What is a Medical Nin?
Medical-Nin contributes to the village in a multitude of ways, as well as pursuing their own passions within the field. Akin to that of scientists, they are allowed to travel outside of Fire Country to further their learning and ongoing research of items of their choice; which directly contribute to the technology of Konohagakure. On the opposite end of the spectrum is that of combat specialists, front line fighters who are able to boost their combat prowess while attending to the wounded in sticky situations! All the while, these individuals are expected to participate in mending the wounded within the village, as well as being a leading example for Medical-Nin in Training.
What are the Medical ranks in the branch?
The ranks for the Medical Branch in Konoha are as follows:
- Medic-in-Training (MiT):
- A medical-nin in training, or MiT, has decided to pursue the occupations held within the Konohagakure Medical Corporation; either through deciding via a medical internship or pass an exam held by a Medical Chief or the Medical Sennin. On rarer occasions will one be accepted via recommendation.
- MiT holds the duty of continuing to improve the village while dedicating themselves to further studies in improving their own unique skill sets. You will find a lot of Medics within the corporation study their own specific items to add a unique stamp of their success, along with failures, to the Konohagakure research.
- Medical Nin:
- Medical personnel is the glue that holds the branch together, without this key component there wouldn't be Medical Branch. Often those of this particular position can be found researching further advancements for the overall benefit of the village or on the front lines ensuring the overall safety of comrades during treacherous missions.
- Medical Chief:
- Medical Chiefs are often the goals of most Medical-Nin, leading the way for the future and ensuring that the branch is properly taken care of. Chiefs are known to have shown exemplary leadership and skills and that losing them will damage the morale and efficiency of the Medical Corps. Depending on the number of chiefs, one is considered the left and/or right hand to the Sennin. Upon obtaining this rank, one is able to travel to other villages and act as diplomats for the branch, pending the Sennin approval.
- Sennin:
- The Medical Sennin is the commander of the Konohagakure Medical Corporation. Difficult decisions are often made while in this position, ranging from the direction the branch will head to the interaction with other village diplomats.
The Sub-Branches:
The two primary divisions within the Medical Corporation is the Research Department and Medical Combat Experts.
- Research Division:
- Medical researchers pride themselves on exploring the inner regions of Hi no Kuni and often dabble on the outskirts to search into additional items of interest in hopes of discovering answers to the unknown. Periodically quests end up taking medical personnel to other countries. To stamp one's legacy and cement their name onto the village is often a goal of many in the department for their finds.
- Medical Combat Division:
- Terror on the fields of combat does not sway those within this particular division. Honing their skills, many are capable of not only defensive techniques but offensive to aid in delivering deadly blows to the enemy. Often the members of this division are described as steel trap minds and holding a strong sense of duty to ensure the safe return of those fighting alongside them in battle.
