Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Unsurprisingly, young Saito's path today takes him back to the Bibliotheca Conscientiae, though this time he has his most mysterious book under his arm. Known only to him as the legendary Treasure of the Kumo Queen, its pages bore a script he certainly did not know how to read. While others might've been stymied by, frustrated by, or otherwise dismissive of the incomprehensible book... to Saito, its pages held what must be the most secretive of riddles or knowledges, driving him to understand exactly what it took to learn how to read this thing.

After practicing his jutsu over the last several nights, Saito would take some time to look through the foreign language encoded on each page, seeing if he could piece together something -- anything -- about what any of it could mean. His efforts had seemingly been in vain until just last night, when he thought he saw a few words he might have recognized... words such as shinobi, war, and occasionally other such common words. Saito recognized them from his past studies of Vulgar Ancient Kumo however, and that connection led him to the library today. Confident that returning to master the Vulgar Kumo language would somehow help him understand the contents of the Kumo Queen's treasure, yet knowing his remaining time in Kumo was likely limited, his trek to the library today bore a specific and determined focus.

In his orphanage, the child would spend as much time as possible in the library, reading every book in there and consuming as much knowledge of the outside world as he could. The admittedly small library nevertheless had a diverse selection of books from travelers who passed through, several of them in Vulgar Ancient Kumo. The child had made progress over the years studying the language, piecing together the words and phrases that would allow him to understand the foreign books no one but a few of the eldest monks in the monastery could understand. The boy's studies had slacked a bit since leaving the monastery, the journey from the Eye of Raiden to Kumogakure leaving him no opportunity for the advancement of his linguistic skills. The Kumo Queen's treasure, written in a language that seemed related to the Vulgar Kumo but also somehow superseded it vastly, lit Saito's fire to work on his language skills once more. What better place to do so than Kumogakure itself?

Entering the library and making his way to Section P, the 9-year old soon arrived at the Linguistics section. Finding enough learning material to complete his understanding of the older tongue presented no real complications, and soon Saito became immersed in practicing his language comprehension. Hours later, the boy left the library, done for that day but prepared to return the next to hit the books twice as hard. On the way home he practiced speaking what he'd learned: "Γειά σου! Είμαι μαθητής από το χωριό που είναι κρυμμένο στα σύννεφα! Ελπίζω να γίνουμε καλοί φίλοι!"

The student took his time, and not a great many days had passed before he spoke and wrote the language confidently. "Είμαι τώρα ένα βήμα πιο κοντά στην κατανόηση του σπάνιου θησαυρού!" He kept careful track of his notes, knowing he did not have much longer in Kumo and wanting to keep up his practice while away, and his newest favorite book written in the language would keep his skills fresh with re-reads.

Soon, he knew... so soon, the REAL treasure of the Kumo Queen would be his.
