Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The morning's light shone in through a window, moving across the room as the sun rose over Kumogakure. Before long, the light wast cast upon Ayumu's face. It took a few minutes, but the sunlight slowly roused Ayumu from his sleep. His eyes barely opened, he stared drearily at the ceiling for a few moments before the sound of light breathing at his side caught his attention. He tilted his head to the side to see Kahako still fast asleep having made her way onto his arm at some point during their slumber, her arm rested softly over his chest. Ayumu smiled, watching her sleeping face for a short while. Without much warning, he was suddenly stricken with the unavoidable urge to stretch. Being partially pinned under Kahako, this was difficult to do. He raised his free arm and twisted slightly in an ever so satisfying stretch. Unfortunately, his jostling around seemed to have had an unintended side effect as Kahako roused at his side.

"Ah, sorry... I woke you up," he apologized as he watched her eyes slowly open. Still, he couldn't help but smile at her, despite feeling bad about waking her prematurely. "Good morning," he said before leaning in and giving her a gentle kiss. They'd need to wake Susumu up for the Academy soon and get ready to go to work themselves, but this was a small moment they had to themselves. Something to savor while they could before the hustle and bustle of the day pulled them apart.

Kahako had woken up a short while earlier in the morning, jarred awake by an unpleasant dream. It was the same one she’d been having ever since the night with Kiri...
Sakana’s laughter filled her ears as she drank a coppery-red liquid as if she hadn’t had water for days. To her side, Susumu and Kiri looked onward, one with horror, one with contempt. Something told her that she had no need to look for Ayumu, for he was simply gone. Dead because I killed him… because he would not accepted her ‘gift.’ A raging pain filled her chest at the thought. Then the scene would change. The land shifted between the sloping hill of Lightening country she remembered so well and the farms and fields of the land with which Sukino hailed from. Ayumu and those she once called countrymen ready to fight her. Ready to end her.
...It was when her jutsu went through her husband did she final leave her slumbering state with tear-induced panic.

Waking to the sight of Ayumu had been an immediate comfort. The sun had not yet risen, nor was it time for them to rise. Granted reprieve by the lingering darkness outside, Kahako rolled over resting her head upon Ayumu's arm and wrapping an arm around his torso. He was alive and safe. She breathed in his scent, counting his steady breaths as they calmed her racing heart. She was still herself. Sakana now roamed freely across her mind, chuckling at Kahako’s feelings, but docile for the time being. Sighing contentedly, she closed her eyes once more and let herself drift into a decided more pleasant slumber.

The movement from Ayumu's squirming brought her back to the waking world some time later. She could tell before she even opened her eyes that the sun had come up. The first thing she saw was Ayumu's guilty looking expression as he apologized for waking her. His amends came in the form of a gentle kiss which she matched until he pulled away, the both of them smiling. "If that's how you wake me up, I don't mind one bit..." she said with a playful tone before leaning in and kissing him again, the calm of the moment completely washing the last of her fears from her nightmare away.
