Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Asuka made her way with her niece and nephews to the place Umashi had written down. She scoffed a bit as she took in the view knowing full well that this was his choice, because, Yomi God knows she would not have ever dreamed of putting them here. She didn't know what Yomi would think, but, she had a good guess. It was too late to change though and she wouldn't even harp on it after her initial questioning of why he thought a mountain was good place to rest their head. She yawned as she swapped MIchiko into the stroller and pulled out Yasuo who was always excited to be with Asuka. He was a little jokester, and always managed to get her usual un-moving face to crack a smile. He must've picked up on it and did his best to make his only aunt smile.

"Guess who's coming to see you?"
Asuka asked in a sing song voice as she fluffed out his hair and did a little dance with him. "Are you excited? Not more than me! Your sister is a handful, yes she is!" Yasuo bopped the woman in her face and giggled as they all waited for his dad to arrive. Though the boys were identical twins, the energy that Yasuo gave off was much more like his mother's energy, an even flow of light and dark, whereas Kato was much more light making it easy for them all to distinguish - at least for now. Kato, barely gave any issue, seeing as he could sleep through an apocalypse and for that, Asuka was thankful. She had no idea what she would have done if he was as rambunctious as his sister.

"He will be here any minute now! Yes yes yes!" Asuka made as silly face mimicking that of her nephew while waiting.

Looking on at the doorway leading into his home, Umashi stood out in the snow letting it fall around him as he mentally prepared himself for this moment. Tucked tightly against his body were the papers for his family and their new name and their new identities. With them they could start anew and only the shrewed and generally nosy would be any the wiser. At least, that's what Umashi hoped. For a fact there was no such thing as freedom or peace in this life but for his children he could at least offer that reprieve. Taking a deep breath, he sighed and continued to walk forward as he approached the door and put a hand to it, opening it slowly to greet a small part of his family. Warm, cozy, spacious and utterly very inviting, he stepped into the large main living room as he kicked off his shoes and hung up his snow covered cloak as he took off the blank ANBU mask that he'd been wearing before. Pulling the sealed papers from his satchel before also hanging it up, he made his way towards Asuka and children. Not seeing Yomi, he enthusiastically greeted his children and his sister-in-law. The questions would have to wait till later.

"Wow! Look how big you three have gotten!" Despite his best effort, despite his best smile, in that moment Umashi realized that he didn't know how to be a father. To be a medic and save lives was easy, advanced surgeries, dodge ninjutsu; heck, being the Hokage was easy. To be a father though, and to have to look into his children's eyes and not be able to tell them of all the dangers that lay just outside of the doors, or to be able to promise to hold and protect them forever was harder than all of those other things combined. Asuka would no doubt pick up on his trepidation. He loved his children, he loved his family, but unfortunately the life that they were born into hadn't allowed him to be the father that they truly needed. He'd do his best to make up for the lost time, he'd even try to be a good man for them, but in there would be regrets that he'd have to reconcile with at some point or another. As he got down on the floor to gather and embrace his children, he'd set the papers on a nearby table and speak to Asuka while trying to connect with the triplets. "Yamamoto, that's the new family name and Yomi and I will be Musashi and Rei. It's the best that I could do although our shinobi files are sealed." Smiling at the kids, he'd continue to try and connect with them, because it was all that he had at this point.

If Michiko could, she would have jumped out of her seat to greet her dad. Asuka often wondered what happened between when he found her and when he got back to Konoha that made their bond so strong, even as they spent a lot of time apart. It was genuinely heart warming to see and it almost made Asuka want to forgive him...almost. She was petty.

Askua reached to undo the little girl's strap in order for her father to hoist her out of her stroller. Kato stirred a little, yawning and adjusting his comfort level in his seat, but didn't fully awaken. Really, he could sleep through anything. The woman also handed off Yasuo to Umashi, as she walked around her new home. It was no penthouse, and certainly no dinky cottage in the woods, but, it would have to do. As her brother told her their new names, she was quick to correct him whipping her head back to look at him.

"Yomi is already Rei." It came out more snappy than she intended, remembering that there was a lot that he still did not know and it was not her place to divulge. "...I apologize. It's...been a long trip. You have no idea how hard it is to travel alone with three kids." An unintended jab.

"Normally Besito does the heavy lifting, but, Yomi sent him out to deliver a message, so, I was solo. He should be here any day now though. We practically had to fight him to leave the kiddo's side since he's extremely protective." Besito was in fact, a good doggo.

"The names are fine." The woman sat down on a nearby couch running her hands through her head with a sigh.

"Yomi should be coming any day as well." Not wanting to linger on the whereabouts of the man's wife for too long, Asuka quickly changed the subject. "By the way, have you seen Kaori yet? She should be here in Kumo. We...bumped into her in Tea Country. She's very excited to meet her siblings. " Asuka gave a small chuckle and shook her head as she listened to the words that came out of her mouth. There really was so much that Umashi didn't know. Just talking to him right now was an exercise in speaking half truths and although she could be good at it, she was too tired to make it sound good. She really wished Yomi was here so she could finally mind her own, single-person, unmarried business.

Letting Asuka calmly "pop off", Umashi focused on the kids as he gave Michiko a big kiss on the cheeks before giving each of his sons a kiss on the forehead. Though he couldn't quite put his finger on it, there was a drawing to the boys that he didn't quite share with Michiko. With her, there was an emotional bond based on the moment that he'd found her. She might not ever remember it once she grew up, but there would always be that love and feeling of being whole. No doubt it had to do with the peculiar alignments that they shared with their parents. With Kato, Umashi could almost read his mind on an emotional level and he yawned despite not exactly being tired. Apparently Kato was about as excited as he always was . . . which was to say that he was extra cool, calm and collected. With Yasuo, there was the opposite almost. The eldest of the boys was determined to place his little hands all over his fathers face.

"I can't wait until she's here . . ." Though he was playing mindless baby games with the children, he took a moment to acknowledge Yomi's pending arrival. "I appreciate the sacrifice that you made to bring the children here, alone. It means a lot to me and I promise to make it up to you in time." Though he spoke cordially, he and Asuka weren't friends. Family . . . sure, but friends they were not. It was his hope that one day they could be something of the sort but for now, being cordial would suffice. "I haven't seen Kaori but she could have come in while I was on a break from my watch. If she is in Kumogakure then I'll find her eventually." While he hadn't expected Kaori to be coming along for the ride, it wasn't that far fetched of an idea to believe. He and Yomi kept those that they deemed family, especially close. Kaori was a pretty good medic if he could recall. Her services could definitely be of some use while here.

Asuka was quiet at his response and simply nodded as he watched him interact awkwardly with his children, really, for the first time. It was a very sweet sight, despite their relationship struggles. Long ago she had decided that he was a good man even though a lot had transpired that upset her. Truthfully much of it was so tumultuous for Yomi that Asuka could not have let it go just off principal even if she wanted to. Only time would ease her mind and soften her to him again. For now, she would remain cordial for everyone's sake

She shifted back in the couch and closed her eyes. Perhaps a shower later, but, for now she was entirely too exhausted to move. Asuka had probably fallen asleep way before her eyes closed.

The First could have been sleep for a few moments, or a few days, she couldn't know for certain. She jumped up off the couch frazzled, clutching her stomach. She was starving. Honestly this was the first time since the kids were born that she had slept this hard and this long. She rubbed her face with her hands as she wandered around the new house, looking for the bathroom to use. After she was done, she came out, rubbing her hand against her chest as she felt a familiar tugging.

"About time Yomi..." She mumbled under her breath. Smoothing her hair back while trying to stifle a yawn, suddenly, food would have to wait. Asuka would find her brother to inform him that it was time to go. She'd watch as Umashi was completely out of his element as he tried to wrangle three kids together to get out the house. Her sister, their mother, and his wife had finally arrived in Kumo.
