Shinobi 101: Kinetic gen with nin acc
ANBU: Sentinel
Tracker
The first month of his induction into anbu was spent learning to track people and animals, even certain traveling devices and jutsus. From anything to minute changes in sand, to broken twigs and scuffed rocks. It was a very subtle, and delicate art to learn. He had no trouble picking it up however, as it was in his blood to be observant, perhaps literally. He did have trouble with slightly lighter subjects, such as petite women and small animals but that came with the training, and would eventually be a skill he could rely on moving forward into his career.
Stalker
After tracking people became a skill he could do, stalking them was next. It was a lot easier of a thing to do when one could manipulate the very shadows ninjas are known to hide in. Not only could he darken them, shape them and move them, but he could remove them and brighten a target up, letting them glow like a beacon that says 'you're my target and I know where you are'. He would use this skill in the future to hunt those that wrong his family. Sand didn't know it at the time, but they were creating their future ruler and worst enemy.
Elementalist
During his stay at the academy he was trained by tutors in the art of elemental manipulation. It was advanced, something kids don't get until their chuunin some times. Did that mean he got it right away? No, it was the worst part of his growing up, as it required legit effort. In the genius or effort arguement, this was the arguement for effort being the winner. While he could bend shadows like they were his own limbs, he couldn't do some of the more basic ones people were better at, or rather attuned to, that was until he got tutored to do so.
Elemental Illusion
Mind over matter, one of the core tennants of his fighting style and really, the way he lives his whole life. He didn't come out of every test he's taken tired, but not injured, because he was lucky. It was through a series of illussions, shadow manipulation, observancy and just enough physical prowess to dodge the rest that managed to make it through. This ability was formed through his tutor training as well as some independent study including library books, seal practice, and some light civilian practice. One might think it's creepy he studied manipulation of people on his own, and nobody knows what civilian practice entailed, but well we all live in a ninja world and it's pretty common place here.
Called Shot/Human Anatomy
Everyone in school practiced this at one point in time, precision attacking of joints and soft spots. They were given wooden dummies with little pads attached. Hyper sensitive sensors attached to the dummys on the basic weak points, that would light up if a direct hit was made. It was rudimentary, but it served the purpose well for what it was and who was getting taught. He was never good at taijutsu, he didn't really have the frame or natural energy for it, but he did pick up the important parts of it as he grew up. Such as where applying the least pressure does the most damage or how to convert an enemies energy against them in combat. This required two things, practice for accuracy as well as study of the human form. Books covered the science, and there were many, from art of combat to actual medical books with human anatomy labeled with tons of information given, and another tutor covered his practice. Looking back on his growth, he wondered how less fortunate individuals managed to pass their exams and move on to become amazing ninja. It was something that would require further study at a later point, perhaps he would make a straw poll.
Willpower
One who was trained as extensively inside and out as he was, would have the willpower to pull anything off, even if the body wasn't physically capable of doing so, the willpower to try would remain, even if it failed. He was trained in the art of fighting off genjutsu, using sheer willpower in case he was bound and unable to form seals or hurt himself. This was an example of his overall personality, the type to always have a way out, or a way in. His mind was just as much of a fortress as his body to him, even more so in some cases.
