Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Name: Takeda, Katsumi
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Sex: Male
Rank: Academy Student

Physical Description: Katsumi has the appearance of what some may call an average looking teenage male. Standing at around five feet, one inches Katsumi is a decent height for his age, and only weighing a bit over one hundred pounds also places him in the complete average, but he isn't really average at all. He has brown hair and green eyes with pale skin. He usually wears clothes that are simple and easy to wear that he can use in the heat of combat, these clothes are usually easy to repair or even replace. He considers himself a pack rat and carries odd an ends on his person that he happens to just "pick up", meaning that any given time Katsumi can have random, and rather out of place things in his pockets, bags, and belt pouches.

Personality: Katsumi is an easy going, welcoming, and rather good person to be around. His upbringing has placed him as the sort of "black sheep" of his family, but Katsumi doesn't seem to mind it so much, even if his family does value his twin brother more than him in a sense of him being more reliable. Which Katsumi doesn't deny because at times the teen can be a bit scattered brained when it comes to important tasks and isn't quite the most reliable individual to call upon when the goings get tough. He, however is an excellent team player, and works very well with others due to his outgoing personality. He is easy to direct in a sense that he can easily be focused to do a task by an outside force, but when by himself he lacks the individualistic drive to pursue the necessary means to obtain his own goals. Well, that is outside of "acquiring" odds and ends from random locations that he views as either useful or valuable in a personal sense. It is no hidden secret that Katsumi is a thief, in fact he embraces the ideas of stealing to get by as he is indeed rather swift, and cunning when it comes to stealing valuables and acquiring goods. Even if his brother doesn't approve of his antics, he still supports his twin to the best of his ability, by using his talents, and skills to do so even if it is all he is really good at. He values himself rather highly, regardless of what others think of him, and sometimes he comes off as a bit too arrogant for his own good, but this is because he has always been underestimated by either his family or those at the academy due to his drive, his scattered brain tendencies, and his thieving. He is also quite mischievous, pulling pranks on instructors, and fellow students alike to brighten his own mood if he is feeling down or to just have a good laugh at another's expense.

History:

Born into a family as the twin brother of Ken Takeda, Katsumi has always had a rather large measuring stick to be compared to, and has never really had the opportunity to shine on his own as a person. Since day one he has always been compared to his brother, who seemed to excel rather well in his studies, and training while he seemed to lack the necessary drive or skill to be equal to or greater than his brother in any field. Though, Katsumi found his own way, and worked hard to be recognized, even if it were for all the wrong reasons. He began to act out an early age: stealing candy here, pulling a prank there, and just generally being a nuisance whenever he could possibly be one. It got him the attention he wanted, but not the type that he was seeking, and several scoldings and long talks usually ended with Katsumi feeling down on himself even though he had shown impressive skills in the terms of acquiring goods and infiltrating places that he shouldn't be. Still, his brother supported him even when his family seemed to be down or him or making him feel like he wasn't worth their time, his brother Ken was always looking out for him in some way, shape, or form. To which he was thankful and always tried his best to be the sort of brother that Ken needed, even if that meant risking his future to do so. In many ways, Katsumi embraced being the "bad" twin as it made his brother's life easier, as it was harder for his failures to look bad when he was being compared to his brother who didn't seem to really excel at anything that mattered.

When his brother got accepted into the academy, Katsumi couldn't have been more proud, and knew that if he wished to continue to support his brother that he would need to follow his brother to inside the academy walls. So, he took the entrance exam himself, and after barely scraping by with acceptable scores, Katsumi was accepted into the Kumogakure shinobi academy. It was upon his entrance to the academy that his instructors began to see the "real" Katsumi, who's talents in stealth and subterfuge made him a unique acquisition in his own right, even if Katsumi himself didn't see it. They tried extremely hard to pull that latent talent out of him by pushing him to perform better, but Katsumi really didn't mind being the laughing stock or being considered a sub-par ninja if it meant that he could continue to support his brother, who was the only real person that he seemed to respect at all. His teachers began to notice his lack of drive and began to try and separate the two brothers for their own good, pulling them away from each other, and sending them to different classes to see how they performed on their own. While Ken performed well, as he should, Katsumi seemed to become more and more deviant without his brother around. The original hope had been that Katsumi would become his own person without his brother around to cast a shadow over him, but it seemed as though Katsumi didn't like it too much, and lashed out in response rather than try to make strides on his own. Eventually the academy put the two back together and began to see Katsumi flourish again when he had his brother around. They realized that the family bond between the two was Katsumi's driving force and began to use it as a motivator for Katsumi, stating that a weak ninja couldn't protect his brother, and that he needed to grow strong if he hoped to be able to support his brother in the future.

This was the right level of motivation and Katsumi seemed to turn the corner, developing his skills in ninjutsu, and impressing the teachers with his skills in stealth and subterfuge. Presently, Katsumi is still learning, and training himself so that he can be someone his brother can rely on if need be in the future.
