Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Raito knelt in front of his work. His cowl covering the lower half of his face like a makeshift respirator, as several cans of spray paint lay empty on the ground by his feet. He was proud of it. it was simple. s small message to hopefully get people thinking. Well, the other students at least. It was a message. a simple one, really, but a deep one nonetheless. He wanted people to realize how stupid this whole anarchy business was. against the white cream background of the sandstone walls, Raito wrote in deep red paint, symbolizing the blood spilled by all the innocent.
Evil Prevails When Good Men Do Nothing

The paint was dripping a little near the bottom, but it didn't matter. It looked more violent, more real to the world around them now. Raito stood up, his eyes as cold as the color they were. The "popular" kids come here, He thought to himself, The ones who never had to worry about the anarchy in the streets. The ones who are living safe with their families. Raito clenched his fists as he stared at his work. "Hopefully someone will understand..."

Hikari had been wandering the grounds, wanting to get to know the academy before she started her classes here. She had a mix of excitement and trepidation about beginning her education as a shinobi. It was a great responsibility, her mother had told her, and she should take care to remember these evil acts that they had been seeing all throughout the village so that she would always have a reason to keep trying, keep fighting. As Hikari walked, she heard the sound of a spray paint can being shaken and used. The students often talked about the Scroll Locker. They talked about meeting each other there after classes or little acts of defiance or bravery that they had committed there. This must be where they were talking about here query was confirmed when she turned the corner and saw a boy her age looking over his work Evil Prevails When Good Men Do Nothing was scrawled across the wall, the paint dripping and giving it a sinister apeal. That looks like something you'd see out in the streets She moved in front of his art to get a better look, pressing her hand against the wall. She removed it to look at the red stain that covered her finger tips and palm It's like blood. Red used to be my favorite color, you know

"I understand quite well. Problem is that you just did something people would consider evil...to tell people about evil. Kind of non-nonsensical don't you think?"</COLOR><i></i> Sarunishi licked his lips as he picked up one of the cans of spray paint. He shook it and it clattered, but he knew it to be empty. Flicking his wrist from his robes, his hand wreathed itself in flame as he smiled is more genuine smile which exposed the oddity of teeth he possessed. Placing his fingertips upon the upper part of the E Sarunishi ignited the fumes of the paint and began carving into the stone the message that had been written for now. He would slowly trace out the word Evil as time went on. The whole time his eyes were set upon his work, but he spoke and if the boy was perceptive he'd notice the secondary presence asserting itself from time to time.

"Why cause destruction? Why advocate hypocrisy?<COLOR color="orange">You'll know the world soon enough. It will consume you and you'll become everything you hate...or will you fight against the current and become something entirely unseen? I don't believe so."<i></i> Sarunishi's face seemed disappointed as he began work on Prevails. It was simple work, but he was belabouring it to take the time to talk. One could only be left with their thoughts for so long. "Well, rapscallion? Why should I leave you to your business and not cuff your ear to the authorities?"<i></i> He'd simply ignore the newcomer for now. "May wish to back up lest you want cinders for a future."<i></i>

[That blue is a bit harsh to read. May wish to reconsider.]

Raito tensed breifly with a start as the young girl walked into his line of sight. "Figured it's the only way to get a message across to people nowadays..." He muttered as she walked over and touched the fresh paint, clearly careful not to smear it, thankfully. wonder what her story is... "Can't say it was ever my favorite, but i did used to-" He cut his sentence short as a voice came from seemingly nowhere, as a creepy looking man came slinking from the shadows. Quite reactionary, Raito jumped back, away from the man, a small blade dropping from it's holster in his sleeve and landing in his hand, Raito holding it between himself and the man. He muscles were tense as the man spoke, and he clenched the knife as a secondary voice seemed to echo it's way from the same man. Is he one of the psycho escapees? Raito thought, panicked. No sense calling for help. No one would hear him. He kept his breathing as slow and quiet as possible, to avoid the obvious sense of panic, but his eyes would give away everything. He was scared, angry, feral; like a cornered beast, he had no where he could reasonable think to run, not with the girl here. I may not know her, but I sure as hell won't leave her...

"What authorities?" Raito then realized something, "You're not from Suna, are you?" He wasn't sure what was more terrifying; A psychotic escaped convict from the Cabal incident, or a Shinobi from another village with split-personality disorder. Neither really boded well for the young hooded boy. "If you've noticed, there's not much of a police force to report to. On top of all the riotous behavior happening all around us in the village, I'm pretty sure a little street art is the last thing any police figure would be worrying about right about now." Raito stepped closer to the girl, making sure that no sparks and cinders from the foreign ninjas carving would get on her. "Not to mention, you carving into the wall is a bit more destructive them some paint that can be washed off or covered up."

Hikari hadn't noticed the man come into the room behind her Had he been here the whole time and we didn't see? she thought to herself. She had been alerted to his presence only when the boy had jumped between her and him. She peaked around his shoulder and watched the man carving into the wall as the two spoke. could he be from another place. like the boy said? but what would he be doing here? With all the chaos, I can't imagine that anyone would want to come here The boy continued speaking, almost challenging the man! What are you doing! She hissed in his ear He'll kill us both! We have to get away, but how? she took a small breath and calmed her mind How? she doubted she could find a teacher before the man stopped her, but maybe she was getting ahead of herself, letting fear rule her thoughts. He certainly was acting like a lunatic, but what was he really doing here? what did he want from a couple of academy kids? She widened her stance slightly, ready to run when she saw the chance, but, like the boy, ready to fight if that's what it came to. Fists at her sides she looked at the man; What do you want from us? Why are you here?

"Just making your work permanent, kiddo. I'm your village's new executioner. Or so I'm told, but really I am a humble business man."<i></i> His smile widened as he was neither an escaped psychopath nor was he one with multiple personalities. He was simply a very large man of six feet and six inches. Upon his exceptionally tanned skin were cracks and striations of jade running about as if natural formations forming in his skin. Scuttling across his body from time to time were various insects that would hiss and pop into little flame puffs. "Real tough for children. Luckily I don't kill children anymore. Rules for myself, you see. I did that enough as a boy myself when my family was far more...volatile. I'm sure you've heard of Kyoujouran."<i></i> Sarunishi would wink at this. He'd no real affinity towards his family anymore, but he was one of their blood if not essentially an antediluvian.

By now, Sarunishi had moved his way forward, likely forcing the children away from the art. The paint would essentially shriek with flame as he dug into the earth without difficulty. It'd been carved into a new message as he stepped. Evil Prevails When Good Men Do Anything.<i></i> It was simply the truth as Sarunishi knew it. Upon finishing the modifications, he'd take a deep breathe in of the paint fumes as if they were nothing, snicker, and slide himself down along the wall. His free hand would place a finger to his lips. "I'd suggest not letting me catch you nere-do-wells doing such again. I know your smell. My companions know your taste and they are far less understanding of children than I am. I'd also suggest not threatening your betters with physical promises. While I might not kill you, I would most definitely break all of your bones or cripple you. Others may end you."<i></i> The more sinister nature in Sarunishi slunk forth with his words as it was true. He wouldn't kill, but he would maim.

"Simply, consequences. Now, as you were..."<i></i>

Suddenly and without real warning, Sarunishi rolled away towards the door as his bugs skittered about. Some would land themselves on and around the children, watching them, some shaking with an unnatural rage. Without physically being stopped by either of them he would be gone.

What an interesting man. Yami stood just outside the door. He leaned up against the wall. Im all for using fear as a tool to make a point, however their was a bit of overkill in that. Not interesting. Sad? No. Pointless? A little. Strange? Yes lets go with that. An interesting man could appear to be pleasant. This encounter did not sound pleasant. Yami continued to listen. Threats. He seems to be almost threatening children. No longer strange. Pathetic. What pathetic man. Im quite surprised Raito is keeping his cool. Proud of him.

Yami watched the man leave the room and walk past him. " Threaten my brother again and I will kill you. Yami smirked
"Since you don't kill kids I guess I can talk freely. Don't get me wrong Im young not stupid. To challenge you now would be suicide, however one day you will be old and weak, or maybe just venerable. He is the only reason I have to live. And you will not take that from me." Yami turned to walk inside "On a side note. I do hope we will fight together one day. You don't seem to be held down by the illusion of right and wrong. good and evil. Until next time."

Yami Walked inside. Ok now its your job to lighten the mood! "Raito you look upset. How about a hug? Nailed it

As the man left the room, Raito lowered his arms and relaxed his muscles. He hadn't realized how tense he was. Why? why was I so tense? I've been treatedned plenty of times in the past.. Raito looked at the girl behind him. she was touch, but her power level was weak, almost like that of the average citizen; Untrained, and unfocused. In contrast to the Foreigner, she felt feeble and small. Raito looked down at his hands. Defensive... go figure.. He hated himself for notbeing stronger. For not being able to stand up against men like him. "GODS BE DAMNED!!" He cursed, punching the wall, sending small cracks into the sandstone surface. Realizing he probably just made her uncomfortable with his loud outburst, Raito, still looking down, quickly said, "That was all the paint I had!" Smooth recovery, numbnuts...

He looked up at her, a weak smile on his face, "Sorry... Hope you're alright. I'm Hitoshi Raito, by the-" another interuption. I swear, I can't win. Raito thought, this time, noticing his brother, Yami, walking into the room. "Raito you look upset. How about a hug?" Did he just... Raito looked at him very quizzically. His twin, as dark and forboding as he normal seemed, just offered a hug. "You look like Yami... but yo're offering hugs... good gods almighty, what has this school done to you." Raito laughed loudly, grabbing his brother and pulling him into a warm embrace, whispering in his ear, "I'm glad you're here.."

Relinquishing him from his grasp, Raito turned to the girl once more. "Like I was saying, I'm Raito, and this is my brother, Yami." He flashed a big bright smile at the girl, trying to move passed the eerie encounter from earlier.

Hikari could find no sense of relief even after the terrifying man had left. She looked to the boy who made an exclamation about his lack of paint and introduced himself as Hitoshi Raito. Mid-sentence he was interrupted by.. himself? She looked between the two boys for a moment, baffled, they looked exactly the same. Wait, no, their eyes were slightly different. Twins! she realized. They embarrassed and, breaking apart to face her, Raito introduced his brother, Yami, with a huge grin. Too much she thought Too many odd things at one time. Calm yourself! I'm Suna Hikari. I... she trailed off, not sure what kind of conversation was appropriate for right after a life threatening experience. She looked to the door where the man had disappeared, then down to her paint stained hands It really does look like blood Steadying her resolve and banishing any thoughts of fear or unsurity, she looked to the boys I'm sure the "new village executioner" has more important and interesting things to do than to check up on a few delinquent kids. I'll help you find more paint for your art if you want? She looked from one to the other, not exactly sure which one she should be addressing Which is which?!

It worked! Holy crap! I did it! Yami was overwhelmed and for a moment aloud himself to show it. Only because know one could see him. Outside the room was a support pillar. or was there? The pillar disappeared. Yami standing where it was. false surroundings! I'm going to have fun with Genjutsu that's for sure. Yami walked in the door. Staring right at his brother the girl and... Himself.

"Surprise." Yami looked at Raito to make sure he cought his reaction. Poof! The Genjutsu clone of Yami vanished. Like I was going to make an open threat to an opponent without a plan. Ha! I'm not stupid. Nailed it. Yami walked over to his brother unaware of the confusion he had caused.

"We can always steal more paint." Yami stopped. He was so proud of his new abilities he just openly admitted they were theifs to a complete stranger. OK Smooth. You can recover from this. "Steal as in buy. From the store....the paint store. Where they sell paint. That we don't steal. That we buy." Nailed it.

Raito went in for his hug, but felt nothing. in fact, part of his arms passed through Yami a little. That little prick! alright, play it off, he did really good. continuing through the motions, he waited until he brother had dispelled the genjutsu and walked into the room. "You sneaky little bastard! come here!" He grabbed Yami for real this time and hugged him tighter than normal, and let go of him laughing. he then made a statement about stealing more paint, and, in the worst way possible, tried to cover it up. Sighing heavily as Yami made his "Totally Nailed it" face, where he smiled a sideways smirk and looks off into the distance briefly, I wonder if he even notices he does that, Raito said, "No need. I'll just have to do something different to get peoples attention. maybe something bigger... or more public... or both."

Raito was thinking about all the different things he could draw or write to get people's attention, to stand up to the Cabal, since from what he was observing, nothing was happening, and nothing was changing. It was as if all the shinobi had forgotten what they were fighting for. His smile faded as he looked at the wall, powerless. "I hate this..." He muttered aloud, "I hate that we have to just stand by and watch idly as wicked men take hold of our village, and burn our homes, and slaughter our families. I hate that no one seems to be doing anything to change it and are all just hiding, too afraid to fight back... I hate being scared..."

Raito was lost, and didn't know what to do. what if he never made it through the academy? what if something happened that the Cabal came and slaughtered them all before he had a chance to do anything himself? what if he failed in being able to protect his brother.. He stood there, silent, hoping something would change; hoping he would just wake up from this nightmare and be with his mother and father again, and that nothing bad had ever happened. "I hate The Cabal..."

Hikari looked between the two boys, then to the door as another boy walked in who looked just the same as the first two. What the heck is going on?! triplets?! She looked back and saw that one of them had disappeared Where did he... it was the same one? Baffled , she rolled her eyes, whatever tricks they were up too, she wouldn't let them catch her unawares again. Then Raito burst forth, speaking of his hatred for the Cabal and the wicked things that went on all around them. No one knows what to do, all they see is the darkness. You're right. Every one is so bound by this fear, but I don't think that spreading words that look like blood will help anyone to find strength. Remind them of the good. The reasons we fight in the first place! She paused to ponder What would show them, what would touch their hearts and remind themslowly, an idea formed in her minds eye and a smile tugged at the corner of her lips I know! Paint the surface. A sunrise. Light will always overcome, bringing new life, new joys. Write something like that. People want courage and hope, they need to know that there are others that are already fighting for these things! A quick smile I'm Suna Hikari, by the way She looked again to the red paint on her hands. Do you guys know where the bathrooms are? I probably shouldn't show up to class like this...
