Name: Madoka Eri
Age: 10
Gender: Female
General Description:
Warm and soft-spoken (but fiery and feisty on the inside), Madoka Eri carries a strong presence wherever she goes. Her appearance is rather plain, sporting a layered short hair and somewhat pale skin, she’s not what you call a standout. Her eyes have a golden-brown tinge to it, probably the only uncommon thing about the girl. Her height is fairly normal with the children her age, although she’s slightly skinnier than most, which doesn’t show due to her usual thick clothing which comprises of a loose, green knitted shirt over a white sleeved shirt paired with khaki pants and a pair of sneakers.
Personality:
Eri has a strong personality despite the fact that she comes off as soft-spoken and shy at first. She secretly (or so she thinks) tries to imitate her big sister Keiko’s demeanor when it comes to dealing with people, being level-headed and calm although it took quite some time before she got used to it due to her naturally feistiness. She sees these traits of her sisters’ as something to look up to, and being taught that courtesy is very important when it comes to socializing with other people, she tries to always keep herself in check. Eri idolizes Keiko a lot, trying to pattern herself from how Keiko talks to how she dresses, although she does have episodic outbursts from time to time when she gets pissed on things.
History:
There’s not much to say about Eri’s life up to this point. Unlike a lot of children born in the Fire Nation who are either orphaned or those who lack a parent, the girl has her family very much intact. She’s born in a working-class family; her parents being businessmen who works in an office forty hours a week plus tons of overtime to make ends meet, with an older sister being the one who takes care of her since she was about four years old. Her family is practically among the thousands of normal families in Leaf City that try to get by everyday without problems. Her older sister Keiko takes care of Eri, tending to her every need because her parents never have the time or right energy to take care of her due to the demanding nature of their office jobs. Juggling school and raising her baby sister, Keiko has perfected the art of multitasking without a cinch, and without any gripes toward her parents and little sister unlike other young people who are given such a heavy task early on. On the other hand, as Eri started to grow up and understand things, questions start to pile on her mind like ‘why does mommy and daddy let big sister take care of me instead of them?’, or ‘why is mommy always mad when she comes home?’. These questions started to bother the little girl but reserved the questions to her instead of asking Keiko. Instead, the little girl tries to occupy her time reading, painting, and playing make-believe that she’s a ninja.
