Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

How long had it been since Koa had seen her sister, Haruka? It felt like a lifetime or even longer but now, for Koa, time was precious to her and it was in a real danger of running out at anytime. She was a fighter though, and despite losing most of her time to the release Kane's friend from an eternal prison of ice, the former chief still had a positive outlook on everything. Koa went down into the depths of Arcadia, where she first met her sister, and from that point on her family had been created. The woman waddled down a twisty lane, her wooden staff clunking off the slabs, as she attempted to hold her body up but felt the weight of the material on her body weight her down. It was an uncomfortable feeling and something she didn't like, at all, but then again who liked becoming old?

Koa would find a spot to rest, an embankment of crystal blue water, a patch of grass where she could settle down and take a load off her feet. It was actually amusing to her how awful becoming this old was, nature was a cruel and temperamental bitch; unrelenting in its onslaught against mankind. The old woman would undo her scarf and place it on the grass, allowing her to lay down her head for a few moments. As she lay there her hand fiddled with the blades of grass gently, circling her finger around a small area, encompassing it with an aura of frost.

"Haruka..." She would say gentle, her weak breath pushing the tiny particles of ice into the air, their sparkling little bodies began to float upwards before disappearing from sight. Time would only tell if they actually reached their desired destination or not.

"Shh, shh, hold still Kei." Came a quiet, murmuring voice as Haruka would move to place her small child into his high chair. Naturally, he was a wiggling and squirming thing, loving to make everything that he could difficult for good ol' Mom here. The little blonde haired boy was a giggling and slightly screechy mess as he attempted to break free of his Mother's arms to crawl off and get into whatever kind of mess that he could. Not this time, though! Haruka would successfully buckle the child into the highchair, stabilizing it on the ground now to make sure that he wouldn't rock the seat over or anything crazy like that. Pacing over to the counter, she would begin to grab a few fruits and veggies that she could give to him, placing them with care into a divided plate-- wasn't like that much mattered though, right? It would just end up getting flung to and fro by Kei. The boy had just recently turned one, and she held quite the little party for him just having some Mommy and Son time. It was a nice thing, managing to get her mind off of many different things that were going wrong within her life. Her son happened to be the one reminder that she could actually do something right without a worry in the world. Looking up with care from the plate she had been fixing, she would furrow her brow as she saw little particles of frost falling down from the Gods knew where. And then it would hit her-- As faint as it was, she recognized an aura down here within Arcadia. Her eyes would look around and then she smiled lightly, snapping a lid down onto the plate and picking up.

"Hey kiddo, let's go out and see a friend, okay?" Packing away the food, she would move over to the chair and she would pick him up, and he would immediately attach himself to her hip.

"Muh, muh muh~." He'd do a childish type of babble, holding his small hand into his mouth and looking up to Haruka with jade colored eyes. Probably something he got along his father's line of genetics. Not that she really cared to look into it anymore. All she knew was that if she played her cards correctly, her son was to be in safe hands along with herself.

Turning on her heel as she slung a bag onto her shoulder and used both hands to hold onto the baby, she would walk over to where she felt the presence. Why was it such a weak presence? The frost was undeniable though, right? It confused her beyond belief. Stopping behind the elderly woman, she would give a small breath in confusion.

"...Koa?"

It didn't take long at all for Haruka to arrive with her beautiful child. Oh my, how the young pup had truly grown; it brought so much emotion, there was no playing about here - straight to the point. As Koa lay on the grass, unable to move her body appropriately, she would chuckle with a weak attempt to lift her head from the makeshift pillow. The former chief began to cry at the sight of Keita, his growth spurt, but yet he was still so small and fragile much like how his auntie had become. "I was wondering when you were going to come..." She would say lightly with a cracked voice, her age tripled from when they last embraced. It was embarrassing but she couldn't lift herself up from the ground, oh my. "Haruka, I've missed you so much-" She would all of a sudden break down into a broken mess of salty tears.

The tears wouldn't stop, they just wouldn't, and yet they weren't tears of sadness. "I'm so sorry I couldn't have come sooner, I just lost my way!" She would add with a heavy sob, happy to see her sister and nephew again - although she was now more of a grandmother than anything. It was clear that Koa couldn't move much, heavily implied by her lack of movement, but her body language was clear as crystal and implied more than she could ever possibly sum up into words. "I'm in such a sorry state, I look like my grandmother!"

Of course it would not take her very long at all. When there was a whisper, a will, or some way that someone close to her was within the area, then she would've been there with no questions asked. This was a person that she knew also would not berate her or belittle her. However, she could not keep the expression of utter shock off of her facial features. What had happened to her? It made no sense in the back of Haruka's mind. Did someone else do this to her? It almost threatened to make some form of anger bubble up inside of her, but she would swiftly strike such a notion down. There was no need for anger nor violence here with her child present. One of her hands would reach out and swiftly a crystalline creation of a chair would form beneath of her fingertips that she could set her son down inside of. It was latched down to the ground securely so she could talk and feed him at the same time. She would sit down beside Koa, placing her son in the makeshift chair that she had created. "Koa, I can't lie. I'm surprised by what I see, but I'm sure you would have figured as much." The young woman would speak in an unsure tone. This was definitely Koa. She could feel as much. Reaching into the satchel she had packed, she would pull Kei's meal free and place it in front of him so he could pick and eat at the food there, cut into managable pieces because Haruka was not the type of mother who took chances. And then she would pull free a sippy cup full of cooled milk, sitting it down on the crystalline tray for him as well.

"Eat up, kiddo." She'd brush her fingers through his blonde hair. He was way ahead of her, already eating the cut up fruits and veggies. Like always, he saved the best part for last-- the pieces of cut up chicken or whatever meat his mother decided to give him that day.

"Koa, how did this happen? I need to know. I'm sure I can find a way to fix it. . ."

It was clear that Haruka was in shock, and why wouldn't she be? After all, she had been just given such a meaty revelation that would stress the boundaries of imagination and reality - although in this world, was there really a boundary separating the two? "To be honest, I'm surprised you even recognised me..." She would say in a wilted voice, something that sounded so foreign and unpleasant to her but somewhat relaxing.

"When I left to go back to Onamuji, things didn't really go as planned... Akkuma was there and I think his influence has already spread like an infection, I couldn't stop him." She would shake her head, "I returned as soon as I got your message but Onamuji wouldn't let me go alone, so I asked my companion Kane if he could escort me. I feared that if I went alone Akkuma and his clan would track me down." The former chief admitted softly, sighing at her weakness both physical and emotional.

"Kane and I rested up, we traveled together, back here to help you... Kane told me a story about his friend, a clan member just like us, who froze himself in eternal Haku ice. Heh... I thought I could thaw it without much harm to myself," Koa would raise her limp arm as if to say 'wa-la'.

"I can answer more questions, sister, but I had left Kane by himself and he's on approach to the gates. I can't abandon him, can you help me?"

Koa would motion for them to leave, clearly in a haste, which caused her shrivelled heart to move at too quick a pace. She painfully moved onto her feet and shuffled across the blades of grass. She seemed rude, impatient perhaps but in-truth the woman was just worried about her companion's fate if left at the gates unchecked. Haruka, her dear sister, would get all of the answers she required.

But first, Kane.

What the hell? Why did it seem like Koa was constantly moving around, one place to another, it was incredibly hard for the young woman to keep up with her even though Koa seemed to be nothing more than just an elderly woman at this point. Releasing a sigh, she would look over towards her son whom was eating away at the food on his plate and she would shake her head. "Koa... My son is here. I have no one to watch after him to head off to the gates. I will not risk bringing him into danger. Meet me at my home when you complete your task. You will know where to find me..." She'd state, watching as Koa left. It was hard, but she had priorities that she had to put on a pedestal. She could retrieve her Kane and be fine. She was sure of it, but for now...

Haruka would remain where she was.
