Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Raito walked the crowded cafeteria. noises filled the air as seemingly thousands of conversations happened simultaneously, blanketing the room in white noise. The smells of the food from today's meal was pungent; a large helping of rice, with some fried fish, options being mackeral or trout, and some pickled veggie, either spinach or beets. Raito had chosen the spinach, since no one ever seemed to make beets appealing, especially not when they had to be mass produced for several hundred students.

Raito looked around the room as he walked, not recognizing any faces that continued in there feasting and speaking, a few looking up at him and nodding politely, but he didn't know any of them. Finding a table near a window that no one was sitting at, he placed his tray down and pulled up a seat. Wonder where everyone from class is... probably have friends of their own to sit with. pulling a bag of chips from under his shirt that he'd smuggled from a broken vending machine, he munched those down first, hoping to "remove" the evidence before being questioned at all. He thought these would be infinitely better that the food before him, since they tasted of fake processed cheese and bacon, and not bland rice and fish, with some vinegar infused spinach leaves.

Eh, it's free. Who am I to turn down a free meal, and a warm one at that. Raito smiled briefly as he saw a small puff of steam rise from his rice pile. snapping apart his chop sticks, he began to eat, looking around the room and wondering where his brother was, chucking as he thought that he might be sitting with that insanely excited kid that kept trying to befriend him. What was his name again? Daka? no, that's not it.. Daichu? no ...whatever, the 'greatest ninja ever' kid. Raito shrugged and kept eating, thoughts turning back to his classes, wondering if he'd manage to make a friend as quickly as Yami, regardless of him not being one for people or not. Raito was at least able to understand people. Usually...

Lunch time!! Hikari stood in line with her tray of steamed rice and fish, trying to decide between the lesser of two evils; beets or spinach. she settled with the beets and looked around for a place to sit. She didn't really know anyone, but dreaded sitting by herself again, how lame was that. As usual, when i doubt, walk toward the light She made her way toward the windows which provided faint light from outside. It was there that she saw him, one of the boys from the scroll locker. Which one is he? Dang it, how am I supposed to tell them apart. Maybe he'll let me sit with him? She hesitated, but then thought what's he going to do, send me away? Hello again a small smile played at the corner of her lips, do you mind if I sit with you?

Kaya sat at a table not to far from the back window, some girl had kindly waved her over after she had seen her stumbling around not exactly sure where she fit in. Her blondish pink hair had swayed as she bobbed up and down hoping that someone would take pity on her. After a gratfeful nod and a little wave that almost sent her tray falling to the ground Kaya managed to find her footing and sit down next to the girl. The girl seemed nice, Kaya didn't get any bad vibes from her, so far her gut was telling her this girl wasn't as bitchy as the girl before had been when Kaya had tried to sit down. Things went well, they echanged some pleasantries ate their....food. For lack of a better word to describe the tirade of smells that berrated her nose as soon as the mush had been slapped down on the plastic that was her tray. After a few minutes she noticed some students getting their lunch a little bit later not wanting to be rude she excused herself from the table and walked to throw away something diguising her real intention of getting a quick look at everyone else at the school.

It was her first day, she hadn't been able to get a good feel of all the students that made up the Academy. Today the front office had just told her to go wherever she wanted to see if there was any classes she wanted to take. She had went to a bunch of classes but all of them had given her the aura that nobody really wanted her to be in them. Kaya was a firm believer in reading peoples auras, she didn't do it on purpose of course but regardless she could read them. Surface emotions that gave her stomach butterflies if her body was warning her that something was wrong, on the off chance occasion that everything was alright her stomach wouldn't be flip flopping everywhere like a moth trying to find a flame...while it was drunk.

She closed her eyes as people walked by, trying to grasp as good of a connection as she possible could, but she wasn't very attuned it was hard to really know how people were feeling right now. All should could really get was that they were hungry and then....BAM! Her eyes opened wide as she felt something that knocked her senses off balance. She turned her head around looking for the person that could be feeling...whatever it was she had felt. Finally her eyes rested on the back of a boys head who slowly made his way to an open table and sat down. Her eyes glanced him up and down, he didn't seem to be like the boy who should have any problems making friends. He was attractive enough that was for sure, he was sort of tall for his age. His jet black hair was enhanced by the sunlight beaming through the window. When he turned his face Kaya could see the dark bags underneath his piercing blue eyes and instantly her stomach began to flip flop.

Something about him is off...something isn't right. There is so much pain surrounding him. Why is he in so much pain?

Normally Kaya stayed away from these kinds of people. Her parents told her that she was better off not trying to fix people, that her ability to understand what her gut was trying to tell her about people was also an amazing warning mechanism. But all of that seemed to fade away as Kaya saw this boy sitting by himself. She noticed for a second that he let out of a little smile as he broke his chopsticks and was about to start digging into his food, but that didn't stop the dark cloud that was hanging over him from spreading. Kaya gave a deep sigh and was about to turn away when she saw a girl approaching him. She seemed to falter at first not knowing exactly what it was she wanted to do, and then Kaya heard her open her mouth and ask the boy if she could sit with him.

Kaya started to panic, praying that whatever was clouding this boy wouldn't somehow get the other girl hurt. Making up her mind Kaya ran back over to the girl that had invited her over. The warm sunny aura of the girl quickly erasing any unease she had just felt moments before, but one quickl glance back over at those two had her in business mode again.

"I am so sorry! You have been so great to me but there is something that I need to go do! I hope you understand and next lunch I would love to sit with you if you will still have me?" Kaya stood there smiling hoping that the girl would understand and wouldn't mark her off as a basket case, but when the girl smiled and nodded giving her a little wave Kaya breathed a sigh of relief and jogged over to the table with the boy and the girl. She felt a little awkward sitting down at first knowing that they hadn't really invited her to sit, but the girl that Kaya had seen walk over was still sitting there, apparently he hadn't invited her to sit down either. So Kaya ran up next to the girl and looked down at the boy. Her stomach went into overdrive trying to get her body to run...she didn't know what exactly. On one hand she felt magnatized by this boy and whatever his past seemed to be, on the other she was scared for herself in this girl. What if he was dangerous? She shook her head a little pained by the fact that she was judging him already.

"Hey! Sorry I hope I'm not interrupting anything. Hi, nice girl standing here and creepy boy sitting down there. Anyways I was just wondering if I might be able to sit with you two? I got these really uneasy feeling in my stomach when you walked past...yeah you the boy sitting down there, and I was scared that you might do something to hurt the girl.....Oh dear I said that out loud didn't I?" She placed a hand over her mouth, she hadn't meant to say the whole reason that she was over there. In fact all she had really wanted to do was ask for a seat, but of course once her mouth had opened she started fidgeting for the right words and instead had produced word vomit.

Oh yeah things were going great at this new school...

Raito was about to pull a water bottle out from one of his many pants pockets when he heard a voice say hello. Curious, he perked up and looked over to see the girl from the locker room.Crap! I forgot her name! he showed no sign of panic, just general, and minimal, shock. "Uh...Sure, have a seat if you wa-" almost out of nowhere, another cute girl shows up and begins to ask if she could join them? Do I just look female, or something? oh gods, I hope I don't get friend-zoned this early in the year! and by two pretty- wait, "Hold on, what?!" The girls seemed to have said more than she had intended about Raito looking like some loner emo kid that was gonna cut the poor girl from the lockers instead of simply stopping at "can I sit here" like she clearly meant to.

He couldn't help it, Raito started to chuckle. he laughed as quietly as he could, but he was clearly fighting the urge to burst out in violent laughter. when his fit has ceased, his stomach hurt a little, but he was smiling. "I would love the company." He said, looking at both of them, a wide grin on his face. I might be able to make friends yet. He stood as the girls took their seats, since he remembered his mother had told him it was the proper thing to do, and began to introduce himself. "My name's Raito. Hitoshi Raito, He paused as the thoughts of what he was came to mind, "Brother," Orphan, "Freedom Fighter," Trouble Maker, "and Shinobi-in-Training," Not to mention a bit of a Thief and a Sneak, "At your service." He bowed, mostly in jest, and then retook his seat, pulling out a couple juice boxes from his pockets, and offering them to the girls.

He decided to break any possible ice that could have existed after the new girls....statement, with a question to them both. "So," He began, eyes looking back and forth between the two, "What brings you guys to this school? Not like it's a public house of learning, or anything."

As the three of them sat down together, Hikari couldn't help but to think of what the girl had said about the strange boy, Raito. He had seemed nice enough in the Scroll Locker, even protective when the horrible man had come in to scare them. What did she really know about him though? He could be bad. She tried to imagine it but couldn't, especially after he had laughed with such innocence. Maybe her mother was right, though You always give people the benefit of the doubt. That's a good thing, don't misunderstand me, but you must be careful. Not every one is as good as you hope them to be. She would say this with love and Hikari would always smile back with out understanding. Maybe this is what she'd meant? She took the juice box that Raito offered and pondered as he asked them what had brought them to the Academy. Why was she her? She wanted to make her parents proud. She wanted to keep the people of Sand Village safe. But what was this for her? I... I guess that I wanted to learn what I could be. I want to push myself as far as I can, see how far i can go. I like a challenge, and... I have a tendancy to be overly curious. I want to know whatever they can teach me here Suddenly embarrassed by her openness, Hikari sat back and looked away, becoming very interested in her lunch.
