Chapter 1: Chakra control
Kyoko's father was just about the put the finishing touches on his outfit by zipping his vest up when he looked toward his daughter's room and called out to her down the hall, " Alright Kyoko-chan, I'll be waiting down stairs"! The little girl's ears perked up at his statement and a sudden flood of tension washed over herself. She quickly ripped her clothes from her drawers and rushed down the stairs after him. As her father stood at the door, he looked back to find her slipping on her dress as she rushed down to meet him. " I was gonna wait for ya, you didn't need to rush dear", he said while patting her head. She panted slightly and nodded at her father," Okay father". The two of them slowly walked out to find the smell of flowers being carried on the wind. She closed her eyes and let her senses take in the warmth of the sun and contrasting cool wind which ruffled up her hair. As she stretched her arms out to the sky and felt her joints pop in her legs and arms, the sight of her father caught her attention. For you see they were surrounded by numerous story huts made of limestone. Tall structures with an upstairs of 2-3 bedrooms and a kitchen/living room combo on the ground floor. She stared off at him as he just about to bump into the wall. " hey fath--e--r whacha do--ing"?
The man effortlessly placed his foot firmly on the wall and began to scale it with ease. Although he couldn't completely defy the laws of gravity, he managed to walk up the wall nonchalantly. As he reached the roof, he turned around and looked down at his daughter with a grin. " Since you'll be going to the academy more and more often, I thought it'd be nice to teach my daughter a thing or two". He paused and looked at her dumbfounded expression, but honed in on her sharp fiery eyes. "Do you know how I did this"? The girl's eyes widened for a second, before she averted her gaze. " Haha don't get too down kyoko! This is nothing you've learned in school. Maybe? But anyways it's called chakra control".
Kyoko hit her palm with a sudden rush of enthusiasm and said, " its that something something thingy that is in all of us? and it lets us live and stuff"? He grinned and said, " Correct, it is in all of us. But it also lets you fight better and do amazing things like walk on water". Her ears perked up and face became a little red as she caught a glimpse of her dear old dad's mockingly smug expression. " that thing you do with your eyebrows is creepy dad", she said with her arms crossed. He chuckled slightly and held one index finger up, " but you want to try? no"? Her head begrudgingly turned to him and with a forced smile she nodded her head. With that her father jumped down and landed right before her with a grace unbefitting of a grown man from such a height. " Now I want you to do one thing, sit down and focus entirely on yourself". She stared at him with a glazed expression and said, "That's two things".
Just then she felt both his hands clamp onto her shoulders and a sudden force push her down to a criss cross applesauce position on the ground. " Drown all things. Let nothing else enter your mind. Explore your inner self and find the....tickle feeling". Her face wrenched into a flabbergasted expression and said, " tickle...feeling"? He nodded and said, " That's right. I know you can do it daughter". She scooched away as he gave her a thumbs up. Taking in a deep breath and exhaling just as long, the girl was preparing to drown everything out. But even so, her face didn't reflect that.
" Now now Kyoko. If'n you wanna be stronger. You gotta stop paying attention to the hot sun or hot ground. Concentrate"!
