's encouragement to snap him out of it. He also had a habit of blurting out what his master thinks, leading Yuu into embarrassing situations.

History: Born as an older son to one of the guardians of Dr. Yattsu, Sukochi lived his whole life through his mother's eyes as he struggled to become stronger for her sake and for Yattsu's successor. But due to his small size, he was mostly made fun of him along with his weak abilities as well with his tendency to run away at a sight of a strong enemy. However, he mostly found comfort with Omoto despite his scary appearance as he mostly approached him for advice and encouragement. Even after seeing his small younger brother was born, he was still happy about it because of Omoto's visit.

It wasn't until during his brother's infant years when he followed Suchi out of worry into the strange cave. That was where they encountered one of Dr. Yattsu's dangerous creations, Arashi. At first, he was scared and reluctant to face the humanoid spider, but when he found Suchi about to be eaten by her, Sukochi managed to grow a spine and quickly spat out his very first web to force her to flee from its electricity. It was there that he found the motivation to become brave for his brother's sake.

However, after a few years, he eventually recognized by his mother and the Spider Overlord to be a proper guardian. But much to his surprise, he learned that Omoto already left after his pact was completed, a sign that Dr. Yattsu's successor was found. He was saddened by his departure, yet that sadness turned into a change of fate when he met Yuu, the one who signed the pact as the successor for the lab as well with his parasite who now inhabits his original body, Yuri.
Other info: Along with Suchi, he will be part of Sakushi's Hive Mind ability.

Name: Suchi
Description: Suchi is mostly similar to Sukochi except he has a height of .3 inches tall and weighs about 4.5 lbs as well with light yellow fur. He also has purple conical feet and four purple eyes.
Personality: Unlike his older brother, Suchi is an energetic spider who loves to roam around his surroundings with optimism. Known to have an idealistic outlook on the future, Suchi often looks at a bright side of every situation around him, not to mention he is always the first one to jump in to aid his summoner. Unfortunately, he is also naive to the world around him, which caused him to believe everything including lies. He is also careless when it comes to his actions as his reckless attempts usually caused trouble to his older brother and his summoner.

Like his family, Suchi is mostly loyal to Yuu and Yuri, who never questions their decisions and actions without any reason. But because he was still a young hatchling, Suchi is often dependant on Sukochi and Yuu/Yuri as he is indecisive to any decision without their help. And because of his encounter with one of the dangerous spiders, he was fearful when it comes to scary humans and monsters around him. Also, he tends to get confused by any complicated terms and words.

Thankfully, Suchi was saved by Sukochi before being eaten, but for the first time in his life, he cried out of fear for the whole day as his brother and mother comforted him.

Many years later after his brother became a guardian, Suchi wandered around the lab as usual when he met Dr. Yattsu's successor, Kashino Yuu. From there, he and Sukochi forged a bond with him and the mind spider parasite, Yuri, and became one of Yuu's summon companions.
