Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Character's Physical Description: Shizi stands at just over 7 feet in height and weighs just over 250lbs in raw muscle. With her unique height, this gives her the appearance of a slightly muscular woman instead of a body builder. She had long brown hair she keeps in a braid, and matching eyes.
Character's Mental Description: Shizi struggles with ethical things, as she has little experience with them. She is also savvy in battle, but not in much else. Blunt, uneducated, and purposely ignorant of many things is a good way to describe her. She has little time for subtlety, often finding it easier to just punch her way through issues.
Multiple Personality Application: None
Character History: Includes BL and Kin app, Battlesmith and Chimearashi.
People always ask “what do you want to be when you grow up?” without ever really expecting the answer “a badass warrior queen” to be the response from the 5 year old girl. Those people weren’t paying attention to the young girl in question as she routinely pushed around the students, boy and girl alike, several years her senior on the playground. Born to a name she has since forgotten, she goes now by Shizi, refusing to answer to any other title or name except Ljonskar; a rather unusual name she created to match her fierce personality.

Shizi doesn’t recall where she was born. It was never important to her. What mattered was what she did there, and what she did was train. While other children studied, she would run laps and lift weights with her father. She grew unnaturally fast, easily towering over other children her age when she was 8, and by the time puberty hit she made many a grown man look small. She never did great in schooling, her book smarts being about as good as learning to write her favorite word and little else.

Her calling in life always seemed to be fighting. She would get into fights even before being old enough to go to school. It was a normal occurrence for her to be disciplined for picking fights with the supposedly ‘tough guys’ of the school, regardless of their respective ages or her inability to win. That inability dwindled as she grew older and larger. So she was pulled from basic schooling when she was only in her fourth year of learning, and instead trained with her father.

A mountain of a man, he was renowned across the country for his martial prowess. No weapon was unfamiliar in his hands, no opponent unbeatable. He saw in his daughter the unmistakable urge to master this art as he had, so he saw no reason to deny her that.

The days were long, grueling ordeals. The nights were just as bad, often spent after being worked to the bone doing household chores and more training before passing into an exhausted slumber. And being woken early to get in more training. She took it without complaint, wanting to learn more and grow stronger. As she hit her teen years, that strength would become quite obvious. She would soon grow taller even than her father, broader than him as well. Far from fat, in comparison to her height the weight of muscle didn’t look out of place. But it was a boon as she soon could go toe-to-toe with any man she wanted in a show of brute force.

When it came to combat, she was becoming more and more competent every day. Her father moved from pure fighting to the things a fighter needed to win – arms and armor. He didn’t trust the stuff people could go out and buy, calling it trash unfit for his hands. He made his own gear, the art of smithing was just that, an art. And he was a superb artist. He worked hard to pass his knowledge down to his daughter, who was just as hungry for this feast of information.

It was her sixteenth year that he left for combat, a mercenary had to do such to make their keep. He left the girl alone, she’d never had any issue with this arrangement before. When he was gone they came, men who felt wronged by him. The life of combat means many died to his hands, and their loved ones were seeking to end her life as revenge. They heard of the famed mercenary’s love for his daughter, and expected a delicate flower unable to defend herself.

What they got was the Ljonskar. The others knew something went horribly wrong when their leader was thrown out of the door he’d just kicked open as if a ragdoll. Their torches lit the gruesome scene as he was nearly ripped apart by something before the throw. The slow clink of metal against stone stole their attention back to the door as she stepped out.

Taller than all of them was the teenage girl, a white lion’s pelt over her giving her a decidedly primal image. The gleam of metal armor under the cape was obvious, as was the weaponry she held. A shortened spear on one hand, and a small axe in the other. She burst at them with a speed unexpected for her size and begin moving through them as the scythe does wheat. Some fled, they died last as arrows peppered their backs. They were lucky.

Many of those who stood to fight found that there was no delicate flower here, only an anvil against which they would break. She used her axe less as a weapon than a shield, blocking their own attacks and turning them around, opening up gaps in their defenses her spear would plunge into. As she was taught, while she had the raw strength to win against them handily, her skill was put on more display here.

The bodies were gone by the time her father returned, the only evidence of the attack being in the new weapons she’d forged in his absence using their own. He made no mention of the steel, knowing none of the money he’d left was gone. Instead he watched she took several damaged blades and began forging something new out of them.

When she was of age, she joined her father in his job. Father and Daughter would had out clad for war, visit violence upon those they were paid to, and return home. It was during this time she found that not all jobs were for the good side. Mercenaries fought for coin, not morals. But she knew deep down this was not right. Some budding conscience railed against this.

During a raid years later, they were paid to put a village to torch and leave no survivors. The duo had done such many times before, being sent alone to take out an entire village. Men, women, children, if she was hungry even the pets. This time, however, as they attacked something was different.

One of the girls was not normal. Shizi saw no way to describe it, even now. The child was special. She didn’t cry out, instead reaching out to pet the lion pelt Shizi wore into battle. As her father dismantled the village one human at a time, Shizi made a friend. As her father murdered the young girl’s family and loved ones, Shizi realized this innocence was sacred.

As her father stabbed the girl from behind and slung her lifeless form aside, Shizi realized what evil was.

The roar was nothing new, her father had heard it hundreds of times by now, usually followed by his daughter throwing herself into battle like a wild animal. What he’d never experienced himself was that rage directed at him. Shizi’s assault was brutal, fast, and completely without restraint. Everything at hand became a weapon for her to use, the spear and axe on her person forgotten as she used pitchforks, scythes, even the furniture of these people to attack the man who had taught her to fight.

And when those ran out, her favored weapons were pulled free. First was the greatsword, eventually lost as she flung it at him and forced him to lose a shield as the massive weapon punched through and nearly took his face off. The battle axe was knocked from her hands, while the Warhammer was also thrown to good effect.

They met at the end of things in the fields. Axe and spear versus a claymore. He was no novice, letting the attacks carry weight and range to keep his daughter back, force her to play defense and not letting her taken the offensive in the fight. He forgot, for a moment, who he was facing.

With another roar of rage, Shizi rushed in, using an armored arm to batter his sword aside and bodily tackle him to the ground. As she began sputtering and demanding answers, she gave no response except rage. And let her fists explain her hatred. It was true they had killed before, and if she wanted to make it in this world she knew she must again. But killing children was something she knew she could not do again. And something she knew this man before her would never stop doing if the coin was right.

She rose from his still form and took up his claymore, bringing it down upon him until she was sure it was over. Shizi moved through the village with a purpose after this, taking up all of their weapons she could recovery, and heading back for their employer to report on the job.

One woman, heavily armed, against a small fortified group of a few dozen men. It was madness, it was suicide. It was such a rush. Some weapons she simply left in the men as they fell, finding it more convenient to pull out another. Some she shattered in great blows against their armor, creating massive rends for her spear to poke through and end lives. More were discarded, such as the Warhammer being flung into one man’s head and sending the pieces left across the floor.

The lord begged for his life. Promised more pay. She accepted, taking his coin before taking his head.

She wandered for a time after that, taking up jobs as a mercenary still and staunchly, violently even, refusing orders that involved the killing of children. Men and women were still game, for in her mind they had every chance to train and meet her in fair combat. But those who could not she left be.

It would be upon her 30th year that she found more of her moral code coming out. During one fight she ended up turning on her employer when he attempted to have all of the children of a rival killed. Together with the bodyguard, a shinobi, she would keep them safe. This shinobi, a man named Onryouko, took her under his wing, teaching her to better harness chakra beyond just physical prowess.

He also taught her the code of a true hero. Protect the innocent, do not visit evil upon good people, do what you believe to be right in all situations regardless of the consequences. She took these to heart, but with her skewed upbringing had some odd ideas of right, and innocence, and good people. A problem she struggles with even to this day.

She wandered into the regional lands not long after parting ways with him. A land that had never heard of the Ljonskar seemed a perfect place to make herself known and make some coin. Her debut was just what she could have wanted in such a thing.

She was hired by a shinobi village to clear out bandits who had been raiding one of their holdings. Initially she was to help some of their own before dismissively walking off without them, leaving the village confused and believing she’d decided not to help after all. When they began moving they found signs of struggle almost immediately.

Men laying in various states of dismemberment, weapons strewn as if thrown by a child from a toy box. Several appeared to be very good pieces, and before leaving those she would reclaim. They found her in the stronghold the bandits were using as a base, men hanging from the walls with spears and swords she’d pulled from their own hands before impaling them. Few of the shinobi could pull these weapons from the stone walls.

Shizi was walking out of the central room and nearly attacked the entire group before they identified themselves. After a few tense moments she seemed to calm, and asked for her pay before heading on her way. Leaving a speechless group of shinobi wondering how one woman could cause such carnage without any apparent ninjutsu being used.

The Ljonskar had arrived.

Still actively roleplaying in any other threads?
Upon death, roleplayers in ANY of your other incomplete thread(s) are to vote whether they can deal with your non-existence from the beginning of these thread(s). Whether you joined these thread(s) before or after you entered the battle that got you killed, you are still considered a part of these thread(s).
- If players vote yes, you get to move on to your next life.
- If players vote no, you must stay in those threads as if you were still alive.

You can still train (see: explanation of Limbo Training below) and do other OOC things, but you may NOT join any new threads. After you have completed these thread(s), post in OCR again and we will move you on to your next life.

What is Limbo Training?
This is the training that you would have gotten if you did not move on to your new character's life. Your caps are determined by your rebirthed stats. You must keep a record of your stats gained during limbo in your OCR thread. You may NOT request for an automatic rank up should you find that your new stats allow you to upgrade. Limbo training is only for people who have died in modded combat or suicide. Anyone whose character has not died is still capable of RPing that character until their OCR is finalized, and thus can train as normal.

Things you do NOT need to state, but take note of:
  • Abilities = All of your Abilities are auto-untrained upon rebirth. In order to have any Abilities for your new character, you must activate them by posting in your character’s Dojo topic in your new village.
  • Character History = By suiciding/rebirthing, you're making a new character. This means your new character must not know or remember anything of your old character's life/thoughts/feelings. If your new character has ANY direct/indirect connection to your old character, you MUST state that in your new character history write up for Admin & Village approvals. All Medical or ANBU related experience should be reflected in your history along with CA or BL influence.
  • Editing Your New Character Application = Do not edit a post you have made in your OCR. You must copy all of your information from your last post and add the changes to the new post. This is for papertrail reasons.

Things that do NOT transfer with your next character:
Please take notice of which ASP shop items that you have bought transfer with your character, and which do not.

Someone send me my stuff.

And don't anyone go reading a lot into this - I am still obscenely busy irl, and will, even if I do finish this, be unable to post more than once or twice a week if even that.
