Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.
Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.
Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.
The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.
A wise man once proclaimed that the world functioned by a certain rule, a peculiar mechanism of natural selection. Weed out the weak blood and fearful while paving the road for species that are stronger, tougher, faster, smarter and so on. Some ridiculous people with equally idiotic notions claim that this simple understanding of our world undermines the moral standards of today's society by letting the strong govern standards of justice to the detriment of the weak. Perhaps these feeble minded individuals are just too blind to see the world for what it really is; chaotic. This is a world filled to the brim with chaos, whether it be political, social or plain environmental. We must adapt our ways to the requirements of this chaos or succumb to its will and perish. So carry on you wayward soul, headstrong into the devil's maw and carve out your place in history as one of those 'strongest' that survived.
Kaen himself was a firm believer of this notion the the strongest, or the fittest, shall prevail over mankind and nature. So much so that when his captain instructed him to take on a second apprentice, he devised a little test of sorts that would weed out the weak that have on place among the ranks of Sunan's elite, the Anbu. The board was set, the pieces were moving. It was only a matter of time before the potential recruits would begin to show up, like lambs to the slaughter. What a perfect day for such an occasion, an odd hue waved heavy in the sky, a few clouds crawled across the canvas that was they sky. It smelled like there was a storm brewing in the distance, Suna hadn't had any rains for a long time now, it would be most welcomed. So there he awaited, clad in his Anbu attire atop a randomly erected wooden structure. He wouldn't speak until each of them arrived, wonder who the first shall be...
[OOC this is a exam of sorts for Kanmuri to attain Anbu in Training, we prefer privacy for time's sake, but I will not refuse spectators]
Kanmuri walked slowly through the sand dunes of the desert expanse as blood trickled off his sword. The young boy had just finished training and slaughtering some mature, Sunan boars. The aftermath of the battle was still present within him as he could still slightly feel the euphoric buzz of the demonic enzymes flowing through his veins.
The afternoon sky was great one for the occasion, the heat massaged the tense muscles of his body while the sky was beautiful to look at. It was a beautiful hue of blue that encompassed the desert, save for a few clouds. Though, it didn’t seem as if it would last for long. Having been forced to spend most of his days outside, Kanmuri could smell something coming. The atmosphere of the air didn’t match the signs above. A storm was coming, and hopefully, he’d be ready for all that awaited him.
This ominous day was a very important day for the eight year old; though, Kanmuri’s mind wasn’t one of anxiety or disarray.
Another step to complete... Kanmuri thought to himself.
The test warned of death and/or terrible injury. It was unknown to him how many others would be participating in the exam he intended to take. Of course, in order to get to this stage, the shinobi coming had to be competent in some way. However, Kanmuri knew the world wasn’t a fair one.
Not all shinobi are created equally…I’m a breed above the rest; I hope that our fates aren’t ones that intertwine, but if they are.. The eight year old thought to himself before saying, “You’re stories might end here.”
After his graduation from the academy, Kanmuri was made aware of an open apprentice position for the title of AiT. It was open to all ages, provided they passed the academy. Those attending would probably vary in age and skill set, but the “testing” was clearly not for the faint of heart, or for those who valued their lives. This was a necessary accomplishment. Kanmuri had a mission to do, and anything in the way of that would be either cut by his Bloodthirsty Crown or forced to their knees by unimaginable pain. However, it wasn’t guranteeed that all his competitors, assuming there were competitors, would be weaker than him. Hopefully, Kanmuri didn’t have to go all out, for his own sake.
Soon enough he would make it to his destination. Despite his training, he was the first to arrive. Although, he was sure he was at the right place as above him was an ANBU. A character that gave off a feeling very much similar to his demonic aura, dread. His body language spoke for itself. He had seen some things and was competent in what he did. His apprentice would most likely need to show similar traits, and Kanmuri was ready for the storm he’d have to persevere through as the scarlet eyed boy stared at the masked person.
One by one each potential candidate filtered to Kaen's location, each of them vastly different than the previous. Some appeared weak, but Kaen knew all to well not to judge a book by its cover. Their ages varied, some couldn't have been any older than 10, freshly out of the academy it seemed. Others looked not too far off from his own age, but each and everyone of them had a long way to go before any of them could be considered the apprentice of Ruin. Once he was pretty sure those that were actually coming had arrived, Kaen dropped from his wooden perch onto the ground with a subtle thud. This was official business so there wasn't any room for small talk. He began to pace back and forth in front of his rather large group of minors as he talked. "My superiors would like to thank you all for taking the time to 'try out' for our prestigious group of elitists. Each of you have some sort of unique talent that the government of Sunagakure has deemed interesting enough to allow each of you to be here today. But..." Kaen would stop in the middle of his walk and face the crowd of young potentials. "Because of legislation and policy I am obligated to inform you all of the hazards of this event. I will not bore you with the long version but essentially what it comes down to is that only one of you will leave with your life."
The group around Kanmuri erupted in worry and various concerns from the other participants. "That can't be right." A small girl exclaimed. "What a load of bullshit!" Another older looking boy yelled. On and on it went, louder and louder while Kaen's patience was running thin, it was time for it to stop. "ENOUGH!" A viscous roar exploded out of Kaen, his aura flaring to life as it washed over him and wreathed his body in fire and flame. The crowd instantly silences itself in fear and awe, only faint whispers managed to escape a select few individuals. Once he figured he had their attention, he would continue. "The Anbu is NOT a place for the timid or meek, if you are not willing to take the risk to become something greater than yourselves then you are free to leave. None of you are under any obligations to be here other than your own free will. This will be the first and last opportunity any of you will have to leave here alive. Make your choice and be quick about it..." Kaen would turn away momentarily as he waited for his crowd to thin out.
One by one people would begin to leave the scene until finally there was only 6 remaining. Kaen would turn around and shake his head lightly. "Only six? I suppose this will make the cleanup a bit easier..." Kaen would make his way to a nearby wooden post and lean up against it as he continued with this orientation. "Now that we have weeded out the useless, I would like each of you, one by one, to step forward and state your name for the record and why you chose to stay."
At first nobody moved, but a small, petite looking girl stepped up to the plate and spoke first. The others followed suit quite quickly afterwards. She appeared timid and her voice confirmed it. She didn't seem the Anbu type but she was either courageous or stupid enough to stay. "M-my name is Shii, I chose to stay because I believe it is the right thing to do. It would bring great honor to my house if I should succeed. If I failed then I suppose I will no longer be a burden to my family..." How touching, next!
The next to step forward was a bit more excited, a smile on his face that was almost too cheerful for a day such as this. "The name's Yuuto and I'm here today so i can receive the ultimate training so that I may defeat the enemies that dare threaten to harm Sunagakure. My resolve is strong and so are my jutsu, you can count on that!" The kid would give a ridiculous thumbs up before getting back into line, what a joke...
Following the suit of pathetic, the next kid sluggishly stepped forward and mumbled just loud enough for them to hear. "I'm here because I have nowhere else to go. My family was murdered by a group of bandits and I was committed to a public housing facility. It's a win win scenario for me either way." Well then... This kid was obviously going to go far in life, seemed he cared more about the downside to this little test then actually coming out on top. Moving on!
The next girl was quick to step forward and prominent with her vocals. Her attire was a bit more radical then the previous kids but she seemed tough enough, her spunk certainly said as much. "My name is Tsugama Hyuuga. I hail from a cousin branch of the main hyuuga family here in Suna. Don't let the family distance fool you as I am more than capable of holding my name high and proud. None of you will survive this day..." She eyed each of the participants in a threatening manner, this one was interesting. But only time would reveal whether or not she actually had the stuff. Suddenly the next guy snickered, her gaze instantly snapping to scowl at the next participant.
He didn't bother to step forward like the rest of these sheeple. Instead he opted to sit tight, not even bothering to look them in the eye. "You're all just a bunch of idiots. None of you deserve this position, none of you even know what it means to become an Anbu. Nobody gives a fuck about your name, they all have alias' there. The person you were before has nothing to do with who you become. And another thing, you Hyuuga trash are a disgrace to the dojutsu bearers of the world, do yourself a favor and kill yourself for me, you're barely worth my time." Kaen eyed the boy through the slits in his mask, this one had ferocity. There was only one remaining, perhaps he would not bore him like the first couple had.
Soon after he had arrived. It became clear that Kanmuri was not the only person who looked to move up in the ranks. People flooded the area that he in to the point where it became uncomfortable. There was simply to many people, and the vast majority of them didn’t seem as if they were competent shinobi.
Eyes surveying the sea of people around him, Kanmuri thought to himself, Just how is one person going to be chosen from this many people?
Soon after his thought, the masked ANBU would speak with a cold, powerful voice. Kanmuri wasn’t one for long speeches, but he’d bear through it all. The mundane speech wouldn’t end on a boring one however, the final words would be one that caused a mad grin to spread across the face of the eight year old. Only one person was leaving alive. It wasn’t normal for humans to excited by the thought of bloodshed, but for some reason Kanmuri could never restrain himself after thinking about blood. Some of the people beside him would make space after seeing the look on his face. It might have been embarrassing for normal people, but Kanmuri was far from normal. The demonic enzymes flowing through his veins could only allow him to think one thing, BLOOD.
The crowd became extremely unruly and seemed to protest the insane notion of killing everyone until one remained. Unfortunately, the patience of the ANBU would have none of this. With a viscous roar, the man told everyone to silence themselves. Immediately, the crowd was filled with fear and consequently stopped talking. Following this, silence, another speech would be given which instructed those, who didn’t have to heart to fight to, leave.
The sea of people quickly evaporated into just six people. The ANBU then instructed everyone left to come and introduce themselves along with explaining why they chose to stay. The first three of the five that introduced themselves missed something. Kanmuri felt bored upon hearing them. There was something missing, conviction...threat. However, last two carried themselves much different.
Hyuuga Tsugama was a Hyuuga who hailed from the cousin branch. She wasn’t from the main branch, and due to the way she spoke, Kanmuri wondered whether she was insecure about it. She talked big, but her words seemed to be more for herself than for us. The last guy was different...much different
He gave no name. He didn’t go to the front and introduce himself. He spoke from where he stood. He was straight to the point and had an air of confidence and more threat than the rest of the previous competitors. Kanmuri began to think that the two could have been friends if they had met on different circumstances, but he regretted having that thought after hearing the next words to come out of his mouth.
“...you Hyuuga trash are a disgrace to the dojutsu bearers of the world, do yourself a favor and kill yourself for me, you're barely worth my time."
Upon hearing this, Kanmuri’s demonic enzymes began to run rampant in his systems. A euphoric buzz would fill his body, but an angry look would take the place of the usual, mad grin on his face. Slowly he walked to the front, filled with anger. Kanmuri would turn and lock eyes with the taller dark haired boy and speak these words,
“My name is Kanmuri, and I’ll make this short. You all will die. However, you, with the dark hair will die by my hands first.”
Unable to hold his anger, Kanmuri’s demonic aura would fully release. A heavy feeling of death and dread would spread over everyone in the room along with a palpable feeling of fear. Only those who were fearless would be able to withstand the dark presence the white haired boy gave off. Kanmuri would the continue speaking,
“I usually try to keep things short, but you’ve forced my hand. The world is a messed up place because of people like you. You’re one of the causes for a terrible world. You were given a precious gift, but you’re the type to abuse that gift. Now, I’m going to take that gift away from you. Maybe next time, you’ll learn just how precious the lives of people are.
Not waiting for a whistle or signal, the scarlet eyed boy was unable to hold himself back any longer. Blood would have to be spilled; thus, Kanmuri drew his sword.

Before Kaen could even attempt to go into further detail about their special event for today, the young and brazen participant names Kanmuri took it upon himself to start the fight early. No harm really, this was the entire point to this trial anyway, Kaen was pretty sure they understood the rules. This along with the fact that they would need to be prepared for anything and any moment made this a perfect test to determine his next apprentice. Kaen was quick on the ball and flung through a series of hand signs before slamming his hand down onto the ground. A large rumble upset the area as the ground began to part and grow as massive mounds of earth rose from the ground and compacted themselves to form an open ended arena of dirt and stone. All but the top portion was open, leaving the individuals within a roughly 50 x 50 foot playground for them to fight for their lives.
Kaen jumped to the top of his newly created barrier wall to gaze down upon his potential candidates who were well underway with their free for all brawl. Gin, clearly the more experienced of the small group was quick and prepared for the early attack and reacted accordingly. Kanmuri appeared to unleash a wide array of his techniques, he meant business. But one would need to fight like his life depended on it and thus not a single one of these kids should hold anything back. Anything and everything they had at their disposal would need to be utilized for them to survive this day. Tsugama, while not quite as quick as Gin, was also quick and activated her clan's visual technique that would surely give her the edge she would need over the rest of these people.
At once the jutsus began to fly through the air, Shii with a accurate jet of water, Yuuto with a slash of vibrant energy. It had truly begun now. Another split second later and the small area lit up to the point where Kaen was nearly knocked off his perch on high. Gin was stronger than he anticipated and extra precautions would be needed. Another flurry of hand signs and he would utilize an Anbu trade jutsu and erect a secondary barrier of sorts, Black Blockade. This would ensure that nobody could try and run and no stray jutsu would go flying towards the outside population. Most of these techniques were familiar to Kaen, either having seen them used before or performed them himself. But Kanmuri was displaying something new and unique, something he had never seen before. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but something was strange, an unseen power dwelling within and around him.
Suddenly two cries rang out as both Yuuto and Touma fell to the ground after an insane combo by Tsugama would somehow managed to decimate the entire crowd, just falling short at Kanmuri's position. She looked up from her low stance at Kanmuri, giving him a wink as she sheathed her weapon and changed her fighting stance and doing a few back flips to make some distance from him. Shii, obviously overwhelmed attempted to rinse and repeat the same technique again, missing her target entirely. Kanmuri was attempting to focus on Gin but his sharingan gaze locked with Kanmuri's and somehow forced it down with sheer willpower alone. "HAHAHAHAHA, you're all so weak! Choke on this you pathetic lot!" Silence overtook the arena like the calm before the storm as Gin powered up a monumental attack that devastated his targets, roasting them alive. Shii fell to the ground, her skin sizzling and clothes half burnt away. Gin seemed to busy paying attention to his deeds as Kanmuri's attack caught him off guard, striking a vital spot. A spurt of blood splattering against the cold hard ground that was the earthen walls of their cage. Tsugama clung to a high point of one of the 4 walls and began to form a long series of seals. "For the glory of the Hyuuga clan!" The entire arena shook and rumbled as massive tendrils of sand dug up through the ground's surface and invaded the area. Whatever was emanating around Kanmuri seemed to help him evade some of the tendrils, but one of them managed to strike true and hard. Gin on the other hand was caught up and swallowed whole as they overtook him. As the dust settled, only three potential apprentices remained, all three badly injured, nearly half way beaten. This wouldn't last too much longer, it was anyone's match from this point on. "Good, tear each other apart until only one remains, remember, only one of you will leave this box alive..." Kaen would remain perched on high, watching the younger generation fight for their right to live, and somewhat to his own amusement...
It had been a long, arduous and frankly mind-numbing experience being so injured after her ascension. Thankfully the worst of it was over and she wouldn't have to spend so much time on bedrest and hospital appointments. There were still a few visible bandages on her body by they weren't as much of a hindrance as doing a mummy cosplay so she was thankful for that. Now that she was free to actually work again however she needed to find her teacher, he'd been the one taking her out on missions so it made sense that he would be the one she needed to continue with. Finding a member of the ANBU corps, however, could prove to be difficult so her first port of call would be to visit his home, that turned up useless as neither he nor his sister seemed to be home and she was left instead to search the old-fashioned way.
She assumed that if he was out, he was working and she would need to dress appropriately, more chance she'd get to help out a little then to and she did so enjoy getting to play with the naughty boys and girls. If she'd been a betting lass, Teke would have guaranteed that she'd find Kaen in the slums, a good place to find some nice, illicit dealing and stick your nose or fist in and considering her few visits to the place she was starting to give the place a nickname all her own. "Feeding Grounds." She smiled as her black clothes form blurred across the rooftops of the buildings, keep a watchful eye out for anything that looked suspicious, or suspicious enough to be what she was looking for. She spent a fair amount of time jumping through each of the districts before she came to hear it, the sounds of combat, quite a lot of it if her ears weren't playing tricks on her.
There was no point in arriving without some kind of spectacle, everyone should notice the princes when she entered the scene and even these types of things were no different. She jumped high into the sky as she performed her handseals. Before anyone could notice anything unnatural was happening from the sky that seemed to be threatening to start storming a large, blinding bolt of lightning struck one of the surrounding buildings, scattering debris over the general vicinity which included the battlefield. Anyone looking over to see what it was would find a small girl with blonde hair and clad in a black uniform perched at the edge of the roof with an excited smile on her face.
"So Ruin, what manner of games are we playing today? Do I get the chance to take one of these lucky insects home?" She asked as if the battle below was naught but amusing to her. Her golden cat-like eyes scanned the field, seemed a lot of kids were down already though none of them had died quite yet, then she licked her lips as her eyes came to lock onto the lone surviving female of the battle and she pointed. "I'd like that one when you're done." She announced matter of factly to Kaen before adding "That means don't kill her by the way, cattle. You can do whatever with the rest." With that, she crossed one leg over the other and watched on with a sadistic smile.
Dashing forward, the young Kanmuri was filled with malicious intent. Unable to control himself, his demonic aura surged through the entire area causing the place to become heavy and filled with dread. The palpable taste of death lingered in the air. Only those who were not afraid of death would be able to stand firm and not fall in fear of his aura. Out of the five people, only two remained standing after the Hyuuga and the disgraceful black haired man male.
His sword was drawn, but before he could even attack, he was struck with a water jutsu, which would leave a shallow gash on him, but there was no pain. There was only pleasure. A mad grain spread across the face of the boy. There was something within in that was bubbling-waiting to explode with excitement.
Then, a grim voice would whisper in his head, “Do you want to unleash your inner demon?”</GLOW><i></i>
There was no need to respond to the voice in his head, the answer was obvious and instantaneously, power filled the body of the eight-year old. Coupled with the euphoric buzz of his demonic enzymes, a cold, dead feeling washed over the boy. His skin lost all warmth and he could no longer feel his heart beating, but he was alive. He was on another level. He was unbeatable.
Kanmuri quickly recovered from the squirt of water and performed hand seals while charging towards the black haired boy. However, he’d be met with eyes deeper in red than his own. His genjutsu had failed, but like a crazed animal, Kanmuri didn’t slow down in stride. In fact, he quickened. He had no control over his body, it was merely a vessel for something else-something not from this world. Kanmuri’s body was breaking through its limits and acting on its own. This was the gift of his contract, but there would be a cost. No great power comes free.
Flames would engulf the arena, but a blue cloak seemed to absorb the flames around Kanmuri. The fire, that was supposed to be stabbing and searing his skin, felt like nothing. His skin visibly burned from the heat, but it was instantly repaired thanks to his inhuman regenerative abilities. The white haired boy didn’t scream out in pain but burst out in laughter. Uncontrollably laughing in his high prepubescent voice, Kanmuri bit his lower tongue causing his blood to squirt out. The more his body was destroyed, the more euphoria spread throughout it...and the more he craved for blood. Both he and his sword wanted it, the taste of a strong opponent. Their blood would belong to him.
Then Kanmuri could feel it, in fact he could see it, his Bloodthirsty Crown, his sword, was being held in his hands, but enveloping his hands was a blue aura that only he could see. The sword was instantly placed in between his legs and his body swirled and sliced through the air before making contact with the black haired male. At an unbelievable speed, Kanmuri’s sword devoured the skin of his opponent before tendrils made from the ground would come his way and force him off. Two of the tendrils would phase right through the demonic boy, but the other two would go through his arms.
Almost instantly, he’d use his sword and free himself by slashing around him at a blazing speed. He was bleeding much more now. A small puddle was beginning to form around him. Kanmuri would place his hands on his shoulder and only feel coldness. The blood of the animals he’d always kill was warm and saturating, but his own was ice cold. Why could he only feel pleasure from this harmful experience? Why was he going mad? Kanmuri could only think this while locked in his subconscious, but his exterior-his body!-was laughing. He’d then look at his hands and his eyes would bulge widely. It was his blood in his hands and the sight of it only caused him to laugh more and more. He was losing control.
“HAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You guys...you guys are strong!!! Let me see it-Let me taste it! I want more, this isn’t enough.
Then the sound of Kanmuri’s voice would change into a hideous, foul one and declare, <GLOW glow="blue">“How does the blood of strong people TASTE” and the body of the scarlet eyed boy would once again dash into the fray desperate for blood. His demonic aura would then resurge stronger and causing the air around everyone to become much heavier and colder. Tension filled the air as time stood still. The seemingly harmless eight year old boy had now transformed into a monster.

~ Sorry it took me so long to get this out, I got sick last Wednesday and then through my weekend
Tensions were rising in this incredible show of various unique abilities. Even for children and young adults these three remaining each showed potential. However only one would achieve the right to call themselves an Anbu of Sunagakure and one of Kaen's personal apprentices. Only a mere ten seconds have past since the fight initiated and already half of the group was unconscious. These fodder would never amount to anything noteworthy, or at least their display of personal prowess indicated as much today. Kaen would turn to Teke and begin to speak, but was rudely interrupted by the sudden appearance of another masked Anbu garbed in black. He wasted no time in his mini mission and promptly handed Kaen a small sealed scroll. Kaen shook his head as he opened and read it silently. "I've got some bad news, Teke..." Suddenly action takes over the scene, let's check back in with the last three participants...
"HUAAAAAAAA!" Tsugama's voice reverberates around the small enclosure as another viscous wave of tendrils swarm the area attempting to consume both Kanmuri and Gin. The red eyed Uchiha easily escapes from the attack, only receiving a minor scratch. "My eyes see all, sheer numbers is the only way you can touch me you milky eyed harlot." A cocky smile spread across Gin's face as his eyes twisted and reshaped themselves to reveal his Mangekyou Sharingan, things were certainly gaining momentum. Both Tsugama and Gin felt the looming presence of Kanmuri's devilish aura, the underdog of this fight. They most certainly were underestimating him and it would most certainly be their downfall.
Another few seconds passed by before an incredible aura burst forth from Tsugama as a beautiful trail of dark ink spread across her skin to form a series of vines etches over her body, the telltale signs of a cursed seal. Kanmuri underwent a similar alteration as a spike of power also emanated from his body. Gin scoffed at them, holding his head high as if he felt superior to each of them. "I see now that you both must rely on petty tricks to climb the ranks, such a waste of my time." Gin began to weave a series of signs, but Tsugama was quick on the draw and prepared a Hyuuga trick of her own and began to spin rapidly in an attempt to deflect whatever came her way, somehow managing to strike a blow to both Gin and Kanmuri. Dust and wind swirled around the young Byakugan user as she spun faster and faster until she was nothing more than a blur.
"Raging dragon inferno jutsu!" Suddenly the air grew still as Gin took in a deep breath after announcing his next technique. He raised a free hand to his mouth as a massive torrent of fire spewed forth, consuming both Tsugama and Kanmuri whole. Kanmuri's mysterious persona took the chance at this open window of opportunity and lashed out multiple times, catching Gin off guard. But still Gin's flaming torrent continued despite him having to dip, duck and dodge the assault aimed at him. His focus was shot and was now wary of an unsuspected Kanmuri, causing him to miss the last couple seconds of his flaming geyser towards Kanmuri. Again action was taken against him, but with his attentions free from no longer maintaining an overpowered flamethrower, his Mangekyou Sharingan easily saw it coming and evaded each swing with relative ease. "I can't believe this is my competition..." Gin muttered his insults just loud enough for them both to hear, clearly wanting them to hear him goading them on.
Then from within the still spinning orb that was Tsugama, a mighty declaration could be heard from within. "I'll show you some competition!" The spinning came to an abrupt stop as a raving Tsugama came barreling outwards with her fists raised. She screamed as she charged towards Gin. But the Uchiha was far to clever for her and was already inside her head, causing her to easily lose focus due to his constant mocking. Gin side stepped her, grabbed her by the hair before using her own momentum against herself and then aimed her devastating attack towards an unsuspecting Kanmuri. "HAhahahaha, you really are an outcast arent you, so pathetic you let an uchiha best you at hand to hand combat. You should just quit right now while you at least of some semblance of honor. This is your final warning..." Gin weaved through a massive array of hand seals with malcontent in his eyes. Once they were completed he thrust his hands high into the air and appeared to grab hold of some invisible force before pulling the unseen force down. It was unsure what he was up to, unless one was a master of fire jutsu and knew what was coming. "I had fun..." And then before their very eyes, Gin faded from view as he somehow melded away from view, his voice echoing around them from the shadows. "But this ends now..."
Meanwhile above the chaos happening below...
Teke turned to Teke and explained the issue at hand, but said it quietly enough to where only they could hear. "It would appear there was a mishap at HQ and the original request I was given to recruit a new apprentice was a mistype. Apparently nobody was intended to perish here and instead I was supposed to ensure that NO lives were taken this day." Kaen crumpled the scroll up before setting it aflame within his palm, letting the ashes drift into the breeze. "What a waste of time, I would have never gone through so much trouble had I known nobody was supposed to die. Sorry about your luck, looks like you won't be getting to eat those juicy byakugans. At least not today. I suppose I'll wait till the end to tell them, let's just see how well they follow orders, at least I can gauge the winner's compliance. Mother Suna help me if they are just as stubborn as you, Bee..." She probably couldn't see it, but a smile spread across his face as he teased her playfully.
[OOC - Sorry for the extended wait again, I've been swamped at work, only had time to do this because I stayed to work overtime on graveyard. At least I have time there lol]
Kanmuri watched-locked from the inside of his inner psyche-as the demon within him took control.
"No...NO!" Kanmuri screamed from the inside of his mind. He walked backwards before falling on what seemed to be the ground. Surrounded by darkness, Kanmuri had no sense of distance or depth. All he could see was what the demon controlling his body could see. "This...This isn’t what I wanted...I didn’t ask for this!" The boy would scream as he slammed a fist on the ground. Then, in a cloud of blue fire, the shinigami would materialize behind him. "Your wish has been granted, boy…"</B><i></i> The dark voice of the Shinigami would catch the eight year old off guard as he quickly stumbled up and turned around.
Kanmuri’s face quickly morphed into a face full of hatred. Pointing his finger, Kanmuri growled, "You! Give me back my body!" The face, or skull, of the shinigami remained unfazed as it responded, “I will not die because my host lacks competence."<i></i>
“Lack competence? You must be confused. I called on you to test out this new power. I could easily win without you!” The white haired boy screamed back as he clenched his fists.
“You lack competence. Learn...”<i></i> The Shinigami would state dryly as it pointed towards the screen showcasing what was going on. On the screen, Kanmuri would see his body phase through a majority of the girl’s tendrils phase through him and one pierce his leg. The force of the tendril would cause more blood to come pour out of Kanmuri’s body.
“Learn? Look at my bo-"
"Shhh"<i></i> the Shinigami cut off Kanmuri as it continued pointing to the screen. On the screen, the black haired boy would be of focus. The eyes of the boy would morph into something else entirely. Then the screen would switch to the girl, and focus on her eyes as veins popped from the corners of her eyes. The playback on the screen would decrease greatly in speed almost as if everything has be put in slow motion.“The boy is an Uchiha and the girl a Hyuuga. They are not to be taken lightly, more so the boy than the girl."
The countenance of Kanmuri would change as his face would become concerned. Back when I had control, they were pretty good, but they’ve gotten much stronger somehow...Is that why he forcefully took over my body…? Kanmuri would think before asking, ”OK, I won’t argue with you anymore. It’d only be a waste of time. Tell me what you know." In a defeated manner, Kanmuri would unclench his fists and open his ears up to the Shinigami.
The Shinigami would then continue speaking, “The boy is of the Uchiha bloodline. The Uchiha clan is known for their rather troublesome, Sharingan. The Sharingan allows its users to read their opponent’s movements and chakra flow in order to predict attacks. This allows them to dodge and hit faster. A mastered sharingan has three tomoe, which you should have seen earlier, boy..."
“Kanmuri...Miroku Kanmuri, not 'boy' ” Kanmuri would interrupt.
Ignoring Kanmuri, the Shinigami would continue “The sharingan can do a plethora of tricks, but those who are well skilled can evolve their sharingan to a heightened form, the Mangekyo Sharingan, which is much more difficult to handle. The evasiveness and accuracy of an Uchiha who has awakened their Mangekyo is on a much higher level. In addition, they get acquire new tricks. Though, you have some tricks of your own…”<i></i>
The speed on the screen would then return to normal and Kanmuri’s body would begin to be covered in black markings. Feeling a new surge of power, Kanmuri would scream with excitement in the video.“The tattoo! It finally worked!" Kanmuri would ecstatically state.
“That’s no ordinary tattoo. Your father gifted you with a cursed seal."<i></i> Upon hearing the black haired Uchiha say “petty tricks,” the Shinigami would shake its head in disappointment while, “This boy’s arrogance will be his downfall. A Cursed Seal is no petty trick. It allows its users to perform in a way that they wouldn’t naturally be able to. Although, it is usually drawn out in a way that is of agonizing pain, but you will experience the opposite because of what you are…"<i></i> The Shinigami would inform Kanmuri.
“Because of what I am? What do you mean?”
“Now onto the Hyuuga…”<i></i> the Shinigami would say as it ignored Kanmuri’s question. The screen would then show the girl spinning rapidly and creating a barrier around herself as she hit Kanmuri and the Uchiha’s body. “The Hyuuga have the Byakugan which is essentially similar to the sharingan, but is more suited for hand to hand combat. This girl hasn’t been using it to its utmost potential, but still reaps the benefits of being more evasive and accurate."<i></i>
On the screen, Kanmuri’s body would be seen on fire before quickly being extinguished and launching toward the Uchiha to land a few attacks before missing the next strong of attacks completely. The Uchiha would the weave a long string of signs before disappearing from sight.
“This Uchiha is very troublesome...You have no choice but to deal with that Uchiha first. I’ve informed you of your opponents. They may be able to predict your attacks, but that does not mean that they can avoid your attacks, if you’re quick enough that is. Do try to remember that…"<i></i> The Shinigami would say as the surroundings around Kanmuri would return to normal. He was struggling to control his body as his senses were restored to him. Pleasure. Pleasure was all that Kanmuri could feel as his body leaked blood and the right side of his body was covered in black markings.
This power...is UNBELIEVABLE! The eight year old would scream before quickly covering his mouth. I need to control myself. The Uchiha needs to be taken down. Just like the shinigami said, I need to strike fast. Kanmuri would say as he held his sword in hand and tried his best to keep still as excitement caused his body to shake and tremble. It was more than any ordinary person could handle, and his thoughts were clouded, but Kanmuri didn’t have a choice but to endure. His life and his goals depended on his survival. Kanmuri would force his aura out once more and fill the air with dread again. The chances of him surviving were all in his hands. This needed to be the final round.

As the battle below ensued, the sky up above was quickly turning a vibrant shade of reds, yellows and oranges as Gin's massive orb of energy was building up its momentum. Soon it would collide with the participants below with little to no hope in sight. While it may have seemed like Kaen wasn't paying all that much attention to the fight below him, the truth of the matter was in fact the opposite. It was true that Teke was holding part of his interest, but if one was to become Kaen's second apprentice they would surely need to meet a certain criteria. He admired each of their unique abilities and how they utilized them in combat. On might have thought that as one fire user to another, Kaen would take favor with Gin. But Gin was reckless and had would prove difficult to control. Tsugama seemed more concerned with how the members of her clan would view her opposed to focusing on the duties that would be bestowed upon her should she prevail in the end. Obviously the first three to go down were completely off the table. Anyone who falls within the first 10 seconds was obviously fodder. Kanmuri on the other hand was a complete enigma. Something about his fighting style interested him, it was something new and confusing. Kaen couldn't quite put his finger on how it worked or what 'it' even was. He would need to inquire further should the boy prevail over these older and more experienced foes.
"You daft idiot! We're in a enclosed box in the middle of the day, do you really think you can hide from the fury of my sands?! Take this you edgy prick. HAAAAA!" This is where Kanmuri held his advantage, Tsugama seemed more likely to defeat Gin first before attempting to take down Kanmuri. Perhaps her eyes saw more then just what was in front of her, but could also see between the lines in that they shared a common enemy. Gin would surely win if they did not work together. While to some it might seem unfair to gang up on someone like this in what was to be a free for all, others might see it as pure wisdom. After all, isn't life but a natural free for all? People make short term alliances all the time to the benefit of a common goal. Kaen would have no qualms with this once it was over.
Kanmuri's aura continued to persist throughout the small arena, captivating the other participants inside. However much they tried to hide it, Tsugama and Gin most definitely felt the deathly presence that emanated outwards from Kanmuri. "Oh no...""Tchh..." A ebony sheet blanketed both Tsugama and Gin's vision as Kanmuri's clever little spell was weaved. They were blind to the world, helpless and lost. Tsugama tried to feel around blindly to no avail, Gin was un-phased as there was always a backup plan. A moment later the amount of Gins on the field multiplied which then spoke in unison in some strange attempt to sound cool.
"Your petty parlor tricks are no match for my visual prowess, you have doomed yourself boy..." "Your petty parlor tricks are no match for my visual prowess, you have doomed yourself boy..." "Your petty parlor tricks are no match for my visual prowess, you have doomed yourself boy..." "Your petty parlor tricks are no match for my visual prowess, you have doomed yourself boy..."
Meanwhile Tsugama gave up on feeling with her hands and resorted back to her training by feeling the ground beneath her. While she was classically trained as a Hyuuga in the arts of unarmed combat, she took a unique liking to the earth based elements and picked up a few tricks along the way. Feeling her way through the ground, a tremor sense if you will, she discerned the locations of the fallen participants knowing full well what was coming and what would happen to them if they were left unattended. While Kaen received news that this was NOT meant to be a blood bath with death and all that fun stuff, Tsugama was not aware and would technically be disqualified for her actions. But not everyone was created equal and thus she had a particular moral compass about her that prevented her from simply doing nothing. It would appear that she was a firm believer of the saying 'If you can help, you should'. A line for the weak and faint hearted if you asked Kaen, but to each their own I suppose. Once she found them, she called out to Kanmuri. "Hey, Kanmuri! I need you to get over here quick!" Tsugama then slammed her feet into the ground, stomping multiple times. With each motion a blunt burst of sand would send each of the KOd participants into a pile near Tsugama who was already weaving her way through a plethora of hand seals that looked complicated. What was she up to and why did she want him draw closer?
"Are you ladies done blabbing yet? Hey kid, did they teach you anything about Uchiha in school? Seems you are gonna learn a lesson the hard way, have a taste of your own medicine, hahaha." The patterns within Gin's eyes began to swirl as his inborn prowess was brought forth and demonstrated. In an instant the genjutsu Kanmuri so cleverly tried to use was cast back at him, how unfortunate. "You didn't honestly think you could get away with using genjutsu on me did you? You obviously don't deserve to be the mighty Ruin's apprentice. Just then one of Gin's clones burst as Kanmuri thrust his blade into it. "Hahahaa, you fool. I'm over here, I still can't believe you were even allowed in here. Go back home to your mommy before you get hurt kid. Still the Uchiha poked and prodded at his prey, not an admirable trait, but Kaen had his fair share of mocking the enemy. But there was always a time and a place as well as a limit. It appeared that Gin was so cocky that he let the reversed genjutsu fade away. "There you mongrels go, if you are going to lose I want you to witness it for yourself so there won't be any excuses when I emerge victorious." Like I said, reckless...
Tsugama's eyes blinked in disbelief as the genjutsu faded away. She was counting her lucky stars with how bold and overestimating Gin was in himself. But who cares so long as Gin doesnt win. At this point Tsugama figured she had no chance at winning. After they were finished with Gin, Kanmuri's deathly aura would surely consume her. So in a last ditch effort to do some good before she fell in battle, she devised a plan that would at least ensure the lives of the unfortunate few who fell earlier. "Kanmuri, it's now or never! Get over here, don't make me force you in here..." Her chakra buildup was complete and the complex seals woven. The earth below their feet slowly started to saturate before becoming a swirling vortex of water that gathered up the three KOd children along with Kanmuri should he attempt to flee instead of accepting Tsugama's invitation of safety. The water quickly reformed and solidified in preparation for what was to come. Tsugama gave a reassuring nod towards Kanmuri, hoping he understood she was trying to help him now. Gin only shook his head as he prepared himself to dodge his own technique. "My fire is stronger than any water barrier, you will still BURN!"
A moment later followed by a brilliant flash of light the fire jutsu struck the barrier. The earth shook beneath the arena, the waters within the dome stirred and swirled from the pressure. Gin was right, his fire was indeed stronger and instantly vaporized the dome of water that protected the other fighters. Thankfully the dome took most of the blow and those within were relatively unharmed. Even Gin himself succumbed to some small part of the blast. Tsugama fell to her feet as the barrier collapsed around them. She raised a weary hand towards Kanmuri. "I'll be ok, I just need a second to compose myself. Go get him, finish this!" Tsugama placed a shaky hand against her chest as a faint green glow emanated outwards in some small attempt to heal herself. It wasn't much, it was about the best she could do in the medical arts, it would have to do until after Kanmuri defeated Gin. She closed her eyes to rest them, only for a moment. She knew Kanmuri would defeat Gin...
As if time slowed to a crawl, it all built up to this moment. Kanmuri charging straight towards a seemingly helpless Gin. Perhaps he was too caught up in the moment, maybe he was too bloodthirsty to notice, whatever the case it would appear that Kanmuri would miss the sly smile spread across the Uchiha's face as he eagerly awaited Kanmuri's blade. In a split second time appeared to move along at normal speed, Kanmuri's blade sped towards victory. It looked as if this was the end. But what's this? Kanmuri was stopped in his tracks by some unseen force, the grin unequivocally more apparent then it could ever be. Gine would lean in closely and whisper into Kanmuri's ear before thrusting him away. "Nice try kid..." And then everything happened so quickly after that. A slight pressure could be felt, but not quite understood, at first. Tsugama slowly open her eyes to discover Kanmuri much closer than she might have wanted. She blinked a few times before realizing what had happened. Tsugama slowly looked down and watched as blood ran down her legs from the blade stuck within her stomach. The veins in her eyes relaxed and receded back, an almost peaceful look filled her eyes as she slowly slipped away. "I-i... I tried..." A single hand tried to reach up to cup Kanmuri's cheek before failing and falling to her side, Tsugama was officially out of this match.
Teke smiled as she looked down at the fighting children, she was coming to enjoy watching fighting as a sport of sorts. It gave her a good look at who a person was and forced them to wear their true selves on their sleeves and she liked that. There were some rather interesting characters down their too though the girl's eyes had trouble not watching the young Hyuuga, she was interesting to Teke but at the same time, it had been hard to ignore the now two remaining males. Of the two the red eyed one, which she assumed to be an Uchiha, seemed to have the biggest mouth which while she might appreciate the taunting he did go on just a tad and seemed to be fuled on rage alone which she didn't appreciate. "Gonna be interesting when he loses." She said out loud to herself, she was living proof that anger alone wasn't enough fuel for a fight but she wasn't about to teach him that valuable lesson. The other male, a very young boy who seemed to have some problems of his own and he was having trouble working through it all whilst still putting on a hell of a fight, she'd be interested in questioning him afterward just to know what was happening with all of that.
The girl would shrug as Kaens spoke to her of the incompetence of the higher-ups, this was indeed quite the screw-up but happily also coincided with her plan involving the young Hyuuga. "I can hardly act shocked over such a revelation but it's probably for the best." She answered with a smile and a shrug, rocking her dangling feet back and forth. "This may be a shock but I hadn't planned on eating her up, though she is rather delicious looking. Rather I want to test her a little on my own time, I've a vested interest in her eyes whilst firmly planted in her head still." It was at this point that the girl in fact dropped, it was to be expected but she'd held on well and this battle was clearly down to its final moments, with a sigh she stood up on the edge of the building and waited.
"For her to be able to hold out again all the rage boiling in the Uchiha asshole, I have to imagine she has potential that I can help sharpen." She said this as she cracked her knuckles, clearly preparing to hop down into the midst once the last man was standing. "I wouldn't worry though, Ruin. There's only one of me and that's all the world needs." She giggled. "But I think it's almost time for us to intervene and I doubt words alone will satiate some down there."

As the sword shook in Kanmuri’s hands, he would notice the hue of the sky begin to change. Although it now sometime in the afternoon, the sky resembled that of an ominous sunset as the sky overhead would turn into a deep red and orange.
“Prepare yourself.” The Shinigami would warn.
The eight year old had no idea what was to approach, but none of it mattered. Gin needed to be struck down. He needed to die. He had abused his precious gift of life. This fact was all the conviction Kanmuri needed as it was contrary to his ideal world. Gin Uchiha needed to be eliminated, and he needed to die now…
With his body still leaking blood, Kanmuri would feel the ground shake and instinctively jumped as a tendril barely missed him. However, the onslaught would continue as another tendril would strike him right in the back. Although the force was not enough to pierce his skin like the previous times, it still carried the power to send Kanmuri spiraling into the ground. Upon reaching the ground, he tumbled and regained his footing, but the ground would shake rapidly as another tendril would luckily phase straight through his body before retreating back into the ground. The last tendril would dart forward from in front of Kanmuri. Placing his hands in front of his chest and jumping backwards, Kanmuri’s body would absorb the impact once again and dodge getting pierced and bleeding anymore than he already had. Having dealt with all of the tendrils, Kanmuri instantly let his morbid aura fill the air. The final round had officially begun.
Despite all the events that had happened, the normal onlooker would have been surprised to realize that it all happened in less than a second. However as time went on, so did the timer’s deadline-dwindling ever slowly as the comet would now pierce throw clouds and force them back. I need to prevent Tsugama and that Uchiha from hitting me before my body gives out on me. Kanmuri would say as he quickly weaved hand signs for a genjutsu. Before he could cast it, he’d feel a sensation in his eyes.
“Aim for their shadows...” The Shinigami would advise inside of Kanmuri’s head. Because of their connection, he’d didn’t have to say anything in order for the Shinigami to know that he was grateful.
Looks like he cares after all Kanmuri thought to himself.
“Don’t get so comfortable with me, Kanmuri-kun…
A small smile would go across the face of the boy as cast his genjutsu at the source that only he could see. Feeling the mental connection, Kanmuri nodded before dashing towards the Uchiha. He’d used the visual genjutsu, Verse of Darkness, which made both of his opponents blind, or at least it appeared as if they were blind. Kanmuri would see Tsugama feeling the ground as she struggled to see. It seemed as if she could actually “see” but the young boy was not sure nor did he care. He needed to take down the Uchiha, and he needed to do it now.
Kanmuri dashed at his opponent only to be stopped in his tracks after hearing Tsugama call his name. He’d turn his head after hearing a warning, and see that the Hyuuga was collecting the fallen battlers.
Wide-eyed, the demonic child thought to himself, Is she...protecting them? From the meteor? This is a death match...Just why? Why would she save them? Before Kanmuri could finish his thoughts, the arrogant Uchiha teen would say some taunting words before Kanmuri’s vision would go black. My vision? Did he? Kanmuri’s thoughts would be interrupted by the Uchiha’s words. His genjutsu had been reversed on him. Unable to see, Kanmuri rushed his sword quickly into where the Uchiha once stood. He had made hit him or rather a clone.
It was at that time that the genjutsu’s effects would disappear. His opponent had released them from the genjutsu just to taunt them. Kanmuri chuckled to himself before thinking Looks like you were right, Shinigami. His arrogance will be his downfall.
The Uchiha would then taunt more and more, but Kanmuri was not one to be affected by taunts. He would smile upon hearing them as they only reaffirmed his beliefs. Gin was going to die, and it would be by his hands.
Upon being called once again by Tsugama, Kanmuri would rush by her side. Maybe it was because he was young, or maybe it was because of his intuition, but he knew that it wasn’t a trap. Tsugama was truly a kind hearted person, and he would ensure that she didn’t lose her life. When his time would come to face her, he’d wouldn’t make it a painful one. The earth around them would shake rapidly before a barrier of water erupted to surround them from what was to come.
Kanmuri would ignore the taunts of the Uchiha and look around him. With clenched fists, Kanmuri tried his best to control himself. The demonic enzymes, bruises, and cursed seal were overloading his mind with pure pleasure. His body couldn’t stand not fighting in this state. His eyes would then look at those knocked out around him.
They are of this village. Not only that, they didn’t show signs of misusing their gifts. I won’t kill them. There’s no need. Not unless I’m ordered to again. Kanmuri would think to himself as the ball of fire made its way down towards them. It would finally come down engulfed in flames and crash into the barrier as the whole ground shook as if fighting against an indomitable force. The flames instantly dissolved the barrier and a blast caused Kanmuri along with the other people on the field to fly back. On his back, Kanmuri would feel the hand of Tsugama trembling. She was telling him the same thing he’d been trying to do this entire fight. Finish this.
Hands trembling with excitement, Kanmuri slowly raised his sword and leveled it just right. There Gin stood, motionless. It was now or never. He was set and ready. Kanmuri launched himself straightforward at the Uchiha with blistering speed. Gin would die here and now, or so he thought. Time itself crawled now. Gin’s face was covered with a sly, grin and Kanmuri’s momentum was too much for him to stop. He feel for the Uchiha’s trap. Seemingly defying time, the black haired teen would condescendingly whisper, “Nice try kid…” into Kanmuri’s ear as everything around Kanmuri became a blur. When time and space focused, the eyes of the eight year old boy slowly, widely opened.
“Tsu...Tsugama...No, no, no…”
Blood trickled down from the girl’s stomach to her legs. The sword piercing through her back created a puddle of blood from its tip, and the veins surrounding the girl’s eyes drifted deeper into the body as her eyes returned to their normal color.
Tears welled up in the eyes of the boy as he whispered, “She’s...going to die. She doesn’t deserve to.” He would then yell, “She wasn’t a bad person!”
Tsugama’s body would then fall backwards off of the sword and into its own body of blood as she said her final words. Her hands tried to reach and touch Kanmuri’s cheeks, but it wouldn’t reach. She was gone. Tears would roll stream down the face of the motionless eight year old. He didn’t have feelings for her. He didn’t know her prior to the exam. He didn’t care for her until recently. Call it naivety. Call it unnecessary. Call it over exaggerated. Kanmuri didn’t care. He. Was. Pissed.
He dropped his sword and clenched his fists to the point where a huge pop resounded across the arena. He had dislocated his left wrist, but as usual, there was no pain. Except this time, there was no pleasure either. There was only nothingness. There was only anger. This was the first time Kanmuri had taken a human life, a life taken without any reason. The ends justified the means for Kanmuri, but what was the end goal al of taking Tsugama’s life?
“From the start...you despised her. You taunted, condescended, disrespected, belittled, and slandered her clan and name. Kanmuri’s voice would raise as he said each word, but it would decrease again as he continued, “For what? Self-confidence? Reaffitmation of superiority? No...it was none of that. I know why...It was because of your eyes. Silence would fill the air as Kanmuri’s words floated above and created tension. “You don’t deserve death. Death would be a blessing. I’ll destroy that pride of yours I’ll destroy your life. I’ll destroy who. You. Are. You’re going to be a living dead man. I will make you regret being the person you are now…
“Take his soul...Kanmuri-kun. Give into your anger. Let the darkness consume you. Destroy this self and become what you’re destined to be. The next god of death of this world. The Shinigami would whisper; however, Kanmuri cared not for the words being spoken in his head. All he wanted was retribution. Gin would die here. Gin would die now, and anything stopping him from doing so, would deal with him as well.
“Your eyes…
Kanmuri’s demonic aura would manifest for the first time and explode around him while engulfing him. The aura was red, but there was seemingly only black darkness within. All that could be made out was the glowing, scarlet eyes of Kanmuri.
...are mine” Kanmuri would declare.

If Gin is knocked out at ANY point in the match. Kanmuri is to ATTEMPT to gouge both of his eyes out and slice off both of his hands from the wrist down.
And there it was, that rare but ever powerful spark. Kaen's brows raised in response the fire that was lit within Kanmuri. Gin's actions stoked the flame of passion within his younger foe which only could lead to Gin's own demise. This is what Kaen was looking for, someone to share a similar but equally moving passion that can only come from true loss or turmoil. Yes, Kanmuri was the one. Albeit he was younger, less experienced and still had a long way to go in terms of power and battle prowess, but these things didn't concern Kaen. In due time Kaen could help sculpt and mold this young being to fruition, transform him into a powerful tool for Sunagakure. At least that's what it would appear like, there are motives behind closed doors that were not yet ready to be revealed.
Kaen chuckled lightly in response to Teke's conceited words. "May the gods help us all should there ever be two of you, Teke..." Kaen jested lightly, also preparing to intervene. The battle was essentially over, Kanmuri taking the victory by a nose. Yet the boy seemed headstrong and insistent on officially finishing it once and for all. Kaen admired his his raging passion, but this was not the time or place for such actions. "As fun as it would be to see how the uchiha would fair without his precious sharingan, HQ would have my head if someone were seriously injured here. Rather boring and not exactly a fitting test of skill, but I've seen enough to know the kid has potential." Kaen stood up and nonchalantly stretched before releasing the black blockade jutsu that had enclosed the arena. "I'll take care of the kid, you get the dojutsu users to the hospital as it would appear they both require immediate attention, your little hyuuga pet especially." With another string of hand seals, Kaen jumped down into the fray below slamming his hand into the ground. A plume of smoke erupted around him as he summoned a faithful servant of slime. Those three require medical attention, please help them. I have another matter to take care of." Kaen delegated to his slug contract who hastily attended the three fallen participants while Kaen dialed Kanmuri into his sights.
“Your eyes… All at once Kanmuri's chakra manifested itself in a powerful display of power. It would cause Kaen to falter temporarily as he took a brief moment to adjust to the sudden influx of energy emanating from the small boy. With enough time and training, he could perhaps even surpass Kaen in terms of power. But that day was far from now and Kaen easily outweighed the boy as he was and pressed forward without issue. ...are mine” Suddenly Gin clasped both his hands over his eyes and forehead as a wave of pain washed over him from Kanmuri's genjutsu. Another brief moment later and the Uchiha collapsed unconscious, succumbing to his wounds. But the boy was not done with him yet as he drew his sword, ready to take everything from the red eyed teen. Kaen had faith that Teke would whisk him away in time, but he wasnt going to take any chances and quickly summoned a ring of fire, entrapping Kanmuri within, Kaen included. Unsure if Kanmuri's rage would consume him and take over, Kaen attempted to approach him slowly. "The fight is over, you are victorious. Quell your inner flames boy and come to reason." Kaen knew all to well how difficult it was, almost impossible really, to stay your hand when things such as this were on the line.
Should the boy attack, Kaen would let him strike him in an attempt to show him he was outmatched, perhaps that would be enough to calm him. Should the attack take place and Kanmuri struck Kaen with his blade, blood would spurt outwards in a dramatic fashion. At first it would appear that he struck a vital blow, he would soon realize just what kind of being Kaen was. (Using Chimera Implant - Renewal from Temporal Strider. RPd as accelerated healing instead of time reversal) The wound would seal itself up with astonishing speed, almost inhuman you could say. "Don't do that again... As your new master, I command you to lay down your arms and submit. Do not test my patience." Assuming that the rage was still driving his body, Kaen would be prepared for another attempt and would easily cast it aside with a shield of flames that wouldn't even hint at failing against Kanmuri's blade. If a second attack was made, Kaen would use his flaming shield and counter by quickly appearing behind the boy and knocking him out.
Kanmuri would awake at the hospital with Kaen staring outside the window, obviously waiting for him to wake. Though if none of these things took place and Kanmuri was able to calm himself thus eliminating the need for such drastic measures, Kaen would escort him to the hospital regardless and the same conversation would take place anyway. "How are you feeling?" Kaen's gaze would remain fixed upon the window that overlooked the majority of Sunagakure.
Hand moving blisteringly fast, Kanmuri casted a genjutsu that would give Gin a small taste of the pain he was going to endure, the pain of having your eyes gouged out. The Uchiha would quickly put his hands over his eyes and clench his head as his brain registered piercing pain in his eyes. Although he was trash talking the entire battle, there was only so much that the body could endure, and his body had endure enough. The black haired teen had fainted. The battle was over. However, Kanmuri’s anger was not. Pulling out his sword, the small, eight year old boy surrounded in a darkness and a red aura slowly walked in the direction of the fallen combatant. The reckless, ignorant Uchiha would lose everything and Kanmuri would let no one get in his way.
Just then, a vortex of fire would surround the boy who stood there unfazed. His scarlet colored eyes just started ahead as he was ready to force his way through the vortex. That was the case until the ANBU proctor had appeared in front of him.
"The fight is over, you are victorious. Quell your inner flames boy and come to reason."</COLOR><i></i>
Kanmuri was gone. His body was on autodrive. There was no chance for reason. All that stood in front of Kanmuri was an obstacle. Obstacles must be removed.
Disregarding the words of the proctor, Kanmuri’s body drew its sword and jammed it into Kaen’s gut as deeply as he could before pulling it out. A small hole would be left in its place, but the squirting of blood would cause the demonic enzymes inside of Kanmuri to go into a frenzy and a euphoric buzz scattered across his body. Kanmuri, for a short while, was forced into his right mind-just long enough to hear the next words of the proctor that stood before him, “Don't do that again... As your new master, I command you to lay down your arms and submit. Do not test my patience”<i></i>
Upon hearing the word master, the manifested demonic aura would blow out like a candle, and the feeling of death that surrounded the boy quickly evaporated. The face of the white haired boy held eyes squinted with annoyance and confusion. In addition to this, the boy’s lips was curled to one side as he simply couldn’t believe what he had just heard. Upon seeing the proctor’s stomach quickly heal, Kanmuri would sigh and shake his head thinking, "I don’t have enough chakra or strength to even dream of beating this guy.
With the same annoyed look on his face, Kanmuri would sternly state, “You have my respect, but you are not my master. My master is Miroku Akkuma, my father. I stand down.”. Kanmuri would then drop his sword to the ground. He couldn’t take the Uchiha’s life. Not yet.
The fire vortex would soon disappear and the demonic enzymes running ramapant inside of Kanmuri’s system would settle down. However, almost immediately, Kanmuri would feel something going on with his heart. His heart...it was being literally torn. Torn, shredded, minced, and stabbed, these were the few words Kanmuri could even think of using to describe the pain as he fell to his knees and clenched his heart with enough force to pierce through his skin.
”AAAAAAGGGGHHHHHH!!!”<i></i> The young boy would would take a second to regain his breath before screaming in agony once again, THe blood chilling screams of pain were only amplified by the white haired boy kneeling before falling over into fetal position. The pain was unimaginably horrible. This coupled with all the bleeding and burns his body had suffered forced the young boy to cry in pain unable to talk-only scream in pain.
Just like the teen that had fallen earlier before him, there was a limit to just how much his body could take, and because of that, Kanmuri coughed out a huge amount of blood before blacking out.
---
The power of a god...always comes with a price.
With strength worthy of applause...our two souls have become spliced.
Come now Kanmuri-kun...you can’t take your last breath.
Shine bright like a full moon…for you are this world’s...future god of death.<i></i>
---
With a gasp, Kanmuri would awaken inside of a quiet operating room. Waking up in a cold sweat, Kanmuri’s heart raced rapidly. His body had been healed for the most part. He assumed it was his own body taking care of itself as it unnaturally did along with some of the nurses. Though that’s not what was on his mind. He had dreamed something-something very important...However, he couldn’t remember. At least, he couldn’t remember now.
Inside the room would be a man with red colored hair. With height similar to that of the proctor of the exam, but Kanmuri wasn’t sure. They were both built the same way, but it could have easily been one of the ANBU’s subordinates. There was no way to tell for sure, not until red-haired man had spoke, <COLOR color="red">“How are you feeling?"
There was no mistaking it. The voice was the same as when he was forced to stop in his tracks and not kill the Uchiha male. Unknown the Kanmuri, the proctor most likely had to remove his ANBU attire before entering the hospital. This was the man behind the mask. However, Kanmuri couldn’t care less at this time. Mustering up what little strength he had, Kanmuri limped out of the bed before falling on the floor and asking, “Where is the Uchiha…”
This was indeed the climax of the fight, though the results didn't quite go how she expected, it wasn't that she thought Kanmuri was weak, nor did she believe that Gin was simply beyond all his opposition. She'd believed that of the two remaining that Kanmuri was just a little more self-destructive and would burn out slightly faster due to that, she was happy to admit though that he had exceeded her expectations and that wasn't an easy feat.
She was quick to act, along with Kaen, hopping down to interfere with the apparent aftermath, she placed herself between the fallen Uchiha and the bloodthirsty child, expecting Kaen would grab his attention fast enough but just giving the situation a little insurance. Sure enough, the wall of flames shot up in front of her face and she exhaled in relief, holding back whilst beating on someone was a difficult task and not having to do it was a relief. "I'm sure we'll be seeing each other around, kid. Congrats." She spoke through the fire, but was already turned around looking at both the downed people she'd been charged with, she was damned close to just leaving Gin where he was and only taking Tsugama, mainly because it would be an easier trip to the hospital but this would also give her a good chance to practice a little with her Magnetism mastery.
She first grabbed Gin, managing to get him up onto her back before magnetizing him to her so he wouldn't fall off, in theory. The Hyuuga girl would get a much gentler approach, being lifted in Tekes arms. "I'll catch up with the two of you later, I'm back in working condition so, you know where to find me, Ruin." She spoke to the two of them before taking off into the sky with an arc of lightning from her feet.
She landed at the entrance to the hospital and walked in, casually for someone holding two unconscious people, all eyes were on her which made giving instructions easier. "Okay, multiple injuries, likely some blood loss and possible breaks and fractures. They're also Doujutsu users so eye trauma is possible, please hurry and take them off my hands." She announced out all at once, quickly the trolleys arrived and both of them were taken to their respective areas to be treated, Teke quickly followed after the girl. Once confirming where she was, she hastily wrote a small note and slipped it into the girl's possessions, somewhere she'd find it easily. Just a few words and an address were on the paper and if she was as smart as she seemed, she'd be there as soon as she could be.
A subtle thunk could be heard from behind Kaen as he remained staring out the window. “Where is the Uchiha…” Despite his hospitalization and the obvious amount of damage he had sustained, Kanmuri's hunger was not quite sated. Kaen fully understood the feelings Kanmuri was experiencing, but he would need to learn to bide his time as Kaen has before in order to achieve his end goals. Kaen took a deep breath with his nostrils while closing his eyes. The air was filled with nearly tangible sensations. The flowers on his side table, freshly picked this morning. The hot food down the hall from the cafeteria, ready to be served for lunch. The iron heavy on the air from open wounds, the scent of blood hanging loosely upon the air. But above all else he smelled Kanmuri. The smell of anger, pain and inner turmoil. Something he himself was familiar with, but only time would reveal such curiosities. For now only a few things mattered this day. Firstly Kanmuri's ascension to Anbu in Training. Secondly Kanmuri's relationship with the demon known as Akkuma. Many questions arose upon hearing his name aloud, from this child no less. It couldn't have been a coincidence that this boy would fall into his lap, somehow taking the victory in the arena. Finally letting loose the air within his lungs, Kaen would turn to face his new apprentice.
"The Uchiha? In terms of location or combat capabilities? The answer to both is far from where you are now." Kaen slowly walked to the other side of the bed where Kanmuri was still laying and outreached a single hand attempting to help him up. Whether or not he accepted his help would determine just how difficult a road training this boy would be. Once he was back up onto the bed, Kaen would try and pull the white sheet back over the boy. As he leaned in he pressed the button to alert the nurses that the boy needed assistance. "Nurse's station, how can I help you?" Kaen would use a basic jutsu to transform and disguise his voice to that of a familiar face. "Yes, could you send someone in with some pain medication, preferably the morphine. Our patient is experiencing extreme discomfort from his condition." A slight pause could be heard before the nurse responded. "Yes of course, doctor. We will be there momentarily." The intercom would cut out as the nurses were sent on their little errand. Kaen would refocus his attentions back to Kanmuri. "There are many things I wish to discuss with you, but I'm currently short on time as I have important matters to attend to with my other apprentice." Suddenly the door opened up as nurse walked through.
She looked at Kanmuri first, but by the time she glanced over to Kaen, he had already weaved a seal that would transform his body into the visage of a attractive blonde woman. "Thank you, you can leave it on the counter. I will administer it myself. That will be all." The nurse nodded in compliance with the shapeshifted Kaen and left the pouch of medicine on the counter before leaving the room, closing the door behind her. Kaen's disguise was immediately dropped and the conversation resumed. Kaen would work as he talked, removing the label from the IV bag of morphine and switching it with the saline label that was currently being pumped into Kanmuri. "Don't worry yourself though, I will not be gone long and upon my return your training will commmence. By the time I am done with you, or even a part way, people like that Uchiha will not be a problem. Though I'm sure your connection with the Miroku clan will be just as beneficial as your training with me. I'm sure you have a few questions, as do I, but we will have time for that later. Get some rest, I will call for you when the time is right." And with that Kaen would pocket the bag of morphine while also pulling out a single scroll and placing it upon the side table directly next to Kanmuri. Kaen would walk to the window and push it open and step part way through before turning back to Kanmuri. Congratulations on attaining the rank of Anbu apprentice. The scroll contains your basic Anbu gear, do not lose it." And then he was gone...
Though he had left Kanmuri's room, he had not left the premises. In fact he had only dropped a floor below, reentering the building through another window. Inside the room was a familiar face, Gin. He was asleep, but the window disturbed his slumber. Kaen quickly took on the appearance of the doctor from before, making it seem as if he was only closing the window. "D-doctor?" Kaen would turn around after closing the window; "Someone apparently thinks we can spare the cool A/C air to the rest of wind country. Don't mind me, just checking in on my patients." Gin would nod, unaware of Kaen's deception and would close his eyes once more. Kaen would look over his charts and eye the levels of his various drip lines, attempting to make it seem as if he was only there for work. Once he was sure his cover would not be blown, he started to rummage through the various drawers before finding what he needed. "What's that for?" Gin suddenly opened his eyes again, wondering why Kaen had a syringe and a empty vial. "No cause for alarm, dear. Just need to run a few tests to be sure you haven't caught anything extra during your stay here. Once again Gin would foolishly nod and accept it. Kaen, having a bit of medical knowledge within his mind, thanks to his sister Kasen, would retrieve a sample of the boy's blood and pocket it, throwing the syringe away in the appropriate sharps container. With his goal completed, Kaen would exit the room and the building as well. Turning a corner he would let the transformation end, a sly smile would spread across his face and reveal his razor sharp teeth and a look in his eye that spelled only malicious intent.
[OOC topic left, multiple uses of transformation to appear like Akujin/Kyuji, the current medical chief]
EDIT: [OOC - Anbu in Training granted to Kanmuri, be sure to request a banner change here: https://ninpocho.com/viewtopic.php?f=416&t=3071]
Upon hearing the question, the rather tall red-haired man would take a deep breath and turn his head toward the eight year old boy. His face and teeth were sharp while his eyes were burning crimson red. What stood out to Kanmuri the most was his eyes.Though the age gap was obvious, they had something similar, they had the same eyes. Despite being slightly different colors, they had the same eyes. Despite coming from two different backgrounds, these two who shinobi, master and apprentice, had the same eyes, the eyes dreadful eyes of conviction. Kanmuri couldn’t tell for sure, but he had a gut feeling, that this wasn’t a meeting by chance. Fate may have led them here today. Fate was pushing them together.
The man would answer Kanmuri saying, "The Uchiha? In terms of location or combat capabilities? The answer to both is far from where you are now."</B><i></i>
Hearing these words made Kanmuri clench his fists with what little strength he was able to muster. It hurt. There was a someone who stood contrary to his ideology-someone who forced him to take the life of another person. Now, that person was gone, and he didn’t even beat him with his own power. Kanmuri was outclassed. Gin was much stronger than he, and just like Tsugama, he could have easily lost his own life had it not been for fate.
The older man would slowly walk towards Kanmuri and outstretch his hand. Instinctually, Kanmuri wanted to deny the hand and get up himself, but he couldn’t. His conscious wouldn’t let him.
Father always told me to give respect to those who deserve it...if I denied this hand, not only would I display my inability to lead others, but I’d bring shame to the Miroku clan. This isn’t a time for pride. This is the beginning of our relationship, the relationship of an apprentice...and...a new...master… The scarlet-eyed boy would think to himself.
Although he took some time to think, Kanmuri would accept the dry, rugged hands of his new master and make his way back onto the bed. Pulling the sheets over Kanmuri, the man would also press a button and transform into a new person as he issued out an order. Once finished with his mimicry, Kanmuri’s new master would turn his head toward Kanmuri once more and say, "There are many things I wish to discuss with you, but I'm currently short on time as I have important matters to attend to with my other apprentice."</B><i></i>
Suddenly the door would open and a nurse would come in and direct her focus to Kanmuri, who was watching how quickly the red-haired man had transformed his image to the same one he used to make the call. While the two talked, the white-haired boy would think So he has another apprentice. How many does he have and how do I stack up the rest of them…?
Before Kanmuri could have any more thoughts, his new master would proceed to do something beside him, but the boy was too tired to turn his head and look. Instead, he only listened to the words that the man was saying, "Don't worry yourself though, I will not be gone long and upon my return your training will commence. By the time I am done with you, or even a part way, people like that Uchiha will not be a problem. Though I'm sure your connection with the Miroku clan will be just as beneficial as your training with me. I'm sure you have a few questions, as do I, but we will have time for that later. Get some rest, I will call for you when the time is right."<i></i>
He’d begin to move to the window as he said his parting words, <B>“Congratulations on attaining the rank of Anbu apprentice. The scroll contains your basic Anbu gear, do not lose it.". With a jump out of the window, the man was gone just like that.
In that room alone, Kanmuri was left alone with his thoughts. The eight year old boy would close his eyes and think. I've done it dad...The first stage of our plans are in motion...My official Genin exam isn’t that far away as well. I <B>will bring honor and glory to the Miroku Clan. The world will come to respect us, one way or another. Finally…I, Miroku Kanmuri will bring your dream of shinobi restoration to pass, Father... and with that, the young boy of promise would close his eyes and drift to sleep as another chapter of his life would begin.
