Name: Kimi
Age: 12
Gender: Female
Character's Physical Description: Kimi has long black hair, barely brushing against the back of her knees. It’s mostly straight, though the fewest waves could be seen through the length. Her hair is trimmed short in the front, creating a partial veil over her pale blue eyes. The glasses she does not wear are as black as her hair, the thin frames nearly blending in with her hair. She seems to have a permanent squint, causing her to always look a little annoyed. She stand at a modest 4’10”, her thin frame giving her an almost fragile appearance, though nobody would be stupid enough to tell her that. Her muscles lean but strong due to spending much of her childhood exploring the terrain in and around Iwa. Her wardrobe consists of nothing but black, causing her skin to look paler than it actually is. Her typical clothing covers the vast majority of her body, the only skin showing would be her face, and her fingers, slightly calloused from years of working with her violin. If one didn’t know better, they would think her a younger version of her mother.
Character's Mental Description: Strong-willed and determined to a fault, once Kimi sets her mind on doing something, she’ll never stop until it’s done. An only child, Kimi developed a sense of independence at an incredibly young age. She dislikes asking others for help, though it is an acceptable alternative to death. She has a rather independent definition of teamwork, seeing it as the sort of thing where each person has a specific job that, while may benefit the larger plan, can be completed independently of the rest of the team. Despite her preference to do things alone, Kimi has a strong sense of friendship and loyalty. While slow to make friends, those that she considers her friends are such for life. Kimi has always had a strong passion for music, which fueled much of her passion for other things. Such passion seemed to disappoint her father in ways she couldn’t even begin to understand. Her father’s love of the sword encouraged her interest in it as well. She tries incredibly hard to please her father by reaching for being the best she could.
History: Mother dying in childbirth, Kimi was raised without a motherly figure to guide her. The only thing connecting the child to the woman she never knew was her music. The music seemed to stem from Kimi’s very soul, connecting her to everything and everyone she came in contact with. The joy she felt should have been a relief to her father, not having to worry about her reaction to not having a mother, but instead it spurned his disproval. Even so, she continued, finding a sort of peace through it that nobody else seemed to understand. While doing so, she tried to earn the approval of her father by finding enjoyment in what he was passionate about. It was partly that reason that Kimi made the decision to go to the academy. She knew she could never be the child her father wanted without going somewhere that she could learn the things she needed to know, a place she knew would bring her closer to teleos.
