Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

To get into the swing of things:
Kensai smiled. It was almost time for the fun to begin. He kept himself hidden and waited, this was one of the parts of the job he really enjoyed, a guilty pleasure. Only difference this year was new faces, these one's would be starting on the long road to success today. And why not begin by a trial by fire? Kensai had argued this point with parents again and again. It was lucky he had the backing of others, students he taught mainly who seemed to agree with his methods. It was not quite time yet. They had to wait a few minutes more.

An old man entered the room, some of the staff saw him and were a little put off. He strode purposefully towards the desk but seemed put of by the general noise, frowning he motioned for the secretary to give him the pad. Smiling knowingly he nodded towards the youth, he did not have to word a question. Turning back to the secretary he immediately took charge of the situation.

"Could you get a sub to cover my first lesson, it's only orientation but try not to let them screw it up."

As the others hurried to do his bidding he walked over to the student in question. Assessing him as he went, stripping down the small facts he knew extrapolating and evaluating.

"I think judging from what you wrote, we need a talk, I am Kensai, I teach here. Tell me if you will a little about yourself."
[149]
Kensai contemplated, either the boy was an excellent liar or he was stating believed truths, he was capable of survival, no one could get through a desert caring for someone else, so he must have aided in that somehow. Most important was humility, this boy had the potential to go far, exactly how far was yet to be determined. Kensai noted another student enter, he seemed more familiar, perhaps he had seen him around last year. Back to the problem at hand Kensai smiled.

"So you have told me who you are" In a very roundabout way "Perhaps you should tell me why you took these choices."

Kensai was taking things slowly, no need to scare the boy. Perhaps he could handle the pressure these would give him, and if not, well he only had to say, and there wasn't that much pride showing so far.

Kensai spent the time the child was talking listening thoughtfully, this one definitely could go far, and he already had a sense of duty. Everything seemed promising, save perhaps for the last comment, but that was probably just thoughtless meanderings.

"You seem very determined, if you want to do all these, I won't stop you, though the stress caused will be high, you might not even have time to go out and enjoy yourself." Moving himself so he was speaking to Hitaka too, the old man continued talking. "Don't limit yourself with what you do, taking few choices will mean you are too specialized, but taking to many will mean you have no time to study each particular thing closely. Being too generalized is just as bad. Think about where you are going, visualize the 'perfect you' the place that person is, the skills they require, work towards that. I always wanted to play the role I play, so don't waste this time with pointless things."

Kensai hoped they understood his points, that they were going to take them, the sooner they did the sooner he could begin to teach.

An old man could be seen in a cloak at a distance, then without warning he would be standing by the pair, he did not appear out of breath, nor did he give the impression of movement at all. He bent down to expect the young girl. He sighed, whilst performing some hand seals, she was not the one he waited for, it seemed like the time had not come. Blue light flowed from his hands into the girl, giving the greatest gift in all of suna: life. When the old man was satisfied she was out of danger, he stopped, and began rooting around in his belt for some other medicine.

"So, refugee? Or orphan? Perhaps a runaway? I don't particularly mind myself, but a guard might."

The old man smiled, he had been in a worse state out here long ago. The girl would be fine, but if she was going to be a pupil of his, it was best she met him now. Also saving someones life helped with respect, something which all teachers found a good quality in their students.

Reaching into a small satchel Kensai pulled out a summoning scroll to summon some clothes for the girl. He turned to acknowledge the metal man, smiling as he did so.

"The camera's were probably displaced by a storm. They are never particularly reliable, how could they be in a place where the landscape changes on a daily basis? I have never understood why people rely on them so much. If you want to know what happens in a desert, send out scouts or ask a sunaku."

Summoning some loose fitting garbs he placed them on the girl, and turned to the animal who brought her.

"I'm afraid that she will need to see a med-nin for further treatment, although she's out of danger for now. I think I can authorize access to the village for her, but ahem, as I am not an official gate guard, we shall have to check with someone who is..."

Turning back to the 'man' Kensai threw him a quizzical expression. He hoped that this girl could receive treatment sooner rather than later, he was competent as a medic, but he was no long term specialist. It would be better for him to have a second opinion on her soon.

Things seemed to be settling down, the girl would receive medical attention and they would allow the dog into the village. The canine however was injured, Kensai went to inspect the wound, a gash which would have rendered most humans dead was visible, blood plastered onto fur. Kensai winced at the injury, before using the same technique he had on the girl.

"I'm not sure how effective this will be. I think I can make so you can walk unimpeded, but there could be internal injuries, and infection come to think of it. It may be a good idea to ask the med team about it, or better yet an inuzuka."

Pulling a tub of foul smelling green brown cream from somewhere he applied it liberally to the wound, relieving the pain. He turned back to the metallic one, suddenly becoming more business like.

"If you want I can go and see what happened to your cameras. I happen to be free today."

Kensai ignored the man who had just appeared. He was no threat, for now at least.
[179]
"I'll get to doing that then, oh and when she recovers, send her to the academy. I'd like to have a chat before she decides anything."

The old man walked away, he was lost to view in a few seconds, the desert seeming to usher him too his destination. Though they couldn't see it he was smiling to himself. A pleasant encounter given unpleasant circumstances was a refreshing change for the old man.

I like overkill on training.
