For the most part, Naomi is quiet and reserved, preferring to keep to herself. Having been rather sickly in her childhood, she has very few experiences interacting with others her age, and consequently remains on the introverted side. Coupled with the occasional bullying due to her status as a physically frail orphan, she is not particularly quick to trust others. However, this does not mean she dislikes people; if approached, she responds cordially, but subconsciously, she continues to distance herself from those who approach her, resulting in her continued solitude. As a result, Naomi often goes unnoticed and unremembered; just another face in the background that may or may not have even been there.
With no relationships to value, Naomi's first priority is herself. She harbors no feelings of attachment to people, places, or things, and is able to make rational decisions to sacrifice almost anything and anyone without any hesitation whatsoever. As she herself does not appear physically or mentally superior to others, people tend to get the impression that she is selfish and arrogant for no good reason, making it even harder for her to develop any sort of feelings of concern for them. Naturally, this self-perpetuating cycle is not particularly conducive to making friends, and gives her some trouble in team-based activities.
Naomi usually keeps a tight rein on her emotions, allowing her to remain externally unperturbed by the disparaging gazes and remarks that she frequently receives. Inwardly though, she does feel saddened and is not at all impervious to the loneliness gnawing away at her from within. It has been observed on occasion that when Naomi is pushed beyond the limits of her patience, she reacts violently, taking great pleasure in both wanton destruction of her surroundings and inflicting physical and psychological pain to her tormentors. After she has calmed down, she is immediately confronted by her own sense of guilt, but not knowing how to make amends, chooses to flee and isolate herself.
