Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

LOCKDOWN NEWS
Hey everyone.
I know a lot of the rumour trains are running around slamming into each other as of late, especially now, since both Mist AND Leaf is currently on direct gates Lockdown!
(IF you have yet to see these Lockdown posts here they are: [LEAF] & [MIST])
Now, I understand why this may seem hugely concerning for many players, not to mention the timing being stupendous (sarcasm) for certain players. Including when one considers the current look of the Battle Rules, with the new jutsus coming about letting people sit and wait for the forms to fill out to get their new jutsus.
For this I firstly apologize for.

We the Admin team has been going a little back and forth on different things, with different ideas and ideals to try and settle matters and to make some major changes to, well, everything pretty much!
We hope that these changes will prove to help and improve the site overall.

So, let me put these rumors to rest.
  • Both villages are on Lockdown, yes.
    • They are on Lockdown to avoid any unnecessary conflict or situations that might ruin or put the whole project described below on hold.
  • No we're not killing off Leaf.
    • We are however making Leaf an NPC village.
  • Yes, we are getting rid of Mist, not essentially killing it off fully but setting it aside for now.
  • A new village will be integrated to replace Mist and Leaf as a major village.
    • Further description and system for this integration described below

Now, with that set aside, let me give you some insight into this New and exciting Village
[spoilername="Iwagakure"]
Iwagakure

::History::
A community set in tradition, the citizens are a proud and stoic people with a profound sense of independence, honor and oral tradition. They are not a cruel people although other cultures may see them as such because they believe that hardships and pain are divine quests set before them to overcome to become a better person, warrior, family figure and of course bring them closer to teleos, or better termed "completeness." Although the village of Iwagakure was always interrelated to the nation of Tsuchi no Kuni as a whole and specifically to Maruishi, the capital of Tsuchi no Kuni and physically the neighbor of Maruishi, they were always considered to be separate entities. The lands held by Iwagakure were the stones of the bluff overlooking the great sea. Maruishi sat on the top of the bluff, almost like an umbrella above Iwagakure. This space would have been unused if it was not for Iwagakure, it was steep, uneven and unsafe. There was no farm space so their residence immediately below the capital city held little consequence to the governing bodies of Maruishi or TSuchi no Kuni. In fact, Iwagakure and Maruishi enjoyed a symbiotic relationship where Iwagakure served as the military force and physical might of the Tsuchi no Kuni empire and in exchange the people of Iwagakure enjoyed compensation for the efforts many Iwagakurians saw as their sacred duty in order to reach teleos.

Due to the high risk of death and the value placed on large families, the ranks of Iwa youth grew exponentially over the years but their overall population remained stable. The violent nature of their vocation cut many Iwa lives short, their reproductive rate often was high but it often only kept up to their death rates. Certain traits seemed to be bred into the next generation as death, death seemed to cut short the lives of the gentler shinobi so their seed was never passed on. Neighboring cities, especially their closest neighbor grew uneasy with the climbing numbers of what they saw as vile, barbaric and violent people. With the recent discovery of antibiotics, a non-invasive treatment to a common cause of death after a near mortal injury, the life expectancy of the average shinobi increased by nearly a decade and with that an increased number of birthing years. With the culture of the Iwa being common knowledge, many speculated that the Iwa-nin would not remain inert forever.

The Iwa-nin were a pious people, but their dedication to old gods was abandoned generations ago in the rest of Tsuchi no Kuni. This difference in religion was a source of contempt between peoples. Rumors of Iwanins worshiping their "pagan devils," defiling their livestock and women became common tales. To say that all of the rumors were untrue would be a lie, but often the quantity and circumstances were greatly exaggerated or so it has been chronicled in Iwa historical texts. The denizens of Tsuchi no Kuni were a hypocritical people, despite the ire felt by the citizens of Tsuchi no Kuni they continued to employ the shinobis of Iwa on various missions that ranged from escorting goods to assassinating rivals. In addition, the proximity of the villages Maruishi and Iwagakure continued. Maruishi needed the frequent and sometimes immediate services of the Iwa-shinobi for tasks that ranged from emergencies such as fires to domestic disturbances and the maintenance of order in the civilian city.

With the above said, how are we going to proceed from this? How do we fully close down two major villages and to try and ensure it all goes smoothly? And not to mention, how will this new village hold up to the other already established village?
First step, as has been demonstrated and acted upon already, is:
    • Close down from all incoming and leaving players for the current moment
      • All current none-affiliated with the village will be hurried upon to leave the villages.
After that is done the following will be done by the councils.
    • Give a justifiable and reasonable IC setting resulting in the respective village having to be set aside, or changed drastically. (This is something each respective Council has full authority over and will do so at their own discretion.)
      • This won't be anything drastically unreasonable and will not be used to kill off Player Characters without their consent. And if any none directly involved parties with the village wishes to assist or play a part in these things, feel free to contact the respective Councils.
Once this has been properly initiated the following process will commence.
    • All players from the respective villages will be given access to either of the two following options:
      1. Free Rebirth or moving of current Character to the new Village.
        • Please note that since this is being forced on the players, if you choose to Rebirth you get a full free switch, meaning everything on your current character can be transferred to the new.
      2. Free Missing attempt (Meaning you character can become Missing, no strings attached)
Once all that has been completed, the respective villages will take their separate backdrops as the new 3 Villages take the front seat.

Now, to answer a few possible questions.
  • The new Council will be comprised up a combined mixture of the current Leaf and Mist Council.
  • The village project itself is spearheaded with the assistance of the amazing Admin Takahashi Shiori (So if you have any plot, or history related questions, feel free to send them her way).
  • Yes, Leaf will be an NPC country able to RP in, and being fully controlled by the Stone Village Council.
    • Once the site numbers are up at a reasonable number Leaf is the first in line to be fully returned as a fully playable village.

I hope this answered all your beating and immediate questions about this whole process.
And if you happen to find yourself with any further questions about this process, please feel free to contact your Village Council members.
    • Until next time!
      • The Administrative Team

P.S.
Among the next upcoming Announcements will describe what to do with the new Battle System, how to proceed and how to change your Jutsus.
Look out for it within the coming days.
At the moment we are working to getting the Shop fully updated (which takes time) so as to fully enable all of you to do such.
