Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It had been only a few days since Kinnaku had met with her bodyguard, Asagao; a man worthy of becoming the protector of her life for now, and until their lives ended. It would seem dramatic but a bond such as this, well at least for the woman, wouldn't and shouldn't be broken so easily. Asagao, after only hours of knowing the woman, had vowed to protect her through thick and thin - Kinnaku admired that devotion with such heart that her own heart, the socially-excluded romantically thing began to flutter somewhat. Anyway, there was an information leak about the location of the man who threatened Oba Kinnaku from a few hired eyes. Of course, this expenditure wasn't covered by the privileged wage of a Sennin but out of her own savings; a costly thing indeed.

The pitter-patter of soft sandals pressing against the cobbled floor, the floor of an underground tunnel of which our two protagonists had found themselves, echoed out throughout the tunnels breadth. Kinnaku was dressed in a more militarized fashion, adorning a sandy brown flak jacket with all the added accessories that gave Sunan shinobi their symbolic look. Kinnaku's short hair bounced with each bounce she had put into her movements, the dimly lit corridor provided barely any insight as to what they were walking into. They had entered this underground tunnel through a facility within the Grand Palasis, a sort of brothel, a fitting place for a sexual predator really to associate himself with.

The entrance was simple to find after the Sennin bribed the 'Hostess'. A drag-queen of a woman that really would do anything for a quick buck.

The two would stop at an oval clearing, a large space in-which the room was lit somewhat decently, however there was no presence of another person. "I can't sense him... Was the information wrong?" The Sennin questioned herself, and then turned her head to her companion Asagao; who may or may have not caught up to her at this point, but she stated it outwardly nonetheless.

[I'm pretty dreadful when it comes to first posts. I do apologize! It'll get better, you know that :3]

Present Day

Following her into the room, Asagao would trail slightly behind, keeping some distance between them. This was the moment of the truth, hopefully everything would go smoothly, and they would be able to locate and capture this man with no real issues or surprises popping up and complicating their objective. The plan they had worked out was a dangerous one, far from any normal standard routine. It was risky gamble, and he hoped she was truly okay with it; cause both of their lives depended on her ability to stay strong and keep her composure in the moments when things went bad. This was more than just a job to Asagao now, he was not going to let anything happen to her. He would give up his own life before she was ever hurt again, he just hoped it would not come to that. He hoped his plan was going to work.

Flashback

Retaking his seat, he would take hold of the spoon sitting in his drink and give his tea another quick stir. Taking a small sip, the once hot beverage was now ice cold and the bitter aftertaste lingered on his tongue. Remaining silent, he would search his mind for the appropriate words to use, as he new just how difficult this was going to be for her to hear. This was the by far the most difficult thing she had ever gone through in her life, and here he was about to propose something that might rehash all those old wounds she so desperately tried to heal.

"I can't imagine how troubling this all must be for you. I wish that I could take you far away from here, someplace this man would never be able to find." He would say, his eyes meeting hers for a short spell, before gazing back down at his cold drink. "I am going to need your help...if we are ever going to capture him. I don't know anything about him, and he seems to be reaching out to you....with the pictures and all." Looking back up, their eyes would lock and he would speak, laying out his idea. "I want you to find out where he is hiding and meet with him. Lure him to me, Oba."

He knew his request sounded crazy, and he would understand perfectly well if she said no. But this might be there only chance at getting Kinpatsu, and he wanted to end this before anything else happened to her; she had been through enough, they couldn't afford to let him get away again.

Present Day

With the flick of his wrist, he would work the sound on his headset and speak into it casually, remaining undetected to the eye, appearing perfectly natural, drawing no attention to his actions. "He's here, we just need to pull him out. A spider only comes out after the prey is stuck in it's web. Are you sure you are ok with this?" He would ask, giving her one more chance to back out, before it was too late. Walking past Oba, he would move in a direction away from her, giving off the appearance they were not together. He wanted to remain anonymous, and make her seem vulnerable and alone; and then when the time was right he would strike, hopefully putting an end to this for good.

ooc: Bad post, sorry. I wanted to connect our old topic with this one....I hope that was okay? If you don't want to go with this plan, then just say no in response to my guy's question. =)

Oba knew that this task, this mission, was going to be incredibly difficult but she knew that she could get through it with Asagao's help. And even though the thought of seeing him, smelling him caused her great distress; she would simply have to swallow up those feelings and prepare for the meeting of her most vilest enemy. The massive chamber, so well hidden from the topside of Suna, was impressively craved out by hired tool-wielders, and obvious sign of this was the attention to detail within every cobbled stone. It was purely unfortunate that this location, a chamber beneath one of the most broken parts of Suna, was just raped and abused by dirty paws, who would use this massive organ and stuff it full of illegal garb.

Kinnaku would not meet Asagao's eyes, no, she felt too emotional and didn't want to show more weakness on her part: not for his sake, but for hers, who knew if that crawling virus was watching. "I've dealt with much worse than one man," She would lie through her teeth with a false smile, clearly forced on her somewhat wrinkling features, "I've organized medical corps during battles, this'll be a piece of cake." However, breaking her own vice, the Sennin would shift her blackened hues over to her handsome protector and say softly: "I'll treat you to some after this, deal?"

The two would be alone within the chamber, Asagao would have to conceal his presence completely in order to remain anonymous. Whenever he would do that, the Sennin would take a deep gulp of thickened saliva that felt like gunge in her mouth. The heel of her shinobi sandal would clank against the cobbled floor, the echo ululating throughout the entire chamber, and she kept walking on forward until another pair of footsteps were detectable; the scuff of heels being dragged along the cobbled tiles. And at the far end of the room, which had been so darkened and not highlighted by the orange glow which dimly flickered upon the embanking walls, two small figures appeared standing side-by-side. Their presence was clear, but it was obvious to the eye that they were only the size of children; automatically becoming non-threatening.

And then, just after moments of lowering her guard, another figure would loom over the two children. It's chilling aura, an invisible force felt by those nearby, would cause the woman to shudder and shake momentarily.

Oba would clench her fist as hard as she could, gritting her teeth as she could smell his floral scent. "Oneesan..." One voice, of the two children, said with an eerily soft tone.

Older... Sister?

[No, of course not! It was a good idea, dude!]

Cloaked in the cover of darkness, he wore the shadows in the room like a second skin. His keen eyes observed his female companion from across the facility, watching her every move, making sure she remained safe. His heightened sight was a blessing. It granted him the ability to see clearly in the night, allowing him to stay hidden and sneak about with great ease. He understood how difficult this was going to be for Oba, so he would whisper in her ear words of encouragement, trying to help her relax if she were to become overwhelmed by the moment; the last thing they needed was for her to panic.

Moving closer, advancing his position, he would pause in his tracks as she did, confused by the sound of the girl's voice coming from down the hallway. "Was that a kid?" He would ask, afraid of the answer, but already knowing the truth. "Be careful, Oba, this might be a trick..." His cautious words were falling on deaf ears, he could tell she wasn't listening. His hearing was nowhere near has good as his eyesight, but he had heard clear as day what the young child had said - and this was going to complicate things a great deal if it were true.

"Remember who you are dealing with.....remember your objective!!" Words of Iska, his former mentor came spilling out of him. He was losing his cool, he had never worked on a two man team before - nor with someone so emotionally invested and fragile. His motive was completion, his objective was to kill, he had never failed a mission before, and he wasn't going to start now. Regaining his composure, he would cast aside his mentor's harsh advice and instead opt for a different approach - one that was much more subtle.

"I am will you all the way, but prepare yourself for the worst. I can't imagine this NOT being a part of his plan." He cautioned her, hoping she wouldn't play right into his hands. Whoever this man was, he was smart. He knew Oba was going to come for him, and he was ready. The only question that remained unanswered, was if this person was actually Oba's sibling or not, or if it was just a rues to draw her in closer and have her lower her guard.

[Marked For Training]

Kinnaku became lost for words as her mind warped, and the world around her became twisted and heated with oranges and reds. No longer was this chamber dark, and dingy, but instead it was set alight with temperamental flames that engulfed all in perspective of one's eyes. The ululating sound of a Genjutsu, a song perhaps, ran through her ears; luckily, Asagao (whom was at a further distance from the woman) was away from the techniques range, and thus was not trapped in its grasp; however, he needed to dispel the spell that fell over the Sennin - before Kinpatsu and those two figures attacked.

But one would wonder, when did he even cast a Genjutsu?

However, should one dwell on the matter they would uncover the truth behind the mysterious matter of how Kinnaku became almost immediately entrapped within a Genjutsu. Those two shady figures standing beside Kinpatsu, no, they weren't anyone in relation to the Sennin. You see, before this mission had started, Oba had already met with the two mercenaries that she had hired to track down Kinpatsu to this very location. Much to her surprise, they were the long-since-dead siblings that time had forgotten. However, things were made even more peculiar as the reanimated siblings, brought back by Kinpatsu for this very moment, but had long-since turned their backs on the man that gave them life; he couldn't dilute their love for Oba. Their sister, a woman who made a grave choice, but a choice that was for the better.

Although, at first her siblings had hated what she had done, but over time they realized Kinpatsu's words were meaningless and vile. Now, returning back to the matter at had, Kinpatsu must have been surprised to hear that his two mercenary-posing corpses had swapped sides and been released from their mortal bonds, so what was he to do? They were his battle strategy. So, he simply animated two meaningless bodies with no names, two homeless bums that meant nothing to the greater world and would hide their appearance, intially, hoping that if he was able to stir up any emotions within the Sennin, hopefully exploiting her, then he would have the chance to strike.

So, when the feminine voice spoke, falsely, it was actually a Genjutsu. Initially, the technique would move softly until it reached Kinnaku, leaving Asagao completely out-of-range and free from its grasp, as Kinpatsu believed she awas truly alone.

(If you'd like a link to the Kinjutsu topic just ask in our PMs :3)

It didn't take long for Asagao to notice the Genjutsu take a hold of her. There had been a slight change in her behavior, the way she moved was askew. Her normal graceful walk had been replaced by a stiff, rigid movement, and the way she had cut off all communication, not having said a word in several minutes was also a giveaway that something was wrong.

Holding back, he would make no sudden movements and remain right where he was for the time being. His first inclination was, of course, to cancel the hypnotic spell and release Oba from it's suggestive grip. But what good would that actually do, besides reveal his position, effectively killing all chance of surprise. Kinpatsu had been expecting Oba, that much was clear, and having the upper-hand was more important than ever now; they could not afford to blow this golden opportunity, as it may be the only one they get. The spell was obviously small in size, concentrated only on a single target, which was why Asagao had not been affected: Kinpatsu didn't know he was there.

Waiting cautiously, he would continue to observe from the shadows, a snake coiled up ready to strike when the perfect moment presented itself.

ooc: I didn't really know what to say, but this is your story, so just lead on. =)

Kinpatsu would slither out from the darkness, his two corpses, walking by his side. The revealed identities of the two corpses would be that of a young woman, a Chunnin, and slightly out-of-date Genin, an older male. If Asagao was intune with his sensing abilities, he may be able to sense that these two corpses - albeit under Kinpatsu's control - didn't have any significant strength, meaning; Kinpatsu was only able to kill them due to the fact that they were too weak to fight. The man in question, the beast of a human, was a withered-looking old git with long brown bushy hair. He wore a very demanding smile upon his wrinkled expression as he closed in on Kinnaku.

As he walked from the shadows, his robe would rested gently against his body, and his holster of kunai would jangle with every step. "Somehow you managed to convert your brother and sister, although I shouldn't be too surprised... I owned them and yet wasn't even able to read their thoughts? My mistake..." He would chuckle, rubbing his hand against the young woman, the Chuunin, as her empty shell could do nothing but obey that slick monster. "I won't make that mistake with you, though. I'll kill you," His wrinkled sausages shook vigorously as he closed in, approaching the woman until he was on an arms length away, "And then I'll reanimate you, but I'll leave your consciousness intact... I'll want you alive, just long enough to feel my penetrate your life... And, well, you."

Just gently enough, the creeper would coil his fingers around the Sennin's next; tightening his grip and unraveling his defenses.

He really was an idiot: totally unaware of Asagao's presence. However, now would be the time to strike.

[Bad post on my part, it'll get better, sorry!]
