Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Akumi was taking her time in her hometown, she had a goal, but she seemed to have gotten distracted. She knew what she wanted, and she knew what she had to do, but it was a lot easier said than done. She seemed to have an uncertain feeling, maybe she was afraid. She was afraid to confront her past. Her father, she loved, but at the same time, she knew what he was like. Maybe it was love that blinded her to the true issues. He was not "father of the year" by any means, and when she spoke to him, she never said much, she used to try to focus on his good sides. Like his passion for art, and his love for beauty. She often blocked out her fear of him, especially in front of others. He was hot-headed, and almost always opted to violence first. She had a chance to confront this, and free her mother. While at the same time, she’d gain power. Jashin was the way to freedom for her family, for now at least.

Today was a quiet day, the breeze blew gently, and clouds could be seen beyond the horizon. A storm might come, but it might go around the great stone village. Akumi was procrastinating, she told Tango she would be long, but it had been days since she last saw him. She couldn’t go back until she achieved her goal. He was a good friend, and she felt bad for leaving him in the dust, so she wouldn’t be surprised if he had left the village already. They needed to keep moving anyways, the leaf shinobi would probably come to Stone soon. THe clones could only last so long, and after they searched Suna, they probably would come here next. Would she continue to run? Her brother probably very worried by now, He’d hear from her soon.

Akumi decided to send a letter to her brother, to let him know she is okay, and a little more detail on how she was, she told him she was traveling with Tango- Baba, but they were separated recently. She also mentions that she is doing Okay, and she’ll return home, either when she is ready, or when they find her, whichever comes first.

Moving on, Akumi made her way to the old clan house, it smelt like old dirt and gunpowder. It was the smell most Touji carried around, Akumi only had that smell after using her explosives, but it was easily washed away, or covered with a perfume.

Akumi hesitated, she stood at the entrance and looked into the place she once called home. It looked broken, empty. It was deprived of joy. It was a dead man's home. She looked around for a moment, her memories of playing in the yard came flooding into her mind. That was before her father discovered her talents of ninjutsu. Things changed after that, he was meaner and determined to turn her into the best shinobi. The best weapon. Thanks to her mother, Akumi was able to escape the last few years of his training. Maybe she would’ve ended up here either way.

Akumi was not going to complete this mission with her usual explosive taste. She couldn’t, In order to get what she wanted, she’d have to shed blood. The lord Jashin called for it after all. She was able to pick up a ceremonial dagger for this occasion. It was not her style, but it was the only way. The scriptures had details on how to achieve her goal, draw the symbol, and announce the sacrifice to Jashin. She read the entire thing back and forth, she knew she could keep the eyes of God even after she was done, or decided to leave the religion. Unlike some of the other perks, this one was a one-time payment. Not many people like giving up a loved blood relative after all. Though she was probably going to stick to the Jashin religion. She didn’t plan on making sacrifices apart of her daily routine, however. She was not going for immortality luckily.

Akumi took a step into her old home, it seemed like no one was home, she could not sense anyone, so she made herself at home on the matt. Her old home was very rural, there was a lack of any kind of modern furniture she had grown accustomed too. There was a table, and pillows for seating in the main room. They did at least have a fridge, and flowing water. She was surprised they didn’t opt for a complete modern free living. She was sure there was a word for that too.

It didn’t take long for her to hear movement outside, it was probably the return of her father and mother. She was relaxed, lying on the floor, and resting her head on a pillow. She moved to rest her head on her hand so she could see them when they walked in.

Her father slid open the door, and walked in first, he had a bag of greens. Her mother was behind him, she looked tired, not physically, but mentally. She also noticed a few bruises on her neck, and arms, she was covering it with a scarf and long-sleeved clothing, but coming home the woman relaxed and allowed her neck and shoulders to show. It took the two a moment before they noticed Akumi there.

Once they did, her mother looked shocked, and quickly adjusted her scarf. Her father, on the other hand, looked calm, surprisingly.

“Akumi, it's a surprise to see you.” He stated, in an uncomfortably calm tone of voice. He glanced towards her mother, in an accusing manner.

Akumi stood, slowly. She sighed, it was almost as if they were not happy to see her. Maybe she was jumping to conclusions, but she kinda felt a little hurt they didn’t seem happier. “It’s been a while, no ‘wow we missed you so much’ or even a smile?” She stated with a smirk.

Her mother walked over and hugged Akumi, slowly, and hesitantly. It was almost as if she was afraid. Akumi didn’t believe she was afraid of her own daughter, it had to be him. She didn’t care to find out how things went after she left unexpectedly. Her mother moved away, and looked at Akumi, she saw a glint of happiness, but her eyes told the tale of sadness. She probably took her leaving the hardest. Her mother didn’t say a word, she didn’t need too. She spoke a hundred words with that one look, a look of love. Her mother already knew her mistakes, but it was too late to return them or try to fix them. They would never know if it was a mistake to send Akumi away, her father seemed to only get more violent by the day.

Akumi’s mother stepped to the side and took the bags into the kitchen. Leaving Akumi alone with her father. He looked disappointed and betrayed. Even her smile couldn’t make him see past his ego. She was a human, not a piece of clay for him to manipulate. She felt hurt, she had some hope that he had changed, but it seemed like he had grown even darker. She hoped for something, anything to make her change her mind, but looking into his eyes, there wasn’t anything left for her to hold on to. It was time to make a change.

Her father huffed, “You are not welcomed here, you made your choice.”

Akumi glanced to the side, that isn’t what she wanted to hear. In that moment, she sighed, then she smiled. “You are right, but I wanted to see you... Father.” She looked at him in a loving way. “I will leave… but Can I at least feel your hug one last time?” She questioned, she was honest, it had been too long since she had hugged her father.

He seemed hesitant and showed a frown, but it must have been the way she looked. She still was small, she still looked like a child without makeup. She had not grown much at all, she used to be so fragile as a child, she still looked that way. He let his guard down, even a stern, violent man like this could not deny his daughter a simple request like this. There was no harm in a hug.

Akumi’s smile only got brighter, she jolted towards him quickly, and slammed into him, wrapping only one of her arms around him. He was taller than her, and within the years, he had grown old, weaker. He staggered and huffed, she knocked the wind out of him, but he was caught off guard. Never would he imagine his own daughter had…?

She had the Dagger in hand, and it was impaled inside him, she aimed up under his ribcage. It was inches from his heart and left him paralyzed. Akumi was shaking, she had never killed someone this close before. Watching him, the shock in his eyes, and the consequences of what she had done started to grow heavy on her shoulders. He wasn’t dead yet, she felt her arm push forward, deeper into his chest cavity. With that last push, she punctured his heart. It only took seconds to see the light fade from his eyes.

Akumi wanted to avoid a fight, given her childlike features, and the fact most people underestimate little girls, she was able to get close. If they had fought, half the village would be under rubble, plus she did not think she could defeat her father in battle.

Akumi allowed his body to drop, she took a moment to breathe, as she had been holding her breath the entire time. She was shaking still, but she could still get to work. She used the pool of blood to back a circle, then a triangle inside of it. Her father's body right in the middle. As she was doing this, she recited a scribe inside the scripture.

Akumi stood at the head of the symbol and looked up. “Tôi trình bày sự hy sinh này cho bạn, trong thương mại vì đôi mắt của thượng đế.”

She felt a surge of power, her veins burned, and her eyes bled. She fell to her knee and shut her eyes tightly. She hissed in pain, but it didn’t last long. When she opened her eyes, it was like she was seeing a whole new world. Things were cleared, and it seemed like she could see so much more detail. She had awoken the Rinnegan.

Akumi looked at her father, his body was still there, she wasn’t sure how it worked. Maybe it was his soul that was taken? It would make more sense. Blood tears still trailed her face, what was done had been done.

Akumi’s heartfelt heavier, and she was flooded with the fond memories she had before her father turned so angry. He used to be her playground, her idol, he used to be so much more than her nightmare. She never lost that love, but she knew that the old him was gone, and it would never come back, even if she walked the path of goodness, he would always be this way. A monster in her nightmare. She did not have to worry about it anymore though, she was free now, and so was her mother. They were free of the pain. As Akumi thought of that, she smiled, she felt lighter, and it felt like things would be different.

Akumi decided not to stick around for her mother to find the body. She couldn’t stand to see that sight, but she knew her mother would understand. Her mother would be happy, Akumi knew that would be the case. Akumi had to go out and test her newfound abilities.
