Name: Osawa, Kenji
Age: 12 years old.
Gender: Male
Sex: Male
Rank: Academy Student
General Description: Kenji is a slender pre-teen boy with black slicked-back hair and blue eyes. He wears a an red and white jacket with a black collar, white pants with a shuriken holster on his right knee, a black swirl with a tassel on the left side and a blue Osawa crest on the back, and black sandals.
Personality & Physical: Kenji is often seen as a kid with a chip on his shoulder, and is often cold and slightly condescending towards some people; this stems from his very lavish but also very strict upbringing, which leaves him with very few friends. However, he is willing to open up to those who gain his respect, and he is also respectful towards his elders and peers.
Kenji has a strained relationship with his most of his family due to his father’s emotional distance, strict discipline and training, and favoring of his five elder brothers, who often treated Kenji as the outcast and “weak link” of the family. He does have a better relationship with his nurturing mother and his younger sister, who always are there to encourage him to keep going and never give up.
History: Kenji Osawa was born into a wealthy family as the sixth of seven children. While he was raised in the lap of luxury, he was not spoiled and his childhood was not essentially happy. His father, a land owner and former Jounin, was hard on all of his children and strictly trained and disciplined them prior to them going to the academy to ensure their success. While Kenji’s older brothers all consistently adhered to the discipline and did very well, Kenji struggled under the pressure and strictness, and while he ultimately was successful in the training, he was seen as an underachiever by his father, who often compared his brothers’ successes to his struggles. His brothers were no help either as they often looked down on him and saw him as the family’s weak link.
Kenji’s mother and younger sister, however, saw that while he had a slower pace than his brothers, he had the same amount of potential, and always encouraged him to never let those who didn’t believe in him get him down. Kenji continued to remember their words when he came to the academy, with the goal to become the best shinobi he could be and prove his father and brothers wrong.
