Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was nothing new or innovative in terms of how he manipulated small throwing weapons, mainly because when you're able to create them at will it becomes second nature. This was the case with his Projectile proficiency in that instead of actual metal weapons, he used those create by his chakra nature. Far easier was it to control something tethered to your design than was it to master a tool not of your making. Equally it was far more utility in using shape transformation with his chakra since he could make a simple kunai or a volley of senbon to fit a given situation.

Experience was a better teacher than the words of others and when you have survived decades in this world you learn a thing or two. Being able to regulate how much effort and chakra placed into your jutsu as a shinobi was one of them. Albeit he has not been a shinobi for over a decade, as a wandering mercenary those lessons still hold true. He knew not to over exert his reservoirs and equally knew all to well how to efficiently make use of casting jutsu without using half the normal chakra required to do so. This allowed him to fight longer and tire slower.

Movement speed, muscle memory, weapon handling..all of these were aspects of Kyourin's skill which were honed throughout his life. He was never a prodigy or genius but one of those who attained efficiency through experience over the long years of his life. Such things as weapon creation or item retrieval were second nature and could be done in a timely fashion as long as his instincts were sharp enough and his insight keen on whichever situation needed it. Many times a shinobi whether current or former would have found their lives challenged, where the slightest mistake in ability could lead to death. His resolution to be quicker was a resolution of his will to survive.

Hidden Power said:
He was not alone in body and spirit, accompanied by a totem which although different in thought and opinion, shared a simple reality. To die was to no longer exist and through this understanding came with it benefits of his symbiotic relationship with his totem. In exchange for a host to serve as a vessel for the spirit's ideals and unfulfilled desires, he would attain powers far beyond the grasp of humanity. Calling upon those abilities and strengths were up to his own will with the exception of the totem's surge. The more pressed to remain alive his situation called for, the more his totem would intervene by bestowing more power than intended. It was not simple grace to which his totem held a hand in keeping him alive but through the mutual will to remain in existence.

Jutsu Mastery said:
Being a man of a relative small list of skill, there was a pride in him that what little he knew in the grand scheme of things, he knew very well. There was no seeking to become effective in everything but to become a master at which he directly saw fit to use. This made him brush off notions of chasing genius or prodigy titles as it was a waste to chase after which you would not use to simply say you were aware of it. To him, his skills were just that, skills which defined who he was. Those skills he mastered were cause of projected use through his life and not when an obscure situation called for it.

Quick movement through experience and training was simple compared to the quick thinking an situational preparedness required to be insightful. Reading into movements and predicting outcomes were all apart of acting before needed to achieve a result much faster than required. It was not something that cause be taught over time but a trait that surfaced the more one experienced certain memorable steps. Recognizing an outcome at step one could lead to changing the course of events by intercepting the end game before it arrived. In his case, Kyourin's insight had molded in a way that was self serving to his bodies on drive to survive in that he acted on impulses of self other than cues from others.

There was no more of a hallowed virtue amongst warriors of all sects, backgrounds, and professions than the fact that you never take your attention away from who you are fighting. It was perceived to be pure recklessness and unless you had a latent ability that could make up for it, was usually a sentence of death or serious injury. To this, Kyourin never took his eye off whatever target or prey had become fixed in his sight. He never allowed himself to give a blatant advantage to others and expose himself in such ways. Absolute focus and attention, this was a creed of a warrior and nature of a hunter.

Combat Instinct said:
There was an instinct for every facet of life, a natural impulse which was simply built into the very core of an individual. Many never become aware of where their natural instincts lay until an unforeseen event triggers it's surfacing. This was not the case for him as a life filled with danger and unknown certain in battle had made him fully aware of his instincts. To put it in simple terms and explanation Kyourin had a killer instinct. The closer to death or victory, the more responsive and aware his body became, flooding his skills with boosted amounts of vigor.

Martial Artist said:
He was not a man of style, being that unlike most shinobi he did not come under some tutelage in regards to how he should or could fight. There was no set stance or series of movements to refine and there were no such things as martial arts within his tribal group. What he had was something much more simple and effective as far as standards went. It was knowledge of how to manipulate his chakra natures that built upon the gifts bestowed upon him by his blood and birth. He did not need to perfect a stance or art because he like other Katai were already the embodiment of a fighting will.

Repetition, repetition, repetition....it is the only way to turn something from a vague ability into an integral part of what you do day in and day out. Warriors, beyond their weapons and skills also had unique or learned ways of utilizing them to suit their needs. Shinobi were no different and by extension neither was he as his unique marker was an ability to expand his known jutsu to target multiple enemies. Being self reliant he was never one to work in a team so he naturally developed ways and methods to entrap multiple entities without having to waste effort on single target jutsu.

He was born into a group of humans who had in their written and oral history had always been touched by the blood and essence of ice. The chakra from the womb to first breath was imbued within them, their gift a realization of greater understanding. He was a Katai, who made shinobi extremely proficient with water and wind chakra manipulation. Being no different, his natural affinity meant that time usually allotted into learning new techniques was instead focused on mastering and expanding the abilities of his birthright. The elements of wind and water, mastered were but the base to his talent with ice.
