Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Nagisa was never one for Genjutsu. She much preferred ninjutsu but during her time as a shinobi she found that genjutsu does have its place and can really help her as a shinobi. After much study, she found that visual genjutsu worked best. If she could disorient her opponents, it would allow her to heal her allies and attack. It would be the best-case scenario but if she was forced to use this they were in trouble. Still it was an option and she liked having options on the table especially if those options caused problems for her enemies. Always expect trouble and trouble will never surprise you.

Nagisa was like running water most days naturally. She would flow from one problem to one problem as surely as water flows downhill and sometimes it felt like it was always going downhill. She did not let the stress show for she was the epitome of going with the flow. For her allies in danger, she would rush to their aid for her charges were her children. No one harms her children and gets away unscathed and the Eye of the Hurricane will make all enemies bow before her as all who face the oncoming storm must. To heal her allies she will face any storm and for her allies she brings the storm.

Nagisa used jutsu every day in her life leading up to be a Sennin. She was a medical person so she needed jutsu to save lives. When the water abilities she has needed water jutsu to function. So after many years of hard work, jutsu came naturally to her. Her handsigns were flawless and she knew what jutsu she needed. She was not an office worker. She was applying her trade every day making sure the village was healed up. She over exerted herself sometimes but her natural ability to heal via water allowed her to have access chakra. Still the practice paid off and now minor jutsu don’t seem to cost her much of anything. Enough to stop bleeding from anyone.

Timing is everything especially those who work in fast past environments. This was true of all shinobi since a split second could be the different between life and death. However, this was more true for Nagisa since she was also saving the lives of people in the ER. When someone came in almost bleeding out, every second mattered and she was not going to waste it. This involves her always being prepared. In battle she uses it to prepare one of her medical jutsu if it is needed because while she was strong, not all of her allies were as strong. She needed to make sure they could survive.

In a hospital, everything is constantly changing. People being discharged, people being brought in. It was devastating for one who could not make decisions quickly. Nagisa lost that hesitation when she was a medical leaf in training. She worked the ER unit under supervision and she was so used to deciding in a split second, she sometimes forgot other people could not. It frustrated her at times but she was patient with most people. Still, her quick reaction time has saved the lives of many people and will hopefully save other people’s lives as well. She has been known to surprise her enemies with a blast of water jutsu to the face when she is attacked. It is all due to her training.

Nagisa is a headstrong woman. She does not kowtow to those that would bully her and she has always proven herself when the time came to do so. This made people not like her but she could care less. As a shinobi, this stubbornness allows her to overcome some genjutsu since she decides her own fate not others. One enemy shinobi thought they could genjutsu her into submission and found out the hard way that Nagisa does not fall for such cheap tricks. That shinobi ended up being trapped in her water prison while she called for ANBU to pick up the shinobi. She thinks he survived the water prison.

5. Elementalist
She was a jutsu master. She preferred elemental jutsu especially water jutsu. She has been using water jutsu since she was a little girl. As a student she was known to use a vicious and accurate water whip for anyone that messed with her. It got her in trouble sometimes but she was no one’s fool or pusharound. Since graduating as a student, she used water jutsu to heal people something not everyone can do. She has also trained in Wind, fire and lightning jutsu. She is constantly trying to master every element she could. She would use these jutsu to protect her own custom family.

6. Conservative motion
Part of knowing when to act is when not to act. In those high stress situations, every movement mattered. An unnecessary step was as deadly as any kunai or medical slipup. As such she thought first and acted a quick second afterwards. Even enemies who liked to confuse her found it difficult to make her slip up. She was always surefooted and would not let her enemies make her move in a way that she did not want to move. She was a strong shinobi and she was not going to be told what to do unless ordered by the Hokage to do so.

Those that fought always found a fighting style that worked with them. Nagisa used ninjutsu mostly. She loved to combo ninjutsu together to cause devastating effect. She has found that she also does enjoy a little bit of taijutsu. Her weapon of choice, the surgeon’s glove, a weapon that can switch between punching and slashing. It was her favorite weapon and could combine both ninjutsu and taijutsu. With her weapon equipped she could get off some good combination attacks. She would still rpefer ninjutsu but even her ninjutsu can be combined. Enemies facing her would see who she was called the Eye of the Hurricane.

8 Combat Instinct
Anyone who knows hospitals knows that the ER is always a battlefield. At any moment you can go from normal to crisis to even more crisis. Sa Nagisa has had her share of hospital battlefields and actual battlefields. She knew which enemies or patients needed to be taken care of first. Once they were finished, one or another, she would move to the next threat. And she would do this until the “battle” was over. There was no time to be overwhelmed by the opponents, be that an enemy shinobi or an illness. Each would be dealt with in order they arrived and not a moment sooner.

9 Weapon Attunement
Nagisa was not a taijutsu user but she found that her main weapon, the Surgeon’s Glove. It was a weapon that she used in battle for damaging enemies. In a pinch it could be carefully used for emergency surgery on allies nearly dead on the battlefield. But she had used this weapon so much it was almost awkward for her to not use it in one way or another. She had saved lives and slain enemies with these weapons and she was not going to stop using them. Her abilities allow her to use water to guide her weapon attacks. She will use whatever it takes to heal those around her and hurt those who attack her family.

Elemental Spirit - Passive
Elemental are spiritual beings born of the five natural elements --or some combination therein--, and the power of this element flows through their soul. They may manipulate this element freely, and it seems to bend and twist in their presence to serve their whim.

Effect:
- Upon creating their contract, the owner must choose a single element for their Contract. This [chosen element] must be stated in their Dojo, with Advanced Elements treated as their Major Element.
- The user is considered Spiritual.
  • Should a character have the Archsage Kinjutsu, their Senjutsu Manipulation ability's alignment becomes Spiritual rather than Holy .

- The user generates elemental Sprites during battle. The user may have up to 3 Sprites at a time.
A Sprite appears when;
  • The user takes [chosen element] damage,
  • The user casts a [chosen element] Jutsu B-rank or higher.
  • The start of a round when the user maintains a [chosen element] Jutsu (stacks).

A Sprite works as follows;
  • Sprites are targetable, and are dispersed on any hit.
  • All Sprites the user has active appear as "clones" of the user (automaticlly) during the first 3 seconds of a round. This does not count toward any Clone Jutsu limits.
  • A Sprite may be sacrificed to reduce the cost of a single [chosen element] jutsu by 30%. Jutsu cast this way do not require handseals or movement.
  • Upon a Sprite being destroyed by an attack, the user may reflexively cast a B-rank or lower [chosen element] jutsu which targets the one who destroyed the Sprite.

Special move
Elemental Shroud - Independent Special Move
As spirits born of the elements, they may take on a more abstract form more closely resembling their elemental makeup, granting them stronger attunement...which can be both a boon and a weakness.

Effect: May be active up to 30 seconds. While active, the user has the following effects;
  • Applies the effect of the Special Composition augment [Link] to each of the user's actions
  • The user has access to Affinity Moves [link to UBR] with any Ninjutsu, even if they do not meet the requirement for that affinity.
  • If the user takes damage from their [opposing element], it is always treated as having the maximum damage modifier bonus (+50% by default)..
Cost: 1.5 AP to activate/deactivate. 2% Max CP/Rnd

Note:
- Upon ending, has a 10 second cooldown before it may be used again.
- For the purpose of taking increased damage, Fire < Water < Earth < Lightning < Wind < Fire.

Contract Senjutsu
Natural Disaster - Elemental Senjutsu
In ages past, primitive cultures had often worshipped the Elemental spirits as deific figures for their power of weaving elemental power with the Natural energies of the world. Failing to maintain their grace or mistakingly invoking their anger was a swift way for the environment to be blown through by a fierce hurricane, infernal volcanic eruption, terrible earthquake, and other such catastrophic event.

Effect: Upon cast, and at the start of every round active, all entity-like targets in battle take 2200 [Chosen Element] damage; this damage is not considered an attack, and is automatic. Those who cast a jutsu of the [chosen element] or its opposing element during the previous round are uneffected by this damage. Once per round, all in battle may choose one jutsu of this [chosen element]; this jutsu will automatically activate its Secondary Effect (though if it requires an additional chance, it will still need to be rolled as usual).

Cost: 3 AP and 2000 CP. 1000 Cp/Rnd

Note(s):
- Terrain jutsu.
- Jutsu subtype is chosen when the contract creature is designed; determining its accuracy and damage type.
- Secondary Effect chance of the jutsu will activate, however if it requires further chances those will be rolled as normal. Example; if used with a Jutsu that has the "Paralysis [Link]" effect, the 16% chance of "Paralysis" activating will be automatic, but "Paralysis's" innate 10% chance of causing an auto-fail would -not- be automatic.
- For this jutsu, an entity-like target is considered to be something capable of fighting and performing some kind of action such as a Clone or Creation. Targets such as Traps will not be affected unless they are somehow hit in the process of targeting an entity (such as a barrier protecting an eligible target).
- At all ranks, other combatants must pass a [Jutsu type of the Senjutsu] Check against the user at -2 in order to cast an Arena jutsu, or their own Terrain jutsu. If the opponent successfully casts their own Terrain jutsu, this one is dispelled.
- For the purpose of opposiing elements that cancel out the damage, Fire < Water < Earth < Lightning < Wind < Fire.
- The Overcharge Secondary Effect may not be activated through the use of this Senjutsu.

Elemental Spirit - Passive
Elemental are spiritual beings born of the five natural elements --or some combination therein--, and the power of this element flows through their soul. They may manipulate this element freely, and it seems to bend and twist in their presence to serve their whim.

Effect:
- Upon creating their contract, the owner must choose a single element for their Contract. This [chosen element] must be stated in their Dojo, with Advanced Elements treated as their Major Element.
- The user is considered Spiritual.
  • Should a character have the Archsage Kinjutsu, their Senjutsu Manipulation ability's alignment becomes Spiritual rather than Holy .

- The user generates elemental Sprites during battle. The user may have up to 3 Sprites at a time.
A Sprite appears when;
  • The user takes [chosen element] damage,
  • The user casts a [chosen element] Jutsu B-rank or higher.
  • The start of a round when the user maintains a [chosen element] Jutsu (stacks).

A Sprite works as follows;
  • Sprites are targetable, and are dispersed on any hit.
  • All Sprites the user has active appear as "clones" of the user (automaticlly) during the first 3 seconds of a round. This does not count toward any Clone Jutsu limits.
  • A Sprite may be sacrificed to reduce the cost of a single [chosen element] jutsu by 30%. Jutsu cast this way do not require handseals or movement.
  • Upon a Sprite being destroyed by an attack, the user may reflexively cast a B-rank or lower [chosen element] jutsu which targets the one who destroyed the Sprite.

Special move
Elemental Shroud - Independent Special Move
As spirits born of the elements, they may take on a more abstract form more closely resembling their elemental makeup, granting them stronger attunement...which can be both a boon and a weakness.

Effect: May be active up to 30 seconds. While active, the user has the following effects;
  • Applies the effect of the Special Composition augment [Link] to each of the user's actions
  • The user has access to Affinity Moves [link to UBR] with any Ninjutsu, even if they do not meet the requirement for that affinity.
  • If the user takes damage from their [opposing element], it is always treated as having the maximum damage modifier bonus (+50% by default)..
Cost: 1.5 AP to activate/deactivate. 2% Max CP/Rnd

Note:
- Upon ending, has a 10 second cooldown before it may be used again.
- For the purpose of taking increased damage, Fire < Water < Earth < Lightning < Wind < Fire.

Contract Senjutsu
Natural Disaster - Elemental Senjutsu
In ages past, primitive cultures had often worshipped the Elemental spirits as deific figures for their power of weaving elemental power with the Natural energies of the world. Failing to maintain their grace or mistakingly invoking their anger was a swift way for the environment to be blown through by a fierce hurricane, infernal volcanic eruption, terrible earthquake, and other such catastrophic event.

Effect: Upon cast, and at the start of every round active, all entity-like targets in battle take 2200 [Chosen Element] damage; this damage is not considered an attack, and is automatic. Those who cast a jutsu of the [chosen element] or its opposing element during the previous round are uneffected by this damage. Once per round, all in battle may choose one jutsu of this [chosen element]; this jutsu will automatically activate its Secondary Effect (though if it requires an additional chance, it will still need to be rolled as usual).

Cost: 3 AP and 2000 CP. 1000 Cp/Rnd

Note(s):
- Terrain jutsu.
- Jutsu subtype is chosen when the contract creature is designed; determining its accuracy and damage type.
- Secondary Effect chance of the jutsu will activate, however if it requires further chances those will be rolled as normal. Example; if used with a Jutsu that has the "Paralysis [Link]" effect, the 16% chance of "Paralysis" activating will be automatic, but "Paralysis's" innate 10% chance of causing an auto-fail would -not- be automatic.
- For this jutsu, an entity-like target is considered to be something capable of fighting and performing some kind of action such as a Clone or Creation. Targets such as Traps will not be affected unless they are somehow hit in the process of targeting an entity (such as a barrier protecting an eligible target).
- At all ranks, other combatants must pass a [Jutsu type of the Senjutsu] Check against the user at -2 in order to cast an Arena jutsu, or their own Terrain jutsu. If the opponent successfully casts their own Terrain jutsu, this one is dispelled.
- For the purpose of opposiing elements that cancel out the damage, Fire < Water < Earth < Lightning < Wind < Fire.
- The Overcharge Secondary Effect may not be activated through the use of this Senjutsu.
