Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The spirits whispered to the Priestess, beckoning her to return; that there was a gift from Sunagakure awaiting her to claim. That in itself didn't mean too much; sometimes they joked, simply wanting contact with Azusa. Sometimes it was little more than an interesting sight, a rare flower, a shiny gem.

Sometimes, they were right.

At the very least, it gave Azusa a reason to leave her shrine or the hospital, to stretch her legs. Besides; she had yet to return to the shinobi complex since she graduated and earned her title of Genin.

The priestess walked through the complex's grounds with a smile; she was pleased. It was a refreshing feeling walking through familiar terrain no long a student, but as a Genin. Of course she was certain that if she actually made any comment of the sort to any previous instructors, they'd blabber on and on about how one is always a student and the learning process is never finished and what not, but....blah blah blah. Let Azusa have her small victories.

Passing through the ruins, the Kitsune's ears picked up the sounds of laughter from nearby students playing within the area. Their laughter and voices that quickly turned to hushed whispers when she passed by, as if she was one of the instructors here to scold them. Azusa simply gave them a smile and went about her way, leaving them to have their fun once they felt Azusa was suitable distance away. Trickster that she was, she did have the slight whim of returning their to frighten or mess with them, but....

Well, she was here with a purpose.

Although the genin devoured medical knowledge rapidly, there was only so much she could stand staring at pictures of bones and organs and all that messy stuff before it turned into an incoherent mess in her mind. Today, it was time for something different. Something she wouldn't normally train with or study upon.

Once within the previously ruined, but steadily reclaimed complex, her eyes scanned the walls; there was...history here. Knowledge. such terms could almost always apply to any sort of room filled with books and scrolls such as this, but no. This was different. The room was silent as she was alone here, but it was almost as if there was a humming whispering directly to her soul, as if to say 'go on; claim what can be yours'. It was...odd.

Her hands passed over scrolls, manuscripts, books, and other things, only stopping upon a large tome (by chance? or by something else?). "Annals of the Conqueror...Is this a story or legend?" "Conqueror" was a heavy word that carried power with it; naturally, it was a word that could catch Azusa's interest. Despite its size, the book itself was surprisingly light in her hands, as if it wanted to be in her possession. She dusted off a corner of the room to claim as hers, and made herself comfortable to browse through it.

The content of the book itself? Azusa hadn't really read anything like it. The first few pages were filled with glyphs of some language she was unfamiliar with, eventually becoming a strange mix between words and symbols she understood, until finally being written normally. That being said; she found it increasingly hard to concentrate the further into the book she had gotten. Her mind wandered, envisioning great battles between men and gods, the freeing of settlements, the founding of a great village...Truthfully, she wasn't sure if she was simply day dreaming, just plain dreaming, or experiencing some sort of vision.

When Azusa returned to her senses, the book was shut upon her lap, finished. She felt refreshed, as if she had gotten a full nights sleep...but how long had she really been here? More importantly, those visions...was it the workings of the tome? "
روح ... وهذا ما كان يريد أن يظهر لي؟"
(Spirits...Is this what had wanted to show me?) Her eyes gazed at the back cover, analyzing it; (I see...so that's how it is. How strange for it to be here, and not protected somewhere...) She questioned. She wanted to bring it back to show Hinoka, but, well...

The same whispering spirits that guided her here now seemed to want her to leave the book, that her gift had been claimed. It was not the book, but its content.

And so she did.
